I am having icici bank fast tag and customer id is 10003471. I am from anand and while i go to vadodara or ahmedabad evry time at anand toll plaza fasttag is not working its shows invalid tag while in my tag account t having balance also. Same thing accrued in nadiyad toll plaza also. I had complined before but there is no any solution about this so solve this as soon as possible other wise give me higher authority contact detail for this problem.

    On 07/08/2016 while crossing borle toll naka, one of irb staff mr. Himat pratap mane was behaving unprofessional and use abusing language for ex service man (Video recorded and kept as record and shown to toll incharge) which deeply hurt my self respect and his thought about a uniform personal, the same is been notified to his senior mr. Prem mane on duty.

    I request to mr. V bansode (Head of toll operation) and concern authority of irb to investigate the matter and take appropriate against individual and make sure the correct code of conduct with commuters.

    Dear Capt. Pathak Sir,

    We have for reference your email dtd: 07.08.16, posted on ‘Indian Consumer Complaints Forum’ regarding misbehavior by Toll Staff at Shedung Toll Plaza on Mumbai Pune Expressway & we wish to state as under:



    First & foremost our sincere apology on misbehavior by our staff Mr.Mane with you.



    We have enquired the matter with Toll Management and also viewed the CCTV Footages. It is observed that you had shown your ID Card (Ex-Servicemen) for exemption in payment of toll charges while going towards Khopoli and you were given exemption by the Toll Staff. While returning back you did not show / displayed your ID Card for verification hence on duty staff Mr.Mane requested for the same, which resulted into some exchange of words between yourself & Mr.Mane. Later you were exempted on interference of our Sr.Staff. This situation could have been avoided if you had shown your ID Card.



    You then went to Police Station and again came to Toll Plaza along with Police Constable; demanding apologies from the concerned staff; he (Mr.Mane) have apologized to you. You then left the plaza duly satisfied.

      Irb completed the repairs of the road on saket bridge in thane, maharashtra much within the stipulated time. My sincere thanks for the efficient work. However i would like to bring to your notice that after the repairs of both the lanes on saket bridge the mandatory white reflectory ribbon has not been laid along the footpath and the divider on both sides of the lanes of the said bridge. This makes it extremely difficult to drive near the edges of the lanes in the night as the glaring lights of the incoming vehicles on either lane makes it impossible to visualize the road, footpath or divider. It can result in a serious accident. I request you to kindly look in the matter and do the needful at the earliest.

        I am a daily to and fro traveller by road.

        Recently opened the new flyover at bot village in western express highway has a terrific bumps on the road. Specifically both the ends of the flyover and also in the center, which is very dangerous for the senior citizens, childrens, small babies, pregnant women, patients in the car and the ambulance carrying the critical patients.

        Today my head got banged at the roof top while sitting at the back of my car.

        Request the irb authorities to take a inspection of the flyover immediately and arrange for proper leveling of the road.

        Hope the work will be attended asap.

          We were travelling from vasad to vadodara. Just after coming out of the bridge only at a distance of 500 mtr they have build a toll booth in january. They asked for toll tax of rs. 100 only for travelling 500 mtr on the road. When we asked for rule book and other details their project manager mr. Bhanushali came and spoke very rudely to us. They have abused us and forced us to pay rs. 100. It is unfair to charge 100 rs. For travelling 500 mtr on the road. The toll booth must be moved from there and strict actions should be taken against mr. Bhanushali and their staff

