Hi, We have taken MTS data card corporate connection one month ago.At the time of buying datacard, MTS sales man has assured that they will keep a booster incase of any connectivity issue or else they will refund the amount. After buying we checked that there is no network in our house so requested to keep booster.But they denied it now as it is expensive to keep booster and they are not willing to repay the amount. Meanwhile they have sent bill for one month.Also they are calling daily to pay bill amount.I am not understanding why they are insisting to pay the amount without resolving the connectivity issue. We would like to get back our money from MTS.Please help us to resolve this issue.

Reason for updating the complaint :
MTS is threatening us through an advocate, who called us to tell about filing a petition in court.They are harassing us mentally and forcing to pay bill for unused data card.We need justice for this.Hoping a favourable action from this forum.

Background:
I have given a complaint against MTS on September and till this time it is not resolved.

We bought the data card and there was no connectivity in my house so requested for a booster as MTS salesman has promised me.
Sales man has assured to refund the amount in case of connectivity issues.

But later they denied refunding and didn't install booster.So we have raised a request to discontinue the connection.
Without using the data card they had sent us bills for two months. I am wondering how could they generate bills for an unused data card.
They had started calling us to pay the bill amount and also sent notice.

These all happened 4 months ago .We never got any mails or calls from MTS for refunding or seeking our connectivity issue.

    My name is Prashant Kr. Singh. I bought MTS MBLAZE Ultra on Aug 21, 2014. It got activated on Aug 24, 2014.I got speed issue and i complained regarding this on Aug 31, 2014.My complaint no. is AUG/135550.After 2-3 days i received a call from MTS and they told me that device needs to be replaced and they told me to go to service center for this.I went there on sep 5, 2014 they took my device and told me to come on monday (sep 8) to get a new replaced device.I went there on time they told me it is not came yet come tommorow (sep 9).I again went there same thing happend.Finally after 10 days they gave me a damaged device as replacement which was not acceptable by me.I am still waiting for my replaced device.Device delivery date is not yet given confirmed.       I got the new wifi data card from MTS, purchased on 18th july 2014 and it got activated on 22nd july 2014 . paid Rs 1500/- for postpaid 999 pland for 40gb unlimited data with high speed upto 9.8mbps. On day 1 the speed was just 10-50kbps, and the device had some hardware issue as it keep disconnecting from the pc. I checked the device on few other laptops and also with wifi charger to check, but the situation was same, no speed. I lodged the complaint to the MTS offical dealer in Patel Nagar, from whom I got the device, on the same evening, ie- 22nd july. He told check for one mroe day and let me know and he will lodge complaint from his side. So I checked it for another day, did not work. tried other locations at my friends place, same issue at his place too - NO SPEED. I went to the dealer and asked him to recheck and lodge complaint. He told MTS engineer will visit me and got the complaint register. Even I also register a complaint myself with MTS . But no one ever visited my place and 2 days later I got message on phone that my issue is resolved and when I talked to customer service they told my data usage is over 500 MB, which I did not use at all. I complained again. got case escalated. and again message came that issue resolved without anyone coming to place or calling. and when I called again my usage they showed when more than 1 GB. Now tell me how come in a day with speed of 10-50 kbs my usage go to 1gb when even the website don't even open. I gave the device to the dealer within a week I bought the device and it did not work out. He says you will get refund, but its going to be 2 months now. And MTS has generated a bill (even after several complains that its not working from day 1 and not even used the device and service ) of something RS 365/- and calling me day and night from unknown numbers to pay the bill.         I had Purchased an Mblaze ultra wifi dongle which claimed it has a speed of 9.8 mbps, even after repeatedly asking the vendor about the product and network, he had assured me that the speed would be not less than 9.8 mbps. I recide in the korattur area in chennai and i was assured that i will get full speed. But once i turned it on, i was shocked to see that the data transfer speed was just 0.3-0.5 kpbs. its not even mbps, its kbps.I had bought this connection/device with the hopes i would get a good internet speed and service. but i was severely duped by this company.I had lost my money and it has also caused me severe mental frustration as i had spent the whole day setting up the connection and calling their help line which was never responsive to my grievances. i would like them to refund to me the 1500rs that i had paid to purchase the device along with compensation associated with the mental torture of dealing with this company. And also i wish for them to stop their false advertisements and cheating of many other consumers.           Hi, My name is Durgesh, I bought MTS ([protected])data card just 15 days back which is registered in the name of my father Mr. Rajendra Singh and got activated, however it got disconnected on 11/09/2014. I called to customer care sw rep he said my phone would be activated in 4 hours. However number was not active so I called again sw rep again he said number is deactivated as I owe some money to MTS for another card which was activated in year 2012 with my alternate number -+91-[protected], I told them I got this number is mid of 2013 how come its possible that I had MTS but he asked to visit MTS branch for further help. I visited Vaishali MTS care in sec – 4, he told me same thing.moreover he said maximum help he can do provide me name of person who was using this alternate number in 2012 and I should collect money from him. Why will I suffer for him. Now my concern is this first I never bought MTS before, I bought my number which is 91-[protected] in mid of 2013 so I am not liable to pay any thing which was bought earlier with this number and is this my mistake that I bought MTS card. Why would I go to that guy who done fraud. Please activate my card asap as my business is getting hampered because of this. Thanks, Durgesh

