Hi, today dt 07th Jun'19 while was looking for 4 wheeler vehicle in OLX website, I came across an advertisement of a Maruti Suzuki Swift vehicle with quoted price of Rs 2, 70, 000. Being found it interesting I tried to communicate with the seller through text and in less than minute I received a telephonic call and the person from the other side identified himself as one Mohammed Shakir from Hyderabad, Telengana. He said he is from Indian Army and is in need of money and therefore he wish to sell his car. But it was strange to find that the person was more interested in asking me about the courier amount rather than the sale consideration. Meanwhile I saw another advertisement on the same vehicle but this time contact person was from jaisalmer, Rajasthan and the price offered was much less than the previous one. He too called me up and identified himself as Mohammed Shakir and his way of approach was similar to that of earlier one. Most strange part was that both of them shared same identity proof, same RC and pics of the vehicle.
In a while i could see a pop up message that these are suspicious persons...
This needs to be checked...

I share add in OLX and then after 1 hr a call came, he said me that i am an army man and i want to purchase your product and the amount was 3000/-. He said me that i send you amount via paytm or google payments account. Than after some some time he called me that i am sending your amount via google payment bank and keep on your account and than he said me that a message would be came on your screen than just click there. I clicked there and i see a message through my bank account that i have credited a amount of 26000/- through my bank balance.

On monday 3/6/2019, i was searching for a 2nd hand two wheeler on olx in hyderabad. I found one on enquiry with the person, he told that he is in army and he bought this scooty for his wife but as their posting is changed and he got posted to vijayawada so he wants to sell scooty. Then he shared with me the photos of scooty. The listed price of scooty was 35000/- but i asked him to give at 27000/- and also agreed to it. Next he told me that your scooty will be delivered to you by indian army transport services and he asked my full address so i gave the full address. Next i asked him give me his identity proof and rc of the scooty. He gave me but i don't know about its authenticity.

After about one hour or so he said he is at army transport services office and he doing some paper work for transport of scooty. And he told me that i had to give 3150/- for dispatch of scooty and also asked to give my id proof. I told him that you give the money now i give you the total amount when i recieve scooty, but he insisted that you only have to pay the money then only bill will be generated in your name. So i transferred him 3150/- through paytm ([protected]). Next he said your scooty will be at your place by 6:30 pm and he also send me some invoice or bill of dispatch.

Then in evening about 19:00 hours i called him to ask that whether scooty will come today or tomorrow so he said it will be coming today itself in half an hour. After that one courier guy called me and said that we are coming at your place in nearly 20 mins before that you make the remaining payment and then they will get mail to deliver it. That time also i told him that you bring the scooty and i will give you the total amount when i recieve scooty. But he said until and unless you dont clear your amount they wont get mail to deliver it, so i paid him 23850/-. But then he called me and said that you were supposed to make payment in 20 minutes but unfortunately you exceeded the time so again you have to pay 16200+50/-. And at time of delivery 16200 will refunded and 50 will charged by them. And this time also i dont know why i transferred him the amount 16250/- but again he called me and said you were supposed to make payment in two parts 16200/- one and other 50/- because different bills will be generated. I said i don't want the scooty and i told him to return him the money that i paid but he told that money is with the army transport office and if the consignment is not delivered today then both buyer and seller have to go to mumbai to their head office for further things and it will take about 6 months to get refund. And he asked me better is to give another 16250/- in two parts and he made me believe that he is in army and your all money will be refunded at time of delivery. So this time also i dont know why i paid 16250/-. Then also he did not deliver the scooty. Again he is asking me to give 12000/- and he is saying that he will definitely deliver it after it. Total they took 59500/- for 27000 scooty.

