My husband booked me and my kids tickets to Dubai from Mumbai on 29th April on Vistara airlines through Makemytrip.com. The tickets were booked from Dubai and due to change of plans, my husband is trying to contact makemytrip customer care team Dubai contact to cancel the tickets but neither they were responding nor they were allowing to do the cancellations on their app or website. I tried to call them from India as well but there is no way to reach to customer care team as their automated phone service disconnects the call with no appropriate response.

We are so disappointed with Makemytrip and I will never recommend anyone to use them for booking the tickets because initially they offer cheap tickets but if there is any change of plan you will end up paying more to the airlines as they will not be helpful.

I have paid almost double the money to the airlines to change our tickets but this amount should be borne by Makemytrip

    Booked 2 rooms from 22nd to 26th April 2022 at Townhouse OAK Hotel 29 Church's Inn in Bangalore through Makemytrip.

    Reached hotel around 6pm on 22nd, as per the listing the booked room category was "city view classic room", but from the reception they said city rooms already occupied by other guests and not available and said they will provide one city view room next day. The room they provided was smelling really bad and when we pointed it, they provided us another room. The room was not hygiene and found food waste on the wash basin, there was no soap or handwash, the body wash bottle was empty. There was no option to move the curtains, when we pointed it, one house keeping guy came in and boarded on the window and tied it with string. Also no battery found on the tv remote. Then we asked them to clean room, washroom, etc and fix other issues and we went out. We came back after 4 hours, the room was same, only change found was they remote the string tied on curtain. We called to the reception and one guy came in and he said, "It's not a five star hotel, you need to adjust".

    I have contacted the makemytrip customer care and explained everything and they talked with the hotel reception. Then they tried to shift us to another hotel near by connecting with an OYO supervisor, even though they communicated to few hotels they couldn't find anything for us. So they promised to arrange a shift in the morning and requested to stay their for a night (The final call was around 2AM on 23rd April 2022).

    Even though we didn't prefer to stay there a minute we agreed for that as it is difficult to find another stay on the late night and trusting makemytrip team. Also the executive said if we cancel we need to pay one night stay charges and one night cancellation charges, so will get only 2 days charges refunded.

    From next day morning itself (23rd April 2022) I was waiting for the call from customer care, but nothing happened. So I called them around 9:40 AM and the executive said will arrange a call back from executive Rashid (who was in call with me last night), as he is taking care of this issue. I waited till 10:40AM and there was no call. So I contacted the customer care again and got connected with another executive named Ramanjeet, after hearing the issues she asked me to share the photos by the mail and I did the same.

    But no further communication or update received from Makemytrip team, so I vacated hotel myself around 11:00 AM and gave the keys at reception, they said okay. I waited till evening on that day to hear an update from Makemytrip (shifting or cancellation), but nothing happen. So I booked on another hotel and then contacted makemytrip for an update. But they said they are working on it.

    Next day I contacted customer care again and the executive said Rashid is taking up the issue and he will call back. After one hour I got a call back from Rashid and after the initial communication he put me on hold to communicate with hotel. Then he said the hotel not agreeing for cancellation and refund, so makemytrip can't provide the refund. But as a compensation they offered Rs 2500/- travel voucher.

    Then I told him clearly that am not communicating for any compensation, instead expecting a refund as the stay was not hygiene and rude behaviour of hotel staff. Even I was okay to reduce the cost for single night I stayed there, but Rashid said they can't help as per the policy cancellation not allowed after check in.

    So I disconnected the call and checked the call recordings, I found the communication saying 2 nights refund (after deducting one night stay and one night cancellation) will be provided if we decided to cancel. I contacted the customer care again and asked for it, they said they can't do anything as hotel is not cooperating. But they will check regarding this communication with their team.

    Nothing happen then, instead makemytrip sent Rs 2500/- travel voucher as compensation. By this I understood that never ever book hotels on makemytrip, even if they understand and accept the issues you pointed out, they won't help you. The compensation and shifting offer clearly says they accept the problem, but they are not ready to stay with customer.

