    Dear Sir,

    I booked my ticket from Bhubaneswar(BBS) to Mumbai on 8 January 2012 in 2 tier AC two months prior to the journey. I was alloted seat no. 17 in A1. On the journey date, only 1 hour before the departure I received a message on my mobile that my seat number has changed to A1 -57. However only after the arrival of the train in BBS I found that there was no ac 2 compartment in the train and coach A1 was changed to ac 3 tier. The ticket checker has no explanation for the same and he ensured that proper refund will be provided before the end of the journey, which I have not received yet. The details of my journey are as follows

    First of the all it was irresponsible on the part to railways not to give any prior information on the matter. Also the attached compartment A1 was dirty and old compared to the other ac 3 compartments in the train. Kindly look into the matter and ensure that proper explanation and refund is provided

      Dear Sir/Ma'am,

      With Reference to the following details, I'd filed a TDR as the train was diverted and was not coming to the boarding station ie Secunderabad, due to the Telangana Issue & Rail Roko Agitation. The reason stated on irctc for non refund is that the reservation is from tatkal quota. Whether the ticket be through Tatkal or General Quota but how could I board the train when its not coming to the boarding station. I had an urgent interview scheduled on that day and was suppose to leave. Therefore, I got the reservation through tatkal quota. Is there any fault of passengers that the train didn't reach the boarding station.
      I have mailed twice at [protected]@irctc.co.in and have also been trying the phone number but no reply.

      It will be very grateful of you to please look into the matter and consider the request as its a genuine case of not boarding due to train diversion because of Telangana Issue and Rail Roko Agitation.

        Dear Sir/ Madam,

        I had cancelled train ticket of PNR No: [protected] on 28 Oct. 2011. As my salary account in CITI Bank was closed by which i booked this ticket, i informed IRCTC by mail to [protected]@irctc.co.in, [protected]@irctc.co.in about this on same date of cancellation. I also mentioned the new account details in which money should be refunded. I got complaint refrence number from IRCTC 2000714. Again i called customer care and got another refrence number: 90207. After all this also after nearby 2 months i didn't get money refund.

        I request you to look into this matter and take appropriate action.

          I was booking for Tatkal E-ticket from MAS to SBC on 27-dec-2011 for journey date 28-dec-2011, but after i made my payment of Rs 268 on my debit card IRCTC site didnt open and message came that error occured.

          I check for the refund status for failed transaction which shows that i made no payment.

          amount: Rs 258 + extra(10) for sbi card bank charges.
          sbi bank detials for above transaction is "POS[protected] IRCTC "

          When I was booking my tatkal ticket from irctc eticket booking account for mas to ndls date[protected], my balance has been deducted from my sbi account but I was unable to recive my ticket from irctc transaction history on irctc website.So I kindly request to irctc eticket management to refund my balance in to my account my account no is :[protected]

            I have booked a ticket from jaipur to Jodhpur on 26th Dec 2011 for the travelling date 27th dec 2011. But after making the payment, instead of showing window for printing ticket following error came. My amount was also deducted. I want IRCTC to take necessary actions as soon as possible

              I was a passenger in AC 3TIER with my family in navjeevan express from AHMEDABAD TO CHENNAI ON 22/12/2011(PNR NO[protected],BERTH NO-58,59,61,62,TRAIN NO-12655).On 23/12/2011,I ordered for two vegitarian meal.The supplier was Mr. VIJAY TIWARI AND CATERING SERVICE WAS ARENCO CATERING CHENNAI.After serving food he collected Rs100/-)from me for two vegetarian meal.(a vegeterian meal comprise normal dal,3normal parottai,rice, one pappad,one cup curd and subji).I enquired about him why he took Rs 50/- for single meal.he then gave Rs 20/- back to me from Rs100/- and told that normal meal cost Rs32/-.pappad is additonal and one parotta is also additional for the single meal.however i didnot direct him to bring any additional item to me. on my request he provide a bill to me(bill no9403) showing veg meal -64,2pappad-06 ,2 parotta Rs 10, total-80/-.he didnot provide 200ml water with the meal and he has no answer at all.Then i requested him to provide menu card and he promised me to provide it in gudur station but later not obliged
              sir this is type of loot in open is very shameful to railway and I expect railway will look in to this matter very seriously and take necessary step to deregister the licence of the firm and the person MR VIJAY TIWARY MAY GET SUITABLE PUNISHMENT

                Sir,
                This is regarding overcharging of tea at tea stall in chengannur railway station. The tea stall at platform n:2 running by IRCTC is taking Rs 6/- for a tea instead of a standard rate of Rs 5/-. the importance of this 1/- is that, this railway station is the centre point of pilgrimers to sabarimala and ten thousands of people are coming in one day. the price list is covered with paper and when questioned he has given me tea for Rs 5/-. Pl. do the needful to take an action aganist this culprit...

