A fraud seller named lipun tripathy on olx charged me an amount to ship a game. As per agreement paid half the amount using paytm and he said he shipped the product when asked about the shipping details he denied stopped responding and later denied accepting the amount and even selling the game. He also has multiple accounts on olx selling the same or similar products.

I saw an ad on olx about maestro 2017model. I had a conversation with that person and he gave me his phone number and whatsapp number. I texted him on whatsapp and he sent me some photos of scooty and photo of rc. He said me that he can send the scooty through army courier service as he was at lucknow. He said me to transfer 3000 rs. Through paytm and i transfered the money. Then he sent me the photos of indian army transport parcel department

मैंने 9/09/2019 को olx पर आल्टो800 UK07 DG 6039 का ऐड देखा तो मैंने seller से[protected] बात की जो खुद को गाड़ी मालिक बता रहा था तो उसने गाड़ी 130000में बेचने की बात की फिर उसने कहा कि गाड़ी को भेजने के लिए couirer खर्च 3100 जमा करना पड़ेगा और गाड़ी 24 घंटे में आप के पास पहुँच जाएगी ।मैंने काफी आनाकानी के बाद 3100 rs कोरियर के लिए जमा कर दिए।
अगले दिन 10/09/2019को उसका फोन आता है कि कोरियर बॉय यहाँ से निकल चुका है शाम तक गाड़ी आप के पास आ जायेगी ।शाम को लगभग 3 बजे के बाद कूरियर बॉय का [protected] से फोन आता है कि इसमें सिक्योरिटी चार्ज लगा है जो 11100 rs है जो आप को बाद में वापस मिल जाएगा ये आप को जमा करना ही पड़ेगा।मैंने पहले जमा करने से मना किया पर उसने कहा कि अगर आप जमा नही करोगे तो गाड़ी यही तीन महीने के लिए पैंडिंग हो जाएगी गाड़ी वाले को परेशानी हो जाएगी इस बात पर विश्वास करके मैंने 11100 Rs का ऑनलाइन Gpay से फिर ट्रांजेक्शन कर दिया ।करीब 20 मिनेट बाद कूरियर बॉय का फिर फोन आता है कि आपने गलत कर दिया आप की 11000 अलग और 100 rs अलग भेजने थे आप दुबारा भेजे ।डिलीवरी देते हुए आप को 22000 वापस मिल जाएंगे ।तो मैं फिर से 11000 और 100 का अलग अलग ट्रांजेक्शन कर देता हूँ । इसके करीब आधे घंटे बाद फिर कोरियर बॉय का फोन आता है कि कर्नल सहाब का मेल fail हो गया है इसे सही करने के लिए अब आपको 22200 का ट्रांजेक्शन करना पड़ेगा नही तो कूरियर पैंडिंग हो जाएगा।मेरी उससे बहुत कहा सुनी हुए अंत मे मैं उसकी बातों में आकर 22200 का भी ट्रान्जेक्शन कर दिया। शाम को उसका फिर फोन आता है कि मैं आपके घर के पास आ गया हूँ पर अब इस पर 7150 Rs का GST लग गया है वो आपको पहले पे करना पड़ेगा तभी कूरियर आपके पास आएगा ।अब मैन उसकी बात नही मानी तो जो गाड़ी मालिक है उसका फोन आता है कि 2000 मैं यहाँ जमा कर देता हूँ आप वहाँ से 5100 rs का ट्रान्जेक्शन कर दो तो मैंने फिर 5100 rs का ट्रान्जेक्शन उसी एकाउंट में किया तब भी उसने मुझे गाड़ी नही सौपी औऱ दुबारा से 7150Rs एक साथ भेजने के लिए बोला ।मुझे ऐसा लगने लगा कि मेरे साथ इन्होंने फ्रॉड कर दिया है तो मैंने ट्रान्जेक्शन करने से मना कर दिया ।अगले दिन फिर गाड़ी मालिक का फोन आता है कि मेरी गाड़ी तो आपने तीन महीने के लिए फसा दी है अगर आप आज 7150 Rs भेज दोगे तो दोनों का ही काम बन जायेगा और आप को गाड़ी भी शाम तक मिल जाएगी।आखिर में मैंने 7150 Rs का ट्रान्जेक्शन उसी एकाउंट में कर दिया ।जब 8 बजे उसने फिर लेट पेमेंट 8000 Rs जमा करने के लिए कहा तो अब मैंने साफ मना कर दिया उसका फाइन आता है किअब आपको गाड़ी नही मिलेगी और अब मुझे अपने साथ किये गए फ्रॉड का अहसास हो गया तो मैं आपके पास अपनी शिकायत दर्ज कर रहा हूँ कि ऐसे लोगो के ऊपर कठोर से कठोर कार्यवाही करें ताकि और लोगो को ऐसे फ्रॉड लोगों से बचाया जा सके और मेरे द्वारा किये गए ट्रान्जेक्शन को भी मुझे वापस दिलाया जाए ।उन सभी के द्वारा दिये गए फोटो मैं यहाँ ऐड कर रहा हूँ।

My account was banned for no reason and when called the customer care support (After a long hold), to understand the reason on why the account was banned.

