Sir/madam,

This is a complaint against mahadiscom regarding my excess electricity bill amount for my flat in nalasopara west. My consumer number is[protected] and biling unit: 4375.

In the month of feb’17 i received an sms from mahavitran for a bill of rs.17000. I was shocked to see such a huge amount bill as the same flat is empty and no one stays there since a year. Pls be noted that i live in mahim and the said flat in nalasopara is empty.

I immediately call up the customer care and inform the same. I even went to nalasopara and reported the same to mahavitran office. I was told to get a video of the meter readings. I did that and gave the video to their officer in the office. The meter reading was just 18. I m enclosing the vdo for reference. When i called up the officer mr sachin next day who takes care of the bill in our area, he assured me that it will be done and i will get a revised bill next month. But nothing has been done.

Now in the month of jul17, i got a bill of rs.30000 and when i checked with him he is asking me to again visit the office and submit the video of the same.

I failed to understand what these mahavitran officer do in their job. Just send the huge bill and collect money from people. I work in office till 9 pm and also have to travel for my work and don't get time to keep visiting the place solving the issues created by these guys.

It would be great if you can help me in this regard. I m ready to provide any further information if required

My meter had been disconnected one month back however after payment it's still not reconnected. Now it's almost 45 days. Useless Shahpur MSEB OFFICERS. MR VISHU & THAKYR MADAM.
what is the status on this complaint. pls reply

    And would like to bring your kind notice that we are facing always high risk of short circuit.
    This isninform you that i m responsible citizen residing at above adress. This is to bring to your kind notice and information that back our house gallery there is big electrical wire which is very much unsafe whilr raining season, it is again and again same wire which is spark in the wire whuch is very dangerous to our area lane.
    Request you to look and instruct your technical department to safe guard and replace whole wire which comes on to main dp of our area.
    I hope that you will consider my letter and take favourable action on it.

      Hi team,

      My name isprashant and i am a resident of kamothe where i have been residing for the past 9 years now. The recent most bill that i received form msedcl was of rs 5190 which is practically impossible due to various reasons
      1) there are only two people residing in the apartment i. E me and my sister.
      2) we leave house at 7:30 in the morning and be around 7 in the evening.
      3) also i think that the msedcl have goofed up something as the previous months bills were rs 2770 which i agree to some extent as there an ac which was operating during the initial days of the month from there is shooter up to almost double it's value.
      Kindly acknowledge this and take an action as to where this loop hole arises die to which we were charges so much.
      I hope some stringent action to be taken by the msedcl team if some one has done if purposely.

        We are experiencing very high amount of fluctuation in our electricity supply since last 2 weeks. As a result there is a high risk of damage to our electronic gadgets which could occur high cost of repair charges or even permanent damage to our electronic goods and electrical items.           Dear sir/madam,
          We are holding msedc consumer number[protected]. On 02.08.2016 we had a complain regarding faulty meter and after dept has install new meter on january 2017. Then they have raise bill 500 per month. Then we have asked the meterman (Reading taker) about the issue, he checked the bill and told us that rna mentioned on bill so u r getting the bill of rs 500/-. Then we had meed dated 28.07.17 at dombivali office (Maharashtra) and ask to concern then personnel gave us a bill amounting rs75430/- (After our enquery). Today on 30.07.17 they have send lineman to cut and remove the meter.
          1) on what basis rs75000/- bill on the spot
          2) faulty meter was changed after so many request.
          3) rna mentioned in bill for so many period and make bill without any proof.
          4) without intimation trying to cut the connection.

            Dear sir,

            Our society - consumer no.[protected] / 4601 wadia sub. Div

            Sir,

            Our society has received excessive billing for the last 2 months; this is common to the society electrical fittings.

            Our unit consumption for june - 956 units and july - 964 units are approx. 50% higher than the previous months / years.

            There is no change in the electrical or any other loads in our society.

            Pls look into this and correct asap

              Dear sir,

              Consumer no.:[protected]; billing unit: 4595 - akurdi sub. Dn.

              I am not staying in this flat nor are there any light fittings or any other electrical fittings.

              Hence, there is no unit consumption. This is reflected in all the history view billings, since july 2016.

              Now suddenly, for may and june 2017, i see unit consumption as 160 and the bills show meter status as faulty. The meter status is active. How ever, as no one stays there, and there are no electrical fittings, there is no consumption.

              Request, pls correct the wrong billing of may and june 2017 and provide the correct bills.

