sir,

1. I have purchased Kelvinater Refrigerator (Model No KD 180 BMC Capacity 180 ltr, PNC No [protected], Sl No 20502803 manufactured in Aug 2008 on 25 Nov 08 from Vasanath & CO in Tambaram West, City -Chennai, State- Tamilnadu vide Bill No [protected].)

2. On delivery at home it was found that operating manual and Warranty card was missing. On enquiring with the dealer I was directed to lodge a complaint with the customer service centre. Representative of the company visited and told that the manual and warranty card is the responsibility of the dealer only. Again I contacted the dealer and no positive reponse was recieved. The dealer/customer service centre is not able to give a concrete soultion the problem.

3. So, I request you to do the needful for the same and send the document to the below mentioned address.

    Sir,
    1. I had purchased a kelvinator refrigerator in 26 Feb 08 from Visakhapatnam. There has been certain problems like poor/uneven cooling inside which we initially did not view seriously, but which aggrevated to formation of water droplets inside.I reported the complaint to my dealer in Visaskhapatnam in Sep 08 which did not get addressed. Later i noticed an all india toll free customer care number in a newspaper to which i have reported the matter five times since Oct 08. but the problem is yet to be rectified.

    2. One service agent did visit once and said that the gasket needs to be changed, but one month has passed after that but no further action has taken place.

    3. The details of my complaints are given below. I would be grateful if you could assist me in taking the company to task and provide compensation for deficiency in service- maybe refund my money in totality and take back their piece.

    Dear Sir, I have purchased kelvinator refrigerator in march 2008. In the month of april2009 cooling was not there. when we approach the servicing engineer, he says wer have pay rs2000/- for filling up gas other etc expenditure. I donot under stand why they aregiving warntee for 5 years for compressor. when i questioned them they say compressor is different and gas is different. pl inform whom to contact ie if you have email id of kelvinotr HQ pl ionform me i will be thankful. prasad

      Inspite of my registering complain regarding non availibility of authorised service centre or personnel for my maxi cool (kr 315 model) kelvinator refridgerator on 16th nov. thru this page I am still waiting for such a person to visit me. Compressor has started making noise.the door fails to seal properly.the fridge body gets a voilent jolt when getting auto power shut.I am afraid the fridge may get damaged completely if defects are not repaired soon.I don't want to get it repaired by an unauthorised person:-----

        Dear Sir/Madam,

        This is to draw your kind attention to the fact that I had purchased a Kelvinator Refrigerator on 22nd June’07 from Chawla Electronics, 3775, Netaji Subhash Marg, Darya Ganj, New Delhi-110 002, through bill no-31/1521.

        Since then this machine has been giving me trouble like, improper cooling, insulation problem, improper defrosting, water leakage etc.It seems to be a defective unit & it didn’t even had the water container to collect the defrosted water(which has now been provided by the co after repeated complaints).

        I have paid Rs 7800.00 for this refrigerator alongwith my old Videocon refrigerator(under exchange, which I had used for more than 10 years without any problem whatsoever).In spite of repeated complaints the dealer has not even bothered to send somebody to get the machine checked.

        I believed Kelvinator Refrigerator was a reputed & trustworthy brand but what I have gone through in the last 18 months or so has changed my opinion.

        Now I can only hope that somehow I can get back my hard earned money(after any deductions if applicable) so that I can buy a suitable refrigerator which works normally/properly.

        Since then this machine has been giving me trouble like, improper cooling, insulation problem, improper defrosting, water leakage etc.It seems to be a defective unit & it didn’t even had the water container to collect the defrosted water(which has now been provided by the co after repeated complaints).

