I wish to draw your attention to the kind of service and repair of mobiles by Nokia care. Unfortunately, people like me are taken for a ride at these nokia care centre.
From the begining, I bought a Nokia E71 from Guwahati, Assam in on 23 July 2009. The set worked well for about 11 months and suddenly started giving problems. The camera came on automatically after every few seconds, automatic speaker ID came on prompting me to speak and then say "Match not found" i figured there was some problems with the buttons. I took the set to the newly opened/shifted Gurgaon Nokia care in Sector 14. Initially they were good to me and even offered to extend the warranty for about 1400, which I readily accepted, but soon refused the same saying that the set had water inside some white stuff on the keypad and warranty is void. I requested them to tell me what the white stuff was because this set has never left my hands and it is impossible that it get wet. They said the set needs a replacement of Keyboard, IC and Flex cable and the same would cost about Rs3000/- I was shocked and requested them to return my set. The set was assembled and handed over to me without closing the screws properly. When I mentioned the same, they could not locate the person who was responsible for the same, I sought the help the attendants to locate the person and finally get the screws fixed. I also asked them if the set was opened earlier. They said it was not. I fail to understand, when i have always been using a leather cover, how can even dust get into it. But giving a lame excuse that it must have been dipped in water is not possible. I wish to raise to nokia authorities that its a big scam that is going on in your service centres, these people are looters and want to just mint money. This will not be good for Nokia in long term. India has always been a country where the word of mouth has been more powerful that all the advertisements combined together. Hope Nokia India would take appropriate action and send some decoys to test the capabilities of their own workers if it is interested in controlling the scam.. Else time will witness the downfall of nokia soon.

NOKIA X6 — Replacement
IT WAS REALLY PATHETICING AND UPSETTING ANSWER FROM NOKIA CARE CENTRE WHERE I HAD GIVEN MY NOKIA X6 NEWLY PURCHASED HAND SET FOR REPAIRING. IT WAS NOT GETTING ON . SO, I VISITED NOKIA CARE CENTRE FOR REPAIRING.AND , NOW TODAY THEY ARE CALLING AND ANSWERING IT IS TEMPERED SO WE CAN'T REPAIR OR SEND IT TO OUR DELHI OFFICE. WHEREAS I HAD NOT GIVEN TO ANYBODY FOR REPAIRING. IT SEEMS THEY HAS BEEN SOME MISCHIEF OR PROBLEM WITH THEIR STAFF & NOW THEY ARE TELLING THE INSTRUMENT IS DEAD YOU TAKE IT BACK. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE ????
IT IS JUST 4 MONTHS I HAD PURCHASED THE INSTRUMENT & NOW THIS GUYS ARE GIVING SILLY REPLY..
I NEED THE REPLACEMENT OR MY HAND SET REPAIRED.
KINDLY GUIDE ME HOW TO TAKE ACTION ON THIS GUYS...
