My daughter had registered and given swab sample for a CBNAAT Covid-19 test at 9 AM on 7 January, at MH, Whitefield, with the assurance that the report will be made available by evening. This was specifically communicated and confirmed at the time of sample collection as my daughter had an international flight to USA at 02:10 AM in the night and USA mandated that a negative Covid-19 report be done 24 hours prior.

From 4:30 PM in the evening, we were repeatedly conveyed the same message at intervals of every 30 mins that "the report will be released within the next 30 mins" - a false promise made by the lab team that went to cause great anguish and agony as mentioned next. Even until, 8:30 PM we had not received any report, inspite of regular reach out calls/ attempts being made, 90% of them being un-responded and un-answered to. This left us helpless and distraught resulting in great anguish and agony as we had to eventually proceed to the airport **without any Covid-19 report in hand** - a big let down from a medical instituation like Manipal Hospital. We finally had to seek recourse from an alternate test provider at KIAL after reaching the airport around 10 PM (Auriga Research), post which we received **their report within 15 mins** and were able to travel as planned.

We finally received the Covid-19 CBNAAT report, that too, **after calling the lab** around 10:30 PM.

I have the following specific questions regarding my agonizing experience with Covid-19 testing at MH, Whitefield:

1. What was the reason for the extra-ordinary delay in release of the Covid-19 CBNAAT Report (which the world-over is known to be faster than RT-PCR)?
2. Why was I wrongly committed an SLA of 5 PM?
3. Why was I repeatedly communicated a wrong revised release time of the Covid-19 CBNAAT report from 5 PM onwards every 30 mins, until, 10:30 PM, given that that the purpose of the report, viz. International Flight to USA, was communicated at 9 AM itself, and thereafter at every contact with lab team?
4. What is the agreed and published SLA for a Covid-19 CBNAAT report, in the backdrop of the various guidelines/ penalties stipulated by various local/ state governing bodies like the BBMP, etc.?

Need responses to my queries/ complaint raised above.

    This is horrible experience at Sarjapur, Manipal Hospital. Just for test sample they kept the patient waited for 4-6 hrs and charged for the test which not done as realised not required just on the name of package.
    Female written as male so wrong data entry no cross check, do not know how much test is reliable.

      I worked in new Manipal hospital kharadi as a staff nurse .after maternity leave I joined duty.but I request to manager to give general duty or morning duty but they not allow to give morning duty.before every staff after maternity leave they given OPD duty and general duty.but for me they not allow.they said coupalsory night duty hv to do.because of my baby is just 6 month old.i can't do nigth duty.so I leave these job.

        Manipal hospital, Old airport road.
        Yest I did following lab test at Manipal TSH, FT4, Total Vit D and AMH. These test cost me 10400, and today I checked with Thyrocare, they are charging 3010Rs for same test. Manipal has clearly taken 75% excess on all test. I can understand charging double but charging 75% is way too much. They were also not emergency tests of something.

            It was a very disappointing visit to doctor jayant jaswal ENT doctor at Manipal dwarka today, as the doctor was very rude and had no manners whatsoever how to speak to the patient, calling the patient bhaiya aajao and then saying ‘you won’t look like Madhuri Dixit even after you get your nose corrected’ is a very rude thing to say. What kind of doctor does Manipal dwarka hires? Highly mannerless, uncouth, doctor.

              Biopsy report

              No right information on the biopsy report provided. Every day I have to call and enquire just to know that reports will be ready tomorrow, afternoon and than evening. I have no clue what is the problem. Response from the calls sounds so neglecting and ignorant....

                The Sputum culture report has not been shared from last 7 days and the team is now not even sure where did they mix the sample. An absolute catastrophic lab functioning. They compromised on patient's condition sho is now hospitalised in a different hospital because Manipal, Whitefield failed go give the reports which the Doc can use.

