I have a Kent UV Water Purifier (unit Sl. No-KR[protected]. My water Purifier was covered under AMC from 19/07/2010 to 29/07/2011. During the AMC, I had repatedly called up & requested to change the filter candle, but it never happened during the whole AMC of one year, since filter was not available. Now that the AMC has expired, they will cite this as a reason for not changing it. Do I expect this service from KENT during AMC? Please suggest a solution to this problem, at the earliest, else I will have to approach the Consumer Forum.

Dear Mr.Shekhar

This is with reference to telecon with you and sebsquently with Mr.Pritish Kulkarni regarding Kent Maxx water purifier purchase from The Appliances Shoppe, Lower Ground Floor, Nashik City Center, Untwadi, Nashik.

I am facing a problem form the day one i purchase the product.I am not satisfied from the performance of product and services you deliver.Monthly i have to call your service provider to rectify the blockage of system. For your information i had already installed pre filter for smooth operation of system.

From last 3 days i observed overflow of water in the system after plug off.

The service provider visited our place and denied to service further as they are not your authorized partner to deliver the service for KENT from this year 2012.

Kindly let us know that is my mistake, i purchased KENT product.

Do the needful ASAP as i have a small baby who is drinking water from the same.

    Hello,
    It is an effort to make all those people aware of the truth in respect of Kent RO Grand+ (Supposedly Best in KENT) water purifier. I had purchased the product after thorough examination of our water quality by the agent and the assurance thereon that this RO will take care of all impurities and provide us safe drinking water. To start with immediately after purchase of product the TAP broke and was repaired after many days and after charging a good amount. The free service promised after every quarter is done only on repeated calls and that too out of four(04) only three could be achieved. During each service also some or the other things were either made or reported as bad and replaced after paying heavily again and again. This machine malfunctioning for some time now again, beeping,no power,choking,water leaking. On all visits just after completion of a year, they are charging for servicing, visiting charges,repair costs and mostly all things still working in temporary serviceable condition. This is worst example of electronic item I have purchased in my life .Kent RO is almost double in price compared to local ones. I DO NOT EVER INTEND OR SUGGEST TO ANYONE TO BUY THEIR PRODUCTS. SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND MOST IMPORTANT HEALTH. As brought out above by the dealer about purity of water, it was nowhere to be seen because the quality check showed that the water we were actually drinking had a impurity number almost as high as 390-400.
    Also I forgot to add that now my RO is unserviceable again, and for making it serviceable almost all the parts have to be changed on payment basis only and nothing is covered under the warranty. SO A HUGE AMOUNT AND HUGE LOSS> so decided to say goodbye to the KENT and started purchasing bottled water only.

      Had launched a request for servicing of water purifier on 31/08/2011, which request no. given was 288, but since then no one has visited the place yet, in spite of calling at least 10 times, whenever i call in the evening they say that someone will visit next morning or if i call in morning the response is that someone will come that evening. i am forced to drink pakaged bottled water as the filteration is not happening at all.

        1. I have a Kent RO Water Purifier, which is under Annual maintainence Contract with Kent.

        2. I had lodged a complaint with the Kent Call centre vide complaint Number D11138387 on 29 Aug 11 for a torn membrane and requirement of a water pump in the RO because of which the RO is presently unserviceable.

        3. But despite passage of more than 10 days, a written complaint on the grievance column of the company site and many calls to seek timely assistance, all I got is a number of excuses.

        4. You are requested to direct the company to honour its commitment of repairing the RO water purifier within 48 Hours of the complaint. They may also be asked to compensate me for the mineral water bought in the last ten days and for the mental harrassment suffered

          I PURCHASE A KENT WATER PURIFIER, FROM THE THE FIRST DAY IT IS NOT WORKING LIKE THE ITS ADVERTIESMENT SHOWN IN THE TV CHANELS. I COMPPLAINT TO COMPANY BUT NO RESPONE.
          SO I REQUES TO THE PEOPLE WHO THINK TO BUY KENT PRODUCT DONT BUY KENT PRODUCT BECAUSE THERE IS NO AFTER SALES SERVICE OF COMPANY. IF YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY ONLY THEN BUY KENT PRODUCTS.

