The Concerned,
I have exchanged my 18 Month old Alto k10 [KA09Z5253] and purchased New Ritz VDI - Grey color delivered on 15th June 2012 from Friendly motors.[KA09MA2326 -Purchased in my wife's name Dr Babitha] . During delivery there were minor scratches on the body , when informed about this during delivery to the sales person Mr Kishen , he promised me to look after it during first service[promised me entire body polish]. I was convinced (unwillingly) and drove the vehicle towards temple for pooja.
On the way, I could notice a remarkable noise of the engine, though diesel engines makes more noise, i have driven new dzire,swift also ritz demo where i did not notice this much of a noise. This was kind of rattling , irritating or some kind of metallic abrasion sound. Meanwhile,
To my surprise , the odometer was not counting further than the 36Kms which was shown during delivery, and I was shocked to see the speedometer needle sleeping at 0 kms point while the vehicle is moving!!.
I called up the sales person and informed about all these, and i got a ready-made answer from him saying that in some of the vehicles it will be forgotten to plug it before delivery, its just a minor work and it'll be done on the very next morning and regarding noise, diesel engines make more noise and since its a new vehicle it'll make more noise and suggested me to wait until the first service. Since i was already disheartened by that time , i just kept quite and performed pooja and took the vehicle on the very next day 16th morning to Friendly Motors , [near RTO circle Mysore]. I was attended by the same sales person and he insisted me to bring the vehicle to the basement. A mechanic opened the bonnet and just plugged the speedometer/odometer cable [may be in 5 secs].
I drove the vehicle until the odometer clicked the min requirement for the first service,dropped it to the MASS- Friendly motors Near NIE college Mysore. Complained about all the above issues, service was done and the vehicle was ready for the delivery. I test driven and found very very marginable reduction in noise and the Service engineer - Pasha and works manager Mr. Mohanraj asked me to wait for 500 more kms as it is under observation and asked me to come back if it didn't stop. Obviously it didn't and i bought back and dropped the vehicle again.
This time i was having a strong doubt about the genuine-ness or new-ness of the vehicle since the odometer was purposefully disconnected after being recorded a 36kms mark. As i knew the GM - Service of Maruti/Mandovi/Mysore , he had told me that nobody knowingly or unknowingly would do that in any of the Authorised MS dealers. When i asked about all these to the Work manager in charge Mr Sunil , he told me all this non sense that "some of the vehicles will be driven to the promotional events held at various cities as there will be displays of the cars, during that time we disconnect the odometer so that the customers should not miss and get the full benefit of 40000kms warranty". Mr Mohan raj said that he needs 3 days to fix the issue as he needs to use some suzuki diagnostic kit and i agreed to leave the vehicle.
During the service [repeated job after 500 kms observation] , they have replaced hydraulic lashes and rocker arms of the engine, and i test drove the vehicle along with Mr. Sunil. I was half convinced since i very sure that there is still scope for noise reduction. [I also drive new dzire and swift owned by my colleagues very often]. Also i had to literally shout and quarrel at the with the work manager and sales person for not attending the scratches [during delivery] on the vehicle.
Later , I drove 1000 kms (approx) more and the engine noise is in peak and the turbo in inefficient and I am really very angry but helpless at this time and dropped the vehicle again. Its been 2 days and i am still awaiting a call from the service team to recieve the car with a fault free engine. This time i have contacted GM-Service Mr. Barath (through phone) and requested to take special care.
I have decided to post my complaint here and i have questions to the - Maruti Suzuki as follows,
1.Can the vehicle be delivered in such a condition that the speedometer/odometer disconnected!!?
2.If your service engineer is true, can you sell a used vehicle i.e used for promotional events to the customers as a new vehicle?
3.Can an engine of a new vehicle be in such a disastrous condition ? Its ridiculous.
I strongly demand the compensation for the harassment I am going through, My time , My patience and I strongly demand a replacement of the car and get me a new complaint free vehicle. Please track my vehicle no KA09MA2326 and kindly act ASAP.

