Dear Sir/Mam,
I've booked my ticket through irctc PNR No:-[protected], my ticket get confirmed in RAC seat no(RS3-15).But in the chart Some other name was written with different PNR No:-[protected](both the seat in this PNR). but when i get PNR status via net it shows the seat no seat no(RS3-15).Plz. help me out

    INABILITY TO UPDATE MY PROFILE

    Dear Sir,

    I have an IRCTC log in Account by the name vijayrao51 Tel No: [protected]. When I logged in to my Account and tried to buy a train ticket I received the message " Booking is not allowed as your Account has been suspended". When I made the complaint to make My Trip they generated a Reference ID[protected]. i subsequently received message from IRCTC to update my profile.

    I have cancelled my AIR E TICKET'S ;[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected] from Jaipur to Goa vide IRCTC Transaction ID:[protected] on 14.06.2012 ,since then I am in touch with ITCTC via e-mail as well at their customer care center toll free number [protected] for refund .Bit till date neither the refund has been credited to my account nor they are in a position to commit a date by which the refund would be credited to my Bank Account.

    As a last resource I request you to take up the matter with IRCTC so that I could get the refund.

        I was booking two tickets from Dehra Dun to New Delhi for train no 12206 ( AC Express ) for 5th July 2012.
        The tickets were booked in the name of Anupama Pandhi and Avnash Wahi.
        After filling the form and submitting the form the money is deducted from my State Bank Debit Card.

          I had booked the following 2 tickets from Secunderabad to visakhapatnam by tatkal on 25-june- 2012 for the following reason:-


          I had initially booked by
          train no:12806 (Janmabhoomi exp),
          PNR no: [protected] ,
          ACC-
          doj:26/6/2012,
          ( seat no:43)

          However the amount got debited immediately , but ticket was not generated. Neither there was sms confirmation nor email was sent. Infact, i am getting email today for this. ( seat no:43)

          Then, since time is running out and was deparate to get the ticket on the same train, i requested my sister in law to do the booking as my system was slow from her ID and got ticket booked with

          subsequently i called IRCTC on phone immediately, there was none to help and was advised by customer care to talk to Ticket Examiner on the train or give the ticket to some one and take money.

          In good faith , i asked TT to help, who washed off his hands, saying he cannot do such thing. I now have teh following to ask, why would i make 2 bookings for teh same train and same date and class. I have seen subsequently , railways alloted that berth to some one else . Hence, my request is since the seat to new passenger and railway got 2 ticket fare for teh same seat. I request to you to kindly refund 1 ticket fare in good faith, i have already paid excess money by way of tatkal and there was no way i could have got refund through my user account.
          Appreciate your earliest help in this regard.

          Railways have washed off their hands in this case and made money two times for 1 ticket/seat

          To whom so ever it may concern,

          This mail is in regards to two tickets booked which I have booked on 6-Nov-2009 for the journey on 16-Dec-09 . But till the date of journey onIy one ticket out of two was confirmed. While talking to IRCTC Customer Care Executive I came to know that to claim refund of one ticket I need to undergo their TDR process and by 90 days I will get the refund.

          I have done the process advise by CCE (IRCTC) but till date I have not received the refund it is almost 100 days. Also I have complain them via phones and email but no reply was given.

          sir,
          i have booked two tickets through irctc website and later cancelled it on 16th august2014. The refund date for those tickets were listed as 18th august2014 on my irctc account but till now i haven't received any refund in my bank account.Inspite of repeated calls to the irctc customer care I haven't received any positive response.So, please find a solution to this as the ticket refund amount is 2620 rupees.The details of the transaction are provided below:

          I had booked Rajdhani train from Ernavalam(ERS) to Vadodara Station(BRC) on[protected], but due to the Gujjar protests in Rajasthan the trains were getting diverted from Panvel and were not touching Gujarat. I had filed a TDR for the same but only got half of the ticket amount .The ticket amount in all cost me 10020 and i was only refunded 4960, i.e half of the amount.
          We have booked a ticket in train no. 08798 durg premium sp from new delhi to raipur for dated 24th april 2014 (pnr no.[protected]). in this train tickets are booked only e-tickets. and once booked tickets can't cancelled the tickets. in meantime railway cancelled this train train due ti insufficient booking. and a new are published in naiduniya daily news paper this train cancelled due to insufficient booking and refund directly in the concering bank a/c.
          it is comlete liabilities of IRCTC to refund immediately because they withdraw the service.
          kindly take the appropiate action and refund the amount in my account with @24% interest

            No Refund after nearly a month.
            Reason for TDR :
            Irctc confirmed one ticket among family of 5. All other tickets were WL 1/2/3/4.

