1) On 01/09/2010 we purchased lenovo laptop model no G[protected] & sr no-CBQ3459667 from universal computers,dombivali (Thane dist, Mumbai) authorized partner of lenovo
2) Within 2 days we faced the problem of windows getting corrupt. The engineer team o[censored]niversal computers installed fresh installation several times with genuine copy of windows 7 home basic but problem remained same
3) Universal computers logged a complaint on toll free no and registered a complaint for same (complain id is-[protected]) & i myself visited your authorized services center (bluecom technologies pvt ltd) on 23/10/10 and after that they replaced the hard drive & returned it to me on 01/11/10. The service report is attached for your reference.
4) However within a daythe problem again started. This time i again visited Bluecom technologies, and they took the request under the same earlier complaint ref no.[protected]. The issue was again resolved by them and laptop was returned to me within a span of 2-3 days. This time they had not replaced the HDD but through some other methods.
5) But the problem did not stop there. Again the issue cropped up (laptop not booting) within a dayand this time i went to my dealer (universal computers) to find a solution to this. They also tried their best to resolve the issue, but could not succeed. Hence we requested them to raise the concern to lenovo directly to replace the laptop itself.

On the basis of my complaint, finally a complaint was raised to customer care for replacement of the defective laptop under the case id [protected].The entire case details from that day is appended below.

On Nov 20, 2010 we received a mail from Neha Singh, Lenovo customer care (new case id[protected], stating that they are refunding the entire amount to me (though we had requested for replacement and never asked for refund, we were informed that our refund is being processed) and asked me to furnish necessary details

All the necessary details were provided by us on Nov 22, 2010 itself. From that day onwards we have been running from pillar to postfor following up of refund in this case. Though there were several reminders from our end, we only received false promises that the case is pending for approval etc etc....

Later, on Jan 22, 2011 after a span of two months Neha from customer care informed me that they are not providing any refund and would be sending an engineer for checking the laptop again. Though i was not keen to get this done, i still agreed on the condition that in case the issue still crops up, i would be given the entire amount as refund. Though this was verbally agreed, when i received the mail from Neha , i found that there was a condition, which stated that only if the problem arises within one month of the machine getting rectified, would they process my refund. this was something which i completely disagreed.

Would like to bring to your notice that since the day of purchase we have actually not been able to use this even for a week, and rather ended up following up with our dealers, service centres, customer care centres, for refund of our amount during this period of five months.

I have been following up with the service head of lenovo since last one month, however iam yet to receive any reply from their end either.

    Aforeserve Pvt. Ltd. has collected a cheque of rs. 5500/- one and a half year before for on-site extended warranty for 2 yrs. for my Y510 Lenovo laptop. The engineer had given me a receipt then. Now Lenovo is refusing to give service because i do not hav a carepack which Aforeserve should have given me it seems. Aforeverve is now not dealing with Lenovo laptop service is the reply they gave me. Aforeserve has taken up all my money.I complainted so many times to them but they are not paying heed. I need help. PLease help me.

      dear sir,
      i have purchased lenovo G560 laptop on 27/12/2010.
      i have been provided mcaafe antivirus free for 12 moths asper scheme from the company.
      after using net when i scan my comp., every time it ask for restart comp after removing trojans.so i aply restart . after that comp.restarts but 'yahoo' site does not opens everytime i scan process.
      now i remove trojans using another antivirus the so called problem does not occurs.
      that means provided antivirus Mcaafe is not responding very friquiently.

      back up problem from the starting of laptop. the backup is 50 to 60minutes hardly. my touchpad is not working properly.

        i,vikram kumar student of garden city college persuing bbm 3rd year bought my lenovo y510 laptop on 29 july 2008 from sigma infotech, #628/2,11th cross,1st stage indira nagar,bangalore,with invoice number 356.one month after the purchase the touchpad of my laptop stopped working. As i was busy withj my college work i cud'nt vist the customer care soon bt on11.08.09.i visited the lenovo service centre as my laptop was under warranty.they took almost 2months to resolved the issue and handed over by replacing top case of my topcase on 17.08.09 {reciept no.-1381} . apprroximately..two weeks later again touchpad once again stopped working and my top cover of laptop that is screen became very loose as a result of which i cudnt use my laptop without any support from back.As warranty period also ended during that,so,i contacted the customer care for the next procedure to be followed they instead of guiding me always insisted me to pay sum of rupees 5000 to extend my warranty period. As it was manufacturing defect i denied to pay the said amount.I suffered irrepaireable number of loss as many of my project works were delayed that fetched me very less mark in my practicals.I was unaware of the working of consumer forum which i got to know recently.therfore i have come before this Hon'ble consumer Forum for my right as i bought my laptop with lots of difficulties and i took my laptop in installment basis.

