IRCTC.CO.IN not opening in morning 8am to 8.30am

Anybody wonders what technology irctc.co.in uses…as today I could not open the site from 8 am to 8.30 am at all. Even with 2mbps connection the site failed to do anything.

Sometimes even when the page loaded to fill the form for train inquiry, calendar did not load and u cannot enter the date manually, forcing to relogin.

Other sites like facebook, gmail etc has millions o[censored]sers logged in simultaneously and...

IRCTC SHUBH YATRA — not received the Shubhyatra login details

    Today (14/06/2012) I have done an online transaction to purchase a ticket on12459 NDLSASR EXP from NEW DELHI to JALANDHAR CITY boarding on 14/07/2012 for ROHIT KUMAR. Unfortunately after the payment was made through CANARA payment gateway, the error, "REDIRECT=https://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/bankrespon... came up without giving me the confirmation of the payment and neither the ticket is generated.AS i tried again to book tickets but the same error came. due to which i have lost 812 rs . transaction id are [protected] and [protected].

    This is really embarrasing situation and IRCTC is expected to help me at the earliest with the ticket if the payment is already confirmed at their end. If not refund the same amount.

    Expecting a reply as soon as possible.

      I tried to book ticket in IRCTC and the transaction failed.But even after 5 days since transaction my bank account not credited with refund and also in IRCTC the status showing settlement done.

      Respected sir,
      I wanted to book a railway reservation ticket from Ahmedabad to Kharagpur on 30/04/08.My account id on IRCTC is gita_maity. I have tried to book the ticket through my SBI ATM -cum debit card, but all the transaction has failed. When i have checked my account Rs 537.00 is debited from my account. I have called the concern authority, they assured me money will be refunded to your account with in few days. I have mailed several times to [protected]@irctc.co.in. At last they told me to send the bank statement. I have send them statement on 24/05/08. Till today they have not reply me and not refund Rs. 537.00 .

      Sir please tell me whether Rs. 537.00 will be refund or not. I am unnecessary wasting my time and money to mail and call you. Is it the right way to treat the customers?

      I cancelled my 2 e-tickets with PNR no.[protected] and [protected] on 27th april 2009.It's status is also cancelled, but i have not get the refund amount in my account.Till when can i expect it.Kindly resolve it as soon as possible as i badly need it.

      MY question is that i have booked a ticket from Patna to S. bakhtiyarpur, then the charges taken by
      irctc is 20/- urctc charges and Rs.10/- estra transection charges and on the other hand a person has

      Trains may come late but refunds on time.

      for on line booking Railway is getting double benefit.
      (i) Saving of Booking Clerk's Salary.
      (ii) Office and peripheral not required.
      (iii) No crowed
      (iv) Not to monitor with Police Officials
      (v) Railway Business is the same without any expenditure (software expenses should be met with clerk's salary and office establishment)

      When the Railway is getting all the benefit . Why do they charge an additional amount of Rs.10/- per head and Rs.40/- per PNR.

      NOT TO CHARGE ANY ADDITIONAL AMOUNT FROM THE LOVING TRAIN PASSENGERS
      on 8.8.2009 i had purchased tickets e-tickets using sbi-atm-cum-debit card. When I was making the payment by typing the confirmation code the link to the web site was cut and it prompted me to do the payment once again from the start. So again i login to my irctc site and started the procedure and made my payment of Rs.6267/- + Rs.10/- transaction charges from my sbi atm-cum-debit card for the ticket, Today 10.8.2009 when I checked my bank statement I found to my surprise that an amount of Rs.6277/- has been debited twice from my account whereas I had only purchased 1 ticket. my failed transaction ID No. is [protected]. when i checked refund of my status i found these details. kindly tell me what should I do at this stage.

      I booked one ticket from Vijayawada( BZA) to Visakhapatnam (Train no 2836 ) on 10/11/2009 ON THE INTERNET but the transaction failed due to system fault at the IRCTC website. The amount of money amounting to Rs. 207/- was, however, debited to my SBI account . Their Failed transaction ID is- [protected] dated 10/11/2009.

