We bought our nilkamal mattress, type flora 6 inch spring mattress size 75*60 inches in august 15 value approx 15k dealer name panchal furniture’s, bhandup, mumbai.
The mattress worked good for about first 2 months however, we started facing sagging issues by month february 2016 and later on it got worse and the springs can be felt on the mattress surface, by july 2016. The mattress needed to be flipped every 2 weeks to have optimum sleep. Later we were out of town for the next 3 odd months and the matter was unused, however post returning we still faced the same issue and needed to keep turning the mattress on regular basis. This mattress is not firm anymore and we can actually feel the spring of the mattress once we lie flat on it. Not good for health as this has triggered a terrible back ache - causes pain in lower back and leg cramping — this is not a matter of customer comfort. It is a matter of poor manufacturing and construction.
We have been facing this issue since quiet early days o[censored]sing this mattress and hence we contacted the nilkamal customer care center and called in for a person ashish to inspect the issue faced.
The person came in almost after 2-3 weeks for inspection after a continuous follow up by us and our dealer. On inspection he found out that the mattress did have some manufacturing fault and wasn’t upto the mark for daily utility. He took down the complaint and assured us that the mattress will be replaced once he submits our case to the management.
However it has been over 8 months now that there has been no contact from nilkamal and the defective mattress is still being used by us and has been triggering the back ache day to day!
The mattress is now gone bad to worse! From our part we’ve tried every bit to help ourselves by placing a 2.5 inch high density foam over the mattress, mending our bed by placing a wooden ply underneath the mattress to give it extra support!! It was suggested by the nilkamal inspection personnel and our dealer, but still the issue stands unresolved…attached are few pictures of sagging but the spring contact issue can only be experienced in person.
Awaiting for a response and hoping nilkamal will stand behind their product and replace / repair it for us considering customer satisfaction.
