I booked the rail ticket from secunderabad to Warangal in Satavahana Express / 12714 on[protected], PNR : [protected]. Status when booked was : WL 14 / WL 2, WL 15 / WL 3, WL 16 / WL 4, WL 17 / WL 5

Ticket status was CONFIRMED (CNF) when checked online(06-Apr-2012 - Morning) and even checked via SMS, status shown CNF.. After reaching railway station our ticket status showing WL 6, WL 7, WL 8, WL 9.. i am shocked of this and approached rly team, they said as they cant do anything since this ticket booked online as asked me to file a complaint. Because of this IRCTC cheating my journey with my family got disturbed and myself and my family was suffered to travel by other train..

I am wondered of ticket reservation status, it should be same as at time of booking or should be low... i dont understand the ticket status gone beyond the booking time status after chart preparation.

could you please guide me how to file a case on IRCTC...

    Since irctc tatkal ticket booking is always sought after option for last minute bookings I got myself ready at 7.45 am in order to carry out booking for matsyaganda express from madgaon to lokmanya tilak terminus.

    After a lot of struggle (site going down, site not responding, not being taken to payment gateway) I managed to find that the availability for sleeper class was 66. I immediately entered pessenger details and made payment through ICICI net banking.

    The bank confirmed the payment but irctc was not ready to accept the payment. I logged in again to my bank account and found that rs. 390 has been deducted from my account by irctc.

    I wrote an email to irctc and the response was /" As your payment status for [protected] was not communicated by the payment gateway in time, the ticket booking DID not materialize./"

    Irctc is cheating the retail customers through such scams and providing good service to 'ticket agents' by accepting bribes from them.

      Hello Sir/Madam,

      This is completely not fare with irctc.co.in web page. It takes almost life to open the webpage. If supposed the page loads, it opens with errors. It won't highlight option, it won't booking details, nothing. Option highlighting to make payment is a dream.

      I understand that it is a wide network spread around India, however they should maintain the servers in proper manner. If you do not enter a keyword within 30/60 seconds the page automatically expires. you have to wait for a while for the the keyword to highlight itself. If the site doesn't allow to enter/take the keyword, then how will the transaction complete.

      It's just waste of time sitting in front of the site to load and complete transaction. I'll never use this site again, inspite I'll prefer the booking counter. They are better than this website.

      I would suggest to shut down the website when it is of no use to public. I am sorry if i'm rude, but I have missed my important travel due to this reason. Website is the culprit. I would never trust this site again.

      If possible take action regarding this.

        IRCTC Rail Ticket — Not yet delivered

        I booked a ticket from IRCTC on 19.06.08 for my daughter Sumi Ghosh for Yeshwantpur to Nagpur by 3A class. The PNR no. of ticket is [protected] and transaction ID is [protected]. The ticket was received at your Delhi office on 20.06.08 and the AWB No. is[protected]. The ticket is not yet delivered at the given address. The date of journey is 16.07.08. So kindly deliver the ticket immediately. If the date of journey was earlier then I don't know how could I travel? It is causing me lot of tension & mental agony. Let me know what are the alternatives available to me, if I don't receive the ticket in time. Expect an early solution. Thanks.

          I had booked a ticket from Tuticorin to Bangalore on 05.04.2012 by Tuticorin Express on 30.03.2012 and the pnr no.[protected] and the transaction id no. [protected]. the cost of the ticket was Rs. 182/- and Rs. 10/- totalling Rs.192/- . But the cost of
          the ticket is debited to my account twice i.e. 30.03.2012 at 13.26 hrs and again 13.38 hrs. I request you to please refund cost of
          excess debited to my account no.[protected].

          I appreciate you are looking into the matter and get the refund without any delay.

            I have attempted to book e-tickets by New Delhi Kalka Shatabdi on 2 occasions. Each time the payments were made through citibank credit card and SBI online banking and amount deducted from my accounts each time.. But the transaction did not mature and e-ticket could not be generated.

