This is in reference to our booking ID- NN[protected] in terms of which air tickets from Delhi to Prague and back were booked for 11th Aug. 2015 and were sent to us by email on 26.July.2015 bearing booking ref. YJFFL5 where in it was mentioned as RESERVATION CONFIRMED.
These bookings were made by my son, Sukhdeep Singh from Germany using MakeMyTrip.com's web interface. So, we went to Delhi Airport with the tickets issued on, but were denied the boarding pass as the Air Lines advised that this was not a valid ticket.
In the time of panic and stress, despite taking up the matter with airport authorities or suggesting/issuing us backup/another ticket, it was even more stressful to talk with the customer care executives. Sh. Gaurav & Bunty from MMT’s customer service kept us on toes for holding the mobile phone call for 21.22 minutes & 46.19 minutes between 1.00 A.M. to 3.00 AM on 11th Aug. 2015 at the Aero Flot Airlines counter in Delhi airport. Without any satisfactory reply, we missed out flight. Instead of issuing ticket in lieu of ticket dt 26th July, Mr. Bunty was demanding Rs. 131000/- for issuance of a new ticket for the next day.
Even my son, Sukhdeep Singh, who was waiting to pick us up from the Prague Airport sent an e-mail to MakeMyTrip’s service email address on 11th Aug.2015 saying that 'My parents are standing at Delhi Airport, this ticket is invalid', ‘please take a swift action, as the flight boards in 3 hours' but no action was taken. Ultimately the airport authorities asked us to leave the Airport as the ticket issued was invalid.
Being senior citizens, we were depressed, mentally & physically tired because of long journey & perforce had to again arrange for back journey with heavy luggage. We were emotionally harassed as all our excitement to visit abroad & to meet our son after a long time had gone waste and my wife was under stress turned depression due to the negligence of Make My Trip. We have been put to financial loss and were being mentally, emotionally and physically harassed.
Lovelesh from MakeMyTrip confirmed that they have our amount that we paid during online booking INR 89, 684 (transcripts attached), but no further action was taken.
Ref.ID[protected] Singh Charanjit DEL SVO was assigned on 13th August 2015 in terms of which we have sent more than 19 E-mails and telephonic messages demanding the refund of our own money, in response to 18 (automated) emails by various officials from MakeMyTrip, till date, we are trying to reach them to get our money back seeking a further compensation. For each of our email, an automatic response and case id is generated but no one takes it seriously and no refund has been releaased till date except that an automated response of “we will reply you within 24/48 hours” and it is more than a month now. This is too frustrating and sad at the same time.
We have had booked 4 holiday packages in past from the same company but never faced any problem till this time which is the utmost uncomfortable, stressful and painful incident or chain of events.
We once again request the company to refund us the amount as per details submitted via our email dated 30th Aug. 2015 and same promised by another customer agent, Lovejeet Singh from his email dated[protected], that “ We are working on refund query- wait for 48 hours”, without any further delay.
Hope to receive immediate and favourable response for refund of money along with a suitable compensation. We could not have expected this from one of the most trusted Indian travel company.
