On a recent trip, I decided to book a hotel through the "OYO Hotels" online app. After browsing through the options, I found a hotel named "OYO The Avenue Residency Near Leisure Valley Park" that seemed to be conveniently located and within my budget. The app asked for a prepayment of Rs. 532, which I made through UPI mode to confirm the booking.

I traveled to the hotel, which was approximately 5 kilometers away, by auto. However, upon reaching the hotel and presenting my booking details, I was shocked when the hotel staff denied me the booking. They informed me that they did not have any rooms available at the price I had booked and demanded an additional payment of Rs. 1200 to provide me with a room. I was taken aback by this sudden change and felt deceived as I had already paid the prepayment and relied on the confirmation from the OYO app.

Considering that I was in a different city and traveling alone, I was left with no choice but to pay the extra amount in order to secure accommodation for the night. It was distressing to be put in such a situation, where I had to pay more than the initially agreed upon price for a confirmed booking.

To make matters worse, when I raised the issue with OYO, they were unhelpful and provided me with a meager refund of only Rs. 132, which was far less than the additional amount I had to pay to the hotel. This left me feeling cheated and dissatisfied with the services of both OYO Hotels and the hotel staff.

As a consumer, I feel that I was subjected to unfair treatment and misleading information by OYO Hotels and the hotel staff. It was extremely inconvenient and financially burdensome to be forced to pay an additional amount at the hotel despite having a confirmed booking through the OYO app. The uncooperative attitude of OYO in resolving the issue and the inadequate refund offered further added to my dissatisfaction.

I believe that OYO Hotels and the hotel staff's conduct was unethical and violated my consumer rights. I am seeking assistance from the consumer forum to address this issue and seek appropriate resolution and compensation for the inconvenience, financial loss, and mental distress caused by this experience.

    I booked an Oyo rooms(collection o RCC blizz) Hyderabad for 5 days based on images given in Oyo app. I was travelling with my wife and 1.5 years old baby. When I reached hotel they have asked me to pay before seeing the rooms. I made the payment and when I see the room it was totally different, dirty rooms, dirty bathroom, no proper lights, no no clean Beds, so I have immedieatly vacated the room and booked a different room. When I called oyo they telling cannot refund the amount as per policy and cannot do physical verification of hotels. This is totally fradulent activitu from the hotel and the OYo

      The property refused to checked in and charged Rs. 1400 extra for the room. They forced to cancel the room booked by OYO. They refused the accept coupon given by OYO.
      I was with my baby so I have done what they said. But that's not fare and healthy for us and for other OYO. customers.

        Address: Super oyo collection O hotel sunshine ne index , lane no 5 , pune

        Searching for hotel booking on Oyo app,
        Select hotel at Pune for booking, tab given in app for payment I make payment by Paytm UPI option on Oyo app. Payment done, amount deducted but hotel booking status not recievd on any communication area, in Oyo app too, booking not confirm.
        So kindly resolve, and refund may money

          On 14th April I booked a hotel in Chandigarh from Oyo and I paid the amount through net banking and booking was not confirmed by the team.
          Then I called customer service and they abused me and said you are lying.
          No refund nothing...
          Not acceptable.shameful for such a big unicorn.

              Oyo agent has helped me to book a room he sent me the link to pay amount which was Rs.3280, inspite of this he didn't share any booking details for me my amount has been debited, and Oyo coustomer service is very poor to help me.can I get my money

                My booking at OYO was automatically cancelled by the hotel and even after so many tries I am not getting my refund. Whenever I call for customer support, they are booking another hotel for me without even asking me and then keeping my call on hold for 10-15 minutes and disconnecting afterwards. I have call recordings of the same.

                I regret to inform you that I am highly disappointed by this service. My refund is not initiated till today. Please do the needful and refund my amount as soon as possible.

                    It has been one month since I made my cancellation with ID I6A60484 and I have yet to receive my refund. Despite calling the service center over 20 times, I have been placed on hold and then cut off without any resolution.

