I was browsing your site for taxi services in Gangtok on 24th February, 2022, when I got a calls from [protected] and [protected] stating that it was Himalayan cab services from Bojoghari, Gangtok and they provided taxi services in Gangtok. The person enquired about my requirements and I conveyed the same to them. He, introducing himself as Arjun Jaiswal, gave an estimate which I asked them to give in written. He provided the same over Whattsapp and being convinced I transferred 30% of the amount i.e Rs 6600 through UPI.
I had asked them several times about the receipt but they just kept on telling that they would provide very soon. However after I had lodged a complain with your department, I was provided the same but that too of Rs 6000, whereas I had paid Rs 6600.
In the conference call with your executive, the vendor had claimed that all his data in whattsapp was lost and because of that he wasn't able to provide me the receipt. However he never conveyed me this.
On reaching Gangtok on 26.05.2022, I had searched for the concerned Office of the Vendour as given in your site and the receipt, but there was no trace of any such offices in Gangtok. The phone numbers provided were also found switched off. The Gangtok Police has confirmed that the vendour is a fraud based in Delhi and has cheated many people. I have even logged a complain against the said person with Gangtok Sadar Police Police Station (Complain No 13 dated 28.05.2022). I would like to inform you that it is because of sharing my phone number by Justdial with fraud vendours and unverified means of listing vendours in the website, I have suffered huge monetary loss and harassment on reaching Gangtok with my family.I would also like to inform you that I possess all documents in support of my claim.
Hence I request you to take this matter seriously, investigate into it and compensate appropriately for the loss due to fraud. I expect a favorable reply from your end within 7 days failing which I will be compelled to take refuge of the consumer court to seek justice.
