We purchased Kent RO Grand+ an year back and during the warranty period itself it broke down 6 times and the agent Aishwarya Solar Technologies sent in guys to fix them after repeated calls to customer care. I had to pay for the Carbon filter during the warranty period itself. The service guys were always trying to sell external filters for 1700 Rs which was available outside for 600Rs. They never complied to my request to replace my unit. Right after a couple of weeks after warranty period, the unit slowed down, taking hours to produce water. When called the Customer care, they send a guy who demanded replacing RO filter first (2500 Rs) and then 5 other filters later (4350 Rs). The last guy couldn't test the unit as the Power went off. He promised to return later but didn't show up. When I called the care number, another guy picked up the phone and shouted at me asking me to go to court. Later I realized that the Customer care number on the unit was not Kent's but it was scrambled by a sticker by the Agency. Now I have called the new number and I am waiting to see their response, not to mention I have lost all my patience with this product.

Someone called last Friday and hung up saying that she needs to talk to her manager and will call back right after. No response after that. My unit is broken for a week and half now (which was running ok before the service) and Kent doesn't seem to be bothered about it.
They sent the old guy again today and now I have to pay for a broken choke too (which was working fine before their service). I have sent the customer care a fresh email (below). Hi,

I have tried calling your dealer, customer care number, online forum customercare.in several times in the last two weeks. Every single one of them have asked me to call someone else giving me new numbers and the last person I was asked to call, Mr K Balagi[protected], didn't pick up my call.

So here is a brief about my issue:

The unit, right after the warranty expired, started getting slow on producing pure water.
When I called the dealer, they sent a guy (Raghu) who without even checking, gave the verdict that RO filter was broke and needed replacement which will cost me 2500Rs.
When I said I was not happy as the guy didn't even check the system, they sent another guy (Mylari) who asked me to replace six filers instead of one at a cost of 4350Rs.
I didn't want to pay this much as the unit has a history of breakage (six times in past one year) and the amount didn't seem reasonable. I asked the guy to put the unit back in its state as there was no electricity at that time. He promised to return later but didn't show up. When I tried to turn on the unit it seemed totally dead with no response at all.
Called the customer care again and the guy there shouted at me asking me to go to court if I want service. He told me that I didn't pay for the service (which I did and I have the receipts with me).
When complained via Customer Care again, they told me that I have been calling the number on the unit which was not actual customer care but dealer number imposing as customer care number.
I found out the customer care number and customercare.in contact and tried reaching Kent that way.
A lady called me from Kent care and told me that she will talk to her manager and get back to me. But she didn't.
When I complained again, they sent a guy today (Raghu again) and he told me that the Choke is broken now and that will cost me 950Rs. The unit was working before Mylari serviced it (and after Raghu left) but now I have to pay for a mistake Mylari made.
Called Customer care number [protected] and I was asked to call Mr RS Rao[protected], regional service head.
A lady by name Prathibha picked, talked to Raghu and told me she will contact Bangalore head Mr. Manikandan (whom I have tried to reach before as directed by care but was on vacation and the in place guy asked me to call Customer care number) and get back to me in 10 minutes.
She didn't get back to me even after repeated calls and the receptionist asked me to call Mr K Balagi (message from Prathibha)
Mr Balagi didn't pick up his phone after repeated calls.
Now, I need to get my unit fixed, to the stage it was before the last service, immediately, and the broken filters fixed right after that.
I am expecting you to either give me a refund on the unit or extend its warranty as I do not see a point in spending 4000+ Rs on a unit which has broken down 6 times in the warranty period. If it continue its current course, I will end up paying around 25, 000 Rs this year, which is way above the unit's initial price. If you cannot agree with this, I guess I will have seek help from consumer court and find a legally feasible solution to this conflict.

Expecting an immediate response.
I've had an equally disastrous experience with Aishwarya Solar TEchnologies.
After geeting the service done just 4 days ago, today I noticed that my Kent was leaking.
When i called the numbers given on the bill - the lady asked me to repeat my bill number atleast 10 times. Which was quite irritating.
Then she asked me when the service wasd one. I told her 15- DEcember - and she kept asking which month!!! I said "obviously this month" She then told someone that I was calling and asking for a service for 15-December-2013!!!
I told her "Are you deaf" to which she said "Pls go to police station or consumer court"!!! I intend to file a complaint against Kent & Consumer court both!!
This is absolutely ridiculus!