      So please do the refund to my respective account .

      1. I had purchased ticket for train no 2138 pujab mail fom new delhi to Nasik road for 17 Jan 2010 PNR No [protected] through the IRCTCs e-ticketing service on 9 Jan 2010 Transaction ID [protected]. I cancelled the same through the IRCTCs e-ticketing service on 13 Jan 2010 Transaction ID [protected]. I have not received any refund on my cancelled ticket and neither have i received any information on exactly when will i be refunded my money. The original ticket cost was Rs 1515 and the amount to be refunded was Rs 1455.

      2. Also I had tried to book a ticket for train no 2138 pujab mail fom new delhi to Nasik road for 15 Jan 2010 through the IRCTCs e-ticketing Tatkal service on 13 Jan 2010 at 0830hr. The ticket could not be booked and the screen read "transaction could not be processed" transaction ID [protected]. I tried to book the ticket again and the screen again read "transaction could not be processed" transaction ID [protected]. I later realised to my horror that both times my account was debited for a sum of Rs 2066. making a total sum of Rs 4132.

      3. I was using my SBI ATM cum Debit Card service. I would like the IRCTC MANAGEMENT to kindly look into the matter and get me my money totalling a sum of Rs 5587 back.

      Indian Railways — Refund of Money due to Network failure transcation

      Dear Sir,

      I tried to book my Railway Reservation ticket through IRCTC Online e-ticketing facility on 19/06/2009.

      During the booking process due to network failure my transcation could not succeed and reservation was not done. When i cheked my account balance immediately the balance was showing less amount by Rs 387-03.

      I booked a ticket from Lucknow(LJN) to Raipur(R) (Train no 2535 ) on 03/06/2010 ON THE INTERNET but the transaction failed due to system fault at the IRCTC website.       Be patient my friend. The refund for failed transactions gets credited back to you in 24-48 hours. That is because, IRCTC has to wait and see if your bank settles the amount. If bank settles the amount, they will refund it electronically. Go to your IRCTC account on the website and see under the "Failed Transactions" section.
      I have booked four sleeper class ticket from Trissur to Chennai dated on 7:12:10 but i found that, the transaction is failed due to some problems in irctc site.but there is Rs.1106 deducted from my Corporation bank account the complete details are mentioned bellow:

      In august10 my calcutta bound train was postponded from9pm to next day 4am.
      ie more than3hrs.
      it was internet booking, ac3 ticket.&was cancelled sameday10pm.
      As per rule full refund i should get but returned onlly half money.
      when complaint put up it was told as soon as irctc confirms, third party is ready to pay the rest of the fare money.
      4months have passed i was not returned the amount.why it should take so much time &why as per rule full money is not returned

      I tried to book a ticket from Pune to solapur and solapur to Pune on 10/4/2012. While booking ticket the display was showing some errors for two times.       I had booked the following ticket online via IRCTC - [protected], the payment gateway was stuck for more than 15 minutes and finally gave me transaction failed message.

      Hence, I booked the ticket again using booking ID - [protected], and this time the ticket was confirmed.

      After 20 minutes i got another message from IRCTC that my ticket using ID [protected] is also confirmed, which ended up me having to tkts for the same people.

      This happened only because of the system failure and I should be refunded for this as this not my fault, why should a consumer suffer if the the problem is with the system.

      I mailed IRCTC customer care but nobody is ready to respond back apart from teaching me the Tatkal Cancellation rule which we all know.

