Dear Customer Support Incharge,

Right now i am using lenovo think pad laptop. The same is under warranty and i had a battery (FRU:42T4763) back-up problem, for that i have lodged a complaint (P47408C) and the Lenovo Service Centre (Vijayawada , Andhra .Pradesh , India) has kept my laptop under observation and disclosed a written report that the battery is in worse condition and the battery back-up stands not more than half an hour.

Today they have called saying that Lenovo has rejected the request of battery change which is under warranty saying that "Screen-shot shows battery in good condition".

As a well educated professional you just think, would you believe on a human saying (tested and certified by your service centre) or believe in system's screen shot.

Ultimately the sufferer is the lenovo client ,the person who is talking over the phone may not know the pain and i personally feel that Lenovo has failed to keep up its promise based on a false screen shot shown by the system.

I would request to resolve the matter soon otherwise i will claim damages for the breach of trust.

    I am Rahul Kumar Singh i have purchased the lenovo laptop on[protected] whose Serial Number is ME15848 and model number is 7758 52Q ..and have three years of extended warranty(i am attaching the supporting documents i.e. invoice copy and two years additional warranty documents).Please check the purchase date on invoice .

    Currentlly my laptop is not powering on and it's DVD Writer is not working.When i contacted to lenovo customer support then they told me me that my laptop is out of warranty it's warranty expires on 26-April 2011(Don't know why your customer support people are why saying so.) and told me to email on [protected]@in.ibm.com .prior to this mail i had send a lot of mails in this regard...please check the mail thread that i have mailed earlier.

    Sir tell me one thing if i have have purchased my laptop on 26th of july then how it's expiry date automatically becomes 26th april 2 months before.???????


    Please go through all the attached mail thread that i mailed one year before to make my warranty update on your website.One year before when i used to do lot of mails to lenovo suggested emailid's then it was told to me via phone that my warranty is updated online on your site and also i have got the service from their service center.
    But today when i contacted to lenovo support team they are saying my warranty is expired Don't know why??????????

    Lenovo sopport people had disconnected my call after putting me on hold for more than 20 minutes and without giving any information.SIR we can check the feedback from Lenovo customer support end.....................



    So finally I HAVE ATTACHED THE INVOICE COPY AND EXTENDED WARRANTY DOCUMENTS and LONG LISTING OF EMAILS between ME and LENOVO.
    i AM FED UP WITH LENOVO PROCESS AS IT'S A KIND OF CHEATING LENOVO IS DOING WITH ME.PLEASE RESPOND TO MY MAIL AND SERVICE ME QUICKLY

    The KIND OF SERVICE LENOVO IS GIVING TO ME IS TOTALLY UNFAIR AND INJUSTICE TO ME .

    when i posted this compain and share information about this complain with lenovo .they atonce gave me my warranty.But there is nothing done by consumer court.

      Hi,

      I purchased a Lenovo Ideapad 2 years back. Just after 3 months of purchase Its right hinge screen started breaking apart. It was under warranty then and got repaired. Customer guys told me that though this is not covered under warranty but company is doing it since its a manufacturing defect. And, whole base has been changed so that I wont face this problem in future. But now after 2 years I have got this problem again. I am seriously disappointed with Lenovo as is this what company offer to their customers. If it was company's fault, weren't they supposed to announce it for customer giving them choice if they want to buy faulty product or not. Lenovo customer reps are even admitting to this when we call them, but for this to be fixed the laptop needs to be in warranty. If this is a design issue, shouldn't Lenovo issue a recall and fix it? It is not my fault. I need a proper redressal to my problem and get this problem solved asap.

      There are hundreds of complaints on Lenovo forums from people having exactly the same issue.

      Kindly respond to it promptly as so far the company has been escaping from answering to the problem forwarded by me.

        Hi,
        this is ankireddy.Ipurchased my laptop on 15-july-2010 my bill invoice number is HYD/380. My laptop model name G560 with serial number CBQ2567874. i got a problem in my laptop regarding inches issuee on the date of[protected] so i consulted my nearest Lenovo Service Center (HITECH INFORMATICS PVT Ltd. -Bangalore). on that time the was rectified by the service center after few days i faced another problem in my laptop NO POWER CONDITION. in this regards i consulted again the same serviice center , at that time the concerned persons of csc told that some loose connection and they rectified it.

