I have a complaint against Nokia Service Center. I've sent the following mail to them. Please go through the mail to know the nature of my grievance.


Hi,

I've purchased a Nokia E75 [ESN/IMEI Number : [protected]] on first week of October 2009.

By the end of May 2010, I was having severe problems with my set - it became very slow and sometimes unresponsive, and stopped working one day. I submitted my phone to Infotel Services, 1 Ekdalia Road, Kolkata 700019. Assigned Job sheet number was[protected]/100601/35. The phone was returned to me the next day after upgrading the software and everything seemed fine.

On 15th August, 2010 the camera in the phone stopped working, camera button was not working. Additionally I noticed that battery standby time was decreasing day-by-day, and the phone was getting hang every now and then. I again submitted my phone on 18th August,2010 to Infotel Services, 1 Ekdalia Road, Kolkata 700019. Assigned Job sheet number was[protected]/100818/48. I was very unsatisfied with the status of my phone and tried to express my concern to the Center Manager, Mr. Abhijit Chatterjee. But I am really sorry to say that he has a very irritating and unhelpful attitude. All I wanted was an email-id through which I can officially communicate my grievance and concern to Nokia. He point-blankly refused to give me any email-id and all I got from him was a phone number [protected] which he said was of his RM. I called up RM and he asked me to sms him the current job sheet number, which I did promptly.

I was given a call on 19th August, 2010 and was informed that my set was ready to be delivered. Upon delivery, when i connected the battery the set did not work.They took the phone away and informed me that only the OS was re-installed, and I need to wait for half-an-hour more so that they can again re-install the software. I think NOKIA SHOULD PROPERLY TRAIN THEIR SUPPORT STAFF TO NOT TO FORGET THE BASICS LIKE CHECKING THE PHONE AFTER AN UPDATE OR WHATEVER SERVICING THEY DO, ONLY TO ENSURE THAT THAT PHONE ACTUALLY WORKS WHEN THE TECHNICIANS CLAIM THAT THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED. This whole process took 1:30 hours, with no positive result in the end. I informed them that I'll come back tomorrow to collect the set. After that I tried to call up RM who didn't receive my call, and very conveniently forgot to call me back after that.

I went to Nokia service center today at around 6:15pm and handed them the job sheet to collect my phone. Even after waiting almost an hour, there was no update or absolutely no one in the center showed me the courtesy to inform me the status. Eventually I was very angry and demanded that my set to be given back to me as I've lost all faith on Nokia and it's authorized Service centers. It was then, almost after an hour, I was informed that the set would be send to Delhi and I can only expect a delivery on/after 3rd September,2010.

Under the circumstances, I have the following questions and I demand an immediate reply from you on this.

1. After buying a high end set [I bought the set for Rs 23000] why should I suffer so much, and that too within warranty period? Nokia as a brand name has always been a big player, and I confess that I did have a fascination on Nokia phones. But I'm really sorry to say that compared to such a big name as Nokia, I feel even street side vendors are more cooperative.

2. I want to officially register a complaint against Center Manager of Infotel Services, 1 Ekdalia Road, Kolkata 700019. I'm really sorry to say that he is not at all competent as Center Manager, and THE WAY HE HANDLES AGGRIEVED CUSTOMERS IS NOT AT ALL SUITABLE FOR NOKIA.

3. I want an immediate status update on when I can really expect to get my phone back and what are the steps that are being taken to rectify the problems with my handset.

4. I will also need an escalation matrix with phone numbers and email-id's for these sort of events. I've already called up [protected] and a complaint was registered [Complaint No: 1-[protected]]

5. Finally, I would really like to know who gave Nokia the authority to waste their customers valuable time and energy. For the past three days I've been visiting this center for almost 1:30 hours everyday, only to come back with more frustration and hatred for Nokia. It might be that Nokia does not care about after sale service or is simply not interested in helping their customers out, but please let me know such policies so that at least in future I'll know what to expect from Nokia.

Please mail me back on this as soon as possible, as I would really like to know whether Nokia seriously believes in helping out their customers or not.