        WHEREFORE,it is humbly prayed before the learned judges to
        (i) Direct the said company to either replace my laptop or,
        compensate for the inconvenience and loss caused i.e mental and physical harrasement caused
        (ii) to pass any such order in light of justice and equity.

          I had lodged a complaint regarding dis-functioning of the battery of my laptop on 12th of august from RANCHI. But when I didnot receive any imformation about the battery for the next one week I called the company again . They told me that the battery complaint has been logged for RAIPUR . I made contact with the Lenovo customer care at Raipur . Thay told me that they didnot have any idea about it . But they told me that they would transfer the call for Ranchi . After this I again called the company after a week . This time they told me that my complaint had been cancelled and that I should contact the login department . Since then the login department kept telling me to contact the status department and the status department kept telling to contact the login department . Nobody really knows what to do . I also sent some 6-7 mails regarding the problem but didnot get any reply . The warranty of the battery expired in October . On 3rd Jan 2011 , the complaint was relogged and I was told that it would be logged under warranty only . But they cancelled this call too stating that I should have contacted them earlier . I called them atleast 25-30 times between august and november . So there is no point that I did not contact them . Now they say that once the warranty has expired , they cannot do anything and I have to pay Rs.6000 for a new battery .

            This is Mayur Malviya from Jabalpur. I baught a laptop of lenovo Sr No CBQ3256409 on 16.11.2010 from COMPUTER SHOPEE Russul chowk Jabalpur worth Rs;-34200 /- and after few days laptop is showing "WINDOWS IS NOT GENIUN". After that when i told to the shop owner about this complaint he told me to buy new WINDOWS OS CD. When i invetigate with other dealers about this laptop every buddy told me u have to get OS CD with that system. But that shop owner is not giving me. Please help me and do the needful.

                Hello Sir,

                I am Amit Kumar, I have purchased a laptop
                on[protected], unfortunately about in next 2 days,
                it was being hang.

                So, I contacted to my dealer then dealer formated
                my pc and reloaded all the softwares many times.
                But problem was not solved. Then my laptop is sent
                to any service centre by the dealer on[protected]about
                2 month after the date of purchasing).




                after this till now i am waiting to receive my
                laptop back......and today is[protected] about 1 month
                already passed.

                    I had lodged a complaint with the company about the battery of my laptop which was not working properly and was under warranty then . I lodged the complaint on 12th of August , 2010 . The battery was under warranty till the 2nd of October , 2010 . The complaint was made from Ranchi but they told me that as they did not have any service centre in Ranchi , the complaint would be dealt with in Raipur which was their nearest service centre to Ranchi . I then called their Raipur service centre the next day but the people there had no imformation about the complaint . Sometime after this , I came to know that the complaint has been cancelled . They told me that I had cancelled the complaint but I never did so . After this I called about 20 times between September and December but I never got any satisfactory reply from their side . On 3rd of January I told them my problem and they relogged the complaint and told me that the battery would be replaced under warranty only . But again yesterday I received a call from Lenovo support centre and was told that the battery cannot be replaced as the warranty has expired . They further told me that I should have contacted them earlier . Sir , if you check the call records , you will find that I have called them atleast 20 times if not more . I was also given an email i.d . There also I have forwarded my probem 6-7 times but never got any reply . Now they tell me that nothing can be done . Please help .

                      i have purchased lenovo ideapad y550 having vista x64 bit. my laptop screen has become horrible. the screen is with red blobs. this is the 2nd time the problem is coming. i had gone to service center and had lodged a complaint. they said it will take 15 days to replace the screen. but suddenly within those 15 days the screen again become normal as if no problem was there. so i called them & cancalled the complaint.

                      but again after 3 months the same problem has come. i thought it will again become alright and so waited for 2 months but the problem still persist.

