day before yesterday ie. on 26th june a senior citizen climbed the bus near apollo hospital in route no E18(going towards parrys) at 5.33 pm in the evening. before stepping up in the stairs the conductor signaled the driver to start which resulted in falling down in the road from the running bus. without pleasing and showing any curtesy the conductor abused very bad words against the old man ( enna perusu saavarthukku vera vandi kadaikalaiya een en uyire vangara vayaa malae savvugrakki) the oldman was looking very decent and seems to be well educated. seeing all these i got angry and shouted the conductor on his misconduct. but he doesnt seems to care our arguments and in turn from the busitself i tried for the customercare dept of mtc and nobody lifted the phone. its very unfair to see the poor service from entire department. if you have any doubt anytime you can check with this number [protected] this is mtc emergency number. service has become a dream for every indian .hoping the dreams come true oneday.

    Any time time have you look in to the Porur to Centrol and Centrol to Porur buses are verrrrry russs i am travelling by bus from Ramapuram to centrol daily buses have from ramapuram to centrol but very russs in the morning and evening time . Every day while going to office at 9.30 in Guindy bus stop have Ticket checking that ticket collecter seeing every day but they didnt care about this problem simply checking 5 or 10 people and they will relax

    please please please please please please please Please please provide Extra buses for going to centrol from ramapuram

      Respected Sir,

      My Name is Sujatha Subramanim working as software engineer. Its very bad experience for me traveling in D70, Bus no. MTC Conductor_Bus no. TN-01 N 9627, at about 3.45 Pm (It reached Velachery), I boarded the bus with my handbag and two books bag also and simply asked him to give tickets for 10 Rupees. No crowd were there. Only 6 people were sitting in bus. He immediately scolded me using filty language and asked me to come and collect ticket. He refused to give ticket at my place and otherwise asked me to get down in a very bad manner, this is ridiculous.!!!
      These people will spoil the reputation of MTC & Tamilians as well.

      I want to complaint on conductor on duty at Route No. D70 TN-01 N 9627 for his such a rude behavior with passengers

      If MTC will take some serious action on such Rude and misbehaving Bus crews The service will improve and help MTC to keep its good reputation

        I was at Nesapakkam bus stop waiting for 18M bus at night 9.30 pm a few days before. I waited till 11.15 pm for that route bus to come. Disappointed, i left back. Because even a single bus of that route didn't come. I don't know what was the reason, why it didn't come. Normally that bus route has very less frequency service, i know that. But within a time span of 1.45 hrs, if it didn't come, then surely it would be subjected to people's anger. I got very much anger more than my disappointment. Really frustrated with what happened. So i request you to view this as a suggestion as well to increase the route's frequency.

          Sir,

          I catched the bus route number 515 at 8.30 PM from Thiruporur to Tambaram bus no TN 01 N 8452
          TAI -2327. While on traveling noticed that the driver started smoking inside the bus itself
          While we group of passengers asked him to stop smoking inside the bus, but he didn't paid attention
          to our words and continued smoking. During the entire journey for about 2 hrs he did like that. After sometime both driver and conductor start shouting on us with very bad words in front of public.

          When we tried to complaint about the incident in the Tambaram depot but no one listening our words.


          Please take necessary action on both the conductor and driver

            I am from K.K.NAGAR area. I used to get 11H or 11G bus from ESI hospital stop at 7:30 a.m. Today(12/3/2012) i waited for more than half an hour for the above bus service, but after half an hour three (3) buses came one after another. This happens most of the time. So please, make the bus timings at regular interval. Kindly do the needful.

              ( 03/03/2012) I catch the bus 12B from Luz to Kutcherry road, I gave 10Rs to conductor for 3 Rs ticket, he asked me change i said i dont have a change, thn he said he will when i go. I accept it. When my stop came i asked the conductor for the change. He said" go bring from the home, y u coming without change". bus is standing in stop, i said i want to get down so give me balance 7Rs. He gave wissel the bus started moving, then the conductor gave the balance amount 7Rs. i said stop, but conductor & driver was not at all listening to me. Then they drop me in the Raffels School Stop. I asked driver "why r u not stopping", he said " are u sleeping why dint you get down in the last stop", i said " its a conductor mistake not mine, any way i shouted the to you to stop why u dint stopped". Then the driver talked very badly, & the conductor was doing nothing... All the passengers are seeing me, it was very embarrassing to me... I feel very ashamed ...