    We purchased kent grand mineral RO on 16 Nov 2012. In June 2014 we have replaced sediment, carbon and post carbon and uf membrane for Rs 2300 through Aqua world, Jayanagar, Bangalore-11 as water was overflowing . For the last one week the amount of water filtered is very slow and it takes almost about 2-3 hrs for completing the process.The mechanic was called from Aqua World Jayanagar who told that we have to replace the main activated carbon block and also some other parts as outflow water is not coming smoothly and he is asking for Rs 3500 for the same.I am very disappointed with the performance of your product and within less than 2 years the product is malfunctioning., These type of breakdown by the product is not acceptable to any customer.Will you kindly look in to the matter and replace the necessary components free of cost.The reputation of the product will suffer with these issues.       Kent Supreme RO unit is by far one of the worst product I have ever purchased. Product started giving problem starting 1st month of purchase. Service engineer told Solenoid valve has to be replaced. It took several visits for service engineer to replace the valve in trail and error basis. After few months the unit stopped working again. This time the board inside the unit has to be replaced. Again it took some time for the service engineer to replace the board. After few months the unit stopped working again. This time the same board failed and I have replace out of my pocket since the RO unit just crossed the warranty period. Worst part is, the board is guaranteed to work for only one month, if the board fails after one month, I need to pay out of my pocket.

      Kent Supreme is one of the worst product I have ever seen. From day1 it starts giving problem, I got new machine replaced as delivered was faulty internals. Then after every 3 months it is giving problem then service engineer will visit every time and replaces something or other and get Rs. 500 charges.

      Lastly two months before he replaces RO+UV and extra purifier set and charged me Rs.7000 and told it will run for next two years.

      But again after 1 months its starts giving problem, water gets leaked inside the Purifier and service engineer said cylinder burst inside and need to be replaced. I got pissed off and don't know what to do now.

      This is one of the WORST company I wrongly trusted and spend around 12k for repair for this junk purifier. I will make sure no one buys this product and get annoyed.

        The worst services I have seen till now from AXIS Consumer Kolkata (RO Service Provider). It's pathitic. Is it possible we can shift to any other RO service provide in Kolkata Otherwise it would be good to Switch to another RO Service rather than KENT.

        Dear Members,
        The persons with RO Filter residing in KOLKATA we provide servicing of any brand RO Filter at very reasonable rates and only charge when the problem is solved, no visiting charge is taken, when we solve the problem we charge. So we will be happy if you call us at [protected] or mail us at [protected]@gmail.com. We always try to be on time so that our customers don't face purified water shortage.

            Hi, In first week of Oct. I got new Kent Gand + Ro Installed and within a months time it has stated give problems. I see water leaking from the unit after every 10 days and its very difficult to get Kent Technicians for fixing issues. Now again I see this same water leakage in kent Ro and this time Kent distributor has denied service. Can you please provide some help, my RO is not working since past 4 days.                 We have 3 water purifier machine (10 & 50 liters).From last 6 months we are having regular problem for the same machine, From Kent no one is coming to give the service & doing servicing till now when we call them to solve the problem, they don't tell that you can take AMC in the warranty period without other charges.Moreover we have changed the membrane rods & etc parts as suggested by your technician in our both the machine by paying immediate cash before 6months ago during warranty period.                   we have done the AMC with Alex Home appliance, And this is the 3rd renewal which has been made. There was no problem in the initial period. But since the last renewal which will be around 7-8 months back, one Mr. Sukumar has been assigned the job by the company. And I started having one of the worst experience with kent RO system. It has malfunctioned more than 7-8 times in this period. And whenever this gentleman has attended the job, he has never got the job card or has got signed the completion job sheet ( may be only once it was done). Whenever he has changed any parts, it has always been doubtful. Moreover his attitude and way of talking is very rough and not at all acceptable, as complained by my wife. The matter has been brought to the notice of the office, and plenty of time request has gone to change this person but to no affect. I have tried phone number of Mr. Sanjay Bagchi also, but he has not respond to the call. Just wanted to know whether we have made a blunder by buying kent ro system. If that is the case then I need to share this with other flat mates which is around 1650 flats in our society, " South City".                     Product: KENT SUPEREME 0% water wastage in RO purifiers Serial no: KR[protected] Engineer Visited: KRISHNA KUMAR I have Kent RO (Serial no kr[protected] but am very dissatisfied with Kent customer service. Latest example is complaint no.[protected] made on Oct. 31 that system is not working remains unfixed to date despite repeated complaints over 4 times. As a result, He replaced membrane but the result was that the wastage water increased 5 times . I said to engineer KRISHNA KUMAR, this product have 0% water wastage and now the wastage water is increased 5 times. Even he does not know about the product and argue with me. I was shocked he is certified engineer by KENT or not. Now every time he visited make the false statement. Now the problem even bigger wastage water is over flowed from Kent and sparred in kitchen. It will take too much time to fill. Please get the problem rectified immediately and ensure action against people who are spoiling Kent's reputation. Thanks.

