Subject- delivery of defective vehicle
I chinki gutam was an aspiring customer of mahindra xuv500. My dreams were broken when the reality came in.
On 5/3/2016, i chinki gautam booked xuv 500 w8 (2.2) model at koncept mahindra showroom in lajpat nagar. I paid booking amount of rs 20, 000 through cheque.
On 8/3/2016 i paid whole amount of the car i.E approx. 14.5lacs as decided to the koncept mahindra through obc bank d.D. Billing was done on 8/3/2016.
On 10/3/2016 vehicle was delivered around 5 pm. During the period between 5th march & 9th march i was in continuous conversation with siddarth (Sales executive), being a customer i reminded him many times to get vehicle checked as it was parked from last 3 months. He said that it’s our call & responsibility to get it checked before delivery. You don’t have to worry.
Once the car was delivered & we just reached 1km far from the showroom, we realized that the middel row ac was not working & also there was sound in ac. We came back only after 5mins to the showroom after the delivery of the vehicle for getting it checked. 3 person came in siddarth ashok & some other guy to check the ac & accepted that there was a problem with the ac. At that time siddarth tried to convince that it was not a major issue. It can be solved anyday.
Later after driving for more 20 km’s a humming sound started coming in from the front side perhaps from the engine or suspension. Ac also started making whistle kind of sound which was very disturbing & was loud at point of time.
Reminding you again it was not even 2 hours that i started experiencing the default in the vehicle. Next day morning i.E 11/3/2016 i called siddarth around 11am regarding the problem, than i came to service station of koncept mahindra near badarpur.
After 2 test drive of the same vehicle checked by technicians i was not satisfied as the problem remained the same but still the technicians were trying to convince me that these sounds were normal & are common in all other xuv models. I had to insist to check other xuv parked there & in that xuv i didn’t experience any other sound or the problems i have faced in the xuv delivered to me.
They changed axle of my car to remove front humming sound. They opened the whole car from inside. Still the technicians were not able to figure out the problems. I paid almost 15 lacs on 10/3/2016 around 5pm & on 11/3/2016 at 1pm disappointedly i was at the service station & was getting new axle in the car & still the problem of ac was not detected. I hardly completed 50kms.
Manager mr gaurav shared with me that the model delivered to me have gone through the inspection test on 7/3/2016, it was clear from his statement that how carelessly mahindra technicians have done the test & sold the defective vehicle.
From above stated statement i personally feel that everyone was involved from the sales executive to the manager & other staff, everyone was involved in planning of selling a defective car. I have been trapped & it is the clear case of “fraud” or “420” & koncept mahindra cheated me by selling this defective vehicle.
If koncept mahindra staff would have been sincere in checking the car before delivery i would not have suffered from emotional, physical & financial loss. I have been mentally tortured.
I would like to bring this in your kind notice that i understand if the car would have completed at least 1000 or 2000 kms & than i would have experienced some problem it was acceptable that the technical error have been arise, & that part didn’t completed its expected life cycle.
But in my case it was not like that. The vehicle was never used & without using the vehicle’s parts were defective. The vehicle couldn’t able complete 200kms & was not able survive even for 12 hours on road after delivery.
Note: if we use any technical product & during the course of its usage or running, if it gets failed that we can say that it’s technical error or failure of the product or part.
In this case product was not used at all, it was faulty or failure without any usage. It’s was from back end & there was manufacturing defect or testing failure from mahindra’s end or dealer end.
Mahindra should check & test the product than delivery should be done. After taking delivery i was the one who is telling the problems in car without even using it for 10 mins.
You should solve the issue at your own cost after testing the product, not at customer cost after delivering the vehicle. Above all vehicle was not used, it was manufactured wrong which we called manufacturing defect not the fault or error which comes in course o[censored]sing it.
I feel cheated by the dealer koncept automobiles & will not tolerate the loss of mental peace & financial loss of 15lacs. I request you to refund my money back as i no more trust mahindra & its product.