The executive told me to contact the nearby police station for this and send out an email from the police officials email id to olx support, and post that they would provide the reason on why the account has been banned.

Firstly the customer care number is a paid one (1rs per min) and secondly the long hold and the time it takes to connect to an executive is atleast 10-15mins minimum, and then on connecting, the executive would put the call onhold again, for some information gathering & troubleshooting. And the reason would be policy violation. I have asked a couple if times, on which policy in specific did i violate, so that as an end user i can make sure that's not reapeated in future, leading to such issues. But the reason for violation is unknown to the support folks too.

This has happened a lot of times in past to my account & few in my family too. For no reason they get banned. And on calling the customer support some executive claim it to be technical issue in the olx engine and then unbanned the account. However, all the ads posted (Including paid ads) get expired and we need to repost them again.

After spending a lot of time & money, today i got my account and my wife's account unblocked. But strange thing was within a few mins, it got blocked again.

This is really frustrating and bad user experience. Each time it gets banned for no reasons.

Please closely look at the issue and the product engine needs be corrected. We end users end up spending a lot of time & money dealing with the reoccurring olx related issues. Thanks in advance

I found an advertisement on olx (Olx.in) of a scooty on 7th of september, 2019. I contacted the advertiser on the same day i. E., 7th of september 2019. I had a short talk after which i shared my whatsapp no. And two id proofs. I was contacted back on 8th september 2019 and was asked for an amount of rs. 3100 as a delivery charge. After some time he informed me that the scooty is near to my delivery location and thus asked for the full payment of rs. 17900. I did the same and paid the full amount by google pay. However, the seller then informed me that the money was not transferred to his account and hence asked me to retransfer it. He also asked me to split the total amount in rs.9000 and rs.8900. I again did the same. He then levied some atrocious fines, an amount of rs.7120 as a charge for holding. I again paid the same since i did not want my previous amount to go to waste.
So, a total of rs.46020 was paid to him and i see it was successfully transferred to the person. He then asked me for more money as fines for delayed payment. I then realized it to be a fraud and a scam.

I started researching about it now that i was coned. I found out that there is another complaint about the same person by another customer. And from a few of the person i know, i was told that this scam has been running for a quite some time. I am worried about the fact that a scam that has been running for this long still works and the person was confident enough to tell me that no one can do anything to him. He identified himself as cisf personnel.

I have come across a Honda Activa while searching for a bike in your OLX app showing bike no.(TS08FA7163) and when I contacted that person not received my call, after some time I received a call from the dialed number with one lady other side.
She told she works in Indian army and told if you are interested then ping me in my WhatsApp will send some pics of her bike.
Later told to give some amount(3100) for courier which I can deduct from our deal and also she shared the receipt naming Indian army and also taking my adhaar card photo, photo of mine then address where they need to deliver.(Only concern who will give me the guarantee that the documents I forwarded will not be misuse)
Then after 2-3 hours one guy called and told to submit 5100 for insurance when I denied told me he'll cancel the delivery and when I searched here I found these are new way to fraud people.
After that no call and message.
This things you need to take care before putting anyone interested to sell or buy not checking the background you all are showing there AD.
Ultimate looser will be the customer who's not going much inside and keeping faith in humanitarian sending some money and thinking the product which he'll receive by the mentioned time.
There is no guaranty will get the money back which I already paid but one thing I will surely get from you a mail saying you all look into this matter and will come with a solution which is not going to happen.
I am saying this as I found this while searching this but no one got their money back but a reply from you saying will look into this seriously.
With a hope in new India will have lot of new things will happen like this which I haven't faced before and waiting for a reply from OLX soon.

One shri Sahil Kumar identified himself of Indian Army personnel cheated me while I was seeing in car dekho olx he offered for me deal rupees 180000 as per his request I deposited the money 1.Rupees 1150 2.GPS 27999 3.GST 35249 4.Security charge 41711 and 5.But I paid these no.5 four times first time rs.30000, 20000, 5000 and 13891 after I paid all these amount he talked about late charge rs.28700 but I didn't paid all these but I just paid 16000 till date the car haven't delivered yet after that I searched about him and I found that what his whats app profile was same with the information I found about him and then I realize that he was the type of fraud person.

On Saturday 6th September we saw an advertisement of sale of a second hand bike by Md. Sadek in the OLX portal.Another person involved in this fraud was Sanjay Singh who was playing the role of the Courier man. Md Sadek shared his Identity card and the Smart card of the bike over Watsapp. The
contact number given in the Ad was [protected].We made this payment on behalf of Sanjoy Mitra and contacted the owner
accordingly over phone.We finalized the deal for Rs. 17000.The owner intially asked us to make the payment in the account number:[protected], IFSC code: PiTM0123456 and Holder name: JlNAT. But that account details showed invalid when we tried to make the payment through Internet Banking. When we informed that to him he gave us another account number:

He asked us to make the payment of Rs 17000 in 4 instalments: 3100, 6900, 5100 and 2000 and we made the payment accordingly over Mobile Banking. After we made the entire payment he refused to give us the bike and refused to return the money as well. When we tried to reach him over phone repeatedly he told us that it was a fraud. We have all the screenshots and proofs of the transfer of money and his identity and bank details and can also provide them on demand.