            I am having Kent UV water purifier for last four years. Every year I am facing problem for the AMC and for the services ,of the same. Every year I get to know the service-dealer is changed . The new dealer asks for HEFTY AMOUNT for AMC . Secondly; they insist on going for On call basis service When contacted to your Regional service manger ( Mr Jaiprakash ) on his phone [protected] ; he also states that our company has not fixed any AMC charges ( even as per models). He also talks HANDS & GLOVES with the distributor/ service dealer. Please let me know what is the comprehensive charges . Is Kent management going to take serious note on this issue because last year also I had communicated thru email & telephonically with the Kent -HO.

            I got the AMC done for my kent ro system on 29.01.2013 (recpt.no.54187).Now on 8.7.2013 the servicing was done.I was charged Rs.3215.00(recpt no.83770). From 22.7.2013 the filter is beeping, for which I lodged a complaint no.725836 on 22.7.2013 with customer care.Nobody has called me or attended to the complaint for last 48 hours.Please look into this complaint immediately as it is very difficult to manage without a water filter.My phone number is [protected]

              Called Kent RO Service as the KEnt RO has stopped working. They say they can service only after two days because of the holidays. If the motto is Purest, healthiest,tastiest water, "Always" is missing from their logo and tantrum of sales pitch?

              Further, no response when you call them at their listed toll free number, and no number listed on their website for their Bangalore office. Do you care for your customers to make it easier for them to reach you? And make sure your "Purest" water is available when customer needs it?

                Dear Sir,

                We bought Kent RO water system a couple of years back in Delhi. Now we have shifted to Hyderabad and staying in Madhapur. We are facing lot of problems with the Kent RO machine. it is giving us one or the other problem. Whenever, we complaint them, a person will come and rectify it and again within 15 days the problem is persisting. The spare parts which they use, is of inferior quality and the technicians come to rectify are also semi-skilled, i believe. Just within a short span of time, we ought to spend nearly rs.1000/- for repairs and maintenance which is not at all acceptable. Please look into the matter and solve the problem once and for all.

                  I Have purchase Kent water purifier before 25 days but i have face a problame .After fill up the 8 liter tank the westege water contenusley flow through out the day .I have complane the local office several time at Golmuri ,Jamshedpur. Ph .no-[protected] they give the complane no.260. after that the person visit my house and check the purifier and told me solve the problame . But at present the problame is same the wastage water are contenusley flow .

                    We are using Kent Excel Water Purifier for the past 5 years. On 12.07.11 we approached Kent through you toll free No.[protected] for a service call. They in turn given Mr. Ramachandran's Mobile No.[protected]. Mr.Ramachandra's advice us to call Phone No.22262224 to request for a Service Call. We have registered a Service Call on 12.07.2011 with VGM Enterprises to rectify the problem we are facing with our Water Purifier.

                    On 14th July, one Mr.Selvam, Service Engineer has attended our call and said some parts needs to be changed, for time being he rectified the problem and said after replacing the necessary spares our problem will be sorted out without any issues. We agreed to the same and request him to do the necessary changes, which he assured in 2 days time and taken Rs.400/- as Service Charges vide Receipt No.426 dated 14.07.2011.

                    As Assured by the Service Engineer, has not turned up after 2 days. We again made several calls to change the necessary parts to rectify the problem. On 22.07.2011 he changes most of the Filters and parts for Rs.3,100/- vide Receipt No.439 dated 22.07.2011 and assured us that there will not be any problem for the next 3 years. From on the next days the purifier is not working, again we started making repeated calls to attend the problem.

                    On 2nd August'2011 they said that the check value has to be replaced to rectify the problem. We agreed to the same and request to change the same and paid Rs.200/- vide Receipt No.561 dated 02.08.2011.

                    That attempt also failed. Again the Purified is not working.

                    Later they diverted the problem to Mr.Ramesh, Service Engineer from KENT to rectify the problem after collecting Rs.3,700/-.

                    On 6th August'2011 Mr. Ramesh, Service Engineer from KENT attend the problem and assured us there will not be any problem in the future.