                I am getting around rs 2000 electricity bill for the last two months. I think there is some problem with the meter. I am staying alone and use fan and light only at night. The entire day i stay in office. Even on weekends i mostly stay outside. Electricity unit is around 200 every month which is more as per my consumption. Plz look into the matter.

                  I have received my electric bill for rs. 11790.00 for a period of 2 months.

                  The bill appears to be inflated, as i know for certain that our consumption electricity is not so high as to warrant such a high bill

                    I am vipin, i rented this flat. I am receiving high electricity bill against my electricity usage.

                    Bill month consumption (Units) status bill amount
                    Jun 2017 71 live 820.00 (Not paid)
                    May 2017 96 live 890.00 (Paid)

                    I have paid may bill, but again this time. I again receive high bill. I only use a fridge (24*7) and 1 fan (24*7), mostly electricity is not there. Please check and let me know.

                      I paid my electricuty bill for consumer number[protected] on 20th july 2017 of rs 1570 n with charges 1735.25 ising bhim upi application. Which a succesful payment transfferrd to... [protected]@icici

                      Today's date is 28th july but still that payment is not updated on their web.

                      According to bank and bhim application support it is siccessful transaction

                          I deposited rs 87276/- on 28.09.2013 receipt no 5445545 as demand note application no 4258466 dated 26.8.2013 for industrial lt connection in the name of govind cold storage prop.                             I am getting very high bill since jan-2017
                            My consumer number is[protected]. I have submitted / shared current reading in written to the concerned office every time and still getting high bill with incorrect reading as 2054.
                            I got message from mseb to upload meter image on mobile app. But system does not allow me as current reading in the system is 2054 however actual reading is 1249 which is less and hence app shows me error that invalid reading.
                            Every month i have to visit mseb office and correct the bill. Why not mseb updating details in system which i submit every time?
                            Please help me to sort out this issue.

                              Electricity meter no.[protected] for the above connection (No.[protected] is not working since october 2016. I have been getting average bills since november 2016.
                              Despite my follow-up with mahadiscom office at panvel and submission of written complaint on february 2017 (Copy attached), no action has been taken and billing for average monthly consumption of 260 units are being issued, which is much higher than my normal consumption.
                              I fail to understand when mahadiscom is aware of the faulty status of the meter (It is mentioned in every electricity bill), why a customer has to run from pillar to post for its replacement?
                              Request you to kindly take note of this complaint and arrange for replacement of the faulty meter at the earliest.

                                We ae getting a bill amount of more than ~2500 per montha dn we don't even stay in the flat most of the time.

                                Hi,

                                From last 10 days we are daily facing power supply cut problem in Riverwood park Khidkali Thane 421201 .
                                No one is picking up phone on toll free no proper response from Mseb. It's been very hard for us to survive. How the same problam occurs again and again . We want perpemant fix for this . Please support .

                                  The meter reading for the month of may 2017 was recorded 41019. During month of june 17 the meter reading could not be recorded as i was not at home. But on average basis 262 units were billed and paid online. On 13.7.2017 meter reading was recorded 41375 and a consumption of[protected] =356 units was billed. The b ill has been paid. 356 units is consumption for two months june and july 2017 and out of this 262 units have already been billed and paid in june 2017 bill. Remaining 356-262= 94 units should have been billed in july 2017 bill instead all 356 units have been billed in july 2017.
                                  It is requested the excess bill charged should be refunded and adjusted in the next billing cycle.

                                    Every month meter reading is taken between 27th to 30th of the month. However this month meter reading is recorded on 19th.. It means this month we wiil be paying for about three weeks and next month it will be for five weeks thus there will be great loss on higher slab showing five weeks consumption then slight gain on lower slab showing three weeks consumption.
                                    Since you are charging on various slabs based consumption, the meter reading
                                    Should be on a fixed date which is convenient to you
                                    In case you missed the date then your billing slab should be averaged out for about four weeks.

                                      this time the total consuming unit has wrongly putted in bill. As per meter-box reading of this bill (i.e. 3855 units)and last bill (i. e. 3820 units) the total consumption is 35 units and bill has made on 186 units.

                                      As per enclosed bill from November-2016 to till date there is no change in total consumption of electric and i.e. 186 units.

                                      without using AC, Geyser and other high voltage items how the bill is coming this much that is really strange for undersigned as we entered in this house/flat from 1st may 2017 in rent. Before that I haven't face this type of billing issues in other buildings in Moraj Riverside Park.

                                      Please send a revise bill with correction and also please inform me how much should I pay for this June - July '2017 bill.
