A serious complain has been made to the Ministry of Tourism.. Dear Sir, At an extreme disappointment I am forced to write this mail to Make My Trip. I had made a hotel booking on Thu- 06, August 15, under Booking ID: NH[protected] and I received a confirmation mail for the same. The booking was done for my guest Mr. Shubham Agnihotri at OYO PREMIUM MUMBAI TERMINAL T2, SAKI VIHAR ROAD, MUMBAI. The booking was confirmed and I had received confirmation mail and SMS for the same followed by a missed called to be given by us as a confirmation for the same. On Sat-15, August 15, at 11:45 pm after a long distance journey when my guest reached the hotel he was surprisingly denied for any hotel booking in his name. When we inquired we were told by the hotel manager that he has not received any confirmation mail from OYO for room booking. We called up the customer care of MMT and OYO the conversation went for about one and half hour, a chain of phone call were made, till late night and worst part my guest kept on waiting in the reception of the hotel throughout waiting for the room to be offered. OYO people were trying to wash away their hands claiming that the confirmation mail has been sent to the hotel and hotel manager kept denying for any receipt of mail. Attitude of OYO people was as if their responsibility end at sending the mail and they are not concerned if the guest gets the room or not… Finally, considering worst expected support from MMT and OYO and above all my guest who was travelling a long distance international flight and being a sugar patient was left with no other option but to book a room at the same hotel and check in.. It does not stop here the worst part is exactly after 10 minutes of making payment for the hotel room the hotel manager confirms for receipt of mail from OYO (around two hours after entering the hotel). When we asked for the refund as now he has the confirmation mail he refused to do so claiming it to be fault of MMT and OYO. ITS AND ABSOLUTE CASE OF FRAUD, CHEATING AND PHYSICAL & MENTAL HARASSMENT. Its not our fault if the mail was not sent in advance to the hotel. We had done all the required formalities/payments and had the confirmation on mail. We were giving the booking ID of MMT which was not acceptable to the hotel manager. You are requested to consider this as a very serious complain and take the matter ahead for the strictest possible action and I would not hesitate to take the matter further up to any extent if required.     I have booked an international flight ticket (air Arabia) in Make my trip. After Some issue the same ticket has been cancelled from the air arabia flight service provider. Ticket amount refunded from the flight service provided Air Arabia to make my trip. But Make my trip people not transferring the amount to my a/c. They're saying we didn't received the refund from the air Arabia. When I am discussing with air Arabia cust.Care they said already refund amount transferred to Make my trip. Make my trip Cust.care people nobody responding properly regarding this. I am having the amount transferred statement proof from air arabia.

        I had booked a return flight from delhi to cochin and the travel agent who had booked the ticket had taken Rs 36000 for the tickets. The booking IDs are NF[protected] and NF[protected]. I had ‪to cancel my flights due to some unforeseen circumstances and the amount I have been told that will be returned to me is approx Rs 14, 500 which means that the agent or MMT have taken Rs 22, 000 as cancellation amount. This is not acceptable. I have checked the terms and conditions mentioned on the tickets and it says that the charges would be Rs 2500 (max) per ticket per sector. Please help. The agent is reluctant to give me any information, his number is[protected] and name Laxman sreedhar. Thanking you

          I had booked a flight ticket from Bangalore to Kolkata for 26th August, 2015 via Makemytrip.com. I had not booked the ticket in any sale or discount nor was I informed of any special fare. The ticket specifically mentions that it is a refundable fare ticket. The cancellation slab (link given in the ticket) shows that the cancellation charge as Rs.[protected] days before the travel date). However, when I tried cancelling the ticket on 10th of August, it showed me that the cancellation charge of full base fare Rs. 3639 would apply. On contacting with "Makemytrip.com" they are saying that the ticket I booked is a special fare ticket and hence entire base fare would be charged as cancellation fee and no amount would be refunded. I think this is a clear case of misrepresentation as I was no way informed that this is a non-refundable fare ticket. Moreover, I did not book the ticket in any sale or discount hence it cannot be said that it is a special fare ticket.