                      Hello sir/mam,
                      i have placed an order on oyo rooms on 16th of march and have prepaid Rs460.79 for that order, but on visiting the hotel, my order ws refused and i was made to cancel the order. After that i have contacted the customer care team at oyo several times and everytime i was made to wait for 72hours in order to to process the refund but still after so many dayss i havent received my refund. please look into the matter and kindly initiate my refund as soon as possible.

                        I made a transaction for booking a hotel via oyo rooms on 30th March 2023 with transaction amount of 699/- (from paytm). I cancelled the booking on the same date (30th March 2023) due to extra money demand on hotel check in and it has been more than 14 working days since oyo is telling me that they have initiated the refund and that i will receive the amount within 14 working days. I asked oyo for the bank reference number so that i could confirm whether there is any issue with the bank. After confirming with the bank mentioning the transaction the bank says we have already updated your transactions but your biller has not initiated the refund. I asked oyo again for telling them that there is no issue from the bank side. Kindly initiate the refund but the response from oyo is same that your bank reference number is so and so and to talk with your bank. I am fed of calling oyo and icici again and again without any worthy results.

                            This happened because i had some balance present in my ouo rupee so the booking was made instantly and there was no pop up window asking if i am sure as soon as i clicked on the booking button by mistake.
                            Their OYO rupee wallet don't have option to take the money out to your bank account. And I had balance in it because in january when i was trying to make booking their app had some issue which was not showing booking confirmed although miney was getting debited. So, I made the booking through customer care and they refunded the amount in oyo rupees.
                            After that, I talked to their customer care twice but they were saying that booking was made after 1 pm so no refund can be done.
                            They don't have option in their cancellation menu for booking made by mistake that's why i chose an option and wrote in the description that it was a mistake.
                            And their customer service was telling me to make a fresh booking within 24 hours and once the check in and check out is done from that booking my previous amount will be refunded.
                            So, they expect me to pay money to get my money back.
                            Also they have taken hostage of the remaining amount in my oyo rupees wallet.
                            I don't want to use their app after such a bad experience but they son't let me take my money back from the wallet. So, I am pressurized to use their service.

                              Respected Sir,
                              I booked a hotel through OYO on 05/04/2023 for 07/04/2023 to 09/04/2023. But when I got to the hotel the owner told me that we do not take booking through OYO and told us (me & my mother) to get off their property. It was around 10 pm and my mother was not feeling well, so we just booked the room again for 2 days for Rs. 2000 and my hotel booked through OYO was prepaid and was Rs. 848. At that time we were helpless and we were also scammed Rs. 2000. In the end we took the booking and we are staying in that hotel.
                              The hotel's name is Flagship Hotel Hill View, Jaipur. I am attaching the voice recording of the owner confirming that he does not take bookings through OYO. I am sure that you are gonna do something about it.

                                I booked a room in hotel orient flagship on 6th april through oyo app. I paid booking amount through app but when I reached hotel, they told me that booking is invalid and if I want to checkin I will have to pay extra tariff charges which is not mentioned anywhere in the oyo. As I had no other option, I had to pay extra charges i.e. 600₹ apart from 400₹ which I paid while booking, so total bill was summed up to 1000. They also refused to give me bill. Even though I am sharing screenshot of payment done by me. This is totally not expected from oyo. I just want refund for extra money that I paid which is 600₹ as soon as possible. I have contacted oyo service multiple times but it is not worth contacting. Executives are only putting calls on hold for long hours and not responding. Resolve my issue as soon as possible.

                                    I had booked oyo hotel from 25 to 26(checkout) november 2022. He did let me check in so I called oyo executive and he booked me another oyo and I paid again full online(2nd time). That hotel did not check me in as he said the hotel is booked for marriage and it's oyo's mistake that they booked. So I again called executive and she booked me another oyo room again. I paid full advance(3rd time) and she said I will get a full refund of the previous two bookings. So I went to the 3rd hotel and he refused me to check in again and said NO ONE WILL ACCEPT OYO PAID BOOKINGS. So with no options left and completely tired I went for an offline booking in another guest house.
                                    Still today 6 april 2023. I did not get my refund