Now at night at about 23:00 i called him and told that i am filling a complaint against him in police. After about 10 mins back he called me and said give the paytm no i will transfer you the amount. But along with the paytm no he was asking me the password of paytm adn saying that they want it for checking the transaction details. But i said i you want to see the transaction details i will give you the screenshot but he said no the manager of army transport services is asking for password to verify. I said i won't give you the password because i think they want the password to delete or hack my paytm account so that i don't remain with any proof.
Today 4/6/2019 i called him and asked him about money so he said what money what are you and he hanged up the phone. And now phone is not reachable ([protected])

Please sir look into the matter asap as they are scamming normal citizens in name of army. I am attaching all documents and photos of transactions. Please sir look in matter seriously and help me.

This guy posted ad for selling tvs jupiter and shared the id photo and pancard of an army guy named sahil kumar. He asked me to pay * in advance (Which i paid, trusting him to be an army man) and told rest i can pay after delivery. But later i got a call from another number who posed to be delivery guy and asked me to pay rest of amount upfront but i found that suspicious and asked him to show up first. I never got the delivery and the guy posing as army personnel refusedto return the payment saying it has been blocked with army courier office. Later i checked on this and found these to be scamsters. Please do the neefull to get me back my lost amount of 25250 paid through multiple transactions.

So i was selling a computer part online and got a call from a number [protected] and he seemed interesting in buying the things but he was fraud his friend with number [protected] and he instead of paying me rs.17500 asked me for rs.17500 and when i came to know he said i fool 100 people everyday using olx app and i am gonna sue olx and that man also.

After chat and discussion. He was sent me to sample videos.
He was fixed 3500 rs plus 500 rs courier charge. I was pay the amount 1500 rs on 16th april and balance 2500 rs on 23rd april.
He sent the account details to me via whats up. But i was sent the money via google tez. I sent my address details.

I had seen a vehicle i olx and i had contacted the seller (Pratap singh-[protected]) for the vehicle honda dio on[protected]... As the person told he is an indian army person and also told he is on duty in the bengaluru airport from where the vehicle is going to be dispatched from the "indian army parcel department" and submitted the bill which he told im suppose to pay the money before the vehicle is dispatched and if not satisfied with the vehicle for delivery he will refund the amount and told to pay the amount of rs 45000 in total, which was paid through paytm and google pay.
He also submitted the paytm account number. He also sent a indian army parcel department bill for the dispatching the vehicle. As there was a huge trust on the indian army i was drawn to pay the amount in advance. Also asked for extra charges more than the vehicles amount. "even to cancell the delivery i had to complete the procedure and then cancel" he told.

On[protected], I saw a bike on Olx & asked the bike owner's mobile number. We talked about a bike, documents & he answered me every question politely. After that, he sent his location.

  And the next day ie on[protected] me & my friend when to Kempegowda International Airport, Bangalore. We arrived at the Airport. He called me asked said wait for 5 mins we'll catch up. Within 2 mins he sent his an ID proof of Minister of Home Affairs & Income Tax Department ID to my Whatsapp no. So blindly I trusted him because he said I'm an Indian Army Soldier. After that, he said bro send me 5, 200₹ because of some registration & Travel charges. After that, he said one of my worker will bring the bike near to you & you'll see the bike if you don't like the bike I'll send the money back immediately bro. So I sent the 5, 200₹ money through Paytm.Â

 Finally, the worker didn't come to me. Within in 2 minutes, one of his worker called me and said bro while bringing the bike near to you the security guy hold me because of some billing issues. So send me the balance money & I'll be in front of you within 2 minutes. So I couldn't understand why he said to me. So I called the bike Owner & kept a conference call with his worker. The owner said my brother was waiting at outside why didn't you reached to my brother yet. The worker said sir I had been facing a problem with the security guy. So the conversation continued. Finally, Bike owner said to me bro send the remaining money he'll be in front of you within 5 minutes bro.