          In reference to your complaint, we have validated your case with our concerned department and found that the ticket booked for your journey was a non-refundable fare. However, in the e-ticket sent to you it was mentioned that the ticket is refundable. Now as checked our concerned team has processed refund with cancellation penalty as Inr 1500 + Inr 200 = Inr 1700. Find below the details of refund :

          Total amount by passenger : Inr 4008 (From Bank Account)+ Inr 273 (From payback account) = Inr 4281.00
          Total Cancellation charges : Inr 1500 + Inr 200 (Convenience Fee) = Inr 1700.00
          Total Refund done : Inr 4281 - Inr 1700 = Inr 2581.00

          Refund Break up :

          Inr 273 ( Refunded in passenger's pay back account) on 17 Aug-15.
          Inr 2308 (Refunded in card number ending with**********4872)on 17 Aug-15.

            Twice Billed for one ticket and repeated alternative day..

            I am writing this out of frustration and sadness...Just because of busy schedules, we turned to this websites to book flight tickets and flights. I have booked my tickets to Bangalore on[protected] and[protected] in Make my trip website.             Dear Sir,

            Today I booked three ticket from Delhi to HYD for 16 Aug 2015 to attend the training workshop at Hyderabad. Instead of Aug 16, 2015 App automatically booked ticket for Dec 16, 2015 and full money had been deducted from my account. When I requested to the customer care of Make my Trip Mr Pankaj (Customer care), he have refused to refund the amount for all three passangers, which, is very painful and mental harassment for me.

            Also now am not able to travel to HYD on Aug 16, 2015 due to non availability of funds for our current travel, which affects badly on our carrier. There are two PNR numbers generated for three passengers by make my trip app. This shows fault in their app for getting money.

            Here I request you to please intervene in-between and help to get full refund of the amount that is Rs 10, 765 for all three passengers.

              On 10th July, a travel agent (ROHIT MANDAL) booked packages and flight tickets via MAKEMYTRIP AND A MAKEMYTRIP EMPLOYEE (who according to travel agent works in cancellation department of MakeMyTrip, named VINITA KAUSHIK) for approx 20 people of same office . Bookings were done for us and money charged mostly via cash, later on today (13 August) we discovered all our bookings were canceled and hotel bookings were fraud. All money which was paid via Card must have been credited to someones account. In all the documents received there is reference of MakeMyTrip which shows that there is someone from MakeMyTrip who is involved in these activities. Please provide support in recovering the amount and also in identifying the employee associated with this as this if goes out of hand is going to tarnish the image of makemytrip badly. I say this after realizing that there might be lots more out there who have been looted by this person using the same make my trip ID. I couldn't attach images related to the bookings because of security reasons. If there is any mail id where in I can take this forward then share. Expecting a prompt and positive response!

              May I know how status of this complaint is set to resolved without any proper investigation and communication to me???
              This is only one Booking id which was provided. We can provide you with more Booking ids so that more deailed investigation can be done. Below is one more Id:

              Name of makemytrip employee from whose username tickets were booked is::: MANSI MADAN

              This name was given to me by makemytrip customer care executive himself.

              Agent was having user id and password of this employee for Booking which shows they knew each other and everything was planned. Also this employee of yours was from cancellation department.

              Hoping for cooperative behaviour from your side so that strict action can be taken against culprits involved in this fraud. Also, these actions of employees are ruining makemytrip image and goodwill.

              Looking forward for some positive response from makemytrip.

              Amount deducted but ticket not booked

              I was trying to book flight ticket from dehradun to Delhi, I gave my SBI a/c details, amount got deducted but ticket was not booked . booking I'd given was 1G00RW1B06. Kindly look into the matter so that I can get my amount back.

                Hi, we booked a trip with MMT with trip dated in sept. they booked it at aug dtae. then they said to change dates they will charge money. after long processes and enough days, they changed date. once dates were changed then they charged more than the amount promised earlier. when i reverted them back, they said pay 20000 we will change the final price. they said that we will forfeit your amount if payment not done. hence i cancelled my trip as it took 1 month and loss of 5300 rs. they are not refunding my money now and i am feeling cheated. :(