              So please sir, Kindly take action against the conductor & Driver,& should be punish hardly... If they dont like to do the public service then why are they coming for the job...

              I dont have a Bus No. But i have a ticket no: 23894-VA- 06.
              Timing Between : 2.15 pm - 2.20 pm.

              Hello, I am residing in koyambedu and i am working near to mount road and need to reach my office at8.45 pm.while i try to get the bus of 27b, most of the time the buses is not available at the time of 7pm to 9 pm, sometimes, the buses will not stop at the terminal of icici bank in koyambedu grade seperator.so i am going to office very late and it made me to loss of pay for many days.so please check this problem and allot the buses for that time, it will help many of them ...

                There is no freqency of buses from poonamallee to central via KMC [101,153,553],there are buses but none of are in time during 6am to 6,30am ,some time 4 buses are coming on behind one and public catches the first one ,all other buses are going with less public and in the particular time is important for people who are going to noth chennai for work they need to catch the 7.10am local train at central,
                and more over you can see route no 66,54 and 25G gets operat in numbers buses ,which waste most of the buses are going with very few public.
                pls take necessary action.

                  1. There is bad mentality prevailing in Conductors and Drivers in MTC bus service. Making people run here and there that too in peak hours without stopping the bus in the bus stops is not at all a decent thing to do. This does not justify the high ticket fare collected from public. A quality service need to be provided to the public who is paying so high (without much of opposition), for a public transport inspite of all their other high expenses. Treating public as stray dogs is not at all acceptable. If the service is regularised and operated efficiently the buses wont be over crowded and the public will feel the convinience in the Buses. But to help the Share autos it is felt that the MTC is purposefully treating public as a cheap objects. So MTC persons! kindly stop this attitude and treat the public as human beings and dont punish entire public due to the mistakes done by some one or two persons.

                  2. There is one more bad mentality prevailing in Conductors and Drivers in MTC bus service. Making small school going children run here and there that too in school hours without stopping the bus in the bus stops is a very ugly and cheap thing to do. Showing our courage to small children is the most indecent things and it wont lead the children to a good behaviour. It will in turn teach the children how to board or get down from a running buses, How to travel in foot board and all which is preached by MTC as illegal things. And remember there may be some children of conductors and drivers as well in the crowd who are suffering. So think children as a soft beings and have mercy on them. So MTC persons! dont show your power to the children. Instead show love.

                  3. T51, c51 are the two key routes in the Tambaram - Sozhinganallur route during the Peak hours. Most of the crowd use these routes during the Week days for going to their work. But these services have no definite time and frequency during the peak hours. So each bus becomes over crowded and there are lot of risks associated with that. It does not matter that how many buses are there in these routes. But the main factor is how frequently and efficiently these routes are operated during peak hours to avoid inconvinience to the public. So kindly try to keep a regular frequency for C51, T51 during peak hours to reduce the inconvinience to the office - goers and help the public. There may be some other routes in some part of chennai experiencing the same problems. Kindly address that too as well

                  4. The Route Number C51 (Adyar - Tambaram), V51 (T Nagar - Tambaram via madippakkam), M21 (Velachery - Tambaram) were extended till Tambaram West recently. But when these buses start from Tambaram West there is no stop till MCC college which is more inconvenient to the passengers coming from West. Moreover there is no intermediate crossing in the road to reach to the starting place also. Because of this the main purpose of extending these buses to the West is not at all justified. So it would be helpful for the general public if a stop is introduced near (Tambaram) SETC bus stand for C51, V51 and M21.

                  5. Also when C51, V51 and M21 has no definite place in MCC for stopping the buses. The drivers stop the buses wherever they want and this is one more inconvenience for the public. So kindly provide a standard place where all the buses will come and stop near MCC.