            DEAR MTS THIS IS THE SAD BRIEF SUMMARY OF EVENTS TILL DATE NO IDEA IF THIS MAIL IS GOING TO MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE AFTER SEEING THE TOTAL LACK OF RESPONSE FROM YOUR COMPANY DESPITE MY HAVING CALLED YOUR CUSTOMER CARE NO SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE PAST FEW WEEKS 1) My MTS Datacard No [protected] was activated on 18th or 19th Aug 2014. 2) I immediately found that the average download speed was not more than 500 kbps .. this was also verified by the sales person who came to give me the Card - Mr karthik from KA enterprises mob no [protected] A complaint was registered with your customer service regarding this problem on 19th august - complaint no AUG / 7577 THIS COMPLAINT IS STILL PENDING RESOLUTION TILL TODAY BY THE WAY YOUR HELPLINE NO[protected] NEVER WORKS 3) I had also complained several times to Mr Raghupathy ( [protected]) who is apparently your sales manager in Chennai several times regarding the problem and he said that I would need to follow up with customer care only for such complaints. 4) Around 21st August I received a call from your tech support no [protected] saying that someone would come to my place to solve the speed issue. Have tried calling this no several times but it seems to only be a calling out line. 5) On 22nd August Mr Kumar from your tech team came to my place ( mob no [protected]) He checked and accepted that there was a major internet speed issue. Made me fill up a form which he said he would submit to the tech team. Said that the local MTS transmitter in Kilpauk would have to be tuned to improve performance at my location Chetpet and there may be a need ti install a patch antenna at my place. When the problem never got resolved I tried calling/smsing him several times and finally when I reached him he said that he could do nothing more regarding my problem. 6) From the date of activation till yesterday I have called your customer care 10+ times at least regarding my issue. The main supervisor I dealt with was a Ms Medina whom I spoke to at least 3 times... she and all the others all assured me that the backend tech support team would immediately give a call and that someone would then come down to fix my problem. NOTHING HAS HAPPENED TILL DATE. Some of the other complaint nos that were issued to me include: AUG/10060 SEP/665 I CALLED MR RAGHUPATHY YESTERDAY REGARDING ALL THIS AND TOLD HIM THAT I WAS FED UP... HE SAID THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO.. BEST HE COULD TAKE BACK THE DONGLE AND REFUND MY AMOUNT PAID FOR DONGLE!! TOLD HIM I WOULD NOT PAYING ANY BILLING CHARGES RAISED BY MTS UNTIL THIS PROBLEM IS RAISED. HE THEN SAID IN THAT CASE SORRY HE CANNOT HELP ME AND CUT MY CALL!!!*X( angry I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT RESULT THIS MAIL IS GOING TO MAKE SO AM SENDING IT ONLY WITH HOPE!! ANYWAY I AM LOOKING AT OTHER INTERNET OPTIONS, PLAN TO BLACKLIST MTS AND ALSO SPREAD THE WORD REGARDING YOUR COMPANIES MISERABLE SERVICE AND ATTITUDE TO VARIOUS TELECOM AND OTHER SERVICE RELATED COMPLAINT FORUMS.               iam basil, iam using MTS Mblaze ultra, iam having slow speed problem . i was promised speeds upto 9.8 mbps but iam getting only about 20kbps to 100kbps . i have complained many times about this issue but iam not having any responce from the MTS personals. iam using postpaid unlimited 40 gb plan at 999 rs per month. and they are calling me to pay the bill amount . but if i ask about the speed issue they will say that they will check on that but do nothing and call again to ask for the bill amount . and if i do not pay they will disconnect my connection. but all iam saying is if solve my issue i will pay my bill. but they have'nt done any thing so far. my mts no is [protected], iam fro madipakkam, chennai 600091.

