My flight got rescheduled by the airline indigo due to lockdown to 2nd april, and the fare difference is supposed to be refunded back to me by makemytrip. I keep sending mails but i still haven't got a refund or resolution. Their customer care is unreachable and i get automated replies whenever i try to mail them my issue. I believe mmt is trying to defraud passengers during these tough times by stopping all customer support. Need help.

    Hi team,

    Due to covid-19 situation i had cancelled my booking mar 21st and i was informed within 7-10 days i should get the full refund however it has been more the 15 days still i haven't receive refund, this is very pathetic and disrespectful because all the stores are closed food and vegetable are high rate and not getting salary on time, this time most of the people need money to survive, so we expect people should understand the situation and refund the amount as quickly as they can, as i got the confirmation from airline they had refunded the full amount from their end, now it is mmt who is actually holding my money i would request kindly do the needful...

      I had booking form your agent for by indigo for 31starch my booking id is nn[protected].
      In which i just completed travel on 21st march blr to ktm
      Nd my other for 31 st has been cancelled by indigo airlines and they initiate the refund process and put my refund on credit shell but now concern sence i made booking for your agent that refund i would have used it for my future booking through you. But i had seen non transperancy about my booking no refund on my make trip a/c so i can use it for future booking. Indigo has done there part but it's pending from your end. Please update and let me do another booking throuh you

        I am a regular custome of make my trip and i paid rs 1499 and took a 1 yr membership valid till sept 2020 which covers 2 free airline cancellations and 2 hotel cancellations out of which 1 airline cancellation has been used and the other 1 is balance apart from 2 hotel cancellations so in all 3 are balance now i booked a ticket around nov 2019 for may 12 th 2020 from mumbai to bangalore and return on 21 st may 2020 where in i paid 5377 cash and now when i wnt to canel this due to this corona scare these mmt people are saying that i wnt get my money back whats my fault where in i am covered under mmt black and i have the pic also i have mailed them and also sent text messages and also done calls but no reply in the site it say no refund its cheating now i wll lodge a case of fraud on mmt, now i wnt u to take a serious and urgent action on this and give me a compenstation of rs 50000 as harrassment by mmt if not i will give this to the media i wnt my money and free benefits back u can call me on [protected] or mail me on [protected]@yahoo.com this is from where i have done the mmt booking so pls revert now, i hope u will do the needful now

        i am fed up with MMT as no one is neither calling me nor am i getting any messages stating my refund is this a right approach for people who pay 6 months in advance and even when they are eligilbe for a zero cancellation and full refund of air travel i wnt a answer and my money now

          This has reference to the international travel booking done on 2nd feb 2020 through makemytrip with following details:

          Booking details are as under:
          Travel date from to flt no. Airline
          18th aprill'20 del yyz ac-53 air canada
          02nd may' 20 yyz lhr lh-6583 luftansa
          09th may'20 lhr muc lh-2485 luftansa
          09th may'20 muc del lh-762 luftansa

          Air canada is providing the full refund, but since our tickets are booked through mmt we are getting the cancellation vharges.
          Through sms dated 26th march'20, received from mmt that above mentioned booking id dlights has been impacted due to unknown reasons. Mmt team will get in touch with us soon in this regard. However, thill date (After 10 days) no mmt team member has contacted us in this regard.

          On air canada web sight, there is no flight shown in april'20 month between delhi and toronto due to pandemic covid-19.in such situation, instead of making air ticket open, we intend to cancel out ticket and request to refund the entire amount paid i. E. Rs. 94696 + rs 102918 = rs. 197614 /- while doing the booking through mmt.

          Mmt is requested to revert back quickly on our mail.

            Regarding air flight tikit on 16th april 2020, booked via make my trip, when i booked a tikit, their are select option zero cancalation charge, however when i cancle the air tikit, their are show only rs.1981, so as gove guideline their are lockdown till 14th april and my tikit booking is 16th april, the zero cancallation benifits are suspended for all extisiting bookings, show on mmt site,
            So kindly send me refund amount or send me tikit amount value in make my trip wallet

              I had cancelled a International ticket against my booking reference no NN[protected] on 24th March 2020. I have not got any feedback on when I can get my refund. On the app, it keeps showing status as refund to be processed.