                    At 1pm i was trying to book ticket from mumbai to pune for 20th december. The site as usual was working very slow taking several minutes to load each page. But I have booked tickets with IRCTC earlier too and this is a regular issue.

                    Anyway I entered my sbi debit card details and submitted. It showed processing page mentioning not to reload.

                    After some time there was a page showing "REDIRECT=https://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/bankrespon... " link was "https://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/fssResponse.jsp&quo...

                    It is now showing under FAILED PAYMENT REFUND STATUS

                    Transaction ID 1 [protected] Settlement Requested Not Booked

                    I faced a similar problem few months back.

                    IRCTC should improve their server and website.
                    I agree..The same has happened with me at 3.48 pm on 3/2/2012
                    i have booked now 4 (four) AC 3 tier 17/05/2012 at 5:00pm the money has been debited in IRCTC's account but i haven't received the ticket. the message showed on screen is like this www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/fssResponse.jsp

                      IN BETWEEN AGRA TO GWALIOR ONE PANTRY-MAN CAME IN COMPARTMENT IN MAGALA LAKSHDWEEP (DELHI TO KERALA) AND TOOK ORDER FOR LUNCH. AFTER SOME TIME HE BROUGHT FOOD AND SERVED. I ALSO TOOK, HE ASKED FOR 50 RUPEES FOR VEG LUNCH. I GAVE 500 RUPEES, HE RETURNED ME 350 AND TOLD THAT REMAINING HE WILL RETURN EARLIEST AS HE IS ALSO GOING TO KERALA. BUT WHEN I TOOK THE FOOD, FOOD WAS NONVEG SO DOUBT CAME IN MIND THAT PERSON MAY ALSO BE FAKE AND I IMMEDIATELY WENT TO PANTRY CAR AND SEARCHED THE MAN. THE MAN WAS NOT THERE AND ALSO THE IDENTIFIED PERSON FOR A2 COACH FOOD BOOKING DID NOT BOOK FOOD ALSO. THEN I CAME TO KNOW THAT WRONG PERSON HAS ENTERED INTO THE COACH AND CHEATED WHOLE COACH AND BROUGHT MY 100 RUPEES. THESE TYPE THINGS CAN ONLY BE ARE HAPPENED BY INVOLVEMENT OF THE RAILWAY AUTHORITIES. BECAUSE IT IS THE PERSON'S DUTY TO BOOK ALL PERSONS'S LUNCH/DINNER AND WHY HE HAS NOT DONE HIS DUTIES AND PROTECTING HIM VERY BRAVELY THAT HE HAS NOT BOOKED THE LUNCH MEANS WHAT THIS TYPE OF THING ARE CONDUCTED HIM KNOWLEDGE.

                      I think that IRCTC services should be banned in India. It provides world class ghatia service. There is nothing worst than taking online ticket through IRCTC online site. Sometime it doesn't allow to user log in, sometime it deducts amount from bank but ticket doesn't issued to user. We feel that still we are in 16th century. IRCTC claims that it has supercomputers as as server. But i don't think that they have any supercomputer as a server because of its services. Either IRCTC should be banned or should be provided better services to customer. If you have taken tatkal ticket through IRCTC it means you won the War from Pakistan or China.

                      As i feel IRCTC should improve services.

