I,Sriniwas Sadani travelling from Bangkok Suvarnabh to Kolkata on 10th August by flight no.9W 0065 Class-G ,Gate-F1,Seat No.27E with my wife Anuradha Sadani Seat No.27D have lost 1200 USD from our checked-in luggage which was locked with the numbering system. The lock has been tampered in such a way that now the suitcase opens with any number combination.Another co-passenger named Pralay Sircar has lost 10000 INR from his checked-in luggage.Another person Anu Agarwal has lost her shawl from the checked in Luggage. We were all travelling in a group for Samsung.

I had distinctly kept 12 notes of 100 USD in the plastic envelope provided by the money exchanger in between my clothes in the suitcase .On reaching home I found the same envelope in the same place but it was empty and rest of the clothes intact.
The notes have been taken out after I checked in my luggage at arond 5.30 pm at the Bangkok Airport and the departure of my flight was at 20.20.(Bangkok Time). The persons who scan the luggage are surely involved.

I request the authorities to help me trace and get back my hard earned money and please ensure that this does not happen to others.
Regards
Sriniwas Sadani

I reached the airport 50 minutes to flight time of 6.55 AM. I was at the counter at 6.09 AM. The jet airways staff could not check me in for 10 minutes and then he informs me that the counter is closed. He was not able to operate his computer. Even after repeated requests they did not budge. This completely smells of a structured fraud in the name of rules of gate closing 45 minutes before flight time. Just two days ago, on the the 2nd August, 2011, I had a Jetlite from Nagpur at 3 PM departure. I was checkin at the airport and they announced that the flight will leave by 8 PM due to bad weather. All other flights were arriving and departing. Jetlite probably did not have enough load on the afternoon flight, therefore they conveniently cancelled that flight and put the passengers in the evening flight. I've had enough of Jetlite. My husband and our friends are frequent fliers. We'll try and avoid the airline as much as possible. There has been a continuous and systemic decline in the service, attitude and ethics of this airline.

      Sir,
Kindly refer to the passenger of Jet Airways Shri R.K. Tandon mail dated 12th May, 2009, which is self explanatory and reproduced as below :

“ I traveled on 9th May, 2009 Mumbai -Delhi Jet Airways flight 9W 370 scheduled departure 15.40 hrs along with my two pets(Pug Dogs named Jimmy and Batnu, 4 years and 3 years old). The flight departed at 16.00 hrs. I reached airport around 13.30 hrs. We never put them in cage but because of travel requirements, before entering airport, at airport itself, I put them in well ventilated fiber cage. I checked in at around 13.45 hrs. Prior to check in, they were taken out of cage and cages were xray screened. Near xray machine, passing passengers played with them. They were perfectly well. I also carried their latest health/ vaccination certificates as per airline pets travel requirements. I handed over them to Jet Airways staff at 13.58 hrs after paying for their passage vide receipt no 589 [protected] 5. While handing over, I checked with Jet Ground staff about the place, they will keep my pets before taking them in aircraft and requested them to keep inside the building itself. On boarding, I again requested the air hostess to check weather they have boarded and are ok. The air hostess confirmed that they are OK and now boarding. The aircraft landed at 17.40 hrs. After collecting my luggage, I saw Jet ground staff gathering around cages of my pets near entry point from inside airport at arrival. I reached there and was informed by Jet staff about bad news that they are no more. I requested them to call a Doctor if something could be done at last minute. They kept on trying to call a doctor but no one responded.
They took me to some Apollo airport clinic within the premises but no medical help available there.
They took me to Terminal 1 B in their clinic along with pets, but doctor on duty refused to even see them saying he has no knowledge about pets. They tried to locate a Vet near airport and sent one of
their staff with me who has taken me to Dr. Sharma in South Moti Bagh Market who checked and informed that nothing can be done as they are no more. On our request, he further checked and informed that apparently it seems that they died because of acute respiratory failure due to deficiency of oxygen and issued a certificate to this effect. Copy of same was also collected by Jet staff. One of the staff at airport also informally told that this has happened because of carelessness on part of Captain and crew of flight. The flight was operated by Captain Sheikh Ahmed. Some of the photographs including video of my pets Jimmy and Batnu are attached herewith.
Thanks for taking keen interest in the case so that such lapses on part of airline are not repeated.
      R K Tandon”
Being an Master Trainer of the Animal Welfare Board of India, founder Chairman, People for Animals (PFA) Haryana and representative of the United Nation ( Department of Public Information ) affiliated the International Organisation for Animal Protection – OIPA in India I moved a complaint with Mumbai Police bearing No. 12377 dated[protected] and Delhi Police bearing No. 5283 /E-mail dated 23/07/2009. The Mumbai Police inquired the matter and replied to the undersigned with suggestions to approach Delhi Police, copy of the same attached here with for ready reference.
      Now media reports says :
“ Jet Airways has been directed by a Delhi consumer forum to pay Rs. 1.44 lakh as compensation to a passenger for the “emotional setback” caused by the death of his two pugs on board. “The death of two pugs is a great material and emotional setback and loss to the consumer. Jet Airways must compensate the loss,” a Bench of Delhi District Consumer Forum, headed by C.K. Chaturvedi, said. The Bench held Jet Airways guilty of deficiency in service, saying the death of pugs while being transported from Mumbai to Delhi had caused “mental harassment” to the consumer. Delhi resident R.K. Tandon had booked tickets for the pugs, ‘Jimmy' and ‘Batnu,' in Mumbai on May 9, 2009 for Rs. 7,020 and had also submitted their health certificates to the airline. However, when the flight landed at the Delhi airport he was “utterly shocked” to see the carcasses of the short-muzzled faced dogs. The pugs were taken to a veterinary doctor who certified that they were brought dead and the death was caused due to lack of oxygen. Mr. Tandon approached the consumer forum, where the aviation firm argued that a postmortem was necessary to ascertain the cause of death. The forum, however, trashed the airline's arguments saying once the pugs were handed over to the airline, the two were its responsibility. The forum accepted the complainant's claim of Rs. 1.20 lakh with interest for deficiency in service and mental harassment. The Bench also directed the airline to pay Rs. 15,000 for mental agony and harassment and Rs. 5,000 for litigation cost ”. Certified copy of this judgement also attached here with for ready reference.
Hence keeping in view the position explained as above, both dogs were killed by the Jet Airways and violated the 428-429 IPC read with the PCA Act, 1960 and it was a criminal conspiracy against both dogs and Delhi Police Act, 1978 also be violated, So FIR may kindly be lodged against all offenders.