        I believed Kelvinator Refrigerator was a reputed & trustworthy brand but what I have gone through in the last 4 months or so has changed my opinion

        Now I can only hope that somehow I can get back my hard earned money (after any deductions if applicable) so that I can buy a suitable refrigerator which works normally/properly

        This is to inform you that I have bought a refrigerator in March 2009 from Electronic Palace,
        S-34/35, Gole Market, Mahanagar, Lucknow; the particulars of which are given as under :

        The refrigerator functioned smoothly for the first four months and then in July 2009 it stopped working. I contacted the Customer Care on [protected] and they sent a Service Engineer against complaint number LUC [protected]. He observed that there is some gas problem with the refrigerator and will send a mechanic to fix the same. The mechanic came after 3-4 days, changed the freezer and charged Rs.1200/- for the same.
        Then in September 2009 again the refrigerator stopped working and upon contacting the Customer Care the Service Engineer came and observed that the refrigerator has undergone the same problem again. Then he sent a trolley and my refrigerator was taken to the Service Centre for repairing. After 3 days I got my refrigerator back in working condition.
        In January 2010, my refrigerator again experienced the same problem. The Customer Care people sent the Service Engineer against compliant number LUC [protected]. He said that the refrigerator is again experiencing gas problem.
        I did not take any action this time and decided to bring this issue to the higher authorities. I obtained the number of Mr. Lokendra Singh from Customer Care and called him at[protected] and also on his mobile number [protected]. His approach to my problem was not satisfactory. Hence, I decided to write to you.
        Though I have all the necessary documents for filing a case but still I decided to write to you before going to the Consumer Forum. I request you to please replace my refrigerator with a new one within a month and save me from further trouble. I will be highly obliged.

        Dear All,

        A time where corporate are flocking to India, a time where customers are empowered with choice and rights, esteemed brands like 'Videocon' must exercise extreme caution in handling customer requests and grievances. Much would be known to all strategists within Videocon as to how critical 'Customer Retention' is, and the costs associated, in an era where completion has at times displaced brands with decades of existence in the country viz, Bata, BP, Shell to name a few.

        India is perhaps 'the' country where masses have made success out of a not so safe car, a non refined scooter, Korean CDG over Japanese CDG etc because of excellent After Sales support. Dell has made its niche in India only on the "After Sales Support " advantage and displaced Giants like HP and IBM,

        The point of writing this mail is to attract all attention to possible customer apathy within the "Support Function" of the company.

        The case in ref is the poor insufficient support/service of refrigerator.

        A complain which had been made 20 days ago at the customer support and I never expected such response. The service / support engineer responsible for the service was apprised of a few anomalies.

        However after 15 -20 days of numerous follow up calls and subsequent evading responses, a visit to the site without the appropriate solution/dishonest approach to problem solving.

        It is a sincere request that all 'responsible' may kindly be advised to

        - suggest a plausible solution after a thorough examination by a 'credible' support staff member at the earliest.
        - failing which suggest an "alternative course of action".
        -thereby reinstate customer confidence in the 'Brand and its Expected Deliverables'.

        Look forward to an expedited redressal of the grievance / suggestion on further course of action.

        This was never ever expected from the company like Videocon for support.

          I had purchased a Kelvinator Refrigerator on 23rd April’08 from Pirgal Electronics Hyderabad, and since then this machine has been giving trouble like improper cooling.

          When we called customer care they have taken the complaint and given the complaint reference number as 8B[protected] but after multiple calls also nobody has turned up for the last 3 weeks.This is the one of the worst service i have ever seen.

          I have purchased a kelvinator refregirator on third June '2014 from Sri kalyani house of electronics & appliances Secunderabad and since then this machine is not working properly current is passing but fridge is not working When we complained about it immediately the next day that is fourth June' 2014 they are not any response after giving the complaint several times to the shopkeeper & customer care they are not responding and taking in a rudely manner. This is the worst service I have seen and carelessness of your employees.           Electrolux Fully Automatic — Electric Shock and body

          I have first called Mr. Snehal [Mo.[protected]] at Ahmedabad service center the complaint no. 7E[protected] given on 19th of August 2008. Mr. Snehal replied that my complaint for electric shock which comes while operating machines and outer body is badly damaged will be resolved within 24 hours.

          But this is not solved till today.

          I had purchased a kelvinator refrigerator Model No: KHP 214 SH, Serial No:[protected], Compressor No:[protected] on 20th July 2009 Bill No: 17727 from Swan Soni Appliances Pvt Ltd Branch Office 4-1-828/B, J.N Road, Beside Ramakrishna Cinema main gate, Abids, Hyderabad, Phone:[protected], which is an Authorized Dealer of Kelvinator. When we start using the refrigerator there has been sound coming from the refrigerator we think that it’s a normal which we initially did not view seriously but by using day by day sound get increased. When we called customer care through dealer on 29th August 09, they have taken the complaint and give complaint No- HYD [protected] but after that nobody has turned up I reported the complaint to my dealer Later I call to customer care number [protected] to which I have reported the matter five times since 29th August 09, but the problem is not rectified.

