> All these tickets were under waitlist while the time of booking.
> Out of 6 tickets I have cancelled two tickets well ahead and two tickets got confirmed just before the travel and two were waitlisted.
> As I didnt get confirmed tickets for all 4, I booked tatkal where I got two tickets PNR# [protected].

So I have two confirmed and two waitlisted on the same ticket - PNR# [protected]. I couldnt cancel my waitlist tickets as chart was prepared and I thought ITCTC would refund my amount promplty but didnt happened so far . So I filed a TDR refund but It was rejected. Please look into it and do the needful.

    Save irctc by reshuffling senior staff like managing director, chairman etc. they are unable to solve ticketing crisis since 15th march 2011 to till date.yeh hindustan jaise desh ke liye sharm ki baat hai ki ek choti si problem ko yeh thik nahi kar pa rahe hai.STOP GIVING SALARIES TO THESE PEOPLE FOR HARASSMENT OF PUBLIC OR AGENTS AUTHORISED BY THEM ONLY BY GIVING IRCTC CERTIFICATE OR GRABING MONEY IN THE NAME OF AUTHORISING AGENTS.BLOCKING TERMINAL I.D WITHOUT ANY REASON .

      I was to board Vidarbha Express from platform number 3 and i had a confirmed reservation in S5 berth no 64.

      Having reached station i approached stall number 5 of platform number 3 for buying packaged drinking water and he person selling the same demanded rs 15 however on the bottle the printed rate was rs 12 having asked about him he said he will either sell it for 15 or i should approach some one else and train started.

      I am amazed with the arrogance of the person and i wonder if some action can be taken against him in some way as he was charging above MRP.

        On 29 October at 10.30am I was trying to book ticket from mumbai to pune. Due to some system error in the irctc server the transaction failed but amount was deducted from my SBI account.

        Refund status of failed transaction:
        Transaction ID: [protected] Settlement Requested Not Booked Rs 84 SBI Debit

        Under this it is mentioned not received from bank but fact is that amount is deducted from bank.

        The website is very slow and customer has to suffer.

        Please refund as soon as possible.
        Got refund after few weeks.

          My Pnr status is [protected] and transaction ID is [protected].
          I was booking a tatkal ticket for Thane to Mangaloe Netravati (3 AC) express on 27/10/2011 for my journey on 29/10/2011.Ur site showed availability of 6 tickets while i was booking the ticket.It was still showing availability of 6 when i proceeded to secure payment via atm card.Then after I while I got a message Congratulations your booking is successful but the status was W/L 3 when it clearly showed that there were six ticket available when I started my paymrent.This is really horrible i wouldn't have booked if it was showing waiting list during payment.
          Please look into the matter.I want to cancel the ticket but won't like to loose any money as it was not my fault.

          IRCTC — Account Disabling n Tatkal booking

          I have an IRCTC account which is locked second time.
          When i tried to reset the password through forget password link, it asks User id, question and Answer. I provided all the details and it throws an error "Answer is Incorrect". This happend second time and both the times i tried to login through the actual password.
          I sent an email at [protected]@irctc.co.in and got an automated email as Ticket Confirmation for the request.
          I waited for a week and there was no response from IRCTC customer care. I called them up on 24 Hrs. Customer Support at[protected] and it took about 12 calls to make them understand about the issue. When ever i called up the customer support the person attnding the call will redirect me to someone else after listening to my detail and again i need to explain whole story, inshort that was waste of time and money.
          IRCTC should hire service and satisfaction oriented support executives so that it a common man has no pain of wasting time and money.


          Another issue with IRCTC is its very difficult to book a TATKAL ticket from Source of Boarding to destination.
          According to the new rules of indian railway a person can book Tatkal ticket from the Actual Boarding station to the destination.
          For example i tried to book the ticket on 6614 Coimbtore Exp (Coimbtore to Rajkot) from salem to pune. Train starts on thursday at 23:45 from Coimbtore and reaches Salem on 2nd day i.e friday. according to the Tatkal booking one should book a ticket 2 days prior to the date of journey it means for this train ticket should be booked on tuesday. It was not allowing me to book a ticket from Salem to Pune because it reaches Salem on 2nd day and tatkal ticket can be booked only 2 day in advance.

          When called customer care an executive explained me that there are different different quota for each station and train reaches salem on 2nd day, so i must book a ticket on wednesday and not on tuesday. When i tried to make him understand about the rule of tatkal quota but he was not ready to listen.