    Appointment offer letter

    Maruti Suzuki — faulty engine

    Dear sir

    Have bought a k series wagon r from DD motors in 2010 number DL3CBC4633, the car after running 5000 kms developed a technical snag it stops while running in full speed repated visits to rohan motor work shop mohan co operative has failed to give results this car has turned into a killer machine it stops while running jamming brakes, steering and other parts of the cars its a wagon r vxi k series engine I have written repeated mails to u which u have perhaps not even seen and also talking to mr. Dibyanshu was useless as he was rude and misbehaved over phone and refused to provide any services ....I need an immediate replacement of this car to save my life as it running in 14000 kms and the R&D which started from 5000 kms has reaped no results please save my life and replace this car or some day I will be hit by a running vehicle tailing me!!!!! Hoping for quick help

      I booked shift dzire vdi in name of mahesh gupta may 2008 & paid rs.51000/- to the dealer k p automotives (p) ltd.Jaipur as booking amount.They had not delivered the car to me one pretext or the other and used turkology practices.we have given notice for payments of booking amount together with interest.I talked with Mr.Shankshak Poddar who had committed to short out the problem faced by me but all in vain.They returned the amount of the booking in March 2011 after perusal.As committed earlier payment of intrest which they had not paid as yet.

        This is with regard to my 7th paid service.

        I gave my access for servicing at the following service center

        The service provided was very poor. I was not given any call as to when i can collect my access and even if my access is ready.
        when i went to pick up the bike i was made to wait for 1 hour because the manager was not available and i was never informed about that.
        Because i couldn't pick up my bike on time and had to come the next day to pick it up ,it was left in the workshop.
        My serviced access drenched in the rain the whole night because of rain and on asking the service center guys i was told that , its not their problem that their roof leaks.
        when i asked the manager to give me the complaint log book, i was offered a blank white paper to write down the complaint.The store manager told that the complaint book has gone to the head office.
        Is this the way service centers are suppose to deal with their customers?

          I purchased a car from Maruti, having model number- swift Dzire LDI BS4 M, and every thing was right on time as per the scheduled given by the company on the service book at the time of purchased ( Service & Regular check up).
          Car was stopped all off a sudden on the road in running condition. We felt there is smoke from engine and then we open the bonate and checked as per our understanding and engine couldn't start again then we complaint to the Maruti Help Line and Magic auto Help Line number to get checked and rectify the problem then they took away the car at their Service Station. Finally they had inspected the vehicle and took it away to the work shop. I have received Gate Pass where the things was ok.

          Then after 3 days they called us and said that your engine has been damaged and it can't be done through under warranty so now we are rejecting your warranty due to, there is a dant in front side bumper so your radiator has been damaged. After that we approach consumer court and log our complaint and it is still pending to decide whether it will be covered by warranty or not to be covered. The car has been in Work Shop since jan 2012.

          It's the clear case of mental harassment and business loss and it is in consumer court from last 6 months and we are not able to find out the solution and get judgement by the court. They have given us 3 hearing date to decide and again there is no conclusion.

          Kindly help us to get it resolved as per your understanding.

            Maruti Dealer delivered defective car (Power steering not working) to me, and after several reminders they were not changing the car even i went to the dealer the next day.

            Then i filled a case in consumwer court (case number 817/2009)and still its been 3yrs but still no decision has ben taken.

            Kindly advise what should i do now

              After using for Activa Long 6 years i choosen to opt Suzuki Access 125,intially i good response but as time goes realistic problems arising,
              Activa is better than Access 125,expect looks nothing is there in Access 125,every 2 months my bike tyre gets punture,

                I have purchase a vehicle from Bagga Link, Patparganj, New Delhi, they are the authorized true value dealer of Maruti Suzuki. As per true value policy they are bother to transfer the vehicle in the name of purchaser. I have purchased this car almost 1.5 year back and when I had not received the RC in my name, I Start to follow up to get the updated status and they told me some issue in get the same done and assure me to do the same. I again follow up with them and they told me to bring the car at their showroom to get the vehicle engine number blueprint and again assure to do the same. I again follow up and the same done every time when i follow up they told me a new story. Now they are not even picking up my phone and not responding. I have waste my lots of money and time till date in these follow ups. and than before 15 days back I put a complaint with Maruti Customer Care, but they are not responding also, on my every followup mail they give the respond that they have forwarded the same to concerned department and thanks for your paitience. I have many of time call to every person at Bagga Link from Executive to AVP level. But no one is able to resolve the issue.

