1) i made a holiday booking to greece sometime in the end of jan through make my trip india (Mmt) in1b[protected].
2) once covid-19 broke out, i wrote to mmt on 13th march and asked for a refund. The person who did the booking and who has been my point of contact throughout this distasteful experience has been assuring me that the cancellations team will get in touch with me soon but so far no one has got in touch with me. I have sent this person, ms s. J. (Not giving her full name to protect her identity) from mmt around 12 follow-up mails since my request for cancellation.
3) the airline on which i am booked keeps sending me reminders which means they have still not cancelled my airline ticket. I had informed well in advance so that the cancellation charges are minimal but if the airline ticket is still not cancelled then it means i will get hardly any refund as my travel date is only 15 days from now.
4) i am realizing mmt has no intention to resolve my issue so now looking at alternate consumer forums to see how this can be resolved. I am sure there are other consumers who are being given the same run around by make my trip.

Can make my trip or anyone else guide me on how can i get mmt to pay me my refund.

Its been 5 days since I posted this complaint. I have not heard back from MMT. Neither my mails to Ms Shrusti of MMT getting answered. Is there any other remedy available to me?

    This is reg pnr/booking ref.: lhebvc/booking id - nf[protected]
    Flight from gorakhpur to delhi on 30 march 2020 but the flight cancelled for all travellers due to covid.
    It was declare on 20 march 2020 that domestic flights will not operate from 25 march 2020 to 14 april 2020 by govt on india so we have to cancel the ticket.

    Due to non operation of flights airlines have to refund full amount but i got the refund for only rs 81
    I have mailed several times to indi go and make my trip that you are requested to refund the full amount against the booking cancelled.

    I have tried to solve my query through make my trip chat in my trips but could not found any solution.
    Please to inform you that now the directions have given to all airlines to return full amount for the flights 25 march to 14 april 2020,
    As my booking was for 30 march 2020 you did not charge cancellation fees.
    Please take this matter on urgent basis

      #make my trip has not fulfilled the commitment under mmt double black scheme
      It is not fair. I was supposed to get the full amount. They had earlier mentioned that it will be refunded rs 26518.0 in full but after several mails they paid rs 12186 app 50 % of the total amount. How can they change the amount already mentioned in the refund process. Also they mentioned that it will be credited in two days in the wallet and 08 to 10 days to the credit card. But they had credited after 13 days in the wallet only.

        We, mr. Khaidem niladhaja singh and huidrom premchand singh booked a flight ticket of indigo for 31st march2020 from delhi to imphal through makemytrip.com. Due to corvid 19 we are not able to travel. Later mr premchand want to travel on 16th april20, so we separated the ticket through indigo webpage, still he is not able to travel. But the price was 6717rs per person later when mr premchand rebooked it was 4718rs only which left rs.1999/- to the airlines. Now we all want to rebooked the flight for 4th may 2020, so we contact the airline which is indigo. They informed that all credit has been uploaded to the agent which is makemytrip and the remaining rs1999/- was also refundto them. Now i received only 4717rs as credit voucher from the makemytrip.com and the rest i haven't received yet. The first pnr number was em6p7n and later splited into em6p7n and mql65b. Now i am not able to booked my ticket and the fare price is also skyrocking. Still there is no refund of 1999rs and credit of 6717rs. I have send numerous message through facebooked since there is no telephonic contact and still no reply.

        Still there is no refund and credit update. The airline claimed that they have already send to mmakemytrip.com long time back almost 1month. Such an irresponsible from the agency make us not able to use our credits and left us no choice that we have to booked a fresh booking, so make us spend double. By doing so our credit shell become useless to us now and there is no guarantee that we will travel in near future. If possible I would like to take further step even might be in court.

          Two Individual flight tickets from Bangalore to Bali via Kuala lumpur was cancelled by the airlines on March 23rd and I have immediately raised a cancellation on Make my trip the same day, till date no one has contacted us for offering our refund. Total 70000 amount is stuck with them and there is no way we can contact them.

            Hi, i am vishal raval and i have booked ahmedabad-chandigarh-ahmedabad flight vide booking id nf[protected] which was scheduled on 22nd may and 31st may 2020. Further, i am also having double black membership of mmt.

            While cancelling the flight, i was shown full refund amount (Inr 7361) as i was double black member of mmt and after cancelling the flights, i also got the message that full refund amount of rs 7361 is processed (Screen shot attached). But to my surprise, the actual refund i got was only rs 1489 (Screen shot attached) against full refund amount of rs 7361. Had i known that i am not going to get full amount, i would not have cancelled the tickets.

            Requesting mmt to refund my full amount at the earliest.

              I had a flight booking no IDNF[protected] using your service with Indigo. But the flight was cancelled. I received email from Indigo on the journey date 24th March itself. So I processes for cancellation and they sent me email mentioning that the amount is refunded immediately to my agent that is you(makemyrip). But still I didn't received my money back. I raised that in so many ways but nothing works yet.