                      this goes horrible while watching a video

                          My brother he’s working in TCS Mumbai and he gave me Lenovo Y710 Laptop as my birthday Gift, He bought it on 4th January 2009 and gave me. Working nicely till November of 2009,
                          One day I found my Laptop screen got a single line on it and immediately I called up Lenovo customer care service regarding my laptop screen damage(Photo uploaded), as on their suggestion I forwarded the scanned copy of bill (for warranty) to [protected]@lenovowarranty.co.in. They filed a case on my problem with reference number L9C2004L, and gave me available customer service centers in Bangalore and told me to contact them regarding the problem and with new reference number L9C200IR.
                          Then I contacted Geekaay Systems, Wilson Garden, Bangalore-560030, regarding the above and I met Mr. Raju (# [protected]) and explained the screen problem on December 4th 2009, he called up customer care with the above reference number L9C200IR, then they agreed with the replacement of the screen with a new reference number L9C200AA. Then they ordered for new screen and told me to wait for few days and later they brought up with an unfit screen on December 8th 2009, which doesn’t suit my laptop and this has been repeated for 5 - 6 times and then I got irritated and warn them severely regarding the problem. Along with the screen problem, on the service they opened the LCD and didn’t fit it as it is, and made TFT layer to protrude out and created a new problem along with some physical damages. As on suggestion by Mr. Raju, I spoke to Mrs. Parimitha Gosh (# [protected]), South Channel Manager, regarding the product replacement, then she suggested me to send pictures regarding the physical damage of my laptop by the service center people (Mr. Raju). Then after they didn’t respond my call or they didn’t contact me.
                          On[protected] I made a last call to Mr. Raju, he told me to wait for 4 more days for giving me update information.

                          From then I’m busy with my Examinations and Project work in Bangalore. from that day I didn't received any call from Lenovo Service Providers regarding the Issue. Now I’m in Hyderabad and I need justice for this. Can anyone tell me what I have to do now to get it solved.

                            Dn't get tensed first of all if paid for genuine operating system then company would provide u the orignal OS, but i[censored] wish to purchase one then directly go to OS manufacturer, and i will suggest you to go for linux based Open source operating system like Ubuntu which u can get for free delievered at ur home by frwrdng ur req at "https://shipit.ubuntu.com" or u can download cd image from "www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu/download" .
                            May b u fnd it inconvnnt in starting but u can find all sftwr for free over website and it is really good.

                                Hereby i facing a crucial problem since 1 week, due to which my projects have hanged off. The problem i am facing is clarified below.

                                When I start my laptop,it shows the power supply to be on, but the display screen don't show anything.Few minutes later three beeps are heard. I have 3yr warranty, so hereby i would like to submit my complaint.

                                  I have to say, i can understand your frustration. I got a company laptop (Lenovo x201). This laptop was bought from Frontier (Bangalore) in May 2010. From the first few day, I had issues with the track pad and touchpad. My company has got onsite service contract for the machine.

                                  The keyboard was replaced after Frontier representative confirm the problem exist. This solved the track pad issue. The touchpad was also replaced. Even after replacing the touchpad, the problem continued. This problem happened intermittently. Frontier on-site representative observed the problem and recommend replacing the motherboard. So, the motherboard was replaced.

                                  This temporarily solves the issue. The same problem started again after 15 day of replacing the motherboard. This time I spoke sternly with Frontier that the problem still persists, so I should be given a new machine. Frontier escalated the issue to IBM. (IBM is service representative of Lenovo). IBM customer support manager dealing with my issue informed me that I have to go through the same steps of diagnosis and part replacement. I told her, I am fine with them trying to understand the problem, but I am no longer interested in part replacement. And if they are going to take the laptop away, I should be given a temporary replacement machine to work on. They didn't agree to this. We mutually agreed that IBM representative would come on-site to look at the problem.

                                  The reason IBM gave was "we do not trust what Frontier have done". IBM representative who came to resolve my issue, observe the problem. He consulted his superior because it was something he has never observed before. He requested me that he would come the next day with firmware to update the system.

                                  Even after the firmware, BIOS and (God know what) everything else was updated, the problem started after about 2 day. This time we insisted on getting a new machine completely. This was way back in August.

                                  Till now the problem has not been resolved. The funny part on this issue was on Wednesday (2 day ago), I got a call from IBM service manager telling me that Lenovo agreed to extend the warrantee by 3 months.

