We had purchased an onida 1.5 ton split ac from uptodate trade links, taleigao goa around 5th june.
Within a month of the purchase, there was ineffective cooling. We called the dealer around 20th august (As we were out of town) to get it serviced. Onida service personnel turned up, but we were not told on what was wrong, and post that we were out of town again for about 2 months. When we tried operating the ac again on 26th october, we realised that the said problem of ineffective cooling was not resolved.
We called the dealer uptodate trade links, taleigao goa on 26th october (Complaint no.[protected]. However the onida service team turned up only on 10th november. They said they will speak with the dealer and let us know. There was no follow up or service call to check whether the problem was fixed; the first occasion (In august) and on the second occasion or how the problem is to be resolved. When we got the number of onida’s service incharge, mr shrikant (Mobile no [protected]), again we were informed by him that he will talk with dealer (Which is you) and get it fixed. It pained me to see the quality of service from onida. On the first time and on the second time as well, the servicemen were rude and as it turns out my problem is still not fixed - we got ridiculous reasons and analogies on why the machine can’t and will not work.
On 16th november around 11-00 am two company technician arrived at my house and attended the unit and completed the work within 10 minutes time. I have some unanswered the question in the mind:
1. If the problem was fixed in ten minutes then why the service engineers has taken 20 days to start the ac. Why service engineers had come on 10th november and left without solving the problem.in case if the problem resurfaces after 5-6 months, the unit will be out of warranty at that time.
2. The person named mr. Sushil (Arrogant and rough person) and mr. Akash were not carrying any job card.in absence of the job card, how you come to know that the unit is repaired to the satisfaction of the customer.
3. Technician refused to wait for some more time to observe the performance of the unit.
4. You had attended twice my ac unit two times from the date of purchase i. E.in last 6 months. Therefore i make a statement that the unit has to be under observation for next 12 months for any manufacturing defect as the unit has failed twice in first six moths of purchase.