I had visited NOKIA CARE, infotel services ekdalia on 12.08.2010, with my 5310Nokia express music set
its keys were not functioning. The executive out there saw the set and told that your set is within the
warranty period but if we found liquid your warranty will be terminated and you have to pay for the repair. She took it to the engineer while i stood outside after 15 min she came and said that liquid was inside and the warranty stands cancelled and for the repair i have to fork out 1250/- bucks. I agreed because without mobile all my work would be hampered.They handed me job sheet no[protected]/100812/97 and asked me to come on 14.08.2010 to take the set. As stated i went to NOKIA CARE on 14.08.2010, but a lady on the delivery section told that the set is not ready and they will inform me whenit is ready. They never called but i constantly called on a single number40076900 which was provided in the jobsheet, but the person on the other end always told that they will call when the set is ready. Today is 24.08.2010, till now i havent received my set back and not even a call from infotel stating why this delay.

I can state from my viewpoint this is bringing an bad name for NOKIA because they are associated with this. This is a bitter experience for me and never in my life I will buy any NOKIA products, and i will tell all my known people to be away from NOKIA. If you can please look into the matter and do the needful at the earliest.

As stated i went to NOKIA CARE on 23.10.2010, but a lady on the delivery section told that the set is not ready and they will inform me when it is ready. They never called me up but I constantly visited them but the person on the other end always told that they will call when the set is ready. I was very unsatisfied with the status of my phone and tried to express my concern to the Center Manager, Mr. Abhijit Chatterjee. Today i.e. 28.12.2010 I received my set which was not repaired and more over the most horrible thing that has happened to my set is that my keypad and battery is not working at all when the set was in their custody. Before delivering the the to the care the key pad was smoothly working and the battery was in good condition.
Finally, I would really like to know who gave Nokia the authority to waste their customers valuable time and energy. I have frustration and hatred towards Nokia. It might be that Nokia does not care about after sale service or is simply not interested in helping their customers out, but please let me know such policies so that at least in future I'll know what to expect from Nokia.

        The aforesaid mobile handset had purchased from authorised Nokia Dealer (Nokia Pirority) at Dwarka sector - 11/12, Delhi. on 1st week of June 2010. Within couple of days I absorbed that the battery back-up was not performed well and stayed just one hour and less. I had taken to authorised service centre at sector 4, Dwarka and changed the battery on 11/Jun/2010, though performance of battery gives just 80-90 minutes back-up and the bluetoothe also not functioning since then.

        On 14/Jun/2010 I tried to contact Nokia customer care directly and informed the status, they directed me to go to the same service centre again. I asked the customer executive to provide reference number and they refused to give for my complaint. Now there is no record for my telecon with the customer service.

        I really disturbed their poor service and mental harassment despite of I'd spent hard earned money on the handset.

        Nokia is spending lots of money on their advertisement to attract the customers, though their irresponse attitude is unacceptable.

        Hope the company will look into this matter seriously.

        Nokia2690 — Poor battery condition

        nokia/2690 — poor service

        On 7th dec 2010 I gave my nokia 2690 to Nokia"s service centre situated at Marutipuram Lucknow for the problem "charger not supported".

        On 23rd dec. they returned my cell phone with the same problem and changed my battery saying that your battery is not working, while my battery was being charged in other mobile sets. The battery (old) supplied by them is also mentioning the same problem.

        I bought the phone on 31st july 2010. Phone is under guarantee period.

        I want to recieve my original battery with problem free cell.

            the screens turns white suddenly and the phone stops woking and the music player wont work properly. this is not the 1st time this problem had occured to ma phone several times. got fed up going to the service centre and even they sent my phone even to the company for service. for maximum of 25 or 30 days the phone works properly and again the same problem and i purchased the phone in july 2009. only in an year i went near the service centre for almost 6 times, the phone was rather in the service centre rather with me.. and aftr ma warranty i gave ma phn for repair out side and i spnt 1000's of rupees for this.. i need an answer for this. details of my phone

              This is the customer of Nokia. I got some problem with my nokia handset 5130 Xpressmusic. I went to the nokia service center in Behala. They checked the phone and told me that the circuit is damaged and they have to replace it. they charged me Rs 1200/- for that they gave me the reciept. They didn't call me for 3-4 days when i called them and ask them about the phone then they said that u have to pay Rs 2000/- because we have to replace lots of things. That is not fare. i wont mind to pay that amount if they would have tell me when they checked it before. and they didnt even bother to call me in that 3-4 days to tell me about that. when i called up then they are telling me that i ave to pay extra. Is that the right service????
              And the phone is only one and half years old. They cant do that to their customers. Can i pleae get the anwer for that????