                  Hello, this is to bring in your kind notice that, how the maruti dealer "m/s rana motors gurgaon" is spoiling the image of maruti. i have bought the vehicle bearing regn no DL12CC0394 in Feb 2011 and after that i have got the service done in June at approx 9000 KM and after that i haven't got any follow-up from the dealer. when i have called them just as a query that when my cars service is due it was already due by few days and done approx 20000KM. surprisingly within 20000KM my vehicle engine has following issues:-1. engine vibration. 2. poor pick-up.3. noise from suspension.4. noise from brakes.5. horns does not work.6. body noise.7. uneven tyre worn out.8. steering not centralized.9. Engine vibrates while stalling the engine. 10. tyre buldge.

                  Despite of solving the issues they(dealer official) have given me a nice estimate whereas i have got extended warranty and now as per them nothing is covered under warranty.

                  My tyres and suspension has gone within 20000KM, as per them wheel alignment and wheel balancing should be done at every 5000KM. But nobody bother to inform me the same. And is its is required at every 5000KM then why its not mentioned in their service schedule.

                  And today is third day my vehicle is standing with them(RANA MOTORS GURGAON WORKSHOP) and quite obviously i am scared, as my vehicle is quit new.

                  I would request you to kindly look into this matter and try to resolve it ASAP.

                  Dear Sir/Madam,

                  MY NAME IS Manoj A S, MOBILE NO.91- [protected], MAIL ID IS - [protected]@gmail.com, I HAVE MARUTI SUZULI WITH REGISTRATION NO. KA 17 N

                  7123, WE ARE TAKING REGULAR FREE AND PAID SERVICES FROM Shruti Motors, [PB Road, Davangere] OF MARUTI.

                  On 6th Jan 2014, i took it to for checkup, my car as i was informed from the mechanic had 2nd gear spring sync issue. I also

                  understand that this is a known problem! i was informed that to get the issue fixed it would take maximum of 1.5 days and charges

                  of around 6K.

                  On 7th Jan 2014, i left the car for service and then the team came to know about the extended warranty and i had asked to warranty

                  should cover the repairs.

                  Its been 10 days, i have not received my car. Everyday i visit the motors i am told some story of spare part not being available.
                  This has been very very disappointing to say the least and angered me to the core.

                  The very purpose of going in for Maruti car (within the first month of release with difficulty and by paying higher price), is

                  because of the service i expected to be provided. I was of the opinion the spare part availability and service should not be a

                  problem since every city has MS.

                  10 days!!! this has affected my life, families (kids) and my business. Without my car, travelling has been a problem and all the

                  complaints with Shruti motors have falled to deaf ears. I have great patience which has breached, i will be taking it with consumer

                  court if nothing is done at the earliest.

                  I hope my car gets ready as soon as tomorrow and you retain the tiny bit of faith i had in maruti!

                    I have booked maruti suzuki eeco cool cab taxi seven seater with autocreate wheels private limited.55,corporate avenue,shop no 5,6 & 7,saki vihar road, opp.MTNL office Andheri (East), mumbai 400072 Tel no [protected]

                    Mr.Anil gupta (Team leader-sales) offer me Rs 18,000 discount for this eeco seven seater.i paid him Rs 10,000/- on 12/05/2012 By cheque As a booking amount
                    then i paid Rs 3,13,299/- on 04/06/2012 (including Rs 7,000/- depot charges which he didn't told me before) but even then i paid this.
                    Now 27/06/2012 he call me and told me now there is no offer.so you have to pay more money.I told him i am not going to pay anymore money & i am going to compaint to maruti suzuki.