    Other booking providers staying with customer and providing refund for the customer if property is not hygiene or customer having issue with the stay.

      Dear Team,

      I had made a booking on MakeMyTrip from Bangalore to Kodaikanal for 14 Apr 2022 at 11:00 PM which got canceled by the bus operator Sam Tourist and hence I had to book another bus immediately.

      I'm still awaiting my refund. It's been more than 10 days and the status on the website is not updated. There is no way to reach customer care or mail MMT. Kindly request you to refund my amount of 4166/-.

        I had booked a flight ticket from Kalburgi to Bengaluru for the 25th of March, 2022, with booking ID: NF20YSC984ZNJHQ99815 in my name.
        However due to some unforeseen circumstances, I had to modify my booking. I contacted the MMT customer care for existing booking and the executive online assured me that the ticket is now open.
        Now, i wish to travel on the same open ticket and I'm unable to use this ticket because it's not reflecting in my app.
        I'm unable to reach the customer care which I believe is not user friendly at all.
        This is frustrating and it is cheating the gullible public.

                Hi,

                Myself Dinesh Behera from Bangalore, and i had booked a hotel using Make my trip app with below details,

                Hotel Name: Serene Mountains Munnar
                Booking ID-NH[protected]
                Booked on: 24th-april-22
                Stay for: 30-april to 3rd-may
                Booked amount: RS. 11424.00

                Now today i received a mail from MMt that the booking has been cancelled and they tried to inform but they haven't tried in reality, and finally they have cancelled that booking. (email photo attached)

                Then i tried to contact with MMt support team and ask the problem, and they said the property (hotel itself) has been denied for this booking and so it's cancelled. Then i ask them if that's the case then i need an alternate hotel with same facilities as soon as possible as I have to travel day after tomorrow, or else refund the amount now so that I can Book some other with same facilities, and if it's higher than current booking amount that also MMT has to pay in addition to booked amount.

                After long discussion finally that support guy gave false assurance that they will refund asap with additional amount to close conversation with a good vibes.. but in reality they have not initiated any refund process as of now and also not responding my mail and call further.

                I need your kind attention for this harassment from MMT and help us to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

                Hope your immediate action and response on this, please let me know if more details required on this..

                  All of sudden my card was charged with Rs 4121 on 26th April 2022. I also received a message from makemytrip mentioning that I made the booking.

                  I immediately tried reaching out make my trip but there qas no option on the IVR to speak to any of their customer care team. There was no email found to escalate this issues and hence i used twitter to escalate this. But i didn't get response either. I called the bank and informed the same after which bank blocked my card and raised a dispute.

                  Today i spoke to MMT when i got connected by choosing an option to cancel the booking on IVR on which they informed me that amount is non refundable.

                  Now i want to take strict action against MMT for this grave criminal offense and penalise them for a huge compensation which wasted my time and effort.

                    1. While booking, they told us we will could snow in a solang valley when it is common knowledge to people in the area that snow is not present there in this weather. They could have totally informed us that we will have to go further to see snow, as we were ready to pay for it. We feel uninformed. When we talked to them about this during trip, they said we cant predict weather. Ofcourse they can predict weather when its such a common knowledge. They just didn't put any effort in finding out.

                    Also, they twisted their words and said snow is subject to weather, but the thing is you can check weather with a simple google search before booking and taking our money.

                    2. The car they provide was in bad condition. We complained then representative said I raised request but nobody is responding. This is their responsibility to see I get help, not my problem if your supervisor is not responding. Since we were on a time crunch, we had to start in the same car for a 13 hour journey. Both o[censored]s got sick by the end of this car ride, and it ruined the next 3 days. They did call us the next day, but it was already too late and we were already halfway to manali.