          1. One service agent did visit on 2nd September 09 and said that the compressor needs to be changed

          2. Another service agent did visit on 13th September 09 and said same thing that the compressor needs to be changed

          3. Another service agent did visit on 23rd September 09 and said same thing that the compressor needs to be changed, but number of days has passed after that but no further action has taken place.

          4. On 26th September 09 two service agents did visit from Srinivas Electrical Appliances H. No: 3-3-1008, Opp, Ranga Stores, Kuthibiguda, Koti, Hyderabad-500027, Ph:[protected]. They replaced the compressor and given the Service Challan Note No: 373, but they failed to solve the problem again the sound coming and I talked to their Senior Technician. He said that he will visit and check the problem on the next day but he fails to come.

          After that I make a call to customer care on 29th September 09 and I have reported the matter and request them to replace the refrigerator as I am not satisfied with the service which they have taken the complaint and give another complaint No- HYD [protected] and since that problem is not rectified. And on 7th October 09 one technician visit and took the Xerox copies of the required documents and said that I will talk to the manager about this problem and on 15th October 09 another technician visit and check the condition of refrigerator. I said him that after replacing the compressor I am getting the same old sound problem as well as cooling is not getting well and when I am taking out the ice-tray from the freezer I got Electric shock by touching the ice-tray and the technician also noticed it very well he said that it’s a normal Electric problem every refrigerator have this much of shock when you touch the body of it and took the document copies and ask me to write a request letter to the company and I will hand over to the manager for further proceed.

          The details of my complaints are given below. I would be grateful if you could help me to replace this refrigerator and provide a better refrigerator which I will be very thankful to you.

          Hello Sir,

          I am reciding in Vadodara(South Gujarat) and i have purchaged kevinator refrigerator in last month 14th March 2010. The model number of the refrigerator is KFL 185.

          After a week of purchage, the cooling is getting lowered continuesly and it gets stop autometically and started as well. At a first glance i thought that it might be the feature to maintain the temperature but it stopped cooling at all before 15 days.

          I have filed complaint, AHM[protected], for that but service man came after 3 days and told me that the GAS is choked up and it needs to take at workshop and would take a week to get back.

          I have argued and reported that i want to replace it with other refrigerator because i am facing problems in start of the day i purchage it.

          But they have refused me to do that and forced me to get repaired it. I convinced by them on the base of the replacement report if i get problem any more.

          But till the date they did not come to my home to take the refrigerator for repair and even they are not picking up my phone calls.

          So, i am expecting you to give you kind attention to it and solve my problem.

          Kelvinator — High voltage current on body

          My appliance gives a high voltage current. After repairing it'll not give the accurate response. I purchase it in the month of July and i,ll registered two complaints till today.

          This is to inform you that, I had purchased a Kelvinator refrigerator KSP204, INVOICE NO. 646 on 17 Feb-11, from Electro Cottage 40, Sheo charan lal road, Laxaman Bazar, Allahabad, after a month it stop functioning, I have made a complaint to the company in their toll free phone number [protected] on 12th may '11, as my Kelvinator refrigerator is not functioning. No any service representative attended the problem against the complaint. I got a message from company service centre Mr. NAZER ([protected]) will attend complaint number VAR[protected] within 48 hours.