Your toll person & surrounding 4/5 persons foecefully collect rs. 101/-instead of regular toll of rs. 61/- when i demaned for circular of toll change they force me to remove vehicle. Transaction no.             Our reply is as under : Dear Mr.Dabke, We have for reference your email dtd: 20.03.16, received through ‘Indian Consumer Complaints Forum’ regarding collection of excessive toll fees at Dehu Road Toll Plaza, on Mumbai Pune NH-4, Highway & wish to clarify as under: We have Enquired the matter with Dehu Road Toll Management and have also viewed the CCTV Footage & it is observed that your car MH 12 BV 3162, came in lane # W01, requested for toll ticket of Khopoli, there was a vehicle carrying emergency patient (from nearby area) to the hospital, behind your car in the same lane, due to which there was confusion regarding destination / route of your journey. Please be informed that there are two ways to reach Khopoli : a) Dehu Road to Khopoli via NH-4, toll fees is Rs.61/- for single journey, for car category. b) Dehu Road to Khopoli via Expressway, Khalapur Connector, toll fees is Rs.101/- for single journey, for car category. Toll Management has also reported that, later on, while returning back you met with our Shift In charge and you have explained him about your journey (via NH-4) who verified the same and Rs.40/- (Rs.101-Rs.61) was refunded to you. CCTV Footage did not show any incident of argument / misbehavior by our staff with you. For your information, we have deployed qualified and efficient staff who had trained for the job and customer behavior etc. Please confirm whether you have received refund of Rs.40/- .               I live at Mira Road East which is just 3 kms away from Dahisar Toll Naka but till i have to pay toll of Rs.35 everyday for one time trip. My complaint is that as per regulation if person living within 5 kms of toll plaza he is not suppose to pay Toll fee, then why i am force to pay toll at Dahisar Toll Naka.

                Dear Mr.Ashok, We have carefully noted your grievances conveyed vide your email dtd : 20th & 21st of January 2016 and wish to clarify as under : Please be informed that as per Govt. Notification No.S.O.2921 (E) there are no exemptions to any individual vehicles, except that are mentioned in the exempted category, but at the same time, as per aforesaid Govt Notification there is provision of issuing ‘Local Discounted Monthly Passes’ for the local residents, that are residing within the radius of 20 Kms; provided they furnish proper & valid documents, needed for such transaction, including proof of residence etc. Post such submissions, Toll Plaza Admin Office / Toll Plaza Manager then scrutinizes the documents . Local passes are issued, once documents furnished, are found to be acceptable. Your request was rejected since your place of residence did not meet the above-mentioned criteria. Hence we express our in ability to provide the above-mentioned facilities to you. Apart from this, following facilities are also available at Vasad Toll Plaza and you can avail the same : · Monthly trip base card which is available for minimum 50 single journey trips in which user has to pay only 2/3 amount of the Fee. Return ticket valid for 24 hours from the time of payment in which user has to pay only one and half times of the Fee. Hope this will suffices your queries. Assuring you of our best services at all the times.                   There is only 2 road connection between Vadodara to Ahmedabad NH8 and Expressway-1. Construction of NH8 was completed in the last month and IRB (development agency) had started collecting toll which is quite high (almost double times) with respect to Expressway-1. NH8 is the main connection between many villages and towns and there is no support of local government in acting as mediator and solving issues with central government, so we as an individual has to step-in. We request central government to minimize or regularize the toll collection at NH8, in order to equalize the traffic at each highway. Neglecting the same, shall implicate huge loss of trust in NHAI authorities and administrations. Please evaluate each toll between NH8 and Expressway-1 asap. Also, additional to this I just want to know the policy of toll collection on the expressway-1 as we are the frequent traveler on Expressway-1 since last 5 year and we found that every 2 year collection agencies got changed and they start collecting toll with increment of 10 to 20% with some minor maintenance of the road.

                  Dear Harit,

                  I am too a commuter between vadodara and ahmedabad as i belong to both the cities. All this years it was peace and comfort driving between both the cities from NE-1. But development of 6 lanes at NH-8 between the cities has worsen the situation than any benefits. Hell lot of traffic both at the collection tolls at NE-1 and while passing through. Also due to toll difference higher for heavy vehicles thay chose NE-1 than NH-8. People are over taking from wrong sides due to blocking of roads by heavy vehicles.

                  Before declaring toll rates the authority should be logical enough to consider a parallel road tolls thats NE-1. I am sure NH-8 6 lanes must have not benefited since the time of launch in terms of toll collection due to this heavy difference.