                      I have been using a Kent RO machine for the past 2 yrs. The pump-motor joint has started leaking, perhaps its because Kent is using plastic parts to cut cost and they wear down pretty soon. The technician was not able to repair the leak, and has asked us to replace the whole pump itself. Now, 1. Why should the pump-motor unit be replaced, if its only a leak problem and not a motor problem. Obviously cost of repl is high Rs 2400/- 2. How do we know that the service person is not giving us another refurbished pump unit. He wasnt carrying a sealed pack, but just another unit kept in his bag. 3. Is a leaking pump too difficult to repair in this day and age where all kinds of leak-proofing compounds (M-Seal etc) are available? Why doesnt Kent consider changing the design in that case? I am in Bangalore.Can Kent RO Systems please advise whether indeed the pump should be replaced?.One more interesting point is that when the complaint I am trying to post on your time line your are not allowing to post.

                      My pump is leaking too. I have been also asked for replacement !! Very costly maintainence.
                      Even I am facing same issue, after 2yrs. Had to change all filter set which costed about 2.5k. now this motor for leak another 2.5k. I think this is planned strategy from Kent to loot our money.
                      I am also facing same issue .We can repair pump by changing head of pump but they are not doing that and
                      asking for replacement of pump .Its completely money loot.

                      My Kent ro is just one n half year old and when I called their mechanic to set TDS, he showed me that pump is leaking..such poor quality ..it's a costly product and pump starts leaking so soon.So, who will rely and buy now when the quality of the product is not durable

                        I HAD PURCHASED A KENT GRAND + ON 13TH MARCH 2014 WHICH WAS INSTALLED ON 15TH MARCH. AFTER TWO MONTHS ITSELF THE FILTER STARTED GIVING PROBLEM. IT WAS 1ST SERVICED BY THE SERVICE CENTRE ( M/S EKTA ELECTRONICS )ON 3RD JUNE 2014 IT WAS 2ND SERVICED BY THE SERVICE CENTRE ( M/S EKTA ELECTRONICS )ON 19 JULY 2014 IT WAS 3RD SERVICED BY THE SERVICE CENTRE ( M/S EKTA ELECTRONICS )ON 4TH SEP 2014 I WAS ALSO FORCED TO PAY RS. 400 ON THAT DAY IT WAS 4TH SERVICED BY THE SERVICE CENTRE ( M/S EKTA ELECTRONICS )ON 25TH SEPTEMBER2014 NOW AGAIN THE FILTER IS NOT WORKING AND AFTER CALLING THE SERVICE CENTRE FROM THE LAST THREE DAYS I AM GETTING NO RESPONSE. SO AFTER BUYING SUCH AN EXPENSIVE FILTER FROM THE COMPANY WHAT’S THE USE. THE FILTER STARTED GIVING TROUBLE TWO MONTHS LATER AND EVERY MONTH I HAD TO COMPLIAN TO THE SERVICE CENTRE FOR SOME OR OTHER PROBLEM.I ALSO HAD TO PAY MONEY DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD.                           I have purchased on RO from Kent, during it guarantee period I had to do lot of complaints which are in the record of the company. The complaints were handled by the company. I had requested to the company that since, the equipment is not working properly, the same may please be replaced. No response from any one from the company. I would request the Forum to please advise the company to see this and consider my complaint. The equipment's guarantee/warranty has been expired now and I have to spend money for each and every time I ask the company for repair. Your help is needed.

Latest example is complaint no.[protected] made on Oct. 29 that system is not working remains unfixed to date despite repeated complaints.As a result, we are exposed to health hazards due to unsafe drinking water. And, I have had to buy mineral water for the last 3 days. Please get the problem rectified immediately and ensure action against people who are spoiling Kent's reputation. Thanks.

                                      Dear Manufacturer For last 3 months the machine is not working properly, TDS increases automatically where as there is no change in inward water supply to the machine, Appx 2 months ago, The service engineer reported damage of membrane & filters and asked to change it, we okayed for the same, and incurred expanses of Rs.3600 / No warranty card of membrane given . Now after a gap of 2 months from change of membrane, we requested to recheck the machine as it was giving TDS of 240 and flowing continuous water from waste pipe even after cut off and switch off, for this visit again charged Rs.300 but problem not resolved, Now Today, the engineer again visited and asked for change of a part for which he charged Rs.295, , , , , , But even than the machine is not functioning properly, with his this visit the machine started a new problem, , , it keeps working even after tank full along with the problem as explained in above para, One thing is clear from the facts that either the service engineers are not capable of providing service or the brand has issues in machines, in both cases Im feeling looted, Request you to take appropriate action to resolve at earliest, regards Vinod Yadav [protected]

                                        We are using Kent-Pearl in last 3 years. Two days back v heared beeb sound and machine was not working.Then called Engineer, he changed RO filters and charged rs.3600. Again the problem is continuing. We have sent mail in [protected]@kent.co.in and told customer care in Chennai.. no response... That Engineer didn't fix the problem correctly...kent toll free number is not working.. What we ll do?? very much of disappointed in this kent service... very very worst ...