                  You have one of the worst services. Make my trip plays around with customers. Case in point was my booking through your site. Booking id was NF[protected]. I cancelled my return journey on 26 Jul. As told by customer care charges for cancellation would be Rs1250+Rs 250 per ticket. In addition total amount of Rs 350 would be charged as convenience charges. There fore total charges for cancellation was Rs 3350 (two tickets)Total cost of ticket was close Rs 5100. Amount refunded was Rs 314 which is like throwing pea nuts at customer. In fact I had cancelled ticket on 26 Jul. No action for refund was initiated. I again called on 12 Aug then they initiated the procedure. It is still not understood how are you charging and making fool of customers. Lodged the complaint on 12 Aug 15. Ref no is[protected]. It is requested to look into the matter and resolve the issue. From now my advice to everyone would be to avoid the worst services of make my trip.

                    On 10th July 2015, I booked 3 rooms at Koh Samui, Thailand in a Hotel Punnpreeda Pool Villa Beachfront Samui Hotel for 2 nights starting 1st August 2015 to 3rd August 2015, via MAKEMYTRIP Booking ID: NH[protected] for which I had made online payment. As a request, I sent an email to the hotel for early check in, but was surprise to know that our rooms were booked for a different inferior hotel. This was a budget hotel of the same group name Replay Residence and Pool Villa. I sent mails for clarification, spoke to their customer care executive Ms. Birva Patel and her Senior Mr. Abhijeet Shukla number of times, where they kept assuring me that the hotel booked by me was the same and I don't need to worry. Since this was a Group vacation with our friends, I wanted no issues. I confirmed the same with the hotel and their General Manager Ms. Salinee confirmed that there was some error and that the booking was not done for Hotel Punnpreeda and if we still wanted the same hotel, we would be required to pay additional Rs. 30, 000/ night. I forwarded all the mails to Make my trip and on the last day before we were to fly, Mr. Abhijeet came up with a new story that the Hotel has changed their name from Hotel Punnpreeda to Hotel Replay Residence, after we had booked. We knew that this was a LIE as we could still see the two different hotels for booking at their website. But Mr. Abhijeet assured that if we were able to get proof of these being two different properties, they would compensate my entire trip. ( Air tickets were also booked on makemytrip.com) When we reached the Hotel we found that there were two different properties opposite each other across the road and the General Manager also confirmed that we were cheated by Makemytrip as they charged us for Hotel Punnpreeda and booked us for Hotel Replay Residence. We got the same in writing from Ms. Salinee (General Manager), which was mailed to Ms. Birva. After a horrible stay and accepting all the assurances from Makemytrip, the portal has washed their hands off and still claiming that the hotel has changed their name. We would like to lodge a complaint and take all legal actions against the Portal, so that they improve their services or shutdown their FRAUD web portal.

                    In reference to your complaint, please note that we have validated your case with our concern team & the respective hotel and found that the hotel name changed from “Punnpreeda Pool Villa Beachfront Samui Hotel to Replay Residence and Pool Villa” which was conveyed to the guest before the date of check-in. For this booking, the guest has booked Studio suite and same was offered to the guest. It is the name of the property which has changed but not the property.

Anchal along with mail forwarded by them through make my trip for giving me Rs 5000/- travel voucher as soon as i will complete my Go Goa trip i took that Go Goa package and paid Rs 28219/- now i have completed my trip on 6th august 2105 so now Mr. purnendu bagchi is not picking my phone, Mr. agrim malhotra has blocked my mob no. i also forwarded them mails for asking about my concern and just waiting for there reply...                         Subject: MakeMyTrip Denied the Cancellation/Amendment of International Hotel booking done accidentally due to website error of taking dates from previous booking. I am really very disappointed with MakeMyTrip's support that they had provided me till date. I had told clearly and requested many times that the booking was done accidentally due to website error in taking dates from previous booking data. First I had done hotel booking for the dates (25th-28th Dec 2015) in 'The Mercer boutique hotel, Hong Kong' with booking ID: NH[protected], then I had booked another hotel 'Dorsett Kwun Tong, Hong Kong' for the dates (30th-1st Jan 2016) but for second time, one room was booked using previous dates i.e. 25-28th instead of 30-1stJan, booking ID: NH[protected]. I have requested many times to either cancel this booking or else amend this for the later dates. But MakeMyTrip entirely denied in cancelling or amending the booking saying hotel policy of non-cancellable/refundable. Booking was made for the amount Rs 17, 893 /-. Please help me in getting my hard core earned money from MakeMyTrip travel agency.