                    But in vain, that also failed.

                    In spite of paying Rs.3,700/-, which is not necessary at all, still my problem is not rectified.

                    What do you want me to do now?

                    Some suggested to take up this issue to Consumer Forum.

                    We decided to write to you, to rectify the problem else replace the purfier.
                    we are facing the same problem I have uploaded a video on you tube for the same you can comment on it we together can make pressure on the company to replace our defective products.

                      I bought Kent from authorised dealer fo gurgaon as per KENT advertisement in Times of India last month .
                      1. There is water leakeage from tank , i complained to
                      dealer ( this could have been checked during installation ).He said he
                      logged a complaint with KENT , but nobody tunred till date ( now
                      almost 20 days)
                      2. Now This is not even worse , from yesrteday onward this stopped
                      water purification .It is not even a month og purchase .I called
                      custer care they said my data is not yet feeded in your system .It
                      could have been done by delaer , and if not then why you have such
                      unprofession relationship with dealer who is spoiling your brand .

                      Is it the kind of professional behaviour from your company ?
                      Tough they do logged manual 10974 .I asked them to do it on urgency ,
                      but not sure , no one tunred till now.
                      They gave me the number of Gurgaon area supervisor ([protected]) , but
                      this guy said he is not in front of his system and not aware of any
                      such complaint .Later on he said first you fax me the copy of bill ,
                      then only we will entertain me.

                      This is really very bad for me to expect this kind of service from
                      your company .There seems no process anywhere and its all for
                      harassing customer .I have spend good money to question you guys , I
                      am buying water from outside allthough I spend on KENT .

                      Now I doubt even product may be faulty one .

                          I have bought a Kent – RO system from our local dealer- at Salem in Tamil nadu.

                          This model is the latest one RO GRAND+ with the lot of Automatic control options. But I faced no. of complaints within short span of time.

                          1) Within two months, the low pressure cut off switch in the water inlet line got a problem and unit got frequent cut-in and cut out. When the service person checked the same and suspected problem with the switch, he just by-pass the switch and keep the unit in running condition. When I called the Dealer to replace the Switch, he was blindly telling that there may be problem in the inlet pressure/head and he cannot replace the switch. My water tank is located in the 2nd floor and min head available will be more than 8m ( ie., 0.8 bar ) and as per the Kent manual – the Min head/pressure requirement is only 0.3 bar.

                          2) RO – water tank outlet tap/valve handle ( plastic ) got broken. As per the Dealer, we need to replace the full valve at the cost of Rs.250/-. First of all, the valve is working good and no need to replace full set and second the cost of replacement also very high.

                          3) The water tank sealing is not proper which causes ants entering into the tank and making filtered water DIRTY.

                          service is worst and their system is faulty.it keeps on shutting and service person say it is a miner problem.they do not attained complaints and simply misguide the consumers.a new system stops working within first month of purchase and forcing consumers to buy mineral water from market untill great service lords find time to attained your complaints.sorry to put hard earned money in this useless product.

                            Dear Customers,
                            I purchased Kent GOLD storage water purifier and wanted to replace its UF membrane.
                            I called their customer service and they only made me wait for a long and gave a number.
                            When I called that number, nobody responded.
                            I emailed them for replacement o[censored]F membrane but till date no reply from Kent.
                            Kent doesn't provide after sells service..
                            The worst service center I have come across...

                            No response to your queries, complaints and they will only give you wrong numbers who will never solve your problems and further will give you a new number...

                            Never buy any Kent product...


                            Product may be good but what is the meaning i[censored] can’t get it repaired at proper time...

                              Its limit to weight for someone's patience. I have brought kent water UF gravity purifier and within 1 week its UF membrane looking like injection broke. I have made N nos. of calls to Customer care in Delhi, mumbai . Its totaly waste of time.
                              Kent Service is yuuuuuukkkkkkkkkkkk. Guys please dnt go for any kent product. Because i[censored] need any service then there is no one available. I m continuously taking its follw up from last 3 months, but till now there is no reply.