          Today is 09th June whole summer session is going to change into rainy and no one from company's side has attended the complaint. In the mean time I have talked to their customer care many times. All the time customer care executives told the same thing that my complaint will be attended very shortly.

          kelvinator refrigerator and customer care — worst service

          this is the second time i am giving the complaint. my sister in law, who is a widow bought a kelvinator refrigerator from modern radios, nr. ajanta talkies, dahod , phone no[protected] , bill no. 18, invoice no. 1714 on[protected], after that regularly there is one or the other problem with the machine and is not functioning normal. every time she has to pay some or the other charges, some time for misfunctioning of the fan, sometime for gas leakage and reloading , water leakage etc. she is tired of the refrigerator and wishes to either get it replaced or repaired thoroughly, the dealer also does not respond properly, please help her in this regard and obelige. my mail id is [protected]@yahoo.co.in

          I had purchased a Kelvinator Refrigerator on December, 2010 from NEXT Electronics, Aliganj, Lucknow, and since then this machine has been giving trouble like improper cooling and noise problem.

          When we called customer care they have taken the complaint on 20th February, 2012 (complaint reference number as LUC[protected]) after 3 days i got a message your complaint has been closed. After getting the message, i had again complaint on 23rd February 2012 (complaint reference number as LUC[protected]) this time they send me a engineer name Mr. Afaq Siddique his mobile no. is [protected], i called him on 24th February 2012, he said i am busy some buddy visit to your house and short out your problem but no buddy was visited and next day i got the same reply "your compliant has been closed". On the 27th i had again compliant to the customer care executive he said engineer visit your home i also contacted to Mr. Afaq Siddique he also told me the same reply but still waiting for visit of engineer.

          After multiple calls also nobody has turned up for the last 3 weeks.This is the one of the worst service i have ever seen.

          Within short period Refrigerator’s main door bottom hinges [Fiber Hinges] are Broken/damaged due to bad quality of hinges.

          Due to crake in fiber/plastic hinges, Door is not closing properly hence all cold air removed outside from gaps & Refg. Compressor is not tripping & I am paying more amt. of electricity bill.

          At present refg. in close condition due to removed main from freeze.

              first of all they did not had the model in stock, so they told that they will be supplying videocon, then suddenly after one and half month after they got the kelvinator oven delivered and that too without the invoice.
              When i tried to used it it was not working at all and then their service guy the circuit is damaged, they asked for the invoice, these people are so ... that they send the invoice too after 20 days that too by email and without sign on it.
              now, when i asked to replace it with a new one, they are telling that they will repair and give it.

              that was really a disgusting moment and i thought to never purchase a videocon product in near future.

              the people checking for their products pleas please dont prefer videocon or any of its allied brands

                Our Kelvinator is purchased in 2002 from Spencers at Chennai. A tube connected from Freezer to the tray has came off and water is leaking out. I would like to get it fixed at the earliest. The machine is also laud. Sine the purchase, there were so many changes have taken over with company take overs that I am in a fix as whom to contact in Chennai for the repair.
                I have raised complaints three months back for my refrejrator 200L, ( fast colling and bottle rack has been broken) tryied to followup my previous two service request ( raised by with my cell no [protected] )
                and every two and three weeks but still not receiving positive resoponse. spoke with customer care on several times but they just doing remider procedure to technician, since last three mothns could you call some one how I can raise this issue to right person or Manager or any high senior escalation team, its very disgusting service from kelvinator company, I have just completed 6 mothns to bought product from kelvinator company and I am facing this issue even I am ready to pay service charges, no one company is taking this much time for customer service even face any problem. please response any via call or mail,

                  I had purchased a Kelvinator DC Refrigerator Model KD225M-B-RED from Ess Gee Enterprises, # 4027-A, Dhobi Bazar, Bathinda-151001(India) (Phone No.[protected], Mobile:[protected]against their Invoice No.0487 dated 5-Sep-2007 by paying Rs.9, 500.00.
                  About 20 days back, it started giving problem of very low cooling. I had contacted the above party, who gave me Mobile No.[protected] of Mr. Kamal, who is said to be authorised service provider for Kelvinator appliances. For the last 20 days, I have been continuously contacting Mr. Kamal to get the Refrigerator checked for necessary repairs. Everyday, he confirmed that his man will come up today positively, but his man never came till today.
                  Please help me as the problem in the Refrigerator has arisen well within the Warranty Period. But under the circumstances, it seems that Warranty will expire by the time he deputes his man for repairs. I had visited the Kelvinator web site www.kelvinator.co.in, but there is no Contact Phone Number, email address etc. of M/s. Kelvinator. Under the circumstances, please guide me what to do? Should I go to Consumer Court.