Sub: Baggage lock broken by Jetairways staff & misbehave of supervisor staff at arrival

I was travelling by flight 9W2536, dated 22nd July 2011, seat 10A to Mumbai on arrival I found my baggage lock (additional lock put up) was broken & missing, on enquire about the same with the supervisor that due to negligence of your staff my baggage lock is broken & missing, the supervisor has misbehaved and said she can’t help in that, is it not the responsibility of your airline to deliver the passengers bag in ok condition & if something like this happen they should compensate the same and accept such type of mistake and take preventive actions so as not to happen again. I expect your answer on the same.

I was booked on the 7:05pm flight from Bombay to Delhi on 14th July, 2011. The following are my list of complaints:

I had done a web check-in and the lady stamped my e-boarding pass.I asked her whether the gate printed on that was correct which she said it was. I remembered that I had forgotten to put in my FFP # so I went to another counter and the lady informed me that I had one page of the e-boarding pass missing which the earlier lady had not informed me. Moreover, the GATE HAD BEEN CHANGED and it was leaving from the 1st floor through aerobridge A2 and the flight was delayed to 7:45pm.

I went through security on the 1st floor and waited for the boarding call. They announced that the flight had been further delayed to 8:10pm. What was interesting was that different Jet Airways personnel were giving different reasons for the delay; while some said it was a technical snag, others were of the view that it was due the weather. Whatever the reason maybe, Air India, Indigo and Kingfisher all flew out before I had even boarded my flight despite their departure time being later.

They announced boarding from A3 (gate changed from A2). I went through the security and then we were made to queue on the aerobridge. Here we were informed that actually the departure gate was 9 and since we had already gone through security, we were to walk down the steps of the aerobridge into a bus which will take us to the aircraft. We were approx 30 o[censored]s waiting and it was raining heavily. They had one umbrella and hence, one guy was taking each passenger up and down three floors and then on to the bus. By the time I sat on the bus, I was wet and sticky. These guys said that they had tried arranging for more umbrellas were unable to do so.