                I had bookings through make my trip with emirates and due to covid-19 the international flights got cancelled by the airlines automatically but whereas emirates is issuing open tickets which could be rescheduled anytime during 24 months of date of original booking without paying any change it fare difference but mmt is insisting on fare difference to be paid at the time of rescheduling although no change fee penalty. Since the rescheduling can be done for the same airlines for the same destination or region the policy followed by make my trip is unfair and no additional fare differences should be payable by travellers at the time of rescheduling through the agent as well but mmt won’t budge. It has made its own unfair prejudicial policy since it knows that fares would rise tremendously after the lockdown is over.
                I would like the government to intervene and compel the travel agents to go by the respective airlines policies instead of their own whimsical policies.
                This matter requires urgent attention by the government, mmt and emirates as well to intervene and have a standard policy for all otherwise who would ever like to book through agents and lose money unnecessarily. Mmt says it is following emirates policies but i don’t agree to it since the emirates website makes everything clear but requests travellers to route the request for open tickets through the travel agents.
                Kindly take action instantly.

                Today again fresh updates by emirates that reschuding of flights cancelled due to covid-19 and lockdowns to be done without any penalty and fare difference payment but MMT is showing as rescheduling can be done with fare difference payment

                MMT supervisor called up to say sorry for the mid information given by Sumit for rescheduling at a future date and confirmed that no fare difference would be charged for the same destination and route for bookings made due to covid -19 Flights cancellations

                  On 29/2/2020, i had booked through make my trip, two tickets of indigo airlines for to and fro flight of port blair from new delhi in the name of myself and my wife as detailed hereunder :

                  Full amount of rs.38, 822/- was paid in this regard on 29/2/2020 through make my trip and confirmed tickets were also issued to us. A copy of tickets is being en-closed herewith.

                  Sir, as you know due to outbreak of covid-19, various advices have been issued by the government of india for not moving out and a total lockdown was imposed all over the country w. E. F. 24/3/2020 for 21 days. Since our journey period of 6/4/2020 to 10/4/2020 fell within this lockdown period, we had no alterna-tive except to cancel our journey and as such on 27/3/2020, a request for cancella-tion of tickets was submitted by me to make my trip.

                  Sir, to our shock, we have received an amount of rs.25, 702/- only on 7/4/2020. Thus a considerable amount of rs.13, 120/- has been deducted for no fault o[censored]s.

                  Sir, since we have not cancelled our visit on our own but it has been cancelled be-cause of the government advices in relation to outbreak of covid-19 as mentioned above, we think that no deduction in this regards should be imposed and full amount should be refunded to us.

                  You are aware that particularly for senior citizens, government has issued strict strict instructions to remain inside the house and do not travel and since both o[censored]s are above 60 years of age, our case should be considered sympathetically.

                  You are, therefore, requested to please intervene in the matter and arrange for re-fund of rs.13, 120/- deducted by them unjustifiably.

                  Kindly acknowledge and confirm having taken necessary action.

                      I booked a flight via mmt, later the flight got cancelled due to covid-19 situation. After about a month i got my refund and that too in mmt wallet. And there is no option to transfer it to my bank account. This is a complete fraud. They didn't ask me if i want the refund money in my mmt wallet or bank account from where i initially deducted money directly to book a flight. There is no customer care operative picking up my calls. And the big thing is they are giving me a deadline on my own money.
                      It's a fraud. Please help.

                        Sir,
                        I had booked roundtrip air ticket from Kolkata to Chennai via Air Asia (vide PNR T4N9PT) for 10th April, 2020 and from Chennai to Kolkata via Spice Jet (vide PNR VH3B3H) for 15th April, 2020. Both the tickets were purchased through Make My Trip. But due to current lockdown declared by government our journey has been cancelled. So on 28th March, 2020 I cancelled the Air Asia ticket and Make my trip, on that day, confirmed through SMS that “Once the request is successfully validated with the AIRLINE, the refund will be processed in 7-10 working days.” On 9th April, 2020, I mailed Make My Trip stating about the cancellation and the refund. Subsequently, I again gave them a reminder on 10th April, 2020 as they did not reply. But that too has got no reply till now. Now today, i.e. on 11th April, 2020, an SMS came to my registered mobile number from Make My Trip stating that “Customers booked with us on Air Asia for this travel period (between 25th March and 14th April) will receive a credit of the booking amount from the airline shortly. You will be able to view the credit in your MakeMyTrip wallet and use the same to rebook your travel to a future date on our website”. So from my description, it may be seen that it is completely violet my right as a customer because I paid them cash for the booking and in near future it would not be possible for us to go to Chennai or elsewhere because of my wife’s health issue. That is why, I demand the paid amount in cash to my bank account from where the amount was debited. Secondly, for the return trip, Spice Jet had denied to acknowledge my case as the ticket was for 15th April, 2020 and the lockdown has been declared till 14th April, 2020. Then I took help from www.consumerhelpline.gov.in. I made complaint though www.consumerhelpline.gov.in vide Grievance Number 1976268. The one Guneet Kaur Arora, Customer Experience, SpiceJet Ltd. Replied the very next day that “Customers can reschedule their travel with one time change fee waiver for travel till 30th September, 2020”. This ticket of SpiceJet (vide PNR VH3B3H) was also bought through MakeMyTrip and as, here too, I would not be able to go to Chennai in near future for my wife’s healt issue, I demad fro SpiceJet the complete in cash that may be credited to my account from where the amount was deducted. Kindly help me to protect my consumer right.