                                  How are they kidding? They are not solving my problem under the original warrantee (with comprehensive on-site service contract) and they are talking about GIFTING me 3 months of warrantee. Today, I have given the laptop back to Frontier. While I was on my way home, IBM and Lenove representatives call me through a conference call. The lady from lenovo tried to sweet talk me into agreeing to put the laptop under observation at their service center. She was simply interested in pushing the matter through without understanding the pain I had gone through. She went on to explain that I have to go through the process I had gone through with Frontier and IBM....What!!! am I hearing things or am I living in a place where customer service is non-existent.

                                  These people are only interested in getting their year-end bonus, NOT in HELPING CUSTOMERS. This is happening for a high-end laptop with comprehensive service contract. I am wondering what these guys would do to laptops that most common people including me (if I am buying my own personal laptop) would buy. This is a question worth asking.

                                  I am going to complain this matter through a consumer court. But what I am interested in is a law that would take matters like this to task. I am feeling harassed relentlessly. Lenovo brand SUCKS.

                                  I had not expressed every details of my ordeal just to present a brief version of what I am currently facing. Please exercise your sound judgment before deciding to purchase a Lenovo machine.

                                        This is to draw your attention towards my experience with your product Lenovo Y series 510. I regret to mention it has been most dissatisfying.
                                        I purchased the device in Apr 09. On the very next day, a defect in the keypad was identified, however this was addressed by the retailer and the replacement was done.
                                        Within 4 months o[censored]sage, the left hinge of the laptop broke and the device became unusable. I approached the authorized service centre for the problem. I was promised a solution in 7 working days. However after repeated follow up with the team, my laptop was repaired in 30 days!!!! This is highly unprofessional.
                                        Lately the screen of the laptop is not working; it has made the device a complete useless box and upon this the retailer and the service centre team was least reluctant to resolve the issue and has misbehaved in a big way.
                                        Somehow, I get back my device after a month period from service centre and to my surprise it was running fine. Unfortunate enough, my trust over the brand started to build up but here comes another bouncer….DEFECT …BOTH THE HINGES BOUNCES OUT FROM THE DEVICE!!!!!!!
                                        “”God…just give me a chance to get hold of these fraud Lenovo guys ……I will screw them big time….”
                                        Somehow I manage to cool down and thought of writing a thesis on this. After my deep research on the product and expert opinion captured from various retailers I came to know that it’s a manufacturing defect…A MANUFACTURING DEFECT in a LENOVO Product….since the weight of the screen is too heavy to be mounted on the loosely coupled base!!!!!!
                                        What???? Retailer has washed away his hand by selling me a Defected Product….
                                        Now, the present situation is that I have a Lenovo Machine just 18 months old having both the Hinges out of order….n Out of Warranty…Should I get back to service centre who will charge heavy bills and blame me for this hardware failure…
                                        Don’t you think it’s a cheat on the part of Lenovo to sell off such a product which inspite of delicate use cannot last for 2 years… forget about the warranty….
                                        Please suggest what I should do now!!!!!!!!
                                        Also clarify me over your repair policy, since service centre team commit 7 days to resolved the bug but inspite of constant reminder they generally takes month time to repair the device, What do you think of the customer….!!!! Don’t we have enough work other than to run after the service centre team? This is not acceptable at any level…..it has been the awful and most dreadful experience I have ever faced with any electronics company.
                                        Big time SORRY!! But to me Lenovo simply does not have any moral values and quality standards, most unethical in their wordings, unreliable product quality and unskilled workforce in service centres.
                                        I purchased the device with anticipation that it will run successfully for 5 years without giving me much trouble…courtesy to LENOVO but it has failed to live up to my expectations!!!!!!

                                        i had bought a lenovo pc worth 40, 000 4-months back.the system soon encountered a problem regarding which i had login a complaint which was not responded in any of the manners.since then i have been trying to login my complaint but as usual there has been no response from company's side.though they say that dont provide service for software problems but all in all be it software or be it hardware problem but company has got nothing to do with their product once it is sold.lenovo ibm, ibm lenovo alot has been heard about these but now i have come to know where exactly they stand in terms of customer satisfaction and how reliable this company is, to be invested in.
                                        almost one and a half years after i have taken extended 2 years warranty, they tell me that they dont have proper documents, then when i scanned the documents and sent them they say that the two departments do not have updated info about it and they are delaying the process because they cannot just update a stupid database. Additionally, their parts are pretty bad, for e.g. i had to get the dvd drive replaced 5 times in 2 years. its the saddest laptop service I have ever seen.