Actually, the bike's total price was 24k. Before that, I sent 5200₹ & again I sent 20, 000₹ while I'm in tension. Actually, I have to send 18800₹ to him. Then the worker called me & said bro why you send 20, 000₹. The bill was written in 18800₹ but you sent 20k. Why you did that? Eventually, I sent 25200 Rupees through Paytm.Â

   The owner said, bro, the bill was registered in 18800₹ so you again send me 18800₹ & I'll return the money when the bike arrived near to you. I said him bro I don't ve single penny in my pocket. The owner said, ask your friends & arrange the money bro. I'll return back your money. Really the routine conversation continued that like about 2 hours. Bike owner repeating the same dialogue again & again he not at all listening to me. At the same time, me & my friend doesn't ve charging in your mobiles, so the mobiles were switched off.Â

Meantime I went to one the cab drivers & said to him whatever happened to me they said a lot of fraud people are out there & how do you believe him without showing the bike first & without seeing them. So what can I say to cab driver I'm quiet. They've suggested us go to the Airport Police Station. We went to Police station & we out any doubt the officer said its Olx case right. We were shocked & listening to them. The Police Officers told us it's impossible to track them. In the meantime, they said go & meet the Cyber Crime Police Stations officers they'll track their mobile numbers. That's it, Sir.

I do have their every proof like their ID Proofs, Mobile Numbers, Call recordings & Chat History, Payments History & Account Number.

       I registered an FIR to Cyber Crime Police station, Infantry Road, Bangalore on 24th May 2019.

What'll you do now?

I meant this dealer(contact number-[protected] name Vikas Patel) in OLX to sell his activa 5g scooty(KA 02 JW 5866). He mentioned that he is from Army background. and wants to sell his scooty due to personal problem. we made a deal of 36000rs total which would include his delivery charges where I would pay half amount before delivery and half amount to be made after delivery. On the day of delivery(i.e 29/5/2019) he called and asked to pay complete amount than only he would deliver. after I made a payment to him via PAytm in account number(Army Regiment office Paytm number-[protected]

He called again and asked for additional 33, 333rs which was courier clearance He gave a reason that because he is sending the vehicle from army regiment (army cantt domlur village bangalore). which I denied to pay. after I denied he continuously called me and asked me to pay the money than only scooty would be delivered to me he said. than i asked him to meet me some where outside and deliver the scooty he denied and said. he is on duty he can not meet me. and from than onwards he is not receiving my call and not replying to my messages.

Hi, i am from ahmedabad, i faced online fraud on 27may 2019 by sandeep kumar from crpf. He showing to me his rc, aadhar card & crpf id card. So i belived to him. As per discussion on call he said to me pl pay 10400rs online army postal delivery charge (Satish kumar paytm ac holder) for sending car to my address. Also i sent him my identity proof images (Voter id&aadhar) to him for car owner transfer procedure. He shown to me parcel receipt when i transfer money to him. After it again he asking to me pay for army post clearance charge. So i feel that it was fraud. I denied it. I asking to him return back my money but they ignoring me. Pl support to me recover my money.

I contacted a person who is on olx named rajeev sonadhi (Don't know if this is a true id).

These persons mobile number is 0 [protected]. His location is in chandigarh and he had put an ad on olx that i saw about two weeks ago.

I saw an omega constellation mens watch that he was mentioned at a price 99, 999/-.

I sent a message to this person asking him what was his expected price?

He sent a message on olx that he needed the money and was willing to accept a price of rs 30, 000/-.

I asked him if this was a genuine watch or a fake?

He sent a message that it was from a relative in the usa that he got a gift of two watches including a: ladies model.

I saw the pics and asked him - that this seems to be a diamond studded watch so it seems that it's not an "original"

He confirmed that it was a diamond-studded watch and that he needed the money.

I asked him if he had any bill or else can he get me a certificate from an authorised dealer that it was a genuine watch.

He gave me an assurance that he would send the omega constellation quartz watch against an upfront payment and i made this payment to him through a bank transfer. (Proof attached)

Once i got this watch, i had it checked at ethos watch boutique and was shocked to know that it was a complete fake chinese cheap watch - not even worth rs 1000/-!!!

I got back to this mr. Rajeev who told me that he would return me my money but later i found out that he seems to have taken off the ad as well as his id on olx.