        After few days again i faced same problem that is NO POWER CONDITION, on that time i was gone to another service center in Bangalore (CADDONS). at that time the engineeris of csc of lenovo said that ' IT IS PURELY MOTHER BOARD PROBLEM" and after they indicated the problem is in LCD DISPLAY. after rectification of this lcd problem again they told me BOTTOM UP is broken. this problem is purely done by the HITECH INFORMATICS SERVICE CENTER-Bangalore only.


        regarding all above problems of my laptop i consulted the CADDONS SERVICE CENTER -Bangalore. repeatedly with regular intervels. but the service center people are not responding properly and all the above problems of my laptop was created by the service center people itself. i raised all above problems in front of the service center people but they are not giving correct response, and thery were responding very Negligence.

        at present i have the following problems in my laptop please respond as soon as possible regarding on this issues.

        my problems are:


        1. SENSOR BORD NOT WORKING
        2. SO MANY SCRACTHES ON MY SCREEN TOP OF THE LAPTOP (PURELY DONE BY THE SERVICE CENTER PEOPLE)
        3. MISPLACED EXPRESS CARD SLOT BY THE CSC PEOPLE
        4. VOLUME BUTTONS AND ONE-KEY THEATER.

            Dear Sir/Madam,

            I am Arunjunai Raja Shankar, a Lenovo Y550 user ( S/N : CBQ0360627 ). I am a student studying in IIT kharagpur.

            I recently had problems with my battery and when I checked with the service centre nearby which is in Kolkata, 150 kms away, they told me that I should change it. So I paid them money and received a battery on 28/2/2011. When I installed the battery in my machine, it was not compatible and the power light goes blinking between red and white, and the battery status said power plugged in but not charging. So I told the same to the service center and they asked to bring it back. Till now, I have wasted three days in traveling to and fro in these three months and wasted my money, and believe me it is not easy to get ticket to travel there.

            Its been three months now and still I've not received my battery in working condition, I am fed up with this.... Every time I go there, they used to they replaced the battery and its a new one. When I check the serial number, its the same... I dunno why are they lying to me... What should I do. ???

            Now the battery is with them, Digital Care center, Sarat Bose road, Kolkata. I had enough, they should escalate this problem or at least refund my money.

              Good to learn that the case is logged and “closed as well” and no one from Lenove even contacted me, forget inspecting the laptop, and it has been declared that the laptop is not coverd under warranty and is physically damaged..

              I Have been a user of Lenove products for past many years and would like to say that I was a very happy and satisfied customer and that is why when I decided to buy a laptop for my Wife, I chose this brand again.

              On 13 May 2011 I had purchased a Lenovo laptop from your lead outlet M/s Jumbo Electronics, Gurgaon, India with the following details :-

              On the 17th of May the laptop LCD cracked, It was on and not being used by her at that time, she was connected to the net thru bluetooth and for 10 minutes had gone to the kitchen and whe she returned the LCD was cracked.
              She was all alone at home and no one was around the laptop to manhandle.

              I was travelling and came back on 20th and we took the laptop to the IBM service centre at Lalkothi Jaipur ( Raj), the engineers and the team headed by Mr.Rajeev were very good in attending us and asked for some time stating that this would come under physical damage and they would need approval.

              Yesterday evening I have received a call (appreciate the prompt services) from the service centre that the laptop cannot be covered under warranty because as per warranty policy it is called physical damage.

              We have been using IBM laptops in the past and my wife was all alone at the house and I am very sure that the laptop has not got damaged physically and certainly had some maufacturing defect. Some one may like reinspect it.

              Can some thing be done on this ?