            I had booked 2 nos. I tickets vide PNR [protected] and [protected] and which were despatched through their courier co vide AWB nos.[protected] and[protected] respectively.These tickets were never delivered to me at the address indicated.I have been following up with IRCTC as well as Overnite Express since 12th June 2009 and are yet to receive a satisfactory reply.I have sent mails and made numerous telephone calls but the answer is a standard one - "tickets have been received by Anil on 28th May".There is no Anil staying at the address nor is there any Anil in the neighbourhood.

            I believe this is a racket of misutilisation of the ticket and needs a serious investigation - something that IRCTC as well as the courier co is just not initiating.
            i Booked one tiket in the name of S. Krishna reddy. Ticket payment paid to railyway department but e- ticket is not received.

He came here at 10 pm. So i called to irctc chennai customer care no and delhi customer care no also. but No one to reply. Then y activating customer cares. We don get the help at what time we need. Its service too poor.Wat we will do i[censored]rgent means pls take care of our problems.

                ticket booking fraud

                Guys myself Vishal and i made a booking from hyderabad to vizag using irctc tatkal process and while making the booking the transaction failed and that was for godavari express which was available for confirmation, however as the transaction failed i made a booking through garibrath which was under wait list and that ticket was successful for wait list and i got a msg from bank stating amount got debited from my account, however after 5-6hrs...

                That time amount was taken from my amount but ticket was not booked.

Still they are showing the massage that it is under verification. When i used to contact them they use to say that it will come within 90 days (that period also over).                       I am also having same kind of problem. I filled the following TDR's:

                      I sent lot of remainders to IRCTC and they are continuously replying that the case already being sent to the concerned railways but payment is still pending. My money is blocked but we cannot do anything.

                      Is anybody aware of the way to approach where we can get the solution?

                      I am thinking to send the complaint under RTI but doubtful whether the solution will come.

                      Due to some practical reason i failed to board the train on same ticket.
                      Within some hour i filed TDR on IRCTC website
                      But after four months i got reply from the TDR team that passenger has traveled on the train, case is repudiated.

                      My train was to depart at 11.55 Pm on 29th March 15 but I couldn't catch it due it some emergency so finally tried to file the TDR but found that the website was under maintenance for 4 hours. So as an acknowledgement we sent a mail at [protected]@irctc.co.in informing them that we need file a TDR but couldn't do as website is under maintenance.

                      Also we alarmed our clock as per the stipulated time mentioned when we could file the TDR online and I was finally able to file it at 3 am in the morning. I do not understand the reason why they are not considering the mail sent at the right time instead just informing that we had filled a late TDR online which would not be considered..

                      It was not my fault that the website was under maintenance, we did as it was mentioned on the web as in case of emergency. I feel cheated by IRCTC as without being at fault they are not refunding our money.

                        Overnite courier guy delivered ticket to security man of my society & security guy lost the ticket.

                        Train Fare — Couldn't get the train fare of cancelled train almost 6 months has been passed.

                        I've been using the IRCTC site for booking tickets for quiet some time.During the month of Dec.I filed a TDR to claim the refund stating that the train was late by 9 hrs.The PNR against which the TDR was claimed is [protected].
                        Now during the month of March I get a reply stating that I've fraudulently claimed a TDR because I've travelled in it. I filed a TDR after I spoke to the customer care executive and he was the one who told me to file a TDR.
                        Now I've been regularly mailng to IRCTC.But ther is no reply from there side .They have blocked my user ID.My shubhyatra points earned through my Bookings have gone vain.Pls. suggest me as to whats to be done to resolve this issue.

                        I had booked ticket from IRCTC for 6 person and 1 ticket got conferm out of 5 so i could not travel. I had applied for TDR 3 months back but still no amount has been refunded. Status is "Refund under Process" from last 3 months.

                        I have been calling to customer care for last 2 months regularly without any satisfactorily reply. As per the customer care 60 to 90 days are minimum days for refund and their is no maximum limit. How could it possible??

