Dear Sir,
I, Basant Kumar father of policy holder bought LIC's Jeevan Umang from one of LIC agent ( Mr. Subhash Kumar, )for my two sons dtd on 09th March 2021.
Upon receiving the first premium receipt on my whatsup I found on both my and my son's details was wrong. Then I called the agent and asked for the correction.
After sometime he started not answering my call and stop responding to my message also. I told my agent, I don’t wish to continue the policy and want to cancel the policy. please give me my original bond paper and first premium receipt aslo. This I am telling him from last June 2021 month when bond paper wasn’t printed.
He told me once bondpaper will be printed I will inform you and give you all. When I was not given any information and call from the agent, I reached the branch dtd on 21st July 2021 and asked for my bond paper. The SO branch manager ( Mr. Ravi Shankar) told me your bond paper has been already received dtd on 05th july by your agent.
Then On 22nd July I reached the LIC agent house for asking my original bond paper and first premium receipt, He has given me and he made me sign on a personal diary. Then I reached to branch office for cooling off, LIC SO Branch manager (Mr. Ravi Shankar ) told me we can’t cancel this because 15 days is over. This cool off can be done only within 15days after receiving the original bond paper, and You have authorized the agent in your proposal for receiving original bond paper . so I will not cooloff your policy.
Sir In this case I don’t know what to do. Please help me for cooling off my policy.