                I would like to inform you that I purchased an a Lenovo laptop in Nov 2009 from South city , gurgaon. Primarily it was having 1 year warranty period which was provided by company itself. After the warranty period was yet to going over, I received a call from Aforeserve. Com Limited from NOIDA office in November "2010" and they informed me that they will extend my Laptop service warranty for 2 years if I pay Rs. 6500 to them then I could get free service from service centre along with some other benefits which is valid across India for 2 years. They said that they will send a collection agent to my place and will collect the money. Next day i gave the cheque of rs 6500 in favour of aforeserve to your representative at my home in gurgaon.
                The representative told me that I will receive a call and a confirmation kit from the company through the email and also will get hard copy of all the documents via mail. But till now I did not get any email or call and also My service warranty did not extend for 2 years till now.

                In between i was in japan , i gave a call to them from there also and they assured me that it will be updated , when i returned back i saw that my laptop is not working and my brother told me that the customer care is saying that there is no extended warranty on this laptop. Parellely i have mailed the same toconsumer court also with all money transaction details.

                Please help me out , so that this issue doesnt stretch more.

                Lenovo — Warranty not extended

                Hi Sir,

                I purchased a warranty extension plan of 2 years for my lenovo laptop on 08/10/08. I got the warranty extension packet after few days but few of the contents were missing in that package. Because of those missing contents, my warranty has still not been extended. I've talked to the lenovo people a number of times. I've sent them several emails as well. They have been making me run here and there and everytime give me a different number to talk to. But still I have not got any resolution tll now. Please look into this and get some resolution, so that i can get my laptop fixed. This is just harassment and very frustrating also.

                        I have bought Lenovo S10-3c mini laptop from M/s Unique info ways on February 22,2011.Within 1 month o[censored]sage i noticed a hairline crack in the plastic border along with the screen on left side top corner And slowly with the usage that crack potion became prominent and one day the piece came off .I went to the dealer from where i had purchased the system .the salesman there guided me to the service center there in Nehru Place .That Guy told me to talk to CC and register my complaint over phone which i did and after that i have sent the pics of laptop as was told by the cc executive over phone and got the reply via mail that the damage was physical and is not under warranty.But the damaged Body is not the result of any mishandling which i had even shown to the person available at the service center.As per my findings the plastic used in the body was of very poor quality that is why the plastic got crack itself with regular usage whats the use of purchasing this companies product if this is their policy to sell products without providing proper customer support.Please suggest

                          Dear sir,

                          I am facing problem with lenovo service, i just try to explain my
                          problem and want permanent solution.

                          I had complaint in lenovo customer care for my laptop's hing(Open close
                          problem in flap of laptop), they log the complaint and assigned me a
                          complaint number([protected] Dated 28.feb.2011).
                          After that i received a call of Mr Arun from Service center of lenovo,
                          Comnet vision, janak puri. he told me that in ur Laptop model hinges
                          are not covered.
                          After that i informed him that my hinges have already changed in
                          warranty period, but he did not agree.(that time my hinges are ok and
                          its too hard to move)
                          but he did not agree to change it, after a week my left side hing has
                          broken.

                          After that i called to Lenovo customer care[protected] and informed
                          the same they said that we are not covering the physical damage.

                          There are several things to be consider -

                          1. first they are claiming that hings are not covered

                          2. after broken they said that physical damage not covers in warranty.

                          3. hinges are the internal part of laptop, how it goes in physical
                          damage, it will go in manufacturing defect.

                          4.If Hinges are not covered in warranty how can they changed my hings
                          in past.

                          5. One of lenovo representative said that, one year back lenovo service
                          was provided by RT Outsourcing and they had changed ur hinges but now
                          IBM is providing the service and we are not covering the hinges in
                          warranty.

                          6. when i had purchased the warranty extension package for another two
                          years they committed me that except battery all part will be covered.

                          7. I Called several times at Lenovo Customer care and Lenovo Technical
                          support but i did not get any positive response, they only give me a
                          new number or told me to write a mail.

                          8. i want any senior person of lenovo to have a talk me and clarify all
                          my problems and please change my DVD ROM and Hinges as soon as
                          possible.

                                    This is Harmeet Singh Pruthi,I have a problem with my laptop. When I was switching it on, the screen was showing a message "BOOT MGR is missing", and recovery key is also not working.