                  I am writing in support for you but also expect a respond and solution .
                  Right but can you suggest why that in spite of more toll compare to expressway people are using NH-8

                    Dear Sir/Madam, As i was journy yesterday from Anand to Baroda in N.H.8 .In the same your toll tax is Rs.100/- from only 40 KM distence and the same distence Express way toll plaza is collect Rs.50 Only, So how to sacrifice this difference of toll tax. This is not acceptable for Public.As a indian i am not satisfide to this. This is like your profit to be collected from public pocket. Request you to please revise the toll tax from location to location like Baroda-Anand, Anand-Nadiad-Ahemdabad. I wise you to safisfactory reply from you side.

                    Varsad toll is very bad for all... please close it or reduce the amount or clear the route for people where they have to go and that priority tall is taken..
                    Till date the same charge has to be paid whether you go from vadodara to ahmedabad or till anand we have to pay the same amount. This has to be as per the distance travel
                    I have travel Baroda to Anand, toll tax was rs, 120 for each trip total cost rs, 240 from fast tag syatem
                    As manual toll tax system, my car parcing is chhani so it was Rs.60 each trip.

                    please upgrade fast tag system.

                      Dear Sir, This is to bring in your notice that on 23-December-15, 10:39 pm, at IRB Kharegaon toll Plaza (Govt. Notification No S.O.15 (E) Dtd. 04-Jan, 2002) at Thane Bhiwandi By pass, I was travelling with my brother were abused by the goons of toll naka when I asked them why they are allowing other vehicle to pass without paying the toll, They forcefully opened the door and started hitting and abusing me, Even though I have paid the Toll (Please find the receipt in attachment), I told them that I will complaint about your bad work and mis-behavior. They told nothing will happen to them. These news come and go. With this incident I am feeling harassed and mentally tortured and seeking your help to punish these toll plaza staff. Do they really have this much of power legally? I am very disappointed with the kind of staff they have employed Several times I have observed these people making indecent behavior. Not only this even though you have given toll they will put a sudden bar in front of your car creating panic and asking to check for receipt. Kindly take action against them. Thanks

                        The Toll Tax being collected on recently developed 6 lane National Highway 8 from Ahmedabad to Vadodara is Rs 170 in total. There are two toll booths: one before Nadiad which for four wheel vehicles charge 70 Rs (this is for Ahmedabad to Nadiad) and another is before Vadodara which charges 100 Rs. And the same 6 lane highway continues till Surat with just 2 toll booths which collects 65 Rs. and 80 Rs. In my opinion, this is quite unfair collection and it will bag huge profits for IRB.

                          We congratulate IRB to start a new toll plaza at Khaniwade on WEH on 1st April 2015. Today our first experience at this newly opened naka was as disastrous as expected due to huge traffic snarl. We had brought to your notice earlier, that 5 speed breakers are unwarranted and only cause inconvenience to the travellers. No one can ever ignore such a huge structure and try to pass the toll at a high speed. Also for safety one can install one set of rumblers in advance of the toll, the speed breakers installed make movement of large trucks difficult. We feel these speed breakers should be removed forthwith. Await your action.

                          It is informed that toll plaza is a very critical location where, lots of people are working day and night for regulating traffic, toll collection etc. Beside this commuters also move around to use facilities like drinking water and use of washrooms etc. For the safety of commuters and working staff, it is essential that speed of traffic shall be controlled / slow at and around toll plaza and vehicle shall come to zero speed at toll collection window for payment of toll. We have installed slow speed Weigh In Motion equipment, for the purpose of measurements of weight. For functioning of this system vehicle should pass with slow speed on this. Generally on highway, traffic moves at very high speed at times much more than design speed and if speed is not slowed down at and around toll plaza, there are chances of serious accidents. For the safety of commuters and staff working at toll plaza , we have put speed breakers to facilitate vehicle to slow down gradually without much discomfort and in the overall interest of everybody.

                            We appreciate the govt decision to construct new over bridges at nalasopara and shirsad phata. For the purpose the main road is blocked and a narrow service road is provided causing heavy traffic jam on both the sides. Over and above number of speed breakers r facilitating more and more traffic jam. its a responsibility of the contractor to ensure smooth hasel free traffic and hence must provide good service road and should remove speed breakers forthwith. hope ur new toll naka with new technology will give relief tto toll payers Without wasting their valuable time in a queue. Here again Irb hv put 5 speed breakers which will definitely create a traffic jam. So ur purpose of advanced technology toll naka is totally defeated. The big structures itself spears abt a toll naka and hence no speed breakers r requires. Request to remove them immediately. We will be happy to enjoy hurdle free ride.