                There was some problem with my handset (Nokia 2700) and i took my mobile repair center on 29th July 2010.
                The guys from Nokia Care said that, your handset has sum major problem so it may take upto a week for delivery of handset.
                So, i called them after a week and they answered same that it may take few more days.
                So finally i get my handset back on 14th August but again, it wasn't repaired either. Problem was same. ( Poor Battery Backup and headset problem)
                So i Submitted my handset again and they said that my handset will be repaired or replaced within 5-6 days.
                After that i called them today(19 Aug) and they said that we don't have information about your handset and it may take one more week. Now tell me what to do?

                Note: I checked my job sheet status online and they are displaying that this handset has been repaired and job sheet is closed.

                I submitted my mobile phone model Nokia5130-c Express Music Edition for service in warranty to Nokia Care Planet cell Aundh(pune)Job sheet No- [protected] 3 times reporting basic functional problem of calling/reciving of calls. Every times the return it back without properly diagonosing it. last time they take it for ten days without giving stand by hand set due to this i am really facing a lot of problem.

                I am really frustrated to hear these answers from a company which claims to be number one in Mobile phones. but sorry to say that the service provided to the customers is really pathetic...What im planning to do is buy a new cell phone NOT of NOKIA BRAND definetly this time and will sell of the this handset if some day i get it back.I am unable to tell you what problem i am facing without the cell phone.

                Nokia — Product Repair

                I've given my nokia 5800 for repair in nokia care center for more than 5 times but the people are not responding to in each time the say your produt has been repaired. I request the nokia care people to look in to my issue.

                  i have purchsed one nokia 3110 mobile phone from the retailer in dewas (08/02/09) but their mobile get damaged withing the guirenty period, and now their centers are denying from the repairing their phone.
                  the prize of the phone on the time of purchase was Rs.4600.

                    I HAVE PURCHASED A NOKIA MOBILE HANDSET NO. 5220 IN SEPTEMBER 2008. AND ITS STOP WORKING EVERY TIME AFTER GETTING REPAIR. I GOT IT REPAIR TWO TIMES WITHIN WARRANTY AND TWO TIMES AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRES FROM LOCAL NOKIA SERVICE CENTER BUT PROBLEM CONTINUE TO RESIST.

                    EVERY TIME THEY CHARGED AND GIVING ASSURANCE WORKING PROPERLY BUT IT GET DAMAGE WITHIN A MONTHS TIME.
                    NOW I AM VERY SICK OF GOING AGAIN AGAIN TO SERVICE CENTER.

                          I've always owned a Nokia phone and never had any problems with them till i bought Nokia N95 in Sep 2007. My Phone has always worked ok until February, 27

                          this year. because of intensive use of my mobile, the characters of my keypad was not very clearly visible and so i got the chasis and the battery changed on

                          27 February,2010 by paying a handsome amout of INR 4000/-. The servicing was done at your authorized nokia care centre at townhall road, udaipur - Rajasthan

                          - India.

                          This was the begining of the sequence of problems which i am still facing till date. It started with the problem of with low quality of sound which finally

                          dropped to a zero level for which i again got it serviced on 10th Jul 2010 by paying INR 360/-. I was told that the sound card was not functioning properly.
                          I was pretty astonished to know that a brand like nokia starts having a problem by changing the chasis.

                          That was not the end but the begining of new series of troubles using the so-called high end nokia N95.

                          In next one months time the display blackened for which i had to approach the nokia care centre again on 14 Aug 2010. I had to get my LCD changed by paying
                          another INR 2250/-. To my greatest of surprise, i was told that the LCD used in mobile was a duplicate one. I leave the statement with a how for you to

                          reply.

                          Now the keypad of my mobile is also not functioning.

                          I am pretty confident that malpractices are flourishing at your udaipur centre when they had changed not only the chasis and the battery but also the LCD and

                          the sound card during my first visit.

                          I had given a call to your office at Delhi where the receptionist told me that the greviences are being handled by Tarandeep Kaur who looks after the

                          greviences and was busy in a meeting. I was assured that i will receive a call once she is free. The day is gone and i am still waiting for the phone call.

                          I request you to take necessary action and get my mobile repaired free of cost with all the original the parts and get me back the amount which i had already

                          paid for getting the mobile repaired because i approached your authorized service centre.