                          I booked my ticket for 17 April from Mumbai to Delhi and Delhi to Varanasi.My booking ID is NF[protected].The fight number is 9W-301 and 9W-2423 respectively.The E-ticket number is 589 [protected] and 589 [protected].I cancelled this ticket on 16 April 2015.I called Jet Airways and they said that I will get complete refund but as of now i haven't got my complete refund.Whenever I call in MakeMyTrip they just tell me that you will get your complete refund in one week.I hope I will get my complete refund as soon as possible.

                            I booked a ticket today. I selected 24 Aug 2015- BLR to SXR but the ticket is showing date of 25 Aug 2015. I wanted the date to be changed from 25 Aug to 24 Aug, without any fee as there was no mistake from my end and it was the problem in the Makemytrip mobile pp As per the telephonic conversation makemytrip promised address to this probem as soon as possible. They reply:With reference to your e-mail, we would like to inform you as checked in our records and the booking logs, at the time of booking dates selected for booking are Departure date: 25 Aug 2015 and Arrival date: 03 Sep 2015. We have attached herewith the logs of your booking. Kindly refer to the attachment. Please be informed, booking logs are the recorded data of the options viewed, entered and selected by the passenger at the time of booking. We would not be able to honour the concern for date change without any charges. At outset, we apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. I booked a ticket from Mobile app and save the datails . 24 Aug and verified thrice before making payment. I also attached a sceenshot of booking review nut they are not ready to accept that its their mistake and cannot honour my request. They are cheatin customers. Never book through makemytrip Other websites are way better than makemytrip.

                              Dear Helpdesk, Please find the attachment in the mail regarding reimbursement in respect to cancellation of ticket which we have not received yet. Today I had a words with CCE of make my trip regarding reimbursement, he told me that your ticket was no show by airline. I am forwarding you the details(cancellation mail), the time is around 09:06:43 IST for one ticket & for other 09:08:27 IST & we have to travel at around 15:30. How it could be possible that tickets cancelled 6-7 hours back & that too refundable, will be no show. As corporate employee & frequent traveller, we will not tolerate this type of discrepancy & will escalate the same. And believe me will drag you to consumer forum for such type of fraud. And I am also marking the other ALSTOM employee whose ticket was with me & also the tickets was booked by him on my behalf both for him & me to travel to same destination.                               They have taken time till 11.July. 2015 till 17.00 hrs .And if they are customer oriented & do care for them & also not involve in deception, I believe that they should initiate the Refund at earliest without any more follow up.
                              And also they should not play with customer by throwing ball on airline & then the same is done by airline.And in all this customer is the sufferer & cheated although he is not negliglent on his side but completely fooled by the travel portal.

                              In reference to your complaint, we have validated your case and found that on 12-Jul-15 at 09:08:27 IST, user opted for special claim option “Ticket Directly cancelled with Airline “while raising his cancellation request. This option is selected only when a passenger has cancelled his booking with the airline directly but in this case, tickets were not cancelled. Post receiving this cancellation, we have informed passenger that since cancellation request is made under special claim option, so we will verify details with the airline and then process refund accordingly and tat of 7 working days was shared.

                              Due to Invalid cancellation option selected by the user online on our website, booking was not cancelled and as travel date was on 12-Jul-15 @ 15:30 hrs hence airline marked this booking as no show. Post receiving this request, we have verified details with the airline and then only refund has been processed accordingly.

                              We regret to inform you that, no further refund on this booking is possible. We thank you for contacting us.