                    I have taken a loan and i am paying interest on that.

                    I am using your cars versa & 7 seater eeco last three years and i find your cars are very good & service from maruti suzuk is best.so i booked 7 seater from your dealer but this dealer disappointed me.he made me seek.

                    He told me he don't care if i complain to you or anywhere else.now his attitude is rude.


                    So please advise me what should i do?

                      I had purchased a Maruti Suzuki Swift Dezire VDI from Machino Techno having the registration number WB06F0695. Date of delivery was 9/12/2010. All services were timely done from Machino Techno. The present mileage is 44243 km
                      We have recently encountered a starting problem due to malfunctioning of the battery which has started around a mileage of 40000km . The EXIDE company of batteries have had a look at the battery problem. The battery has a warranty of 2 years. I have extended the warranty for 3rd and 4th years but still the EXIDE company is refusing to accept the job of setting things right.
                      This unfortunately is a blow at the goodwill of the MARUTI SUZUKI. Please do the needful to solve the problem or else i will have to inform the proper authorities.

                      Now the service people are telling that the battery does not come under the warranty if the car crosses 40,000KM, but the battery always comes under time warranty and not kilometers. Mr. Rajendra Mishra of Maruti in Kolkata also said that he will give me a battery at a discounted rate of Rs. 8000, but when i contacted Exide, the leading battery seller, they told me that the same is costing Rs.7400, without any discount, in exchange of my old battery.

                      I hope strict and quick action will be taken against this and that i will be provided with a replacement as soon as possible.

                        i bought this vehicle 07/06/2012... have not registered yet... my father in law (64yrs) ride this vehicle nearly 40kms speed.. suddenly rear wheel jam and he is fell down the ground.. according to the technician instruction gear box bearing struck inside the gear box.. i could not able to believe that how is possible to dismantle gear box with in 15 days.. what the company did PDI... really pathetic, i am not satisfied about this product..

                          Its very poor on the part of such esteemed organization that after several written & verbal complaints to Mohit Vasudev & Rajeev Gupta complaint officer karnal circle. Sir I am giving calls to these gentlemen on daily basis but my all efforts went in vein, sir m still awaiting response from your side. Sir I purchased Maruti Ertiga Vdi, on 27/4/2012 from Modern Motor, Karnal after 5000 k/m there was problem of poor or missing of power back up. Sir m commuting from karnal to Delhi up & down on daily basis by taxi only due to delayed response from your side. Sir, looking positive response at least from you.

                            I Mr. Surender Pal Chauhan have purchase Wagon R car of registration no. DL 5C K 0269 on 23/03/2012 from T. R. Sawhney Motors Pvt. Ltd. Badli. On 19/June/2012 i went for my 2nd Free Service i gave my car for servicing to Service Assistant Mr. Shri Niwas. At the time of receiving my car i found my foot mats were missing. I complaint this matter to the SA and GM. They assured me that they will search it and if they didn't found them they will give me new set of it or they will pay the amount. But instead of that they were delaying it day by day. From last 4 days 19/June/2012 to 23/June/2012, i was waiting for their response, i went from one department to another and they were making silly excuses like, workers are not present today, they don't have money, GM is busy in meeting, GM is not Present today, etc.
                            So i request you to kindly pay attention towards this problem, and take an effective action towards this matter as soon as possible in 24 hrs . I will be so thankful to you.

                              The servicing of my Suzuki access 125 is still pending for a couple of days...just one servicing has been completed...and the rest no of servicing (5 out of six) is still pending..... i just don know what to do!!! i told the dealer but i didn't get any proper, authenticate or satisfactory answer from them........ just telling it should be done... done & done...... ones i call customer care service, they are saying they have nothing to do... please get it your access at the neighbor district such as Burundian, Murshidabad etc. but hows it possible for me to get a baby bike at long way distance just only for servicing and why should i go for that?????? from them also i didn't get satisfied........ and another important thing is that the showroom (Near Gabgachhi, N.H. -34 is not over here right now, i think that is locked out n converted from "Suzuki to Honda".... not only that my insurance policy is been lapsed for along while, i think its been near about 1 year running i have been facing all these ridiculous problems....................please tell me the solution.... how should i get from the problem out.......................................