                    3. The driver they provided was rude, and make racial comments against our people. We got offended but he didn't care.

                    4. They provided many places to visit and not enough time, we couldn’t go to half the places.

                    In summary, once I paid for the entire package, they knew we couldn’t do anything and left us to deal with everything. Horrible support.

                      I have attempted to book 2 train tickets for Hwh Sc Suf Exp for 17th May, 2022 from Howrah to Secunderabad. After entering my irctc ID, password and captcha, and making the payment, I got the message that something went wrong. The payment of Rs5055.40 has been deducted from my account. I have made the payment via UPI. The booking details are not even showing on the ‘Unsuccessful Bookings’ section on the MakeMyTrip app. I have attached the screenshot of the same. Kindly look into it.

                        Makemytrip.com refunded the flight cancellation amount to my MMK wallet. I can see that the correct amounts have been credited into my account. However, when I attempt to transfer the amount to my bank account I get following error:

                        "Please login with the same email id and phone number which you have used while booking. You are trying to access with another ID"

                        Could you please assist me through this?

                        The refund is credited to my MMT wallet. But I was not able to transfer the refund to my bank account. So I requested to help in the matter. Subsequently the refund of my wallet is debited with the narration 'Transferred to bank' making my wallet empty.
                        I checked my bank accounts but amount is not credited to any of my account.
                        Please let me know to which account the amount is credited and help me in getting my refund back.

                        As per MMT requirement I have sent the statements of my credit card which is showing debit to make my trip in Sep 2019 but no credit of refund from you. Since card is hotlisted on 2/11/2021 no credit will be accepted which I have confirmed from credit card dept. If MMT have sent credit of refund it would have been reverted back to them. I have attached statement of my bank account also where there is showing total debit of card on 6/12/2019 but no credit as on date.

                        Please do the needful as early as possible as I have given required statements which shows no credit has been refunded.

                          We had booked "Guwahati and Kaziranga-Wildlife Special" holiday packsge through MakeMy trip between 15th - 21st April.
                          The tour was to cover Shillong (2N) • Kaziranga (2N) • Guwahati (2N).
                          The stay at Shillong & Guwahati was good but the holiday got totally ruined in Kaziranga.We were put up in a ongoing renovation, no maintenance accommodation - Kazhiranga Eco Village which had a shack for a kitchen and the utensils being washed in the most unhygienic way with least bit of thought to the ongoing pandemic. The Relationship Manager from Makemy Trip(Ms.Akshata) assigned to us claimed she was on leave and would entertain only whatsapp messages but no resolution. As we were travelling with kid, in a desperate effort registered a online complaint and the lady who called said her role was limited to forwarding the concern to the team on field . We found no resolution. Stayed in this filthy place with dog poop in front of the door which never got cleared till we checked out. The resort had no food to offer the cab drivers which had to be taken care of by us at last.
                          Two in our group decided to cut short the trip after the 4th day. Called/Mailed MakemyTrip asking them to cancel one of the three rooms booked at Guwahati as there would be only four o[censored]s checking in. They refused to accommodate this request as well.
                          Overall, after charging a bomb, Makemy trip booked accommodation in lousy places and ruined the whole experience .
                          What is the point in allocating a Holiday Manager who is on leave and refuses to help when needed? Why a platform for Customer Concern if they are not going to get solutions? Their Customer Care team is totally useless.
                          Please compensate for cutting corners and ruining our holiday.

                            Hi there.

                            I have a complaint about my bus booking last Sunday through Make My Trip.