          IRCTC - RAIL TICKET BOOKING — IRCTC SERVER DOWN DURING TATKAL BOOKING

          Last two days I found that IRCTC web site server down during TATKAL ticket booking. Server down during 08.00 am to 08.45 hrs and all TATKAL tickets sold out than server running normally.

          This is a doubtful process and media serch the truch !

          Error in online tatkal booking on irctc, co, in
          My Pnr status is [protected] .
          I was booking a tatkal ticket for Aligarh Jn to Lucknow (2nd AC) in Gomti express on 11/02/2012 for my journey on 12/02/2012.at 2.15 pm Ur site showed availability of 4 tickets while i was booking the ticket.It was still showing an error and when I checked the booking history it is not showing the booked ticket . Than again I was tried and booked the tatkal ticket i proceeded to secure payment via atm card.Then after I while I got a message Congratulations your booking is successful but after 4-5 hours i get a massage on my mobile to conform two times for same jeurny with pnr no [protected] .so i have paid two times for two diffrant ticket for single jurney
          Please look into the matter.I want to cancel the one ticket(pnr no [protected]) but won't like to loose any money as it was not my fault.

          i was booking 4 tatkal tickets on 16/03/2012 from new delhi to jammu in jhelum express dated 18/03/2012, while making payment an error occured. i haven't got ticket but ticket amount ( Rs1200 something) is deducted from my bank. kindly send my amount back to me.

          I was booking a tatkal ticket from Valliyur to Madras Egmore (3rd AC) in Ananthapuri Express on 11/02/2013 for my journey on 12/02/2013.at 12.45 pm. Ur site showed availability of 38 tickets while i was booking the ticket. After deduction of money from my SBI Account, after 10 minutes the system did not produce ticket but came out with Error 200. When I checked the booking history it did not show the booked ticket . Then again I tried and booked the tatkal ticket for the same journey and I made payment via Credit card. I have got the message through phone for PNR No. [protected] immediately. Now again when I went for the history for checking the PNR, aother ticket for the previous Bank Transaction with PNR [protected] has been booked for the same two persons for the same train for the same date. But for the PNR No. [protected] I have not yet received the SMS also so far. So I have paid two times for two different ticket for the same single journey
          Please look into the matter. I want to cancel the one ticket with PNR no [protected]. I dont want to lose money because of your slow and sluggish website. Kindly do the needful and arrange to refund the money please as it was not my fault.

            I tried to book tickets for 6 persons on 24.10.2011 through irctc for the journey from Mumbai(LTT) to Kozhikode(CLT) by Train no.12201 for journey on[protected] A class) , Train Name KCVL Garib Rath. On taking the "PAY" option,my computer got stuck and an error message was generated. The same thing happened when I tried to book once again . Even though no ticket was generated, my SBI accounted was Debited with Rs.4050.00 on both the occassions. The reason why I inform that no ticket was generated is because the status of the ticket availability did not change ( W/L 28). The same thing also ocurred when I tried to book on 25.10.2011 also. Thus a total amount of Rs.12,150.00 (4050x3) had been Debited from my SBI account No.[protected] and Debit card No.[protected]. Pl. look in the matter and refund the amount in my bank account at the earliest. ( my E-mail ID is [protected]@gmail.com . thanking you.

            I was booking (13 dec 10 am) 2 second seating tickets in Tatkal category for Train no.12052 Janshatabdi Express from Thivim to Thane. I selected payment option as internet banking of Bank of India and entered all details. payment of 531.24 got debited but tickets were not booked showing reason Payment rejected by bank.

            Please kindly urgently REFUND me this amount to my bank account as this was wrongly charged to me by IRCTC (ticket not booked but stil payment was debited from bank account)

              ne services agents ki withdraw karli mein kahna chahta hun ki agar railway mein accident hota hai to kya aap train ko hamesha ke liye bandh kar dete hai kya.road par accident hota hai to aap road ko hamesha ke liye band kar dete hai kya.services withdraw kar ke aap ne dalals ko (unauthorised agents) kyon fayada karwaya.balki employees ki mili bhagat se illegal kaam ko aur bada diya hai ruka toh kuch nahi balki aur bada diya hai aur public pehle se jaada paresan hai apko sarkari moti tankhwah problem ko solve karne ki di jaati hai na ki bada ne ki.degree dekh kar naukari di gayi hai app ko warna mujhe bethiye apni jagah par 15 days ke andar apki yeh samsya solve kar dunga aur koi services bhi withdraw nahi karni padegi jaise hum 10/- Rs mein employee ko tankhwah dete hai ,electricity ka bill dete hai,shop ka rent dete hai,computer /printer ka maintenance karte hai,etc.
              Sirf 15 din mein thik kar dunga aap ki saari web based samasya.pata nahi kaun si universities se aapne degree li hai wapas kar do degree kagaz ka tukda samasya solve nahi kar pyega dimaag lagaiye dimaag.warna mujhe de do apni jagah america bhi degree bat ta rahta hai lekin aap ab uski halat kya hai .