                    This is to inform you about the rude behaviour & cheating of the passengers by the conductor in MTC bus.
                    Find the bus detail below

                    Route number - 500B
                    Route - Broadway to chengalpattu
                    Bus number - TN 01 N 9463
                    Bus Type - A/C
                    Tambaram timing - 11.30 AM


                    I was travelling from chrompet to Mahindracity and my fare was Rs 33.00 ( between 11.15 am and 11.55 am. I gave 100 rupees to the conductor and he & driver joined together argued with me saying that there is no change with him.So again I gave 5 rupees coin(Total 105 rupees) so that he can give me back 72 rupees. He started with rude behaviour by saying me to collect the remaining change from the government.
                    After the argument he asked me to get down from the bus & I kept quiet since I was in the middle of the stops. He wrote on the back side ticket as 100 ruppes as if he received only 100 rupees instead of 105 rupees. When I asked this while getting down in mahindra city he didnt responded properly & asked me to collect the change from the another passenger and was very rude. Finally I lost my 5 rupees.
                    I request the authorities to take necessary action against this person.

                    Bad behaviour of the conductor as well as cheating the passengers & scolding by taking extra money from the passenger:

                    Today i was traveled From Vandalur Zoo to perungalathur, i gave the Rs, 10 ( Ticket Price is Rs, 6) he just given the ticket, he didn't said anything about the remaining balance Rs 4, some times back i asked what about my balance rupees, he said rudely I've no change to collect your balance next time & also he scolding use the Bad words, Finally i am not received my balance Rs 4.

                    Bus Stop: Vandalur Zoo. (Starting).
                    Ticket No: 308195 (MB 34).
                    Date & Timings: 18/12/2011 & 6:40 AM to 7:00 AM

                    He didn't patch the Batch so not able to mentioned he's name.

                    I've request the Transport AUTHORITIES TO give the punishment the Conductor & don't happens this kind of behaviors in Futures.

                    Hi there,

                    I was travelling from SIPCOT to Hindustan University(padur) on[protected] at 6.50 PM (approx). The bus conductor was charged me Rs.11 instead of Rs.9. I asked conductor that what is the charge to padur(main stopping), he dint respond first. Again I asked, he kept his face awkwardly and said Rs.9. Please be noted there would be 200-300 metres between Hindustan and Padur stopping. But, he charged me Rs.11. Since, it is a rupee of two, I left him. But, why i am complaining here is, i have suffered many times like this. In many situations, they are charging extra amount instead of correct amount.

                    I have noted down the Bus reg number.
                    It is,

                    The bus no is M5. Please take a appropriate action for this incident and also provide the contact number to give complaint instantly.

                      There is a sudden reduction of frequency of buses plying between saidapet and OMR - 19B, 519, M7.
                      Services has suddenly reduced which leaves the public in a great difficulty. Students and office goers suffer a lot unable to keep up the time to college/work. This is not applicable to morning hours alone. Throughout the day, the frequency has been reduced which has put us into trouble.
                      At least between 8 and 12, frequency can be made to 10 minutes, to cater to the huge crowd during the time period.

                      Note: We see Volvos plying often, which is not very affordable by all people "everyday".

                        I am travelling in 12G from West mambalam Imdian Bank stopping to Alwarpet(Anchaneyar Kovil) at the morning time the bus is always full and we cannot in steps also. if i miss 8.45am bus then there is no bus for long time. At evening time is too bad to travel 12G while half an hour once no bus is provided. If the bus came it will stop in bus stop it stands before 100 feet the bus stop or otherwise after 100 feet. and some time it is stopping in bus stop. The bus is all time crowd bus... poover service.. no timings for this bus 12G...

                        I totally agree with mahalaxmi. i also travel by 12G regularly. the condition of most of the buses is pathetic-seats are ripped off, windows cant be lowered (you cant even touch those windows -they are so filthy and jammed ). the condition of these buses is worst during the rains- nobody can sit on the window seat in all those buses which have cloth seats becoz they are all soaking wet in the rain.