                I HAD BROUGHT A WIFI DATA CARD DEVICE ON 2ND JULY 14, WHICH WITHIN FEW DAYS (8TH JULY 14) STOPPED WORKING. THE UJJWAL TELECOM, DEHRADUN, ENSURED ME THAT THEY WILL REPLACE WITH THE NEW ONE WITHIN 15 DAYS. THEN I SEEKED DIRECT HELP FROM THE MTS COMPANY, WHICH THEY ALSO ENSURE TO REPLACE IT. UNFORTUNATELY, NOW MTS HAS STOPPED GIVING ME ANY RESPONSE THROUGH MAILS.

                  signals where very good when installed. for the pat one year we are not getting good reception for our laptop dongle. when we ask the dealers they tell the problem would be resolved ASAP and its been seven months since we started our complaints. the info that we got later was that the tower in our area was out and it would be fixed promptly. my location is rajouri garden opposite to the police station near TDI mall.on believing the dealer i recharged my dongle again only to see that the problem is still unresolved. the customer care barely pays heed to any complaints made. i believe this complaint mail would elp me in some way.

                    Hi all, In ever saw this much poor service provided to by any telecoms company, My mdn number is [protected] contact number [protected], I have registered the complaint re my datacard speed which has good tower but speed is 23 kbps as average and max 1 mbps..but according to plan it should b up to 9 mbps oly 1st month it ws good, after that not even single day it crossed 1 mbps..for complaint also no resolution given still, agent in customer care has lack of communication, service is pathetic...got frustrated by calling the customer care again and again.so am not going to pay the bill, which was agreed over call by agent Indra .also am not getting serviced as per agreement and complaint deadline also bared .Kindly send the confirmation over email.let me proceed further in lodging complaint in consumer court reg poor service of mts.                       with only one mistake of dealer . my 299rs get to the other person by the mistake of retailer . mts is a very bad company services was not provided. if i not get the balance i will shut down mts . my data card no is [protected] and the other in which wrong recharge has done . [protected] recharge amount 299.

                        Hi Support, I have recharged my MTS card with 1499 and they have given 15 GB data o[censored]nlimited but suddenly the usage decreased to 5 GB and I asked the report and they provided the report which itself wrong. I have attached the screen shot of report and it shows the line 22 and 23, usage is 1.409 but decrease the left balance from 13.874 to 9.186. Once again on lines 25 and 26, data reduces from 9.188 to 5.738 after using 1.315. I highlighted the problematic in yellow color. They are not ready to give the reduced data and more over, they are telling that their report is correct and here is the reply that I am getting You have expressed your concern in the email dated Tue, 09th September '2014 regarding [protected] about data usage, we would like to inform you that data usage reflects the data consume as per your connection log and it shows in particular time you have consumed the reflecting data so there is no discrepancy in data usage report.

                          1. Most Importantly it is worth to mention that it is very difficult to contact MTS over Phone.
                          2. I got an MTS card ( as mentioned above) from a sales representative Mr.Anandhan ( cell: [protected]/ [protected] ) during first week of March, 2014, at Tiruvanmiyur, Chennai against payment of Rs. 1000/- as deposit.

                          3. However, for various reasons, I had to vacate the residence at Tiruvanmiyur, and hence called Mr. Anandhan immediately and informed him that I am cancelling the order and requested for refund.

                          4. Next day I also contacted Ms. Kavitha at [protected], MTS office and informed her about cancellation of my order and requested for refund.

                          5.Next day of my booking, I received a call for activation, but I did not accept activation and told that I am cancelling the order.

                          6. My MTS data card pack is still not opened and the seal is intact. The service was never used so far.

                          7. I also called on MTS shop no; 35, located at KB Dasan Road, Teynampet, Chennai - 600 018 and met Mr. Senthil ( Cell: [protected] )a representative of MTS and showed the unopened MTS card and requested for refund of Rs. 1000/- and also for cancellation of bill received at that time.After satisfying my position and request, he assured me to do needful.

                          Surprisingly, and after a long gap, during first week of Sept. 2014, i have received another bill for three months ending 31st Aug. 2014.

                          I have made several correspondence in this regard thro e mails to MTS. In one such e mail, Mr. Mehtab Ahmed, MTS Customer Care official has conceeded that my card was Permanently deactivated on20.03.2014. So, against my wish, the card has been activated . This is very important for consideration. The fact can be ascertained from recorded phone . Further as seen from e mail dated 2nd April, 2014, received from Mr. Mehtab Ahmed, MTS customer care officer, the card was permanently deactivated on 20.03.2014. Then how it is possible to receive a bill for three months from May to Aug, 2014 for the deactivated card.

                          It is mere exploitation unfair trade practice on the customer. The amount involved may be small but the fact is nothing but exploitation on the customer like me. There may be million customers whom may be subject to such exploitation in different ways to make money.

                          I am a senior citizen, aged 70, held a Senior Management Position in Public service, and demonstrated high level of integrity and truthfulness. This issue not only humilated and tortured me but also made me restless.