When I entered the aircraft, passengers were asking whether we were on a connecting flight which was delayed, as if we caused the delay. This means that the crew never informed the rest of the passengers about the reason for our delay. By the time everyone was boarded it was 8:45; however, we were now 13 in queue for taking off and eventually ended up flying out at 9:45.

This was by far my worst experience. I used to be a gold frequent flyer, then I became a silver and now I am blue+. The reasons for this downgrade is not because I am flying lesser than before; rather, now I take an average of 2-3 flights a week. Basically, I am sick and tired of delays and terrible service. I have moved completely to Indigo. The last 14 flights I have taken on Indigo have all been on time (regardless of hail or storm). My father is a platinum member on Jet and that is the only reason he flies it; else, he would also be switching. My FFP # is 9W[protected].

I was travelling by Jetlite Flight 124 to Delhi on 1st of July'11.
All the passengers kept waiting at the airport for 2hrs and then we get to know that the flight has got canceled due to TECHNICAL FAULT. and this was the second time it has happened to me with Jetlite.

All the passengers were then asked to shift to SpiceJet, which I really appreciated. Atleast they were trying to do their best to ensure that passengers do not suffer much.

However, In the meanwhile I had a word with their manager Mr. NILJOY (Ahmedabad Airport - Jetlite) and this ....... Manager took out his frustration on me for no reason. I understand that lot of people had had an heated arguement with him but this is no way of treating your customer. All i asked him was since you will be issuing a new boarding pass for Spicejet kibdly ensure that i can get same seat number, as i had a Window seat on the Jetlite flight.
And Mr. Niljoy started abusing and I said I would rather get my flight canceled because this was no way of treating a passenger. He SNATCHED my boarding
pass and gave it to his colleague. His treatment was just not fair even after all what a passenger had been through.

I sincerely now want to file a complaint against this manager.

This is the fourth time that I have faced a prob with Jetlite. I am NEVER EVER travelling by JETLITE again.

i have travelled on this flight & did check in my suitcase & found one of them is completely broken. they mis-handled it, thus a huge see thrugh crack is developed on the TOP & back side of the suitcase is been badly damaged/broken all things inside were visible. i did complain at the airport & one Mr Sarabjot Singh refused to accept my complain rather asked me to fill up a feedback form, which i did & also wrote to guest relations with acopy to Jet nodal officer, in the butshall all do suggest that its a routine handling & no claim cam be accepted. Airport staff was rude on the 13th night at Delhi. though senior guys do accept the issue but not willing to take up claim of broken suitcase..!! i do not understand the cause for them not agreeing to it also kind of service & response when airport staff not only is rude but also not willing to give their business card in order to prevent their identity. please look into it & let airline pay for the damage caused to my relatively new suitcase.

                Thanks

I wanted to redeem my JP miles, so I tried to do the same online. I regret to say that the attached message of sold out popped out, as always. Is it so that JET is fooling its ‘so called Privileged customers’? I have a reason to say so – When I tried to book my tickets on 1st Oct’11 Bangalore to Delhi and return on 11th Oct’11, the system showed all sold out, then I tried for the month of December same thing repeated.

If you don’t want the customers to have this privilege then why JET lure the customers by offering such privileges.

I would appreciate your reply on - why my tickets for the said dates cannot be booked.

Since my flight was cancelled i was being routed via Raipur. I got my boarding pass after security check without luggage tag. After an inquiry before boarding it was being assured my jet staff Mr. Satish, Mr Sonil CSS that it is taken care and it will be delivered to you at destination terminal.

In Bubabanewar terminal luggage was missing and jet employee refused to lodge complain and Mr. Sangram Panda simply given an stamp received complain. Now either Jet department is taking any action for luggage missing without tag and port officer are coming on phone.

I request all Jet airways for my missing luggage as it carries very important papers.
                      Thanks

                            Address: Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh

I have travelled by Jet Konnect (10;15 am) flight from Hyderabad to Bhubaneshwar on 27th May 2011. Aboard the flight, they gave me a scratch card, which "won" a Paul Philippe watch at a "discounted" price of Rs 599/-. I fell for it and bought it at the AVA counter at Bhubaneshwar airport. After coming back from Bhubaneshwar to Hyderabad, I opened the pack only to find that the watch is not working. I tried to search for Paul Philippe dealers on the Net. There were no results.
Why is the Jetairways a part of the fake racket? Why is the Govt. of India allowing such products to be sold at AVA counters of its airports(I have seen that there are many victims like me, who have been cheated by AVAs at various airports)?
I would like action to be taken against Jetairways and AVA of Bhubaneshwar. I also want my money back along with damages, that are applicable.