                        wish somebody would do something about this
                        I am travelling in 18Efrom Ramapuram to central at the evening time the bus is always full and we cannot in steps also. if i miss 6pm bus then there is no bus for long time.                           Today i have traveled in a Bus from Madhavaram to High court.The bus number is 38H.
                          The bus number is TN-01-4214. It started in the terminus at 7:15Pm.
                          While traveling in the bus i found that there is no horn in the bus.
                          It runs through crowded area with this fault. Please take necessary steps to rectify this faults.

                            Dear Sir/Madam,

                            I took MTC Bus from Tambaram Sanatorium to TB Hospital . I bought the ticket for the TB hospital. i told the conductor to stop the bus at TB hospital. He blow the whilse for the sake of doing. i have told him immediately to stop the bus again the bus did not stop & then i finally get down in MIT bus stop & walk to my home. Adding to that that day was raining. Doing unknowingly is fine. But doing knowingly is punishable.

                            Dear Sir/ Madam,

                            This note is to complain the misbehaviour of the conductor of Bus 570, starting from CMBT at 7:50 AM today (11-Sep-2012). I had to get down at Kumaran Nagar but because I forgot the stop name, I took a ticket to Shollinganallur, as I knew that both stops cost the same Rs.50. When I got up to get down at the Kumaran Nagar stop, the conductor asks me to show the ticket, which I did. Then he asked the driver not to stop at Kumaran Nagar stop as I took ticket for Shollinganallur, while both would have cost the same I questioned. He then started using foul words at me, and the driver did not react. I quarrelled with him but of no use. He stopped the bus at the next stop Satyabhama, and I went walking.

                            I was so furious that time, that I threw the ticket, so I dont have the number. But I had to bring this to your attention & notice.

                              The commuters whom to reach to Tiruvallur and beyond the areas during evening peak hours, are facing hardship for not getting the MTC buses. All the buses of route no, 566A,596,597,and 501 during the
                              peak-hours from 5.30pm to 8.30 pm are heavily crowded, because, they all are coming from the interior city areas, from Tambaram, T'Nagar, Vadapalani, CMBT etc,, So the commuters face very difficult to board these buses during that time.

                              If the authorities, can introduce cut services, between Poonamallee to Tiruvallur and Tiruttani, will become a relief to the commuters during the peak- hours from evening 5.30 to - 8.30.

                              I hope the authorities will look into this matter, and take necessary steps immediately.

                                There is no proper bus facilities during peak hours from Tiruvallur to Poonamallee and to other areas to the city ( Via Manavalan Nagar- Aranvoyal, Vellavedu, Thirumazhisai) The MTC is operating only "DELUXE" buses , 566A,597,596,501,596P etc., There is no LSS, or, "M" service white board buses are not at all introduced in above said route Why? we can see many LSS and M service white boards in almost in all the suburban and city areas, but not at all in the above said route. ( all the mafusal buses like route no 97N, 97S,97, and T17) are completely withdrawn after introducing the above said "DELUXE" buses. Why is this partiality? why not the LSS or M services buses are not introduced in the above said particular route. Do the authoroties think that all commuters are rich people and offord to travel in Deluxe buses and luxury buses.

                                I hope that the authorities will take this complaint as a serious one and act accordingly.

                                Daily i traveled in 21A (Pallavaram to Thiruvanmiyoor). This is only one bus on this rout. You know about this rout. This bus is very very crowd. Please arrange the one more bus.