The said train if at all reached destination must have reached after 15th morning. It is obvious that there was no point travelling as he had planned his tour solely for this purpose.
                        4- The inordinate delay of departure of the said train of 13th Oct (Probably departed on 14th Oct) compelled him to cancel his return joruney ticket PNR No.- [protected] on 14th Oct as he did not travel at all.
                        5- My son is a Teacher in DPS, Damanjodi. He was on Durgapuja Holidays at Cuttack. He went to Damanjodi by Hirakhand Express on 21st Oct vide PNR No-[protected] booked from my portal. So no proof of presence in office can be provided.

                        Now I am sure you will understand that none of the proofs you have asked for are applicable and cannot be provided and cancellation of return journey ticket of the same passenger is a proof sufficient enough for processing the TDR.

On verification railway has conveyed that the passenger(s) have/has travelled. In case you have any proof of not travelled like presence in office, medical certificate or PNR No. of other train ticket in case of alternate travelling etc, then please specify and send the documentary evidence so that we can again forward your case to the concerned Railways to reconsider your case.

                          * The refund process will take at-least 90 days and more

                          What does mean ,What is the maximum time period to get refund.They should provide maximum number of cut off days to refund.

                          Simply they cancel this TDR service instead of this rule.

                            The Website to buy online tickets for train journey of Indian Railways thru- IRCTC is found to be highly in accessible amounting to negligence in the public service sector, partisan accessability towards agents for buying tickets and working aganist the interests of legitimate public requirement. I have personally tried to register for the online booking of train tickets thru- IRCTC website, which was really annoying to find that the website never maintain the connectivity. In this way it took nearly 6 hard hours for online registration itself. In fact, this issue, I have been experiencing even when I was trying from outside India, which, I was impressed that the website may not be accessible from outside India. Later, it was found that the same problem persists even from within India. After registering, I have been trying to book the online reservation, which was again a nightmare experience for log-in. After log-in, the website simply disconnected for no reason at the verge of issuing ticket. The disconnections happen, especially when all the credit card details are fed into. This rises suspicion that some third party is accessing continuosly to sabotage the attempts of buying tickets. All this exercises took almost 6 hours but finally I could not get the ticket online. Later, when I tried to buy the tickets thru- some other private online agencies, the ticket was generated in less than 7 minutes with extra charges of INR 25/-.
                            This needs an investigation on the whole system by cyber-crime department. Please do needful. Thanks & Regards -- murthii.

                                Actually i have booked tatkal train ticket on 22.03.2012 Durgapur to Varanasi( Total 6 passengers in two tatkal tickets).
                                based on that ticket i have booked return ticket on23.03.2012 (Mugal sarai to Durgapur)also.( Total 6 passengers in two tickets).
                                But the onward train almost 8 hours delay.so that reasons i cant come back on the return date. in this reason total my money and time wasted.

                                  I had booked Rajdhani tickets in TATKAL quota for[protected] for 3 passengers, all were on Wait List at the time of booking. Only one ticket got confirmed and as per procedure as it was an E-ticket I had filled the TDR form and submitted on the same day itself. The procedure said that the reply would come anytime before 90 days, so I had to wait till then after which they said that as per their records passengers have travelled on that ticket. Where as I have the boarding pass and ticket of the next day early morning flight to Delhi of one of the passengers which I have also attached to this complaint.

                                    I had booked the Qtrly Suburban Train Pass (Mumbai) on 15th March 2012. But till date have not received the same.

                                    Upon contacting your Agent - Overnite Express Ltd, (No. 26853100 to 110) am being directed to their sub- agent whose name is Raju (No. [protected]) and advised to call him. Have been contacting him for last 3 days and his patent answer is "have given to my person for delivery"

                                    Also please note that I am a member of your Shub yatra scheme. I always book my outstation tickets through your website and never had any problems. But this time I am really disappointed with the service of your agents, who doesnt care about the priorities of a valued customer.

                                    I really hope you might help me in this regard as am beginning to lose confidence in your service over this issue.