            I fail to understand the logic of confirming one ticket. The rule does not permit travel on waitlisted e-ticket. The authorities have not responded to my querry.

            Most of the time the querries seem to be answered by unknown( no name or designation is mentioned on the mail response) youngsters in an immature manner.

            I have submitted by ticket to IRCTC for cancellation & refund against PNR no. [protected] on 09.06.2008 as the ticket was under RAC status & i did not travelled due to non avialibility of confrmed reservation.

            It was promised that teh refund would be credited back to my account within 60 -90 days. Till date i have not received the refund & i am not getting any response from IRCTC to my mails being sent to IRCTC regularly.

            Canara Bank & Indian Railways — Refund of Amount Charged Wrongly

            I booked Railway tickets through the Internet on the afternoon of 05th Oct 2008 vide my ATM Card of Canara bank which could not materialize and this was also confirmed by an e.mail from end of IRCTC.

            However, I find that you my SB A/c with Canara Bank, Cantonment Agra has been debited with Rs. 560/- and Rs. 10/- respectively for no fault of mine. When I have not been provided a Service why charge for it. ( transaction id [protected] was a settlement-failed transaction )

            I've booked a ticket (PNR : [protected]) from IRCTC on Feb 28, 2009 for Rajdhani (Train number : 2301) and the date of journey was Mar 02, 2009. The number of passengers were three out of which only one confirmed. So, only the confirmed passenger boarded the train and rest two did not.

            I then filed a TDR on Mar 03, 2009 and as per the information, I should receive the full refund against two passengers fare within 90 days of filing TDR but it's been more than 120 days and still I've not received the refund. I called IRCTC atleast 10 times, emailed him atleast 7 times but of no result, also their behaviour are so rude, they are not ready to help me.

            It's a kind request to you that please look into this matter and help me get the full refund immediately. I would be very thankful to you for this.

            I had booked two etickets from JAT to UMB (PNR No. [protected]) for four passangers and JAT to NDLS (PNR No: [protected]) for two passangers. The train was late 6 hours so I had requested IRCTC to cancel both tickets. I have received the refund for one PNR No. [protected] only but didn't receive the refund for PNR No: [protected] till now. More than one year has already been passed. So you are requested to please look into the matter and do the needful at the earliest
            This is with reference to the grievance no MORLY/E/2009/01437 filed through Public Grievance no. I have filled the grievance after I had done my bit to follow up with IRCTC on the refund due to me. I had escalated the matter to the highest most authority I could in IRCTC and I have got a very cold response.

            After not getting the response from IRCTC, I had put the complaint in the grievance system and the sad part is that the problem still remains unresolved.

            My request is to get the problem resolved and also to punish the responsible persons in the entire chain who have not fulfilled their part of the responsibilities.

            I booked a train ticket for journey on 5 June 2009. Status of ticket was wait listed. However at the time of chart preparation it became RAC. Therefore I did not travel and sent email for full refund. But I was refunded only 50%. After my complaint to [protected]@irctc.com, I was told that the case for remaining refund will be processed. whenever I send reminder, I get the same reply that refund is being processed. Almost one year is passed and I am still waiting for my refund. My details are:

            I had cancelled a train ticket (PNR - [protected], Train Number - 2874, Date Of Journey: 28/5/2010) on 29th May 2010 since the train got scheduled to depart more than 3 hours from the original departure time at the starting station and also there was a route change i.e. the train was NOT going through it's regular route. My destination station (DTO) was not in the revised route hence I did not board the train and raised a TDR on the very next day.

            There has not been any refund till today i.e. 31st May 2011 (more than 365 days). Can someone look into this and get back with reasons of delay.

            I had booked some tickets via www.irctc.co.in through my united bank of india' s debit card via hdfc pg gateway, some tickets were cancelled and the amount which should be deposited into my account has still not been deposited, when consulted to irctc.co.in they said the amount has been remmited by them but the transaction has been not completed and the amount is deposited to HDFC PG when consulted them they asked me to the provider of the card that is united bank. and when i asked united bank their reply was that there was no receipt of the money.

            IRCTC will book if even one tkt is available. Probably out of 5 passengers, only one had confirmed availability. Others obviously would have gone to waiting list.

            This is what happens in a system (who books first they will get tkt). So please dont blame irctc site for it. It is logically may be wrong but technically correct. There are lot of cases where one tkt is booked and they actually travel.

            I booked two tickets one from Mumbai Central to Jaipur (Journey Date - 1/11/2013) and the other one of Jaipur To Mumbai Central (4/11/2013).                 i have same problem .IRCTC deducted Rs. 20 extra without any detail, from my account without any confirmation next day after making online reservation of two tickets.

                Any transaction either can make bank or by confirmation of owner of account . otherwise it is "illegal".

                and this transfer of money is not fulfill legal requirements, and without any notice so it is cheating and fraud to customers.