                                Hi, I have cancelled my tickets on June 25th and its been 2 months the money has not been refunded on my account. The service is bad they just tell me that they will get back and dont even bother. And they are the most careless and ignorant service I have ever seen. I have provided everything starting from my cancellation receipt my bank statement. This is heights now and I want strict actions to be taken against them

                                  The booking Id NF[protected] had the following bookings. 4 tickets Mumbai- Mangalore by Air India for 20th June 2015 4 return tickets Mangalore- Mumbai by SpiceJet for 27th June 2015 The ticket of Viswanathan Ganapathy on Air India, Mumbai- Mangalore was first cancelled on 16th June. Cancellation Confirmation Reference Id - IN1506R2S169414. Received the refund in my wallet on 16th June which is an amount of Rs.1730/-. On 18th June I cancelled the ticket of Viswanathan Ganapathy on Spice Jet, Mangalore - Mumbai. Cancellation Confirmation Reference Id - IN1506R2S195545. The refund amount due to me as per the Cancellation Confirmation Request ID above is Rs. 2341/-. Refund recd is Rs. 133/- My complaints are as follows: - How can you treat the Manglaore-Mumbai cancellation of Viswanathan Ganapathy done on 18th June as no show and only credit refund of Rs. 133 when in fact the ticket was cancelled on 18th June and the refund amount due is Rs. 2341/- - I have made repeated calls to the help line[protected]. The reference id of the complaints are : [protected] [protected] Rupali Singh [protected] Anjali Alisha [protected] Ambrish Saroch [protected] Arvind Kumar [protected] Dhananjay Kumar Each time I have had to explain that the refund in my wallet is that of the Air India flight and not the Spice Jet. I am really fed up after making so many calls. - On July 11th I received a call that my refund is processed. When the credit did not happen I called up the help line. I was told to wait for 3 working days for the credit. The credit still did not happen. - Sometimes I am told that this is a no show case... How can this be a no show when clearly i have cancelled the ticket way in advance and have even received a confirmation of the cancellation and the amount due to me.

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    On Thursday - 30th July 2015, i had made an online booking thru makemytrip.com - booking id NF[protected] using my standard chartered credit card. An amount of Rs.15525/- was also debited to my account at 04:30:28 p.m. which was confirmed by my bankers via sma. While i was still was online, i received a message which reads as follows :
                                    (The booking failed. We are sorry, we could not confirm your booking with the airline servers. This happens very rarely and is mostly due to a last minute increase in the fare for the selected flight. Since we had received your payment by the time the failure occured, we'd be initiating a full-refund within 2 working days...).

                                    This morning - 31st July 2015, my blood pressure shot up on receiving an emai from MMT that an amount of Rs.14, 189/- will be refunded (Rs.1169x2 is towards cancellation charges).

                                    I am sure that the above information is self explanatory for my grievacne being addressed to you. It has disturbed me right from this morning.

                                    I called the toll free no[protected] at 0944 a.m.. An assistant took my call and assured that her manager / supervisor would call back on my mobile no which i shared with her - Ms. Harsha.

                                    I have been disturbed right from morning. This is harassement to the core. I had to take an extra dose of medication when my bloodpressure shoots up in situations, such as this one.

                                    Because of an emergency, i had to use my credit card.

                                    i already have around Rs.30, 000 pending to settle towards standard chartered bank and by using another Rs.15525/- i have overshot my credit limit. Each day the bank would charge me 'interest' as they would add both the amounts plus there would be penalty charges for exceeding the 'credit limit'.

                                    My reason to quote the immediate above para was that :

                                    1. I have been unsuccessful with the booking for no fault of mine and to add to it to all

                                    2. the company is cheating me by :
                                    a - debiting my account for the said amount and
                                    b - then follow fraud practices and deduct cancellation charges.

                                    3. i had to take the help of another person to redo the booking as i had no balance to use my own credit card, which is embarassing.

                                    4. for the mental harassement caused

                                    Your assistance is required to put such illegal companies stop their malpractices and i am refunded for the financial losses - including bank interest and penalty charges.

                                      booking id : IN1507B3S214012 I used to regularly book my tickets through make my trip website but for this particular case I called up make my trip as it was international travel i had some doubts but customer executive convinced me saying its much cheaper if i book through him he did not even bother to tell that I will have to shell out convenience fee more than website if I book through him I gave all the details of the passengers and he landed up entering a wrong spelling in one of the tickets.H e sent me the mail and I could not cross check I called up make my trip immediately had to rebook one of the ticket and landed up paying six thdousand more and even after paying full amount I still havent recieved the ticket instead of repeated calls and emails as my brothers family is flying from saudi arabia considering his strict employers dont know how to rectify the mistake of booking through make my trip and get my eticket