                                I am a qualified Mechanical Engineering graduate with 36 years experience in PHED. I got installed a KENT GRAND MINERAL RO M/C No[protected] in Nov/Dec2006 through dealer of the Co. at Jaipur.Since then the SMPS(Adopter) of this purifier getting frequent failures which I had to get replaced by paying every time high cost of new Co's adopter and high service charges in addition to stopping the water supply. On repeated requests to Company, the competent Company Officers are not attending to find out reasons of such frequent failures and rectify so that at least now on it can be prevented.
                                I am shocked to experience that none of the officers contacted cared to my grievances.The officers namely: Mr Mukesh,Mr Amit Sahay, Mr Vinod K, Mr Deepak Sharma at Jaipur were repeatedly informed of frequent failures and Mr Pranay at NOIDA Head Office informed but my complaint still remains causing me to frequently paying for SMPS and service charges to the dealer which is like action of cheating or carelessness of the Company and I am finding no solution except approaching you.

                                kent grand + mineral RO water purifier — Frequent and repeated breakdown

                                I had installed the water purifier in the month of June,2009.Just after one month,the unit got disordered and since then frequent and different repeated breakdown of the unit is going on.It was informed in written document to the company[KENT RO system ltd.,Noida,Uttar Pradesh} in 26th July,2009 asking for replacement of the unit by a new one.But the company has not responded to request. The dealer frequently attends the breakdown,makes it okay for a few days but again it gets breakdowned.In such a way the dealer will cover up the warranty period of one year and I will be in trouble after the warranty period.Hence,I request you to look into the matter and solve our problem.I expect an early action on this matter.

                                I have installed Kent Water Purifier and very much disappointed by the services Mr. Bafna is offering. For collection of AMC charges they are very puctual but at the time of our issues they dont entertain. Its more than 1 month I had complainedabout overflow problem but no one did turn up and now the smps is gone. They are charging me Rs 950 for the same . Why am I supposed to bear this expense?? Please help me if some one can!!!

                                  I had puchased a Kent Excell RO filter from M/s Durga Marketing, Ludhiana. The filter works fine but the original cartridges (or say filter candles) are not available in the market. I had contacted the company at[protected] with Mr Shekhar also on 19th july, 2011, to which they replied that the excell model is not directly manufactured by KENT, rather they source it from some other company so they do not provide the original kent marked cartridges for this model & so i have to buy whatever cartridge is available in the market (un branded ones).

                                  What an irresponsible behaviour of the company. When they have sold me the filter, its their duty to provide me the original cartridges.

                                      Hello,

                                      I have purchased Kent RO (Big Brand) three months ago.Every month this machine malfunctioning some time beeping,no power,choking,water leaking.This is worst example of electronic item I have purchased in my life .Kent RO is almost double in price compare to local ones .But local ones is much better that Knet RO previously at my home local RO was installed.

                                        WE BOUGHT KENT WATER PURIFIER ON 11 JUNE 2011. THE COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE CAME TO INSTALL IT ON 12 JUNE 2011. THERE WAS AN ALARM SOUND WHEN HE FIXED IT AND HE SAID THAT THE FILTER IS BROKEN.
                                        WE CONTACTED THE CUSTOMER CARE AS WELL AS THE HEAD OF THE CUSTOMER CARE, MR,MATHREJA MORE THAN 5- 10 TIMES DAY BUT THEY HAVE TILL DATE NOT REPLACED THE RO SYSTEM WITH A NEW SYSTEM. THEY SAID THAT WE WILL REPLACE THE ENTIRE SYSTEM AS IT IS MANUFACTURE DEFECT BUT TILL DATE NO ONE HAS COME TO REPLACE IT. NOW THEY ARE SAYING THAT WE WILL REPLACE THE FILTER, BUT THAT ALSO NO ONE HAS COME TO REPLACE. ITS THE COMPANY'S FAULT, WHY SHOULD WE SUFFER??? THEY SHOULD REPLACE THE ENTIRE SYSTEM AND NOT THE FILTER ONLY.PLEASE ADDRESS THE ISSUE. THE SYSTEM NUMBER IS KR[protected] AND WE HAD PURCHASED IT FROM DELHI