                        I booked my Rail Travel on IRCTC WEB regularly. I booked under Tatkal Scheme for travel from Mumbai Central to Delhi by Rajdhani ETD 4.40 pm. my tkt was under wait list no.8. I was to travel on 29th Nov.2011. At 3.40 pm I checked the WEB and I was informed that I am still under W/L 8. Hence I was sure of not getting into the train as W/L passengers are not allowed. I was compelled to book my air tkt for 30th Nov. by paying exhorbitant rate. I booked my travel for 6.00 am on Kingfisher by paying Rs. 4140/=. Now Railway Dept. is refusing to give me refund of my train fare Rs.2275/= saying that tkt was confirmed at laast moment and no refund on Tatkal tkt is permissible. I was never informed by SMS that tkt is confirmed and I looked at the site at 3.40pm wherein the W/L was same and hence I had no option but to book Ait tkt as my reaching Delhi on 30th Nov. was very important.
                        On 14th Dec. IRCTC confirmed to me that my refund is under process and in 90 days I ill get credit of amount paid by me. But now they have refused to entertain my refund claim under one or the other pretext. I am unable to understand them and hence I need your Help in settling this matter amicabaly.

                            "Kindly note that your refund case of PNR No.[protected] has been forwarded to CCM/ECO Railway on 04-Jul-2011 .We have already issued Reminders on 15-Sep-2011 to concerned railway to chase up the case.But despite reminders refund is yet to be received from the concerned railway.Now we have sent another reminder on 11-October-2011 with all the papers pertaining to your refund case to concerned railway to chase up the cases. As soon as refund, if any, received it will be credited to your card account."

                            Please do necessary action, for the quick process of the case.

                              IRCTC — Less Refund

                              Hi,

                              I have booked a ticket from Bangalore to Chennai for travel on 12-Sep-08 in Chennai Mail, but the train was late more than 10 hrs and the railway department told us to cancel the ticket and we will get the full refund.

                              So I filed a TDR for the same. The refund status has updated on 28-Dec-08, in that I can see only 50% of the ticket is mentioned, please let me know what is the reason for this. I have to get 100% refund for this ticket.

                              I am Rakesh Kumar Srivastava. I am an agent with Done Card Utility Limited. I have booked a ticket of PNR No.([protected]) on 20th of July at 21:28 P.M. The Customer told me to cancel the tkt today. I purchased the tatkal tkt of Rs.647/-for journey from N.Delhi to Guwahati.exluding 10/- irctc booking charge online. After cancellation before two days of journey got refund on my account 124/- only. Pls do something as per your rule. Thank you.

                              I fully agree. I have also filed TDR on 27.04.2010 for PNR no [protected] & [protected] as train was more than 3 hrs late, but only 50% refund was received, which should have been 100%. SK Agarwal

                              I have cancelled irctc e ticket on date 22.12.11 and now it has been more than 4 days but i have not received my refund amount in my bank a/c through which i have purchased my ticket. when i looked at the cancellation status of this particular ticket in mine irctc id it is not mentioning specific refund date on it.please look at the matter and do the necessary procedure for refund of the amt as quickly as possible.

                                eticket TDR Filed, No Refund
                                E-ticket booked through IRCTC on 07/11/2011 with PNR number : [protected] , for journey date :09/11/2011 from BDTS TO SIBO. The reasons for filing the TDR were : 1) The ticket is under wait list wait list only one ticket is conformed and all other three ticket is in wait list
                                2) So only one pasanger is travalled other three not travelled .
                                The TDR was filed on 15/11/2011 as per the rules but I have not received any refund against the filed TDR.
                                they reply that
                                "Sorry for the inconvenience. Kindly note your PNR No. [protected] has been Regreted by Railways saying that "TDR not filed within time limit of the actual departure of the train."

                                    I had booked ticket by Punjab Mail Express for travel on 13th August 2011 by 3 AC class for travel from New Delhi to Khandwa. PNR no was [protected] and this was booked through my IRCTC account.

                                    I had some urgent work and hence I had filled TDR on 12th August 2011.

                                    After 3 month and several communications with IRCTC I got a mail that my TDR is rejected by Railway saying that "As per chart Passenger has travelled. The case is repudiated File No 641/Y/36454/11/12/E3

                                    I had shocked with reply as I had not travelled. Either the ticket checker by mistake made an entry that I travelled or he sold the seat unofficially.
                                    I have no proof that I have not travelled as my office was closed on that day (Saturday) where the attendance electronically registered with CCTV camera.

                                    I know my money will not be refund by Railway as i have no proof but this situation shows that what will happen with a common man who have no evidence and if the ticket checker writes he has travelled when the passenger has not travelled.

                                    This system should be modified by railway as dishonest persons are using it as income tools from common man.