      I have attached the proof of messages that i got from AMEX and IRCTC. As you can clearly see there is a 20 minute gap between both the messages

        I Mr.Subhash Bhandari travelling by Ranakpur Express , Train No 14707/08 Coach no B1-05113, PNR no [protected] ,Ticket NO. 73419818 dtd on 16th May 2012 from Bombay to Bikaner .I am a frequent traveler between Bombay to Bikaner. Now a days, bugs, Rat, Cockroaches & Mosquito are seen in large numbers in COACH B1-05113, We travel with our families, its too risky to travel with small babes and infants & also with all these insects. There is also danger of our carrying & spreading them to our houses / offices. Kindly take immediate action to eradicate the same. If pest control arrangements are there kindly trigger them immediately.
        Also we travel from Bombay to Bikaner for 24 hrs. but in this Coach , there are no proper basic facilities like Pantry , Clean Washroom & more important is the Security guard . so its very difficult & risky to travel with ladies & children’s. But one good thing is Mr. Mukesh Kumar (A.C.C.A) is a helping hand for all the passengers.
        We complaint many times to proper persons but still no action is taken by Indian Railway.
        So now we want answer by revert mail.

          IRCTC SITE SINCE TODAY MORNING IS NOR WORKING WIHTOUT ANY ANNOUCEMENT IF SERVER IS REALLY DOWN I THINK IT IS A TRICK TO MAKE SERVER DOWN TO AVOID E TICKET BOOKING SO THAT BROKERS CAN GET BENEFITED.

          It is again worst experiene with IRCTC.Our honourable minister had ordered to block 1.4 agent users login.For few days we were able to book tikets in morning but now again same probm is happening in morning server not responding for common people.
          This is really very bad and irctc not following the rules set my government of india.I request some higher authority to see this issue
          Of late it has become difficult to log into the IRCTC site for ticket booking. It is fine at late hours or very early in the morning. Rest if the day it is very difficult to connect and if by God's Grace you are successful, your happiness is short lived. Made complaints no use.
          Dear Sir/ Madam,
          I am unable to open the IRCTC site for login from my lap top whereas all other sites are opening. Moreover, at the same time I am able to open the IRCTC site from other laptops or desktops sharing the same network/ ISP connection. Therefore, I think the problem is with my laptop or its security/ firewall setting or could be due to blockage of this particular site by some virus (?).

          Please advise me how to solve this problem.

            Hi,

            This is regarding the unusual response of the irctc.co.in web site of Indian Railways. Although this issue is already known to everyone, but no one is taking any action regarding to it.
            The tatkal facility on this website is very disappointing. One can't book a ticket Online for tatkal. This gives good inspiration to the railway ticket agents which are asking for high rates for each ticket. This will be a good example for Black money, i think.
            Some time back i tried to book a tatkal ticket from this site, it showed available tickets but the process could not be completed, and was ending every time with an error while opting for payments. I repeated the process around 5-6 times. While some other times the site doesnt open at all between 8AM to 9AM.
            The site being the only mode of booking Online railway tatkal Tickets, every common man is suffering from this issue.
            The problem is just to do an in-depth test of the site to improve its performance. I being a s/w engg assume that there not any too big problem with the site and it could be fixed easily, if irctc tries to work over it.
            Although the issue is not unknown to anyone but it needs to be worked over. Flight rates are rising high everyday. So railways is the only way to travel for a common man and the one can't afford such a high rate asked by the agents to provide the tickets.

            Please look into the issue asap and improve the performance of the site IRCTC.CO.IN

              IT never works for takal booking.... the site gets hang in from 8 AM..... no matter from where u login or how fast internet connection you use.

              This is pure because of agents... railways officials have sold it already..... *&@$*&@$*&@^*&@

              Even it says Service not avaualbe few times.....

              One of the news channel had bought this up... but now they are paid also... so no more action

                Today (07/06/2012) I have done an online transaction to purchase a e-ticket. Unfortunately after the payment was made through ANDHRA BANK, the error, "REDIRECT=https://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/bankrespon... came up without giving me the confirmation of the payment and neither the ticket is generated.

                This is really embarrassing situation and IRCTC is expected to help me at the earliest with the ticket if the payment is already confirmed at their end. If not refund the same amount.

