I booked hotel Collection O Pearl Inns Executive Near Phoenix Marketcity - Viman Nagar via oyo phone app for my parents and the booking was confirmed after payment was made by me online.
When my parents arrived at the hotel, they were denied checkin saying that we don’t take oyo bookings and hotel asked them to pay double the amount for the room which is ₹1500. As it was late in the night, they had to book the room at double the price.
I have called oyo customer service multiple times. Each time they ensured that a refund will be processed and then disconnected the call. I also wrote emails but no response from oyo.
This is a pathetic experience for user. Please process my refund of 1500₹ asap and take appropriate measures to delist any such hotels from oyo.

    Hello,

    Yes, finally after writing many emails and many disconnected calls, I got a refund of ₹727 as opposed to what I had to pay to book room at night time. Kindly provide a refund of remaining amount. My parents were asked to pay 1500₹ from hotel.
    It was already a pathetic experience that they were denied service after paying online. It is not acceptable that you just refund online amount after we went through such a terrible experience.

      I booked a room in hotel orient comfort on 15th April through oyo app. My booking ID is PP960847. I paid booking amount through app but when I reached hotel, they told me that booking is invalid and if I want to checkin I will have to pay extra tariff charges which is not mentioned anywhere in the oyo. As I had no other option, I had to pay extra charges i.e. 772₹ apart from 428₹ which I paid while booking, so total bill was summed up to 1200. They also refused to give me bill. Even though I am sharing screenshot of payment done by me. This is totally not expected from oyo. I just want refund for extra money that I paid which is 772₹ as soon as possible. Oyo is refusing for refund as hotel manager is not ready to accept that he took extra money. Also he asked to pay either cash or do transaction on some QR code which was linked to an unanimous person account.

        Booking ID - PBF16912
        I booked a room for[protected] in collection o 810674 gani home stay . I paid Rs1018 and when I went to the hotel they denied my checkin by stating it’s of low fare and asked for extra Rs 900 . When I said I can’t pay that much they said we cannot checkin and we have told OYO customer care to not give any bookings for next ten days as their hotel is prebooked by some people for function . I called OYO customer care and they said they will validate and initiate for refund . Today I received a mail stating

        “ Hello
        This email is regarding your escalation for Booking ID: PBF16912 on the property ID: CHN2070 for Check-In Issue
        We regret to inform you that upon investigation with our hotel partner, we could not validate your claim.
        Hence, we will not be able to process your refund. You can reach out to us for further assistance.
        Regards OYO Customer Care“

        I wanted to know what investigation has been done from OYO side. I wanted to get the refund . I am attaching the image for the proof that I stood outside the hotel after they declined my checkin . Serious action should be taken on the hotel .

          On 11th March 2023, I had booked a hotel room for 3 people in Gurgaon. My Booking ID for which was OCS19836. However, on reaching the property I was denied stay because they did not have triple occupancy. On talking to the customer care, I was promised another room in near by hotels but they failed to do that too and we settled on a refund for my booking. After receiving a mail regarding my refund I waited for 7-14 business days for my refund as stated in the email but nothing happened. On calling the customer care again my calls were put on hold for long and then eventually hung up. After 14-15 attempts at getting a customer care executive to listen and actually take action, one of them sent me another email confirming escalation on the issue and promised me refund in 7-14 days. Even after 14 days since their last email I haven't received any refunds and it's extremely humiliating to get to their customer service executive and getting hung up.

            Hello,
            i Akash raj booked hotel vip, kota. booking id HU0B9692. from 17th april to19th april of amount 1646rs. After reaching in the premises the hotel staff denied my entry saying that we have cutoff our ties with oyo as they are not processing pur payments. i also called customer care, they made me pay additional 109rs saying now the hotel staff will allow the entry, after the payment oyo service sent me a message saying that my booking id has been changed and the booking details has been changed, the oyo staff ensured that its nothing to worry about, now that booking id is also showing invalid.
            Just because of all this and late night i paid them AGAIN the charges of the same room that they asked me.
            after complaining in customer care they said that they will return the money but a day later they e-mailed that thay cannot validate my claim.

              This is to bring under every one notice.

              I booked hotel for company visit through Oyo rooms app in Bengaluru, with booking id R6JU3355. But they not providing Tax invoice but just simply sending booking details in mail when connected to Oyo support number.

              Without providing tax invoice, How Oyo is running business in India? and there is no proper response from Oyo customer service.

                      Hi,

                      I made a booking (H3VO6310) using the OYO app. The booking was for initially 3rd-9th March 2023, however due to personal reasons I had to check out on 4th March itself. Per my discussion with the Customer support team, they told me that they will deduct 1 night fee as penalty and will refund the rest of the amount, but till date I haven't got my refund.

                      Total Amount paid - Rs. 7909
                      Amount per Night - 1318
                      After deducting amount for 2 nights (3-4th March), the balance amount to be refunded was Rs. 5273.