                      The Kelvinator 250 ltr refrigerator(purchase date 20-8-07, From KEMS agency Kottayam, Kerala), is still under warranty and we are facing the following complaints.
                      there is no cooling, the motor is working continuously(there is no cut off), the light inside the refrigerator is not switching off.
                      these were reported to the agency on 14-7-08 and the fridge is in same condition till date.
                      I like to get this solved as soon as possible.

                        Sub: Please reimburse for compressor replacement in guarantee period



                        Dear Customer Care Officer,



                        We purchased a Kelvinator (300 lt) model 458 FF on 23/10/03 from City Palace Electronic PTE Ltd, J-54, Sector -18, Near Gurdwara, Noida for Rs 24, 000 ( Invoice number 22227).

                        On 21/03/08, there was a problem with the fridge and we called for servicing of the same but we were not able to furnish the original bill of the purchase to show the guarantee period of the same so we had to pay up Rs 4000 for the change of compressor and gas charging etc for the same.

                        But now we have recovered the original bill of the purchase of the fridge – and since the compressor has a warranty period, we request you to pay us back the amount spent on the change of the compressor – Rs 4, 000.



                        Pl find attached a copy of the original bill of purchase and the job sheet for the replacement of the compressor.

                        We hope to have a favourable response from Kelvinator as we have been loyal to the brand for many years.

                        Would appreciate a response on mail for confirming the action on this.

                          We own a kelvinator Corona-286 litres which after years o[censored]ninterrupted service had a problem. We contacted M/s.HOME TECH ENGINEERS, 32/2977/A3, NR CATHOLIC SYRIAN BANK, ANJUMURY, PONNURUNNY, VYTTILA P.O., KOCHI-16, KERALA- PHONE:[protected]/[protected]
                          who after many reminders came to attend the problem and informed us that the compressor is not working. They took the refrigerator and brought it back by replacing the compressor at a cost of Rs.3, 950/- which was paid vide their DELIVERY CUM COLLECTION NOTE NO.1355 dated 18/03/2008. After two or three days the fridge stopped working and we contacted and informed them. We have called them several times to rectify the problem but to no avail. Since, having used the refrigerator for such a long time we find it difficult to adjust to the situation.We request you to kindly arrange with the firm to rectify the problem at the earliest.

                          I DO AGREE WITH THE ABOVE COMPLAINT DETAILED BY MR. B.SREEKUMAR. I TOO HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY NEW KELVINATOR 320 LITRES REFRIGERATOR WHICH WENT WRONG AND STOPPED WORKING FOUR DAYS BACK. AFTER CALLING MORE THAN 15 TIMES (I KEEP ON CALLING THEM FROM MY THREE PHONES AND IT IS HORRIBLE TO HEAR FOR MORE THAN 2-3 HOURS THAT THE PHONE NUMBER IS BUSY) ONE OF THE PHONE IS NOT AT ALL WORKING. IT'S IS HORRIBLE JOB TO GET A WORK DONE THROUGH THE ABOVE NAMED WRETCHED SERVICE PEOPLE OF SO CALLED KELVINATOR. I PLEASE MY TOTAL DISPLEASURE AND MY UTTER DISSATISFACTION OVER KELVINATOR SERVICE. IT IS TIME TO SUSPEND THESE HOME TECH ENGINEERS AND THROW THEM OUT OF KOCHI.
                          I bought a kalvinator 320 ltrs. fridge on 13.09.2009 which was delivered to me without key and after many complaints yet my fridge is unlocked. Also complaint against water leakage, it is detected that chilled tray screw was missing and the company yet harrasing me as yet chilled tray is unbeared due to missing of screw.I am really doubtful as Kalvinator is in market or business is running by others by the same name as people still going for Kalvinator due to their goodwill in the market. My earnest request, please excange my fridge as I am not happy with the performance of above fridge.
                          I am stranger to Kelvinator. I have purchased a second hand refrigerator which was o.k. initially and now it is not working. I tried local servicewala being a old one. but he told that compressor to be repaired and will cost around Rs.1750/- . So I am going to give a complaint to kelvinator service centre kochi. Any comments... please guide me.
