I would like to register a formal complaint against Makemytrip for not intimating me the change of timing for my flight IX-544 from DXB to Trivandrum from 7 AM to 8.45 Pm, April 29, 2023. I did not receive any intimation for the change of flight from Makemytrip and reached the airport for check in at 5 AM on the 23rd. I was told by Air India staff that the change of timing was intimated to all third parties on March 22, 2023. I have also registered my complaint with the staff in Dubai, who have added my complaint, and noted the time of my arrival on the booking reference sheet. Moreover, they issued me the document with the new PNR, which was different from the one that Makemytrip gave me. It was Makemytrip's responsibility to have informed this change to me as I have booked it via them.
Just to give some context, because of the lack of communication on the part of Makemytrip, I was able to complete online check-in for the same PNR on April 28th. I am attaching the screenshot below. The wait caused me immense inconvenience as I had a meeting that I was supposed to attend at 7.30 PM IST in Trivandrum on the 29th, and a later flight did not help me as I could not attend the meeting since I arrived only on April 30th by 2.25 AM. If I had arrived by 12.40 PM, I could have attended my meeting. Booking a ticket doesn't mean that the third party can put me in a different flight without intimating me as it is a clear violation of the rights that I have as a passenger.
I request that this be looked into so that this doesn't happen in the future, and I need to file a claim for the loss of time and money that was caused as a result of this.