                                I have purchased ALTO LXI (top model) from Mohan Motor Udyog Pvt. Ltd. and got the delivery on Jun 14, 2012. To my surprise I do not find any door key hole on the left hand front door. This came to a shock to me as nowhere it is mentioned that the car will not have any door key hole on the left hand front door. All the earlier ALTO models used to have it, and all the brochures of ALTO shows the key hole. The brochure from the dealer (Maruti supplied) also show door key hole. This is a integral part of a car and not accessories! This is a basic necessity as parking in crowded city like Kolkata is a real headache and I cannot afford the luxury of getting into my car only from right hand side. Also I cannot leave it unlocked!!! In addition there are no child locks in place even the child lock holes are present in back doors. This is complete cheating by Maruti Suzuki, as these information are not disclosed to me during booking. I would have not purchased this car at all, if these were clearly mentioned to me during booking. I would like to have missing integral parts of my car from Maruti Suzuki fitted during my first service.

                                Maruti Suzuki Authorized Dealers charge almost Rs. 2000/- per vehicle extra on account of Registration / Road Tax ( apart from the Official charges ) from the buyer of a Vehicle, who is unaware of the happening, since the thrill of possessing a New Maruti is so great that no one goes deeper in the break up and is assured that all is well as he is dealing with a MARUTI SUZUKI Authorized Dealership. Assuming every Dealer is selling approx 3, 000 vehicles per annum . Each Dealer is making an additional unaccounted Rs. 60, 00, 000/- per annum at the expense of the innocent customer. And assuming if the dealership is continuing since the past 25 years a single dealer has straightaway stashed Rs. 15 Crore without the Consumer having come to know of it or the Income Tax Department even having had an inclination of the same .

                                Should it not be made mandatory that the Dealers are asked to hand over the original receipt from the RTO to the buyer of the vehicle ? A Surprise check on the Dealers would go to prove beyond any doubt the said receipt are being retained by the Maruti Suzuki Dealers and not being handed over to the Consumer, just from the point of view of not being found out that an additional amount of Rs. 2000/- per purchase has been swindled.

                                During the past nine months I have drawn this fact to the attention of the senior most officials of Maruti Suzuki who have chosen to ignore my concern and the practice is still prevalent.

                                And it would not be out of place to mention here that with the increase / decrease in price of the vehicle this amount too varies...

                                Well this is just a concern in the interest of our Nation since an additional contribution of Rs. 5 Crore per Maruti Suzuki Authorized Dealer by way of Income Tax to the Government can do wonders to the economy.

                                ON[protected], MY CARS BATTERY WENT DOWN which is happened within 15 km from the maruti service stations only. Eventhough I have got one year warrranty for my OMNI CAR and I MADE AN COMPLAINT TO THE MAURUTI SERVICE CENTRE - VASANTHI AUTOMOBILES. Service peoples told me they make proper arrangements within a day. I have waited for them more than 3 days from the battery down problem. Eventhough i made them several time intimations through call to the vasanthi automobiles people but they didn't make any arrangements. Finally i met the Vasanthi automobile manger Mr. Siva prakasam. He is answering that for battery we wont provide any warranty at all. So it is not our problem and we wont look into at all and u complaint where ever u want.

                                So please sir take some actions against those cheating vasanthi automobile peoples.

                                I gave my car for the fourth service (Wagon R vxi) to popular service centre located at kollam for fourth service.It was a shocking amount of Rs. 5361 that I had to pay for the service.Does a one year old car need such an exorbitant amount for servicing.