                1. I have registered with log in ID of sum59950 with e mail ruchika.[protected]@rediffmail.com, it asks for mob verification,however it neither accepts the same,nor sends me the pw/ allow me to operate /access the log in ID. The story is same for last one month.
                2. Pl resolve the same at the earliest.

                I have noticed one several occassions that the price charged by the vendors located at so many places in the country charge Rs.2 or 3 more than the stated MRP, especially on Drinking water and soft drinks. this is specially prevelant at railway stations and platforms - even at IRCTC regulated food stalls.
                yesterday, I was charged Rs. 15/- for a bottle of Aquafina at CST Local Station, Mumbai. There were posters stuck on the stall walls itself which stated the price to be Rs.12/-. these the vendor or stall owner had peeled off, but I happened to see one on the wall of the station. on asking, I was told that extra 3 rupees were being charged for cooling the bottle.
                I was really amazed when I started calculating the margin of cheating being done per bottle. Where does the extra money go?? Who gets it???? the vendor---, the contractor---, or some official in the Railway department - for conveniently overlooking all this???
                This mal-practice is prevalent all across the country. I've experienced this at Delhi Railway station also.
                Even lots of shop-keepers charge this extra amount claiming that they have to bear the electricity charges for cooling the soft drink or water.

                Please take notice of this and take appropriate action.

                  I do not find provision for change of pwd in IRCTC. Particularly in the Next Gene. e-Tktg to which I was transferred to. Please mate it visible so that every one can do the same as and when they need it to.

                  I have been facing a great trouble to change my password in the new systems.. In the old systems there used to
                  be one "user profile"

                    I have booked a ticket on 12.10.2011 from irctc.co.in bearing PNR no [protected], trans id [protected] for Kalinga Utkal exp (18478) from Kharagpur to Sambalpur, journey date 14.10.2011. The status was confirmed (seat no S9-43). The train was diverted and did not come to Kharagpur on 14.10.2011 (scheduled to arrive at 11.15 PM). Thus I did not travel in my booked ticket. I request the authority to refund my amount (Rs 171.00, SBI bank) through the refund process as in protocol.

                          I had booked a Ticket , PNR No. [protected] for Train No. 12916 Ashram Express. The date of journey was 15.03.2011. I could not travel on that train as the route was diverted due to the Jat Agitation going on that time and the train did not stop at my destination station Jaipur ( this can be verified from the Railway records) Though I have sent atleast 15 mails to TDR Process but only half of the money is refunded though as per rules the full amount should be refunded as it was not my fault that the train did not stop at Jaipur. Kindly arrange to refund back my entire amount i.e balance Rs 501)

                            Sub: Claiming refund of fare on account of travelled in lower class

                            I am following up with IRCTC for past three years - no action nor proper reply. My refund application got cancelled stating that "refund not valid in case of completion of journey till destination"

                            I have booked in 1st AC - at half way they have shifted to 3rd AC - when refused, TTR assured us the differnce of fare will be refunded and issued form of certificate A

                            The details are below

                              Today morning at 8 am I tried to reserve an e-ticket(Tatkal) from Chennai to Kollam Jn. twice. My account was debited(Rs. 415 + 415) both times, but ticket were not generated by the system due to some problem. Similarly at 9 pm also i tried to book a ticket from Kollam Jn. to Chennai, but my account was debited Rs. 335 and tickets were not issued, due to the above mentioned reason.

                              So I request you to credit the amount of Rs. 1165/- into my account No. [protected] maintained at State Bank of Travancore, T.Nagar Branch, Chennai, and also to give an explanation why the problem has occurred because i used to book tickets online frequently, and this is the first time i am facing a problem like this.

                                This complaint is regarding the e-Ticket issued to me for BSL to Pune dated 9th Oct 2011.

                                Below are the details of the journey.

                                Booking Date: 09 Sep 2011
                                Date of Journey & Departure Time : 9th oct 2011, 17.55 PM
                                Booking Status : Confirm/S2/0070/UB
                                Confirm/S2/0069/MB

                                The Ticket issued to me was for Train No : 15018 ( GKP LTT EXP) and Unfortunately, I have to board the Train 11040 (Maharashtra Exp).