                          Nokia Care — ORIGINAL PARTS REPLACED

                          Hello

                          I am poor customer misguided & befooled by the nokia customer care.

                          I had given the set to nokia care at mobile tech (Adj hotel jiwan plaza ph. [protected], patiala punjab) for estimate for repair.

                          They had not given me set back same day inspite of my requests.

                          The next day they had delivered the set. I surprise to know that they had demanded rs 3500/- for repair (Lcd & motherboard to be changed).

                          I had taken the set back.

                          I had shown to my brother.

                          We aere shocked to see that both the screen & motherboard are changed. ( i had already keep them marked. But no marks are their in delivered set.

                          When i had taken the matter to the center, they replied their are lots of sets for repair. It might be possible that screen may be changed.

                          How it is possible.

                          Kindly advice me how i approch this matter.

                            Nokia Priority — misuse of product given for service

                            i brought a second hand motorola l7 mobile which have a complaint on its lcd screen connector cable.i give it to nokia priority dealer and they accepted it and said that it will cost around 500 rupees .after the specified date i reached there,but they said that its parts are not available and returned the mobile phone.the problem is that the returned mobile is not mine.and it is fully damaged.the didnt accept to give back my mobile.what shall i do?

                                I am using Nokia 5800 Xpress music from last November 2009 and i have been facing issue from the same day,
                                i have purchased that mobile from Digital World Panajim, and same day i have showed them that there is a hanging issues in My cell and after hanging the Screen becomes rainbow type and finally it automatically swithoff.

                                I need to solve this issue as soon as possible as i have really bored from facing this issues.

                                Nokia 5800 — Hanging

                                I have bought my mobile from THE MOBILE STORE, after 2 moths it's started hanging after every 4 to 5 days, so i move to NOKIA CUSTOMER CARE they updated the software but then also my mobile hangs.

                                      Bought a new NOKIA C5 from OM Mobile centre Margao- Goa,15 days old , made only 7 local & 1 international call. it automatically became dead .
                                      After showing to dealer he promised to replace with a new set,he directed me to show Nokia Care-Margao before replacing.but Nokia Care could do anything,they said it has to be sent to delhi.I went back & explain the problem to the dealer in which they refuse to replace the handset,then i said to them i'll complain to consumer forum in which they told me to me complain.
                                      How can they cheat customer by selling faulty and duplicate handset ,which i came to know is made in China.
                                      They should either replace or refund the cost.

                                      All Nokia C5 model in india is made in china only. I[censored] dont want such issues later, always buy Nokia phone through NPD (Nokia Priority Dealers). Dont buy from grey market. The price difference in NPD and grey market is only Rs 300 to 500 but you got the genuine model from NPD.
                                      my Nokia c5 is not working since when i bought so far I have given it for servicing more than five times from July 2010 and I feel this set is very bad in design even today my set is in Nokia service center.
                                      I do not Know what to do it is my bad luck, I request Nokia people to give a replacement of some other set is good other wise in my life I will not buy Nokia.

                                      I feel the same way, in my life time I will not ever buy a Nokia again.

                                      My c5 has the crome is peeling off the navigational key and they refuse to repair it unless I pay for the repairs, the phone is in perfect condition and is only 6 weeks old when the crome started peeling off.

                                      I will go a step further and tell all my friends and family to stear away from nokia, don't support if you get poor service.

                                      I am a customer that is not going to take this lying down, I will on a daily bassis run the products customer service down.

                                        i have 5800 Xpressmusic from 2-3 weeks. but in these 2 or 3 weeks i have many problems in this mobile and i give this mobile to customer care for 7 or 8 times but they had ask that we take ur mobile for 2 days and then they ask that after 2 day when they return it to me they ask that now ur phone works properly but when i took my mobile from them then i saw the same problem again in my mobile then when i gave 8th time to them then they ask that if they could do something to repair my mobile then they do otherwise they send this mobile to the Nokia Company. But they have not take any action for my mobile So thats why i want some help from you to suggest me that what can i do ??
                                        i purchased this mobile about 3 weeks and in the new mobile i saw this problem 8 time i want to take a new mobile to Nokia Company B'coz of these complaints please give me a new mobile b'coz i suffer a lot from restart automatically, And when i start blutooth then it hangs, lock is not open in one time it takes 2-3 time to open,Hanging,late opening applications and more n more plz give me a new mobile with no problems !