I paid rs 27000/- to him and he has just vanished from olx.

Please note i have filed an fir in bangalore at my nearest police station about this case and also that olx has many fake replica watch sellers on its olx india website.

Please help me to recover my rs 27000/- and in case you deny it - please trace this person and recover my money back.

After putting advertisement on olx a person called and said i am sending u online money and money will be crediting in your account through phone pay and then called me again to press the link sent by him n message but i did not because i got some intuition that he s a fraud and called me like that way... Kindly take very strict actions against those people a small child called me and said i want to buy the product plz don't sell it to anyone i said i[censored] want come and pay the amount at door step and he was fraud... On 26th May I got in contact with a seller who addressed him as Mr. Jai Dev who was selling his friend’s R15 V3 for Rupees 65, 000. He said he was in the Indian army and was posted in Kempegowda International Airport. He said he couldn’t meet me personally as they were against the army orders and I had to pay only the courier charges before the delivery of the bike. He also promised me to send the courier receipt once the payment is done. He sent me his photo along with his personal information like his Aadhar Card, Pan Card and Army Id Card, bike documents and won my trust.
Initially I paid him only the courier fees of 2, 100. After some time the courier person who addressed himself as Mr. Naveen called and asked me to pay for the army gate passing fees of 21, 000. He promised that I would get the bike on 27th May morning at 9 a.m.
On 27th, I called him to check on the status of the delivery and ended up paying another 21, 500 for the RTO registration. He also told me that I need to pay the remaining 40, 000 to transfer the ownership and I ended up paying that as well. After 30 minutes he called me again to pay for the insurance and I paid another 10, 200 for the same. I paid another 8, 000 for the Army GPRS. I paid all this additional amount as he promised me he would return the amount when he met me in person as it was the army rules and he had only cash in hand. On realising that he was making more demand for the money I told him I would not transfer any more money and they both stopped receiving my calls.
Suspicious of the happenings I researched and found out that there were many cases on OLX army frauds. I told them I would go to the police and file an FIR against them and he laughed and told me to do it confidently as the police wouldn’t be able to do anything as he has been doing this fraud from months.

I have spent rupees 1, 02, 800 through GooglePay in this fraud case. I realise my carelessness in trusting an unknown person but I trusted them because they said they were from the army and had also sent me their identity proof. I have also shared with them my brother, Karthik J’s Aadhar card and Pan card. I think there is a chance of them misusing this information.

I kindly request you to please act against these two men who are fooling people in the name of army and also to catch hold of them and help me get back my money.

- After transferring 1000 RS I have waited for 4/5 hrs. As I haven't received a mobile yet So I have called him. At this stage, he told me that transfer more 5000 Rs as security deposit and this is their process

This is to inform you that i residing at satish kumar, thane faced one online fraud on 26 may 2019. Some one identity shown me as cisf indian army person posted in jammu and kashmir having all his ids, uid, voter, car rc and army batch made fraud with me at olx.

For purchasing car i transfered him token money of rs. 4100/- at phone pe payment bank account no. [protected]

Holder name satish kumar

From this token money he shown me that he have sent the mobile through parcel. Shown complete images of parcel and over nite express service with fake courier sending receipt on the name of indian army.

On receipt he mentined the balance of money to be paid after receiving the car.

On the very next day i received the call from courier boy and his number also shown in true caller as overnite express courier boy, he forced me to clear out all the payments then only over nite will authorize him to receive the parcel as per the rule of indian army.

On successfuly blackmailing and complete hypnotising done by satish army person and courier boy, i tranfered fund in two slo t150000/- for receiving the parcel and to protect my token money getting wasted if dont transfer again.

But now that person is denying from the fact that he have received the money and coueier boy also not picking up the call. He looted my money and he is making fool to we all indians by the using the name of indian army.

I have checked google and many of such sufferers are there but no one lodge complaint agaisnt them.

I request you to please lodge my complaint and put them behind the bar. I tried to lodge the complaint at geeta colony police station but they have not written my complaint.