                    Today (26/06/2012) I have done an online transaction to purchase a ticket on KOCHUVELI GR from YPR City Jn to CNGR boarding on 05/0712 for Ms.Hima Anna Abraham. Unfortunately after the payment was made through UBI payment gateway, the error, "REDIRECT=https://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/bankrespon... came up without giving me the confirmation of the payment and neither the ticket is generated.

                    This is really embarrasing situation and IRCTC is expected to help me at the earliest with the ticket if the payment is already confirmed at their end. If not refund the same amount.

                      Napkin.When i wanted to lodge complaint he became furious and even refused to disclose his name,Fearing action stated his name wrongly
                      as Venkatesh.When i insisted to change the pillow cover & blanket as they were already used by occupants, it was also rejected.

                      i am travelling in train number 8473 on 5. 2. 9 from nagpur to jaipur . There are rats in the ac coach . There are insects in the coach. The done serve by the pantry car staff is worst and after asking about the complaint book they told that the complaint book is with the TT.. After asking the same from
                      I AM TRYING TO BOOK THE E TICKETS BUT FAILED TO DO SO BECAUSE YOUR SITE RESPONSE
                      IS TO SLOW FEW DAYS BACK IT WAS VERY EASY TO BOOK THE TICKETS
                      Every year the service and condition of Netravati (train from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Trivandrum and back) is getting from bad to worse.

                      We usually travel by 3 tier AC to and fro Kerala, but for a change I booked for our return trip from Kollam on March 20th on 2 tier AC thinking that the journey will be a premium trip and my family will enjoy it. To my disappointment the Rs. 1600 I paid extra over the 3 tier AC (for three 2 tier tickets) was completely wasted. As there was no difference between 2 tier and 3 tier. The only notable difference was the curtains in between. But on the contrast the bed sheets were torn. The railway pantry boys who are usually bad turned out to be horrible as they were just bumping onto us, back answering when we would say something like "We dont need wada". When we passed over a torn tape-applied currency note received from one pantry boy to another, he wont accept it.

                      This was not the end. The Air condition was not functioning. We were offered seat no. 17,18 and 20. I had to tell the Ticket Checker 5 times before he got a AC technician and checked the AC vent and found out that someone had closed the AC vent manually and hence our cabin space was not getting enough cooling.

                      This was not the end the train was very much unclean. We could find cockroaches every where.
                      There is nothing called housekeeping to check the cleanliness after a journey is over. We found banana peel left on the bottle holders. Almost felt like puking on seeing it.

                      I was completely unsatisfied that our return trip after paying more than Rs. 5000 for three passengers was went down the drain.

                      If the consumer complaints board could help people like me take up the matter with IRCTC I am ready to furnish details of my ticket so that we can help other passengers not to undergo this kind of service.
                      Dear Sir,

                      Now a Days service of irctc has become so poor. Neither they post the message on their website that "CUSTOMER SHOULD NOT BOOK TICKETS FROM IRCTC ONLINE BETWEEN THE TIME (08:00 TO 10:00) nor they are trying to improve the server capability. In case o[censored]rgency of a customer, if he want to make a tatkal ticket, he cann't obtain the same as every time website message found "SERVICE UNAVAILABLE". If he could reach the booking screen somehow, then all the available tickets would sold out.

                      In booking counter also, the security person also not co-oprating with the customers as they took bribes and made enter to those people secretly in the hall prior to open the main gate. I am special talking about the case at "Railway counter near to Sect-22, Noida, UP". Customer has to wait there from 12:00 am night, just to get a ticket booked for his urgency.

                      Just suggest us how we could plan our travel, if the same situation will go on. Even I had tried to contact irctc customer care, they said their server is working fine, and instruct us to get a fast internet service and some ridiculus answers.

                      Its our humble request please look into the matter, as lots of customers are suffering.

                        I.R.C.T.C. — Cancellation of E Ticket

                        Sir i have book A E Ticket on railways website I.R.C.T.C. Ltd on 28/03/2008. The PNR No is [protected] and transation ID is [protected] The Train no.is 2816 PURI express From Station Etawah(ETW) TO Allahabad (ALD).The date of journey is 29/03/2008 in sleeper class (SL)in General Quota.The Train was do not stop at the Etawah Station and i am not complleted my journey.So i want to cancelled my ticket and make refund
                        An e-ticket was purchased for journey from Rajgangpur to Bhubaneswar for 6th Dec-2008 by Tapaswini Express in 3AC. The same journey could not be undertaken. Since the decision could be taken at the last hour, half an hour before the departure time at the boarding station, an email was sent just before the departure time of the train at the boarding station on the same day i.e. dec 6th, 2008, to [protected]@irctc.co.in as well as to [protected]@irctc.co.in for cancelling the tkt since chart had been already prepared. Seeing no response from IRCTC in the first week of January 2009, an email was sent, to which they mention the rules that when you and how you have to cancel an e-ticket, something which I am already aware of, because this is not my first offline cancellation.