Yesterday night around 10 pm received call from a guy (+[protected] by saying he is in indian army and on whatsapp he sent his ids and ask me to send my google pay qr code, so that he’ll send 2500/- after giving qr code instead of credit 2500/-, 10, 000/- debited from account, immediately i got doubt, asked him who are you return my amnt so he said kuch mistake hua hai 5-7 days me money wapas aa jaega... Since i realised i got fraud immediately i checked my whatsapp from where he already deleted everything thing. And gave me video call that ek baar apna face dikha do mai tumhare paise wapas kr dunga warna nhi dunga..

A written brief about the offense : i have posted advertisement in olx for selling my dining table. Once i post the advertisement in olx started getting calls continuously. One person told me i liked your product i wan to buy it. While doing payment he told me to go to paytm bhim upi. Instead of making payment he sent me request code in which there were options like pay and decline. I declined and asked him why i should pay u... U should pay me. He said it will be paid to my account only once i accept the request and click on pay. I did not get any sms after transaction. I did not get any otp. Like this he told me to do it for 3 times as the price mentioned was 15000. By the time did for second time i realized it and checked my balance it was already down by 10000. After that i requested him to pay back but he kept on telling stories and asked me to deregister paytm from icici bhim (Linked account) which i did not do. He forced me to do it then he will pay me amount. I changed my passwords immediately of paytm and icici bank. I called customer care of paytm and icici bank both and lodged complaint. Then they blocked my account. Night he called me again asking why you have complained as my paytm accounts is blocked now. I said i have just given complain for my loss. I don know hwat bank has done... He called me again monday morning but i did not picked call. I have submitted documents as per icici bank in bank. Cyber crime paytm has sent me transaction details which i have submitted in bank as well. His number is azam-[protected]. I have transaction report from cyber cell paytm as well... Better close olx.. All people come with army dp in whatsapp.

This perosn name is shiv kumar cheated with me regarding bike purpose, i have paid rs. 7019/- by phone pe. I request you to please find him and try to return my money. And also take strict action against him for public protection. I call him he told about bike and tell us that he is agree with rs.20000 for sold his bike to us, and also tell me that first do payment rs. 7019 on phonepe for bike transfer paper work, so i was transfer him rs. 7019/-...

I had put up an ad for sale of my fridge on 31st august. I get a call from a person called vipin sharma, who agreed to buy my fridge for rs.22500.00,
He said he would transfer a token amount of rs.10000/- through paytm to my number, he called me that he did a test transfer of rs.5.00, but i did not receive this, he asked me to see the upi section in paytm, there i saw a request for rs.5.00 from him, i asked him why is there a request?, he replied that he is using a salary card, and in this first rs.5.00 would get deducted and then again get added to mt account along with the additional rs.5.00, i did what he said and after a few minutes saw my rs.5.00 back along with the additional rs.5.00, then he told me to proceed with rs.5000 in 4 installments, i did 2 transactions of rs.5000.00 each but this time nothing came back, on calling this person he hung up and is absconding with my rs.10000/-. On the same day another person by name of manjit singh calls up and starts to show interest to buy my fridge, and uses the same modus operandi to dupe me, this time i lashed him out.

A close friend of mine was selling his bike over olx to a customer. They had agreed upon an advance payment of some amount over google pay and remaining due amount was supposed to be paid in person by cash. The seller wasn't well equipped with google pay. The buyer had made the seller pay instead to the former an amount of 4500, by making excuses about that's how the seller would receive the advance payment via the app. I would like to lodge a complaint against the buyer named rahul choube for misleading the seller and stealing the money instead.

We got advertising in olx, honda dio with 2017 model was selling by customer named parmil kumar.

While selling he told view the bike take trail then pay the money
We belived beacuse he told himself army person with i'd proof.
But once deal started
He asked token amount for passing gate

Then again he asked 50% of money for clearence.

Their are many user in olx who are fraudster they fooled people in the name of indian army and they steal money from the innocent people i also got cheated in the olx when a user id posted a ad of alto car 2015 model and the amount of the car was very low i supposed that this is very good deal then the user watsapp me his fake id of cisf lucknow and told me to deposite the courier money rs 7120 and give me unusual bank ac paytm payment bank there is a very big gang behind this i wanted get some action on this type of fraud

Red mi note 5 pro worth 9000/- on olx. Payment has been done through paytm but they also want payment of insurance 11999/- from which 11000/- will be refunded and 999/- as parcel charges. Name of the person are : mr. Sanjiv kumar (Dealer), mr. Shiv kumar (Delivery boy), mr. Sk sk (Parcel sender according to bill). He (Dealer) told that he parceled the phone through army postal service...

He took to on olx then he send me some pic on whatsapp army id and he ask me to pay 19000 on paytm then he will deliver scooty and next day he say pay 16000 more for security amount it will be refund back to u and i pay them on paytm he paytm number is [protected]

By fraud he is still doing thet pls stop he