                          I've booked train ticket via makemytrip india online platform with following details:

                          From: cnb kanpur central
                          To: pryj prayagraj jn.
                          Train no. & name: 12560 - shiv ganga exp
                          Date: 23 march 2020
                          Travel time: 01:05 am - 03:50 am
                          Booking id: nr[protected]

                          But due to janta curfew on that day, all trains were cancelled and so "full refund" should be returned to passengers as per rules of irctc as well as makemytrip.

                          My ticket total fair was rs. 215.13 but after train cancellation, i was provided with only rs. 75.00 whereas it was supposed to be a full refund.

                          I've tried to contact them by every possible mean but their customer service is worst! It seems like they purposely don't entertain refund requests.

                            Booked the flight ticket from maa to ams and ams to maa roundtrip with the cancellation option.

                            We have cancelled the flights due to flight reschedule and chosen the cancellation but still the cancellation refund is not processed.

                            Also not able to reach the customer support.

                            When we reached them through facebook they are asking to consult with airlines.

                              My flight got rescheduled by the airline indigo due to lockdown to 2nd april, and the fare difference is supposed to be refunded back to me by makemytrip. I keep sending mails but i still haven't got a refund or resolution. Their customer care is unreachable and i get automated replies whenever i try to mail them my issue. I believe mmt is trying to defraud passengers during these tough times by stopping all customer support. Need help.

                                Due to covid-19 situation i had cancelled my booking mar 21st and i was informed within 7-10 days i should get the full refund however it has been more the 15 days still i haven't receive refund, this is very pathetic and disrespectful because all the stores are closed food and vegetable are high rate and not getting salary on time, this time most of the people need money to survive, so we expect people should understand the situation and refund the amount as quickly as they can, as i got the confirmation from airline they had refunded the full amount from their end, now it is mmt who is actually holding my money i would request kindly do the needful...

                                  I had booking form your agent for by indigo for 31starch my booking id is nn[protected].
                                  In which i just completed travel on 21st march blr to ktm
                                  Nd my other for 31 st has been cancelled by indigo airlines and they initiate the refund process and put my refund on credit shell but now concern sence i made booking for your agent that refund i would have used it for my future booking through you. But i had seen non transperancy about my booking no refund on my make trip a/c so i can use it for future booking. Indigo has done there part but it's pending from your end. Please update and let me do another booking throuh you

                                    I am a regular custome of make my trip and i paid rs 1499 and took a 1 yr membership valid till sept 2020 which covers 2 free airline cancellations and 2 hotel cancellations out of which 1 airline cancellation has been used and the other 1 is balance apart from 2 hotel cancellations so in all 3 are balance now i booked a ticket around nov 2019 for may 12 th 2020 from mumbai to bangalore and return on 21 st may 2020 where in i paid 5377 cash and now when i wnt to canel this due to this corona scare these mmt people are saying that i wnt get my money back whats my fault where in i am covered under mmt black and i have the pic also i have mailed them and also sent text messages and also done calls but no reply in the site it say no refund its cheating now i wll lodge a case of fraud on mmt, now i wnt u to take a serious and urgent action on this and give me a compenstation of rs 50000 as harrassment by mmt if not i will give this to the media i wnt my money and free benefits back u can call me on [protected] or mail me on [protected]@yahoo.com this is from where i have done the mmt booking so pls revert now, i hope u will do the needful now

                                    i am fed up with MMT as no one is neither calling me nor am i getting any messages stating my refund is this a right approach for people who pay 6 months in advance and even when they are eligilbe for a zero cancellation and full refund of air travel i wnt a answer and my money now

                                      This has reference to the international travel booking done on 2nd feb 2020 through makemytrip with following details:

                                      Air canada is providing the full refund, but since our tickets are booked through mmt we are getting the cancellation vharges.
                                      Through sms dated 26th march'20, received from mmt that above mentioned booking id dlights has been impacted due to unknown reasons. Mmt team will get in touch with us soon in this regard. However, thill date (After 10 days) no mmt team member has contacted us in this regard.

                                      On air canada web sight, there is no flight shown in april'20 month between delhi and toronto due to pandemic covid-19.in such situation, instead of making air ticket open, we intend to cancel out ticket and request to refund the entire amount paid i. E. Rs. 94696 + rs 102918 = rs. 197614 /- while doing the booking through mmt.

                                        Regarding air flight tikit on 16th april 2020, booked via make my trip, when i booked a tikit, their are select option zero cancalation charge, however when i cancle the air tikit, their are show only rs.1981, so as gove guideline their are lockdown till 14th april and my tikit booking is 16th april, the zero cancallation benifits are suspended for all extisiting bookings, show on mmt site,
                                        So kindly send me refund amount or send me tikit amount value in make my trip wallet

                                        Also attach images of cancallation airline ti kit with make my trip