                                  This ISABELLA SARAVANARAJ, age 29 yrs female broaded the bus no 52b on 13/6/2011, from Gunidy at 2.00p.m, I had asked for the ticket to travel upto NANDANAM MILITARY QUARTERS , Which has been announced as a busstop for all the lss, green board and the yellow board , since 7mths as per my knowledge , but this particular conductor , the bus no. CRI 1909 TN-01/N 7405, was very harsh saying that it will not stop there , i repeatedly insisted that the buses are stoping but he was not ready to take notice of it, he told me that the bus will only stop there and told me that it will only stop at S.I.E.T, OR NANDANAM HOUSING BROAD,after a conversation with him i just moved and had a seat after sometime when nandanam had come i approached the DRIVER and asked him stop saying that there is a stoping there but he argued with me saying that to talk to the conductor but finally stopped the bus, meanwhile when i got out of the bus the conductor abuse me with flitty language with the local madras slag in front of the public from the moving bus.Actually initially we had your staff members diverting the buses to stop at that particular junction , but after some time , thing s are not working.Nowadays we only have yellow broad and green broad only a had full of white board, and we even have a government organisation THE PAY AND ACCOUNTS OFFICE and we have children and office goers , elderly people , using the bus service to move further down to differnt locations if this situation prevails please tell us how do we go about it, ITS BEEN VERY DIFFICULT TO SAY THAT MTC HAS SUCH ILL MANNERED CONDUCTORS. I WOULD REQUIRE PROPER RESPONSE FOR THE SAME MY NO IS [protected], AND ADDRESS 1/39, ANBU COLONY NANDANAM, CHENNAI 35.

                                    when i was travelling by 11 H deluxe bus two men were seated in women's row. i was 7 month pregnant. fearing that someone would hit me i told them to get up. they didnt do so. i told the conductor. instead of asking them to get up the conductor told me that they wold sit like that and that it is not his duty to tell them. he told me not to talk for my rights and that he does not bother if someone hit against me... i had to travel standing all the way from ashok pillar to parrys. almost every conductor shut their mouth when they see men seated in the row reserved for women. its only because that women have physical problems compared to men that there are seats reserved for women. not understanding that some men occupy women's seat and the conductor says that he will not tell those such men anything. really annoying!

                                    This is really bad, those guys (including the conductor) are a real Bas***ds. I don't understand how can someone do such things, specially when you are seeing that a lady really needs a seat due to Medical Rasons.

                                    It is really sad Anusha. I don't know when will men in this country will start respecting the ladies.

                                      This is Elumalai .i am working in Private Concern. i use to travel by bus regularly from MMDA to Navalur and vice versa. As usual On 8th April 2011 i took MTC Deleux Bus At Navalur 9.40PM.i bought ticket from conductor for the amount of Rs 13/- from navalur to MMDA. i get down at MMDA around 10.45 PM. on that time checking inspectors enquired about the ticket immediately i gave to them. Then only i came to know the ticket was given upto guindy only but (Ticket Cost is same Rs 13/-) The Checking inspectors asked to pay fine of Rs 500/- i argued with them that is not my mistake it may be conductors mistake. Even they are not asked anything to conductor regarding this issue. but they forcely tortured me in front of the crowd and insulted me to pay that fine amount compulsory. i don't have any other choice to pay my fine amount asked by them.in front of others. so i paid that amount Rs 500/- . Even they are not allowed me write this entire issue in that receipt. They forced me to write as a without ticket holder from guindy to MMDA. This is Really great insult to me . i never face such a problem in my life time. Please consider this issue as soon as possible .Eventhogh i am educated and working in high designed job .i cant do anything at that moment. if it is so how the normal and uneducated poor people face this issue ? !

                                      MTC — Ticket Issues

                                      Sir/Madam,
                                      I travel in M70 service daily to reach TIDEL Park from Dandeeswaram nagar(Velachery) in chennai. The very next stop from Dandeeswaram nagar is Vijayanagar Bus stop, that's hardly two minutes journey. The buses in general would be heavily crowded. I passed the amount to conductor for the amount as I boarded the bus from the front door. By the time the bus reached the Vijayanagar bus stop and the checking squads here take this advantage of collecting hefty amounts as penalties without any receipts. They simply give us the tickets of denominations of Rs.100 or Rs.50. They would stop conductor from issuing the tickets even if it is paid for. They would send the bus away without asking conductor and would say, now pay fine of 500 or 600 rupees. They behaved in such an embarassing manner, they grabbed the purse from the bag and started taking all that they could reach for in the purse. They did not even give me any receipt kind of proof as the fine other than the tickets of the denomination Rs.100(3 tickets) and Rs.50(1 ticket) because they could find Rs.350 in my purse(all in all including some change i had in my purse). Is this the way the government encourages their employees to behave with the people.