                          I therefore, request you to deal with MTS suitably/appropriately which deemed fit so that customers like me may be saved. I expect refund of my deposit money paid Rs. 1000/- and cancel the bills raised against the unused card. I have made several correspondence thro e mails which are available with me along with replies.

                            Dear Sir

                            This is to inform you that I have been using the MTS Ultra boradband services from April Data Card number is [protected]. I have been using the plan Corp HSD-REV B 444-3GB for Rs.444. My usage is very limited and it was good for the first two months. Now from last two months MTS is charging very high which is 5 times more than what i use. MTS doesn't send the bills but send the sms for payments and additional usages. Even for the very limited usage they have charged me Rs.2300 for Aug-2014. But there is no record of data usage in MB or GB, but only they are claiming the amount Rs.2300 overall.

                            MTS customer care team is not responding for my queries and not providing approriate informations with regards to the bill. MTS marketing people calls and informs us to upgrade for unlimited 5GB plan and upgraded to it. Today when I called MTS customer care they says it is again chargable for the usage after 5GB, then how can it be unlimited package. MTS is not able to provide answer for this.

                            I hereby request you to kindly take a severe action on this and save the customers getting cheated everyday.

                              1) bought MTS ultra 3g data card on 1st Aug 2014(MDN [protected]) 2) activated on 2nd Aug 2014 3) till now data card is not working properly.. 4) raised compliant on 4th Aug ( nobody answered my call in customer Care during weekends.. 5) compliant no AUG/1090 till now no resolution happened and still data card not working.. Fed up with the customer care team I made another complaint. The new complaint no is AUG/5826. A month has gone from activation and there is still no word from customer care team to resolve my issues. Several calls(41 times to be exact) to customer care team, Even spoke to floor supervisors, managers, Lots of false promises claiming that a service engineer will come to our home and fix the issue the very next day. But till now no service engineer showed up. The data card gives good speed when operated from my friend’s house. But I cannot always stay at my friends house. CAN I?? If no service engineers showed up in the next two days, I will show up at the MTS store with the printout of all my correspondence and voice call records and return the useless device. And I want full refund of my money that I paid to get the device. I have never experienced this sort of worst behavior from any ISP in the past. I have used both airtel and reliance. They treat their customers with respect and resolve the issues as soon as possible. I need immediate action on my compliant or I want 1k refunded..                               MTS / Sistema Shyam TeleServices [SSTL] customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
                              Yesterday a representative from MTS Kishore([protected]) called and told that he will personally take care of our situation and do the needful to resolve the issue. Today morning I called him and asked about the status and verified whether he would send a service engineer to my place to identify the problem. Like all the previous customer care reps he promised again only to switch off his mobile after the call. I expected this kind of behaviour from MTS employees.

                              Shameless, careless, worthless - thy name is MTS.
                              Till now no action was taken and the network issue still persists. But MTS promptly sent the bill email. If only they showed 20% of the interest that they show towards generating customer bills...

                              I AM NOT GOING TO PAY THE BILL UNTILL MY ISSUE GETS RESOLVED. I NEED A WAIVER FOR THE MONTH(AND COMING MONTHS IF THE ISSUE IS NOT FIXED).

                                I have purchase MBlaze wifi ultra device from Vipin Sharma, Sales Manager, sohna road, Gurgaon. At the time of device purchase, I told him that I'll purchase this device only if it'll get activated within one day. He committed me to do so. After one day, I called to Vipin Sharma several times and he didn't pick up the call. It's been three days and still it's not activated. Now, this is my humble question to MTS team, whom should I trust on? Your MTS team whom I bought this device from? Don't you think it's your MTS team's responsibility to submit the documents on time and activate my device as per the committed time? OR you want your customers to keep on visiting your stores even after submitting all the documents and payment in advance? This is an advice to new customers who are seeking for new broadband connection, please look for wired broadband connection available in your area and avoid MTS!

                                        Dear MTS Ultra Internet connection. I have been using your services from past 4 months using Rs-444 data plan. First bill came to 450Rs and second month it was 550Rs. With the same amount o[censored]sage last month charged me 857Rs, and this month with a very minimum usage they have charges me 2857 Rs with no details o[censored]sage. No bills are sent to me. On what basis you are charging your customers like this. Is your intention only to loot the customers the way you like sending the sms to pay bill for whatever amount you like. Then why the hell you have limited plans for minimum usages. If I am not even using your 1GB of data, why the hell should I pay you 2500 per month for nothing. And there is no record or bill for what you charge us. Your company just send the sms every week saying "you have already used 80% of limit kindly make interim payment of 1357 immediately to continue the services". Why this sms required to be sent, why are you not sending the usage bills on email. when I ask your customer Care person says within 2 minutes I will mail you, which I haven't received even after 20 days. Who is going to solve this issue.??????? Any responsible person????????????.