                                After half-an-hour confusion over the boarding the train, TTE on the Bhusawal station told us to board the train 11040 and sit on the same seat No printed on your ticket. He also told us that there is Gorakhpur Quota in 11040 (Maharashtra Exp) for S2 Coach.

                                But there is not any single word or instruction stating that we have to board 11040 train though the ticket has been printed with the boarding Train No as 15018.

                                Any educated person like me will miss the train if didnt enquire about the 15018 train cautiously.

                                I request Railway authority / IRCTC or The Concern authority to take the responsibility of this matter and Please provide enough instruction to board the train. The ambiguity between Gorakhpur Quota present in 11040 (Maharashtra Exp) wont able to come to any one's mind unless and untill he also becomes the victim of such mis-management in the Ticketing system.

                                This complaint has been put up so that the other people wont become victim of such ambiguious Ticket.

                                  i have faced very pathetic situation on my jounery date(08/10/2011), I have booked the ticket Mancherail to Chennai central for the train JAIPUR-MADRAS exp.
                                  Train scheduled to dep at 07:30 pm from mnacherail(2 mins stop time).My bogie is s12/16/su.Train stopped and i stand infornt of the s12 coach, i started hitting the door to open , the pepole inside thge caoch are laugin and dancing and the shouting the there is no place in this coach go to other coach and i have conformed ticket with me ,but they are not opnening the door.(total people who stayed in that coach were same family (Marwadi).
                                  I am in big confusion , then i started running with my laugage towards s11.There also same situation.Train started , i was running with train , finally one south indain guy helped me to get in.

                                  Then i back to s12 for my seat , somebody occupied the my birth alredy and i did not get any response form thet lady and she is shouting in hindi states thet sghe dont want to leave the birth.

                                  Then i dropped my whole laguage there itsel and i ran for TT and RPF Cops.
                                  Finally TT came and asked that lady to vacate.After that i didnot allow to me keep my laguage under the seats and for cheppals also.I was doing my train from last 10 years, i never faced the situation like this..

                                  Horrible journey, Large families are good only , but while travelling on public trasport they should know commaon ethics to behave.I deiced that i never travel in Jaipur express IN FUTURE.

                                    on 6th of this month when i was booking a tatkal ticket for eastcoast(date of journey 8th night) from visakhapatnam to kharagpur
                                    there was a problem in internet server at the last moments of transaction
                                    i gave all my bank details(andhra bank debit card) and at last there was a msg displayed that connection failed
                                    but 373 rupees where debited without a ticket and also without email
                                    i got a msg from bank that money was debited

                                      ne services agents ki withdraw karli mein kahna chahta hun ki agar railway mein accident hota hai to kya aap train ko hamesha ke liye bandh kar dete hai kya.road par accident hota hai to aap road ko hamesha ke liye band kar dete hai kya.services withdraw kar ke aap ne dalals ko (unauthorised agents) kyon fayada karwaya.balki employees ki mili bhagat se illegal kaam ko aur bada diya hai ruka toh kuch nahi balki aur bada diya hai aur public pehle se jaada paresan hai apko sarkari moti tankhwah problem ko solve karne ki di jaati hai na ki bada ne ki.degree dekh kar naukari di gayi hai app ko warna mujhe bethiye apni jagah par 15 days ke andar apki yeh samsya solve kar dunga aur koi services bhi withdraw nahi karni padegi jaise hum 10/- Rs mein employee ko tankhwah dete hai ,electricity ka bill dete hai,shop ka rent dete hai,computer /printer ka maintenance karte hai,etc.
                                      Sirf 15 din mein thik kar dunga aap ki saari web based samasya.pata nahi kaun si universities se aapne degree li hai wapas kar do degree kagaz ka tukda samasya solve nahi kar pyega dimaag lagaiye dimaag.warna mujhe de do apni jagah america bhi degree bat ta rahta hai lekin aap ab uski halat kya hai .

                                      agar agents ki booking band kani thi to, agent banane ke paise kyu liye, aur kutch galat logo keliye sab ko dand dena galat baat hai, ek neta curropt hai to baki sab mil kar uska bachav karte hain aur ek agent galat hai to sub ko byecoat ye kider ka nya hai, kai staaf abhi gadbad kare pakegae gai hai to windows booking kyu band nahi ki?

                                      mai to kahunga railway to sabse badi chor hai kyunki agar agent online ticket nikal leta hai to staff ki officer ki milibhagat nahi chalti na isliye agen se online bookin band kar di,