                                Maruti Suzuki — noise in door

                                I took my car to Harrison Motors, Panipat for 1st service and told the supervisor about the noise in the right side door. First of all the noise appeared in the car only after driving it just 1000 kms which is too much surprising and secondly no body was able to repair it in an agency of such a reputed organisation.

                                  Dear Sir,



                                  I had purchased a Wagan R car from D.D Motors, Mayapuri, New Delhi-110064 on 19/08/2010 after self survey of market about maruti Suzuki services and quality reputations. But it is very disappointing me after only two years, my car only driven about 10800 KM and being serviced only in maruti authorized services centre D.D Motors, Peeraghari, New Delhi from the date of purchased and it’s maintains was all done on time and there was no problem their in my car till 10/06/2012, on that date my car A.C facing some problems and I gated repaired at D.D Motors, PeeraGhari and taken my car to home after getting the A.C worked done, next morning when I started my car suddenly some smoke came out from car bonnet and I switched off the ignition and called D.D Motors Service centre and they told me to tow the car to their workshop at peeraghari, Delhi. I had done the needful immediately, after checking my car they start making excuses that your car will not be repaired under warranty and you have to pay the charges for the repair because there was some problems in the car 6 month back in the rainy season there was some water gone in oil and that time also they had serviced the car and charged me about 10000.00(Ten Thousand Rupee) for servicing and not told me any thing about problem at that time, were they sleeping at that time or they want this problem to came. Why did not they do the needful at that time, so there is no fault of mine in this case. They had standing my car out side of there workshop and told me that if you are not willing to pay the charges we will not take your car inside in warranty, if this is the quality and services of maruti Suzuki authorized network and there well established car which is only driven about 10800 KM need engine work. It’s a shame for the company.



                                  I request you to take immediate action and repairing the car under warranty otherwise I will take legal action against the company and file a case in consumer court.

                                    On 6th of May, 2012, when my father (82 years old) was travelling (not driving) in my car Maruti Suzuki Dzire, all on a sudden the car veered off to one side and hit the boundary wall on the side of the bylane he was travelling in. In this accident, my father hit his head strongly on the roof of the car and nasal bleeding was observed. He had to be rushed to the hospital where he was admitted to ICU. He was found to have bleeding in his brain. He was under observation for 48 hours. Presently he is out of danger but not completely free from problems. The diagnosis was that the car seemed to have a broken tie rod end. The broken tie rod end caused the disconnection between steering wheel and tyre and control was lost. This caused the veering off of the car to one side. The car was bought on 5th August 2010 and had done only around 11000 kms at the time of the accident. It is unbelievable that a new car developed a problem like this which is clearly a manufacturing defect and this definitely points to poor quality control. The accident happened in a bylane and when the speed of the car was very less. Had it been in the main road which was hardly 5 meters away, the result would have been disastrous and could have ended up in fatality.

                                    A complaint was raised with the manufacturer Maruti Suzuki Ltd. via email and the complaint reference with them is Y501-1/W[protected]. To this complaint which was emailed on 15th of May, 2012, Maruti had responded on 16th of May, 2012 itself by acknowledging the receipt of the complaint and assigning the above reference number and saying that their Regional Service Manager at Kochi was being asked to investigate into the matter and to extend necessary assistance. After this, I tried contacting RSM at their Kochi office but for long I was not allowed to get to him. I was told that he was either in a meeting or not available. I want to state here that RSM or anybody he authorized, never bothered to send a reply mail or contact me in this regard even when they were fully aware of the happenings which speaks very low of the so-called very popular Maruti. After finally getting through to the RSM, Kochi, he offered to do an investigation. The investigation concluded that the tie rod got severe damage due to external impact which resulted into said accident. It also said that the cause of said accident is not attributed to any manufacturing defect in the vehicle but due to external hit/source only. It is to be noted that other than this finding, they did not supply any any technical reasons which lead them to such a conclusion and also did not supply any supporting documents/pictures and any other evidence which lead them to arrive at such conclusion. And they closed the complaint. I would request you take appropriate action in this regard and ask the manufacturer to provide proper compensation for the difficulties we were put to.