                  My sister is getting admitted as the doctor recommended is from Manipal . When we went to check on estimates lady called there’s us telling if we take special room our doctor and operation charge will change . How ethical is this your overal charge will be as per the room we take . What will people do if you are charging chargers like 5 stars .. this is unbelievable. Medical system is minted money in patients grave...

                  One rude parking supervisor by name Rajesh asked patients die at the parking for his own inefficiency to provide or manage parking of vehicles… how insensitive man working at the premises of a hospital like Manipal old airport road
                  He Mia guided many cars to get out of the building for take extra rounds

                    I am very upset with Manipal. I regret having booked health package for my father here. Reasons are plenty first website shows audiometry and sonomamogram or mammogram as package included for which I paid 6400 but at the end get to know it’s for women then why have you kept this package mentioned for men ? I could have very well gone for the comprehensive men’s package instead of the active health package for men. Secondly when you will start the process post 8:30 and for my father blood collected was at close to 9 why do you specify that customers be here by 7:30 I reached around 7:40 then I had to wait inspite of payment done thru online appointment and pre register ? Plus after coming here I get to know for walkins it’s 30% off then why I had to book online. It’s a total chaos at Malleswaram branch with old people running from one room to another. Why can’t atleast post pandemic you make it little more organised so that overlaps in humans are minimal. Instead you have created so many confusions to make it more. Some donkey ladies have been deployed at this branch who just don’t understand your concerns.to name a few miss Geetha and miss Asha.

                      Near Baliga block security behaviour is very rude. If pass is there then also they will scold the patient relatives. They will make them to wait hours together. Please change the security and inform them to behave properly.

                        I'm an international patient . i came to do a covid test for travelling purposes.
                        i have been sent from billing to wellness clinic to billing to international lounge
                        i'm registered but they want to send me to international counter to do billing.
                        i have been waiting inside this empty loung since 8 am.
                        none of the staff bothered to show up and are late.
                        the quality of the service has gone down since covid. the staffs have a i don't give a damn attitude

                          I had admitted my father KC jauhari last friday 30th July with no advance payment as he is CGHS member.
                          6th Aug I got him discharged by paying full amount around 9pm.
                          Same night around 11pm I had to admit him in emergency as his sugar level got drastically dropped.

                          He was admitted in emergency and ones rtpcr was done Manipal billing team asked for 5000 which was 1 week before 10000 in advance.
                          I had not paid in advance when I had admitted him 1 week before.. Why there is inconsistency in the policy it's like you are in a market and you have to bargain
                          Is it a charitable hospital I doubt that
                          Told them that I will pay at the time of discharge as usual as he is on CGHS and aa per that no advance payment is supposed to be done however they denied admission. My father is still in emergency while I am writing this.

                          No consistency in the policy.
                          Anywhere in CGHS hospitals we have never paid in advance .

                              My aunt was hospitalised on Monday (01/08/2021).Her BP was shooting up for that they had to keep her in ICU for treatment and observation. ICU day staff was extremely helpful and kind. But female nurse at night were very rude, don’t have manners, no experience to handle any kind of patients. Whenever my aunt used to ask her for medicine she used to start acting like her in front of everyone and no senior staff stopped her for misbehaving.Even junior doctors were enjoying the show. Pathetic treatment from such a reputable hospital.There should be strict action taken against such staffs. Management of Manipal hospital your staffs are Totally out of your control.Kindly look into the behaviour of your staff.

                                My wife got admitted on manipal hospital on 28th July 2021. She (shivali rai) got discharged on 29th July 2021. Her regd no is MH[protected].
                                We got referred from BEL organization.
                                At the the time of discharge it was noticed that the addmission date was erroneously mentioned as 27th July 2021 in all the documents.
                                Please rectify the same and send the correct documents at the earliest.

                                    Manipal whitefield gives appointment at 11 AM where us they make us wait will 6 PM, even to pregnent ladies. Unprofessional and lags discipline. Request hospital authorities to provide doctors and staffs training on time management and urge them to value other's time.