                              Hi,

I was travelling from Delhi to Singapore with my family on Apr 23, 2011 with Jet Airways (Flight # 9W-0018). I had checked in three suitecases. Lock for one of the suitecase was broken, when I collected my baggage in Singapore and when I opened I was shocked. Suitecase was toltally messy and my wife's gold earrings were missing.

I already registered a complaiment with Jet and they told that there were nothing wrong on their part and they closed the case without providing me the proper justification.

Please do needful for me on this.

                              Regards,

                                  Hi,

My brother, a student had an international flight to Africa KQ 203 departing at 3:10 am. He missed his flight due to delay of the jet airways 9w2704 expected to leave reach Mumbai at 00:45. The flight reached Mumbai at 2:am today 12-May-2011.
He informed Jet Airways he had an international flight from Bangalore one hour before normal scheduled boarding time.
The next international flight is more expensive. Where is the money ?

Now jet Airways denies responsibility in this loss.
What can we do to get justice done ?

I, Amit Deb, booked two tickets from Guwahati to Bengaluru for 7th May at 1655 hours. I informed in the counter that my son would be late but he still managed to reach 10 mins earlier the departure of the flight. Despite of this information the lady in the counter of the Guwahati airport misbehaved and tore off the tickets.

I recently travelled to Nepal with my father in law with Jet Airways. We arrive on the 22nd April and our bags were delayed. We are eventually able to pick them up on the Thursday 28th April, we were leaving to come back to the UK on the 29th April. We were offered 50 dollars for this inconvenience which I refused as I think this is far more serious than compensation of 50 dollars. Upon my return to England I have emailed Jet Airways twice with this complaint but have received no reply.

                                        Address: Maharashtra

I was awarded a Jet Airways free travel voucher for 2 passengers in the New Year Party organised at Hotel Peninsula Grand at Mumbai. The voucher allowed any two passengers free return tickets between Mumbai and Dubai. The validity of voucher was between 1st January, 2011 and 31st March, 2011.

However, when I went to redeem the voucher at your counter at Amarchand House, Mumbai (sometime in last week of January, 2011), I was not allowed to do so. The reason given for the same were shocking and to me it reflected the lack of business ethics and respect for the passengers.

I put down my observations as follows:
                                        1. I was told that though the Free tickets have been given, the flights have very limited / no quota to accommodate Free passengers! If Jet Airways has no quota to honour the commitment of a Gift voucher, then why does it issue such vouchers?
                                        2. I was told that even if the tickets were issued to me, I could be offloaded if they get a ‘revenue’ passenger. Does Jet Airway feel that people who redeem free vouchers are have no self respect? First they offer a free travel voucher and then they tell the passenger that they are going to offload him because they are less important then ‘revenue’ passengers.
                                        3. I was told that the only way to get a free ticket is that if I check closer to the travel date. If a seat is available, I can be issued a free ticket. Does Jet Airways feel that people have no life of their own and they should just keep making rounds to Jet’s counters to check when a ticket is available for free? And that too when Jet’s voucher mentions exactly the reverse, that the ticket must be issued at least 15 days before the departure date.
                                        4. I was told that I cannot be given a confirmed ticket if my travel date is till 25thof February!! So essentially from last week of January to last week of February, I was not allowed to fly. The voucher had a section to mention the embargo date. So why was this not mentioned? Obviously it was because Jet Airways did not want its voucher to be treated like a waste paper. If they had the honesty to mention all the terms that I was told that day, they know very well that any recipient of the voucher would tear it that same day he receives it.

When the issue was raised with Jet Airways, they mailed back (Dated 22nd Feb, 2011, from [protected]@jetairways.com) saying that their sales team shall get in touch with me to offer us a compensatory voucher in lieu of the voucher which they did not honour. However, after that they never got back to us.

                                        Thanks & Regards,

I agree with you that Jetairways customer service and that from the Jetprivilege department is severely lacking and in fact makes a fool of its customers. I made a complaint to Jet also and they promised to credit me with some compensatory airmiles on my privilege account. It has been several months now and I have not seen these miles. Does the airline expect its customers to grovel??? Jet airways is about to enter a very bad stage in its business alot of those troubles are coming from the way they treat passengers. Without shame !!
