We had booked tickets for travel to male from mumbai during april 1st week which got cancelled due to the covid lockdown.
While the airlines had initiated the refund long back, mmt chose to sit on it till customer action was initiated which in itself is unethical and basically a way of earning from the interest.
Besides, once the refund is initiated there are varying refund amounts appearing at different places and the actual amount refunded being much less than what is applicable.
The total amount paid to mmt for the booking was rs 49, 516/- as shown in ticket below. However, as of now only rs 44, 900 /- has been refunded while there is no sign of the balance rs 4, 616/-. Also, the amount is different on the website and on the email break-up received.
Also, there is no direct line to customer support to get an explanation of this weird payment mechanism and calculation. These are very unfair and opaque business practices and should not be encouraged and such corporations should be penalized
Resolve at the earliest.
