This is regarding my policy number[protected] that I hold with Maxlife.
On January 7th 2016, I received 2 calls from the mobile number - [protected] and on January 8th 2016, I received 5 calls from the same mobile number, from one Ms Riya Khanna, stating she is from Max Life Insurance.
She told me that my Policy due date was in March but that if I paid on 8th of Jan, I would get a 10% discount on the policy amount and I would need to pay only Rs. 100000. She said she would send me the NEFT details to which I would need to make the transfer.
Riya Khanna also sent me an email from a registered max life email Id of hers with links to the website etc.
However, I did not get the NEFT details from her. So I looked up the internet and from maxlife website (http://www.maxlifeinsurance.com) - I made the payment through NEFT to the following details:
Ms. Riya Khanna called me again from the same number above, after I made the transfer and asked me whether I made and to which account. When I mentioned that I transferred to the NEFT details from the website, she cut the call and never called back.
On 20th Jan 2016 I received a letter from Max Life as attached, saying that there is an excess amount of Rs. 90000 against my policy.
Hence when I made a call to max life's customer care, Mr. Deepak Hiteshi verified that Rs. 90000 has been received and is yet unallocated. He also mentioned that there is no 10% discount as per Max Life policies, and I will have to pay the balance of Rs. 10000.
I have raised a request with max life to look into this matter and take it up seriously. However, the only resolution they can give me is to "Ignore fraud calls" and "be more careful".
MaxLife definitely is not a customer friendly company and they are taking their customers for a ride. Instead of working on the complaint details and taking action on the person who is attempting to make fraud calls, all they can do is ask the customer to be more careful. There is a major fraud happening with some insider even having access to emails of maxlife, sending what customers think are valid mails. Maxlife is refusing to acknowledge this

We are in regular touch with the customer care team of Max Life insurance. They are totally inclined towards the agent with whom I never met. The company is not ready to cancel my policies under free look period option of 15 days. Rather they are delaying the time and trying to suppress this matter. They are insisting me to meet and discuss on the subject again and again.
I have asked them to cancel my policies under free look period as I m going ahead with this option only. If the company refuses to cancel under free look period then I shall justify the mis-selling allegations in these policies and I shall justify with the supporting evidences in that case. The customer care team has set a precondition to compulsory meet with the concerned office head and then they will decide in free look cancellation.
Why the company is not ready to take a stand as per the available material facts of non delivery of policy packs till date?? As per the available evidences, I do have a clear free look period option of 15 days which can not be neglected and declined in the eye of law. If I am going ahead with my free look period option then why the company is insisting for face to face meeting with the concerned branch office head. I shall be happy to meet with that office head if the company declines my request in free look period.
In that case, I shall justify mis-selling with the documentary evidences and shall be glad to meet these people.
I am travelling overseas on a business your right now and shall remain engaged for quite some time.
This is unethical and unfair behaviour shown by Max life insurance because they are not adhering to regulations set by IRDAI for the policyholders interests. I am passing through excessive mental agony due to Max Life Insurance.
