For ter refund of money for waiting ticket after chart is prepared

Hopelessly slow

IRCTC sucks. They should fire all the programmers who have implemented this. Was this a school project?
I cannot imagine anyone releasing this SW. An insult to Railways and the nation.
Fire them all.
Slow, unpredictable response, typos, user interface terrible (try typing 4 characters for station name)...
I have tried from both IRTC User interface (their website) and from makemytrip to book rail ticket.

Lower berths are not alloted

I have booked 3 tickets at IRCTC for Garib Rath - 2909 from Mumbai to Delhi, whereby I have opted for Lower berth since two passenger are above 50 and will be able to manage only at Lower berth. But inspite of having 165 (approx) seats available during booking, birth criteria is ignored and given 2UB and 1MB. And also the series are not continuous. Cancellation not possible for Waitlisted tickets

Hi,

I booked my train ticket online via www.irctc.co.in. It was waitlisted even after the chart is prepared. Since I cannot travel on a waitlisted ticket I have decided to cancel it. However system throws an error, "Ticket cannot be cancelled since chart is prepared".

I am neither suppose to travel nor cancel ticket, what does it mean? Look at the height of cheating that too by government org.

ticket not received

Hello,

Today (10/03/2012) I have done an online transaction to purchase a e-ticket. Unfortunately after the payment was made through SBI payment gateway, the error, "REDIRECT=https://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/bankresponse.do?com.broadvision.session.new=Yes&" came up without giving me the confirmation of the payment and neither the ticket is generated.

This is really embarrassing...

Too slow

When IRCTC was started , people wecomed it. Now it is a botheration. It is too slow to have the patience. World is fast and faster, our irctc is slow and slower. Most iritating fact is that , while booking a ticket because of slow process , the fare is deducted but it shows "time expired" . What all nonsense means to embarass the people?
Let I.R. make it quicker , or let it be stopped.

I am absolutely surprised to say that we are saying that we the world one of the best Nation in IT sector. If we are not able to run a government web site, which is very essential in present generation. Then we don’t have any right so say that we are one of the best Nations in the world. UserID & Password invalidaed by IRCTC

Dear sir,
My UserID and Password registered with IRCTC long ago are found INVALID by IRCTC. But It does not allow a NEW Registration with the old Mob Number of mine. It does not suggest any other corrective guideline. It appears anytime one wants to register newly, one has first to buy a new sim with which fresh registration is likely.
What a joke?
What a profession is the Railways of India?