                I am having a hard time claiming a refund for a flight that was cancelled by the airline itself. Your customer support has closed the ticket without any resolution. Request your urgent support makemytrip luftansa. The flight was scheduled for 7 april. Show successful but regarding booking - in1b[protected]. Flight changed returnn my money i issue for claim but no resolution if my problem no solve i do legal action

                  My name is pravin gaikwad. On 9th december, 2019, i made a flight booking from mumbai to canada scheduled on 25th of march 2020 with make my trip website.
                  Due to the corona outbreak there was a travel ban in canada announced by justin trudeau, we had to cancel our flights.

                    The recent email from make my trip had my refund processed after more deductions. And instead of INR 39389 /- as promised for refund, only INR 31000/- has been processed.

                      Booked a flight ticket from kolkata to singapore, flight was non operational even i raised a request for refund detail is below. I keep on calling singapore support center but they are saying check your refund online status which still showing you will be contacted within 10 days but its more than 20 days.

                      There is no update on refund.

                      Dear uzma ali,

                      This is to confirm that we have received an offline cancellation request for makemytrip booking id nn[protected]. Since the request is with reason "flight non operational", the same needs to be confirmed with the airline for getting the exact refund amount.

                      Once the request is successfully validated with the airline, the refund will be processed in 7-10 working days. Any e-coupon, cashback etc will be adjusted in the refund amount. Travel insurance, if purchased, is non-refundable.

                      In case airline denies any such request, there will be no refund.

                      We look forward to assisting you again!

                        This is in regards to our booking for thaliand in the month of april for which we had booked tickets through makemytrip. Due to corona virus spread & its effects - we would like to cancel this trip as we would not like to take a risk with our 6 years old son. Kindly understand & consider our request as we came to know from the airline that our tickets are non-ref. If we had known the clause of non-ref, we would have not purchased it at all while at the time of booking the fare rules said "airline penalty will apply" which certainly does not mean the tickets are non-ref.

                        I have been trying to get in touch with your call centre from last few days but the numbers are constantly busy. I then called up the airline directly & have found that they are offering full refund & waivers to the tickets issued on their airline. But the refund procedure has to go through the issuing agent only which is mmt. Therefore, we would request you to kindly process refund for our tickets.

                            Hi,
                            This is for the Booking ID - NF[protected]. "(11=Apr-2020 Journey Date)
                            I had cancelled the ticket in Indigo airlines site and full amount as refunded to Makemytrip as they rescheduled my flight, But Makemytrip hasn't refunded the money to my card. Nobody responds to email and you can't reach customer care voice support.

                            Please help if anyone is listening.

                            Not a single online option for cancellation/refund works in Makemytrip, I was trying for last 2 weeks, sent multiple emails nobody cares to respond. It is Rs. 24k(approx) attaching the confirmation from Indigo about the transfer of amount to makemytrip.

                              Hi,
                              I had booked two flights from makemytrip on 11th march, 2020. The flights were the following - 1) indigo airlines 6e-5379, ccu-bom (Pnr no plnl9q), scheduled departure on 26.3.2020 and 2) air asia i5-317, bom-ccu (Pnr no oz6ess), scheduled departure on 31.3.2020. The mmt booking id is nf[protected].
                              Due to the covid-19 outbreak and the nationwide lockdown announced from 25th march, 2020, i had cancelled the ccu-bom indigo airlines flight through a link provided by the airlines itself via email. I had received an email from indigo airlines confirming the cancellation and assurance of a refund of the entire ticket amount. (Pfa screenshots of the mail from indigo[a])
                              My flight from bom to ccu got cancelled by air asia on 25.3.2020. I have attached a screenshot of the same. [b].
                              However, i am not being able to complete the cancellation process and claim a refund via the mmt website. It's weird that the website is showing both the indigo airlines 6e-5379, ccu-bom and air asia i5-317, bom-ccu flights in the booking completed section instead of the cancelled section. Since none of the flights ever took off owing to the pandemic, and since the air asia flight was cancelled by the airlines itself, i am eligible for a refund. However, i have been trying incessantly for the past six days to raise a claim for refund on the mmt website but have been unsuccessful so far. Every time i am clicking, raise a claim, it is showing of the cancelled flights as trips completed. Screenshots attached [c+d+e]. For the first few days i was seeing an option called 'cancelled by airlines, ' but every time i was clicking on it, the link failed and i got a technical glitch message. For the last two days i am not seeing the option only.
                              I have also tried the chat with ava option on the air asia website to claim a refund, but i am experiencing similar link failure issues because of the huge online traffic right now. The helpline numbers are aalso not available right now.
                              I am really at wit's end. I was going to mumbai for a job interview, which has been postponed indefinitely. If it does happen again also, i do not have the money to buy tickets and attend it if i do not get a refund. I am in absolute need of the money.
                              Here's hoping that you will understand the urgency of the situation and will kindly help me out accordingly.