                This is Soumitra Ghosh from New Delhi. On 12th March I've tried to book a E-Ticket 2 times for a journey. But after a long time the result is that IRCTC deducted Rs 8000 from my HDFC bank credit card with out booking any ticket. So am totaly hopeless. Please help me in this regards.

                Hello, today i was trying to book e-ticket in BIHAR S. KRANTI train number 2566 for[protected] in the name of Rajnish singh but Unfortunately after the payment was made through SBI payment gateway, the error, "https://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/bankresponse.do?com... came up without giving me information about the generation of the ticket. However the transaction of money is confirmed by the message on my mobile from bank.
                This is really embarrasing situation and IRCTC is expected to help me at the earliest with the ticket.
                Online ticket booking using irctc.co.in has become very difficult nowadays due the poor performance & maintenance of its website. It takes hell lot of time while processing.
                No page is getting continued on the first attempt and very often the session gets expired.
                Moreover at the opening of Tatkaal booking, I hardly succeeded. But booking agents are lucky enough with their private logins.

                IRCTC should look into this issue seriously to ease the booking for the public.

                I am posting this with mere frustration since for last few years I am struggling to book Tatkal tickets from online IRCTC.COM.Whenever in urgency I tried to book the Tatkal services it always shows an error for 2, 3 times while logging in and after that when I log in successfully and ready to buy the ticket it shows WL 20 or more.My question is if there is 72 sleeper seats available for Tatkal within 10 mins, how it comes to WL 20 if atall there is an entry of 6 persons per form the calculation is not satisfactory.I will suggest to close down the online tatkal facility which is really gone out of the hand of common people like us.

                I had done an online ticket booking today at 20:50 at the irctc website. I filled all the details of my journey and then i had to do payment using my SBI ATM cum debit card. I entered my pin and card no. and pressed pay button. After processing for a long time, the following message appeared:

                I want to know whether my ticket is booked or not. And if booked then what's my transaction no. and PNR no. .
                Please look into the matter at its earliest. Waiting for your positive response.

                      My SBI account no. is [protected]. On 28 May 2012 during one of the internet bookings on IRCTC site, i wanted from Bangalore to Hyderabad, the ticket was not confirmed and the transaction was invalid. however, Rs. 4620/- has been deducted from my bank account due to some problem. Irequest the said amount to be credited back to my abovee mentioned account immediately.

                        I have booked four tickets through IRCTC on 2.5.2011- Dehradun to Delhi. The amount of Rs. 1950 was debited from my saving bank account, Sansadiya Soudh, State Bank of India.                             The time I logged in on www.irctc.co.in , the status for the 2nd AC in TATKAL QUOTA was "WL/AVAILABLE". TIll the payment gateway page, it was sowing the same available status.

                            But, as my ticket got booked, it was showing WL 3 as the status.

                            I read the procedures and terms of cancellation on irctc website and found out that the same rules applied to the tatkal cancellation.

                            As I cancelled my ticket, most shocking moment as it was written that money refunded will be 0(zero)

                            I request the authorites to look into this matter and refund my money.

                                Dear Sir,

                                I have try to book a ticket from 7.50 am to 8.50 am on[protected]. But even for that single ticket I didn't got till now. It is while starting Available seats are 259 in pothigai express from chennai egmore to Srivilliputtur on[protected] at 8.01am status. And at 8.05 am Available seats become 34. And even I couldn't login their site. The error came after login (Reload page later error). That lazy server become tired till 8.45 am and till then I couldn't enter my site. After that status become at 8.50 as W/L 71. Right now the status at 8.55 am W/L 78. Just do justify for that consumer support. Don't argue for agent. Why because always people is suffering like that. I can't control my angry till now. Please help me regarding this. Any way to turn off the bulk agent booking in that site. Or anybody please block that site. We could even try to book on railway office directly.

                                What a fantastic Website Indian Railways has!!!

                                When is the Indian Railways going to rectify this problems faced by people of india.

                                Do Indians deserve such a website. When will the authorities take action.