                        Whatever refund money I could have got, its all gone. This is what I understand.

                        I have booked ticket and Pnr status is [protected] and my transaction id is [protected]. The reason to cancel the ticket is that we are not getting the proper information whether the train is cancelled or schedule is change. There is a high alert of flood in Gujarat. so its my request to u that you will look into this matter and will do kindly refund as soon as possible.

                          Dear Authority,

                          I have couple of complaints against IRCTC online booking service.

                          1. It is observed that the online booking for Tatkal tickets does not take place from 08:00 Hrs to 08:40 Hrs using consumer IDs. However when we approach Agents they are able to get these tickets. For their service we need to pay them additional charges. Please find example : My friend Bhavana Singh was booking ticket from Renigunta to Pune on 23rd June 2012 for 24th train. Prior to 08:00 Hrs the availability was showing 172 tickets for Tatkal quota. Just at 08:00 Hrs our connection was not establishing. And we were seeing that the availability went on reducing. When it was 08:31 we got our ticket with PNR [protected] and the status was CKWL 55 and CKWL 56.
                          This signifies that there is some issue for Tatkal booking for individual customers. Agents are making good business as for the same train copassengers went to agent and they got their confirmed tickets.

                          In our area we are seeing that the agents are keeping their men in the queue for ticket booking for complete night who quarrel if normal passengers want their due preferance.

                          2. When there were around 100 tickets available and I was booking 3 2-tier tickets in Azad hind Express from Bhusaval-Pune. I was alloted with 3 Upper Birth tickets despite giving my In-laws age details. Programming need to be checked in this case for ticket reservation system.

                          IRCTC — not able to book tickets from bangalore

                          None of the trains from / to bangalore are showing in the site and not able to book the tickets in those trains.
                          This happens once in a while like yesterday evening and today evening this problem is there
                          Today morning and yesterday morning it was showing trains from bangalore

                          IRCTC. — Not able to book online ticket from IRCTC.

                          I am unable to do book online ticket. Always getting "Unable to retrieve train list." . This is happeneing since last 10 days. Please inteme people that any problem with the site or the site is not at all working. Many people are depending on online booking. please take this as serious and rectify this.

                          I am not able to book tickets on IRCTC for the past few days. The error I get is "Unable to retrieve train list" I cant understand why IRCTC runs this site. Half the time we cannot access it and when we access we cant book tickets! Please fix the same at the earliest.

                            From the past 1 week i have been trying to book railway tickets from delhi to bangalore. But due to ridiculously slow speeds of the irctc server, i am unable to book the ticket. Half the time it says that your session has expired, sometimes it just hangs up.

                            In this cyber age and the IT capital of this world - INDIA, even one basic website is not made properly.

                            I am trying to book tickets for the 25th july, i am taking the screenshots everytime from now on. If my ticket doesnt get booked i will literally take the entire case to a consumer court.

                                I have a account in irctic.. but i forgot my password. when i gave answer of the security question it showed that my password is reset and sent to my registered email id. but i have not received any email regarding this matter. i have mailed to [protected]@irctc.co.in since yesterday night for several times.. but the problem is not solved yet.. when i am going to sign up an new account mobile verificatin code is sent to my mobile number but no corfirmation email has been sent from irctc website.. so neither i can access my old account nor can create a new one.. so in this matter please do the needful.

                                    I booked railway ticket vide PNR no-[protected] in train no 12841, doj - 16.06.2012, 3A, HWH to CTC, D Mishra, T Rath and Praneel (4years) RQWL 08 and 09. dtd 05.06.12 at 15:08hrs.
                                    At final chart, status was- Booking # 01-B3, seat 01,and # 02 - W/L - 01. As I was journing with my family with a baby, it was impossible to travel with E-ticket waiting list. Instead of making it RAC, the IRCTC confirm one ticket. Asking the TTE, refused to allow two persons in one confirm ticket. It gave me harassment and I travel in General ticket in other train. Please take necessary action for returning of my money expended for the tickets

                                      I have cancelled the IRCTC ticket on 6th jun 2012. The PNR number is [protected] to travel from bangalore to chennai on 8th June 2012.
                                      The refund status shows as refuned in the IRCTC site. But i didn't get the amount yet in my credit card. I have done the transaction through CITI bank to book the ticket. The Receipt number in IRCTC site is shown as IRCTC 7341-[protected]. The amount is Rs. 435

                                      Please help me on this.