                            Details of the experience are as below -
                            4 change of travel Mode
                            1. By car instead of the bus to Nagercoil and wait for 2 hours for the bus to be ready
                            2. Bus got broke down near Dindigul and waited 6.30 hours.
                            3. New bus came and wasn't a multi-axle bus as promised, was a normal one
                            4. Had to change again at Hosur in a Normal sleeper bus
                            NO food stop at any place was told to eat in the beginning at Nagercoil as the bus was getting ready.
                            The last two bus drivers and staff were very rude and didn't take any acceptance of food stops.
                            In total took 18 hours for 9-10 hours, Journey.
                            AC in the first bus was not functioning well, second was placed in the wrong places.
                            I am looking for a full refund

                                I had booked 2 bus tickets from MMT on the 23rd of April 2022. The details provided weren't sufficient as the contact number was of the agency and every time I called the number regarding anything, he told me to dial another number.
                                The other number was of some person in the bus. I called him asking where would I find the bus, he just said the bus is on the move and didn't even provide me a proper location and just hanged up.
                                Called him one more time asking the location as I had to reach my destination on time as it was urgent, he acted the same and told me the bus is on the move and even after asking me where the bus was, he hanged up the call.
                                Next time another person picked up the call and was talking in his local language, repeatedly asked him to speak in Hindi, which probably every person knows also asked him to make me talk to another person, then too he hanged up.

                                After that there was no answer to my calls.

                                  Gift Card Redemption

                                  I recently added gift cards to my make my trip account but I am not able to use them for my flight bookings. As far as I can understand, the gift cards are to be added into my account and when I reach the payment page the option for adding the gift card has to be clicked. But the option for paying with gift card doesn't show at all. I tried a while ago as well for a previous booking and at that point it said something like it can't be used....

                                  He booked us the tickets from Bangalore to Manchester
                                  Through Vistara airlines
                                  Bangalore to Delhi to Franfurt to Manchester
                                  So in Frankfurt transit visa was required- But Abhishek said it is not required. He confirmed twice and thrice that Transit Visa is not required. And booked the wrong tickets. So In Delhi we were not allowed to travel from Delhi to Frankfurt and to Manchester.
                                  I spent 271890 for our tickets.
                                  But we were not allowed to travel because of his mistake.
                                  We asked him whether transit visa is required he said not required.
                                  Then on January 1st 2022 we could not travel and therefore we called Make My Trip From Delhi Airport and tried to ask them help us on this issue and tried to ask them to rebook the tickets for us.
                                  But the customer care staff from make my trip said she cannot help me out on that issue and she has to inform that issue to her supervisor and she said she will arrange for a call after 48 hours. But i never received any call.

                                  As i was travelling to the United Kingdom on a student visa i had filled passenger locator form, I took Covid Test and Booked my room which all should be in 48 hours duration if not it will be expired.
                                  So because of Make my trip staff's mistake we were not able to reach on January 1st as per the plan.

                                  I need a complete refund of 271890 rupees .
                                  I spent again 472500 while rebooking the tickets so i need the remaining amount of 186000 as well. Because its make my trip duty to reschedule the tickets for the same price but they didnot pick up my call and they didnt help me in rebooking the tickets for the same prices. So they should pay me 472500 in total as a refund.

                                    Dear Sir,
                                    I booked flight with Air India via MMT LKO-JDH on 27.04.2022 connecting flight (Lko- Del-Jdh) with PNR No.(Z20WN) I received a message from Air India that my LKO-DEL is Cancelled due to operation reason. I have spoken many times with mmt customer care and Air India but they both are not in same page MMT is saying tickets are not Cancelled n same time Air India is saying it is canceled.what type of services are these highly disappointing and poor service by mmt u people are not helping its ur job to give me my full refund asap.
                                    Mmt is just not taking responsibility resolve this issue or I have to take other actions for harassment by MMT. Treat matter as urgent

                                      I booked a train reservation. From new Delhi to Amritsar journey date 24 Apr. Which was in GNWL status. I got msg that my train tkr is not confirmed. Mmt raised refund and deduct the penalty of 400 rs. I just want to know why they charge this penalty? As that trip was cancelled by IRCTC not by me. Secondary you already charged 100 rs extra as a service charge at time of booking creation. That means it's you who get good amount if someone trip cancelled by IRCTC.