                                Hi, i made international flight booking through mmt for delhi-bankok-delhi for 19/03/2020 to 24/03/2020, however i got text flight got cancelled due to covid-19 on28/02/2020 and they gave option for refund. I raise request for refund. It is already been over a month and i contacted nokscoot airlines directly as mmt suggested me to do that. They replied me that they have already refunded the amount to mmt. But mmt is not refunding the money to me. My noksccot airline booking reference are e97ryw and ze6rfk and mmt booking reference number is nn[protected]. Kindly help me in getting my refund.

                                  I am not being refunded against my flight booking no nn[protected] from kolkata to hong kong to regina, canada on 31.05.20. The flights have been cancelled by airlines and after 20 days too, have not received any intimation from mmt team as they are unreachable and do not care to intimate date of refund/remittance back.

                                  This is extremely pathetic as i cannot rebook my flights ad 1 more ticket is due to be cancelled as it has already been impacted due to covid 19 pandemic and these people think that customers are there to suffer and shell out more money.

                                  I need your support and intimation from these irresponsible people or what terminology suits them, to intimate date of refund immediately.

                                    I've booked flight for my brother mr. Shikhar shrivastava on 23rd mar'20 from chennai to lucknow via bangalore & delhi. Travel date was 24th mar'20. However, initially flight was delayed and later it has been announced that flight (Air asia - i52380 chennai - bangalore) shall not be operated on said date. It was complete harassment of the customer. And, because of that his flight from bangalore to delhi and delhi to lucknow got missed.

                                    I've requested make my trip team to look in to this matter and initiate my refund asap. However, no action taken by them.
                                    Requesting you to pls help me in getting my hard earned money back.

                                    Have Dropped email to Air Asia Team as well - They have initiated the refund process. Below is the communication email from them. And I'm attaching screen-shot as well. Total harassment from Make my trip.

                                      We are regular mmt user and had booked international singapore airlines via. Mmt to travel from mumbai to auckland for 2 travellers for date 20th march 2020.
                                      Because of border closures by nz government and risk of covid-19 we could not travel and hence tried processing requests for our flight cancellations prior to our travel date. As per amendment policy of airline and mmt we tried for cancellation with 100% rebooking claim. We tried all possible ways to contact mmt but they did not respond. We called them waiting for hours but they deliberately did not respond. We tried mobile app and website support too for claiming same/cancel/change date. It always failed to accept our request. This is a fraud.
                                      They had special option for claims due to covid-19, but it never worked.
                                      We have attached some of responses we received while trying this.
                                      After trying for many days our request is not processed. The flight cost us around 1lac inr. We were not expecting 100% refund but atleast expecting 100% rebooking which is mentioned in mmt and airline policy.                                         This is to makemytrip
                                        I have been trying to get in touch with makemytrip but no one can help me. Due to the corona virus i need to cancel my international flight bookings but no executive from makemytrip can help me.
                                        When it comes to take bookigs all executives help... But when it comes to cancel bookings no one seems to know anything from their team.
                                        They send an autogenerated mail and sent me a link to chat with some myra who seems like a robot.
                                        We understand due to the virus they are shortstaffed but all their grievances and mails to be sent to them are all fake..

                                        MakeMyTrip India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
                                        This same happened to us too. Have submitted complaint on this forum if that could help us hopefully. Did not receive any notification for the special refund claim too after we clicked on submitting it to approval. We were supposed to get rebooking option as per airline policy. We tried many times to call MMT but they aren’t receiving calls since ages and the bot only gives information of whatever info we have in our profile or their help/support but no resolution to this. Cancellation/date change option also doesnt work it shows loading and then Just a plain blank page. Please give review to our complaint as well if rating could highlight complaint and hopefully MMT will provide some justice!!