                      Please help in processing the refund

                        I had done a booking through gpay on 18th april 2023 for rs 573 at 10:38 pm but i did not recieve any booking id or booking confirmation from oyo, and my money is deducted from my account.when i tried contacting the customer support, they said they cannot resolve this issue, but my money is showing deducted
                        I have the transaction id as my proof
                        This is absolute worst service from oyo and i demand an immediate refund/response

                          I have booke a room on 17 april 2023 for dates 22 april-23 april. I had done payment of rs 606 and after that when i checked on app it started showing booking on 17 april itself .i immediately called customer service +[protected] and told them .they told me its some software glitch and they told me they will cancel the booking and i will be refunded full.they cancel and made new booking and i had to make new payment as they told me i will recieve refund in 2-3 hours .now when i chec on app it say cancellation charges 606 rs .i tried calling them on +[protected] but now when i chose refund option it says either to go previous menu or main menu everytime.
                          I feel i am cheated.

                              I have booked a Hotel for 21 April till 25th April 2023. I had to cancel the booking 4days in advance as the Hotel is not picking up any calls. Normally the refund is supposed to reflect directly in the wallet, but this time is not the case. I called the customer support and they said they need to initiate the refund from their side, they kept me in wait for 20mins and said they have initiated the refund which will take 7 TO 14DAYS!!!
                              I have to book another hotel, how am i supposed to wait for 7 to 14DAYS? I have called 2-3 times and every time they are saying the same stuff and telling to wait 14Days.
                              The amount is 7274.

                                After numerous amount of calls to your customer services, which promised me a refund of my amount for a booking that has been cancelled due to modification reasons, the refund still haven’t been received yet after a month, and even after numerous calls the customer services turned out to be pointless, booking ID K7617145, Ticket number [protected]

                                    My checkin at hotel orient classic nagpur was denied even after booking and paying in advance through oyo app. My booking ID is LAUY1094. Please look into this and help me get my refund of 409₹ as this is totally unfair from hotel management. I have shared screenshot of my booking.

                                      I made a transaction for booking a hotel via oyo rooms on 24th march 2023 with transaction amount of 2384/- ( from my sbi saving account). But my booking was modified by the hotel staffs at the last minute of checkin time(29 March 2023) without any information (I booked the room for two persons and they changed it, for only one person).Then I contact oyo customer care and they told me that the hotel owner didn't attend their calls . And oyo force me to cancel my booking and rebook same room with another transaction, also the room rate increase at that time .So I cancel my booking and denied to rebook. And it has been more than 14 working days since oyo is telling me that they have initiated the refund and that i will receive the amount within 14 working days. Now oyo customer care didn't respond properly they didn't connect my call to billing section.

                                      I made a transaction for booking a hotel via oyo rooms on 13 th April 2023 with transaction amount of 1248/- (from my canara bank saving account)...and I was reached that hotel that time the hotel boy said to me rooms are not available for you in this payment give extra money then give rooms he asked double of my booked payment that time I canselled my booking but didn't get refund...5 days I called in coustomer care but didn't get refund ...now i understand Oyo is a fake app ...they are cheat our money ...they will not give refunds so please ban this fake app

                                        On a recent trip, I decided to book a hotel through the "OYO Hotels" online app. After browsing through the options, I found a hotel named "OYO The Avenue Residency Near Leisure Valley Park" that seemed to be conveniently located and within my budget. The app asked for a prepayment of Rs. 532, which I made through UPI mode to confirm the booking.

                                        I traveled to the hotel, which was approximately 5 kilometers away, by auto. However, upon reaching the hotel and presenting my booking details, I was shocked when the hotel staff denied me the booking. They informed me that they did not have any rooms available at the price I had booked and demanded an additional payment of Rs. 1200 to provide me with a room. I was taken aback by this sudden change and felt deceived as I had already paid the prepayment and relied on the confirmation from the OYO app.

                                        Considering that I was in a different city and traveling alone, I was left with no choice but to pay the extra amount in order to secure accommodation for the night. It was distressing to be put in such a situation, where I had to pay more than the initially agreed upon price for a confirmed booking.

                                        To make matters worse, when I raised the issue with OYO, they were unhelpful and provided me with a meager refund of only Rs. 132, which was far less than the additional amount I had to pay to the hotel. This left me feeling cheated and dissatisfied with the services of both OYO Hotels and the hotel staff.

                                        As a consumer, I feel that I was subjected to unfair treatment and misleading information by OYO Hotels and the hotel staff. It was extremely inconvenient and financially burdensome to be forced to pay an additional amount at the hotel despite having a confirmed booking through the OYO app. The uncooperative attitude of OYO in resolving the issue and the inadequate refund offered further added to my dissatisfaction.

                                        I believe that OYO Hotels and the hotel staff's conduct was unethical and violated my consumer rights. I am seeking assistance from the consumer forum to address this issue and seek appropriate resolution and compensation for the inconvenience, financial loss, and mental distress caused by this experience.