                            Dear Sir/Madam,

                            With reference to above email, we would like to inform you that the traffic has been diverted over service road for taking up the construction o[censored]nderpass at Srishat Phata & Pelhar. The diversion & adequate safety measures have been provided as reviewed by the Independent Consultant appointed by the National Highways Authority of India. The speed breakers are provided in diversion road as the instructions of local traffic Police keeping the safety point of view and control the traffic at junction.


                            The speed breakers at new Toll Plaza locations are also as per good industry practice to slow down the vehicles at toll plaza keeping the safety in view of the workers as well as commuters to approach in toll lanes.

                            We assure you best of our services.

                                The Toll charges charged are calculated for the entire stretch of road. What is the Government policy for local residents (that use a few 2-3 kms) of the road? The person manning the IRB toll booth at Somatne Phata - says there is none. Any concession given / to be given is entirely at the discretion of IRB. Is this the case?
                                For residents coming from PCMC and going towards the Pune Mumbai Expressway - IRB is charging the full toll at NH4 toll booth at Somatne (till Lonavala). They also charge the full toll (including the Pune Lonavala section) on the Expressway even though they have collected the Pune-Lonavala toll for NH4.
                                This is complete cheating of public.

                                long , 3 - Signal Flyover near Dahisar/Kashmira Naka which has definitely reduced
                                the travelling time by Road.

                                However after the Flyover construction , No cleanup of the dug structures has been done.
                                Road construction material , iron/steel , cement , blocks have been still lying under the flyover
                                which increases the DUST and leads to AIR POLLUTION.

                                Hence Request to do the cleanup and do PLANTATION of SMALL TREES under/aside the Flyover which
                                will add to increase the GREEN COVER in the city and will make the TRAVEL peaceful.

                                  When i went to Irb toll office at mulund (west) check naka to get monthly pass,a staff member seating over there told me that time is over. I pointed out at watch in his office that still some time is left he started shouting at me and behave very rudly.I have also made complain at his office complain book.

                                    I myself have also met with retinal detachment surgory which came to notice after this telecast and now i have lost sight in my one eye to as low as 3/20 only... Please help me and guide me to fight against this company... I have filed police complaint and police have now taken FIR and action against culprits... I 'm just 26 years old and computer engineer for whom eye is very important as per my career i need compensation from this company since my whole life they hae made me physically handicapped... Deeply awaiting your reply and all the help you can give us...

                                      iam a citizen of kolhapur age 20 yrs i hav registered this complaint for the fact of various reasons .
                                      i travel freqently on the banglore to mumbai highway the tolls their are taken by private individuals who are local mafia and the people collecting toll are local gangsters on asking something for example return ticket they dont give they dont even know how to talk wih custoers they use abusive language and threten to kill ..at night they become more powerful as they are in gull force on asking their identity cards or superviser they show fake individual .they also drank during their duty hours and sometimes they dont give receipts to the cars who are in hurry .sir this is disgusting if iam paying and getting this kind of treatment than wats the use their are always traffic jams on the toll both .the toll boths between kolhapur and satara are the most dangerous tolls as they have also physically hitten people whom i know and i can produce sir the code of conduct should be their and identity cards shall be their the unknown people hit people or else we shall learn from them and do the same ....our system is corrupted so these people are active p[lease this is a serious mater look into it and yes i[censored] dont look than one day will come when we the customer have to plant a bomb and blow these tolls. police are actively suporting their practices.

                                        It is very disappointing to note below points about the flyover construction going on near Kashimira (Mira Road):

                                        1. Why the work is not being done in patches. They have dig the entire area and is now causing huge traffic congestion in the evening. We are wasting our precious time and money besides being getting highlhy frustrated.
                                        2. They are not taking care of the digouts. It is being dumped there and there itself again causing pollution and heavy traffic
                                        3. It is really unclear who is the monitoring authority. Why there is no periodic assessment of work being done? Who is responsible for this?
                                        4. What is the timeline of completion? Why there is no display?