                                      MTC — Non issue of Ticket

                                      Sir,
                                      I travelled in a MTC bus 6D on 22/04/2010 arround 3.15 to 3.30 pm from Madras University to Parrys. The conductor in the bus refused to give me ticket where I gave him Rs.10/- and said he needs exact change for buying tickets, though he had sufficient amount of change. Fortunately, one of my co-passenger gave me the change and I bought the Ticket. The ticket no.745315 (CK-82); the fare is Rs. 2.50/-When i asked for the conductors name he refused to tell.

                                      As the case may be, if all the passanger give the exact change to buy the ticket, the conductor should carry Gunny bag of change everyday.
                                      such complaints are regular happenings. I have seen conductors asking lady passengers to get down as they had no change... at the same time i met a conductor who was very genuine. At night one passenger had only 5 Rs. but the ticket he wanted was for 7 Rs. when conductor asked for 2 Rs. the man said sir en kitta ivalo than irukku kaasu illa (in a very low tone). 5 roopaiku naan enga eranganumnu sollunga. immediately the conductor said. paravaailla naangalum manushangathan. He took the 5 Rs. and gave him 7 Rs.ticket.
                                      I WOULD LIKE TO DRAW THE KIND ATTENTION OF THE MTC AUTHORITIES REGARDING THE TICKET ISSUING. THE MTC SHOULD APPOINT CONDUCTORS IN IMPORTANT BUS STOPS TO ISSUE THE TICKETS IN THE BUS STOP ITSELF DURING THE PEAK HOURS.
                                      SO IT WILL SAVE THE JOURNEY TIME TO THE COMMUTERS.

                                      MORE OVER THE MTC CAN INTRODUCE SHORT DISTANCE BUSES WITH WHITE BOARDS.

                                      THE HIGHLY NEEDED ROUTES ARE: 1.BETWEEN POONAMALLEE TO SRIPERUMBUDUR,
                                      2.BETWEEN TIRUVALLUR TO POONAMALLEE, AND LIKE THAT IN NORTH CHENNAI, AND IN SOUTH CHENNAI ALSO WHEREVER POSSIBLE THEY CAN INTRODUCE. NOWADAYS COMMUTERS ARE PREPARED TO BUY THE Rs.30 TICKET ( ONE DAY TICKET) SO THERE WILL BE NO DIFFICULTY FOR THE COMMUTERS TO CHANGE THE BUSES TO REACH THEIR DESTINATIONS.
                                      As I was travelling from iyappan stop to guindy in MTC deluxe 54 U1-As-M I bought the ticket and kept it inside the bag. And after reaching the stop the checking squads came and asked for the ticket. I couldn't find it inside and bag and they didn't let me go even after explaining so much after so much of explanation I had to pay fine of 500 Rs and after few minutes I got my ticket back and ran towards them to show the ticket as a proof.. But they denied to take it back and denied refund my money back. That's really not fair. I request you to hire few better and polite checking squads to atleast know the difference between the paid passengers and unpaid passengers
                                      I hope this should not happen with any students as they carry only little amount to travel. I hope this complaint to be taken into consideration and hoping for a change soon.

                                        Respected sir/Madam,

                                        I am working in MEPZ facility, Chennai. I usually travel by Metropolitan Transport Corporation( MTC) bus, for commuting to office through 1B Bus from Thiruvottiyur Ajax bustop. I dont prefer taking a break of journey as a through bus will ease my journey to and fro.

                                        I usually leave MEPZ around 8:30 to 9:30 in the evening. For the past two days, The 1B bus coming around that time is not stopping at MEPZ bus stop because of that i have to wait another half an hour and literally have to run before the bus and ask him to stop. Can you please make sure that all the 1B bus stop in the bus stop and wait for passengers to get in and then..go.