                                        Dear Lenovo,

                                        I have purchased a Lenovo ideapad SLO-2 S/N no. CBQ0163816. I am facing over heating issue for which i registered complaint with
                                        you for which the complaint given to me was [protected] which was on 5th May 2010 but i got call from RT Outsourcing services Ltd on 13th May 2010 stating closure for the case without attending as it was crossing the SLA. I asked them how they can close the case without attending it, they then said to come down to service station with the laptop by the so called Floor Manager Mr. Damodar even though it is under onsite warranty. After lot of argument he agreed to send engineer to collect the laptop & asked me to carry with me.

                                        On the next day 14th May 2010 the engineer Mr.Subhash came to my office and wants to repair the laptop in my office instead of taking with him, which was not possible to give him place in my office again after argument on this as Mr.Damodar on phone as he was asking me to pay the octroi charges for taking the laptop to the service station. After lot of argument it was decided that the engineer Mr.Subhash will come to my residence next day to check the issue.

                                        Engineer Subhash came next day 15th May 2010 to my place & took 2 hours in which he opened the complete laptop & re-fixed it again saying it is not getting over heated & if again problem came then to call again. After that when I tried connecting to internet but i was not able to do it & was not able to see any network connections. I called by ISP provider assuming problem with connectivity but the engineer told that lan drivers are missing & need to check with lenovo for this. I called RT outsorcing office on 17th May 2010 for the drivers issue, Mr.Jaganath told me to download them from Lenovo site, I do downloaded the drivers & run them in my laptop after which i was getting a error which is given in this mail as attachment. I again called the RT Outsourcing office stating the issue they asked me to registered a new case as the old case is closed & cannot be re-opened.

                                        I called up lenovo call centre on 20th May 2010 and stated the whole episode to them & the kind of response getting from the service centre, the customer care executive help me with the email id to register my grievance with lenovo & gave me a new case id no. [protected]. I then immediately called RT outsourcing & give them the case id & asked them to come on the same day as if have taken off to solve this issue but they told they will only come once the case reflects in their system as it takes 4-5 hrs.

                                        As expected nobody turned up on that day. The engineer came on 22nd May 2010 evening 6.30 p.m and after 2 hours he told me that there is a problem with Operating system which i need to take care as they do not handled OS issues, this really made me angry as the OS was with the laptop when i bought it. After that he connected me to Mr.Damodar again who again spoke to me rubishly & was keen on closing the case. I warned him not to close the case or else consequences won't be good. After lot of argument it was decided that they will check the issue as the laptop is under warranty but told me to backup the data only then they will check, when i requested them to take the backup as it was not possible at that time to do, they bluntly refused to help & told me they will call on Monday 24th May 2010. The engineer prepared the service report stating the issue as problem with Bluetooth, when i asked him about this, he told this is what given to him by his office, i refuse to sign on the service report, after confirming with the office the engineer accepted that it was their internal mistake & he wrongly diagnosed the issue & prepared a new service report.

                                        I bought a new hard disk today to take a backup of the system & when i connected to the laptop it is not detecting, I called up the engineer to come tommorrow & check the issue, he said speak to Mr. Damodar. I called up Mr.Damodar he refuse to speak to me & asked me to call tomorrow in business hours, i begged to him to listen to the issue but he said to call in business hours.

                                        I am really very very dejected with the kind of response i got till date. I feel i have done a greatest mistake by buying a lenovo product for getting such a service. I want to launch a complaint against the service centre but where i will be heard. Can I get justice???

                                        Around 4 months after the purchase of my laptop i faced battery charging problem and I booked a complain in this regard.
                                        In my system new battery replaced,new mother board replaced but the problem not resolved.Now when I am trying to contact to servicing center-Vizag they are not responding to me and not telling any solutions about my problem.

                                        I am doctor by profession and using lenovo z580, i had problem in laptop, fan was not working
                                        for which i went to lenovo service center at Hazratganj (tej narayan plaza)
                                        at that time they notice that right side hinge was bit loose, and they mentioned in complain.
                                        today I went to recieve my lap top I found fan was working instead of repair of loose hinge, hinge and lock arround hinge was broken,
                                        for which i ask them, they denied to repair and they keep on blaming me and taken complain slip .and told me to leave their place and do what ever i can
