when i received this order the delivery boy charged me Rs 459 instead of Rs 316. when i complained them they said that its our technical fault and we cannot refund the money and therefore u also have to pay Rs 1149 for the steam iron instead of Rs 792. They Re Harrasing Me mentally by talking rudely and by also saying that we will cancel the order and u will have to buy again and pay extra amount.
pepperfry is doing fraud and is cheating the customers. Why should we suffer because of their Technical Fault.
If they do not Refund me the amount I will File A consumer Case against Them.

    guys never buy from pepperfry. I tell you the reason I ordered a Prestige Omega Deluxe Fry Pan 240 mm with Lid from Pepperfry couple of weeks back. They sent me the product which was broken. On my complaint they arranged for a reverse pickup, during my complain I told them that I do not want the money back but the product itself and they agreed to it. Later I got a call from their customer care that they cannot send me the product but they will refund the amount as they do not have replacement policy and suggested me to place the order again. I placed the order again and today I got the same broken fry pan that I had sent back for replacement.

      DESCRIPTION
      I placed order for 32 products out of which one was "Himalaya Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo" on 28th Jan 12. I received the product in leaked condition on 5th Feb and same day raised the issue with their customer support by opening a support ticket. After this I just kept opening support cases and mailed them only to get no response or lukeworm response.
      They asked me for pictures of the leaked product after 15 days of opening 1st case and how can they expect me not to use product which I needed for 15 days. they must have asked me for pictures in first instance itself which they did not.

      They finally told me compensation of 200 pepper points which is equivalent to Rs. 200. Their policy at time I bought products was that I can use pepper points for anything above Rs. 200 purchase, in short to use 200 pepper points on purchase of Rs. 400.

      After many tickets followup I was credited 200 pepper points in my account on 18th April which is 2.5 months after I logged my 1st complaint. Now their policy have changed. To use pepper points, i have to buy Rs. 1200 worth products from their website for utilizing my full 200 pepper points. Its just cheating customer by asking them to purchase Rs. 1000 worth more products just to get their compensation.

        I have purchased green tea from pepperfry.com website two week ago and this is what they say after deducting money from my credit card

        I ordered one Sony 16GB SD (SDHC) UHS-1 Card - 94MB/s Class 10 MRP Rs.1350/- "But" they sent Sandisk 16 GB 30 MB/s Card MRP Rs.1010/-. This is sheer cheating at their end.

          Hi,
          Please don't prefer pepperfry.com for shopping through online even if they give mega offers. Because that offers won't work. One of my colleague referred me pepperfry.com and when I registered I got 500 pepperfry points. I also bought a product of around Rs.1048 and while checkout there was an option to utilize the pepperfry points. In the final page, I was asked to click the payment option, where I preferred Cash On Delivery. Since this is my first time shopping with pepperfry, I thought to test their service with Cash On Delivery first.
          I didn't received any call from them for two days, after that one of their customer support representative called me up and verified my address details to ship. I fortunately inquired about the bill, he said that the bill is Rs.1048 and I need to pay the whole amount. He also added that this offer is not valid for "Cash On Delivery". He raised a harsh question like "Why you selected Cash On Delivery, then?".
          There is no reply for my mail which I posted three days back and also I can't able to reach their toll free number too. They really wasted my three days time. I would have purchased it in my local shop, Its just a waste of time shopping in pepperfry. I ordered dress to my sis for her birthday. My plan was collapsed completely because of their idiotic business strategy.

          Few questions to pepperfry.com:
          1. Why there is no message like "Pepperfry" free points cannot be used for "Cash On Delivery".
          2. If we can't use pepperfry points for Cash On Delivery, why you are detecting the points visually in the screen? After I checked the amount to pay only I clicked on Cash On Delivery.
          3. Is this the way to talk to a customer?

          Toll Free numbers and Online Chat is not enough to get a good name among people. Its all just a promotional activity and to create an impact like customer support will help you always. But it doesn't. You guys didn't responded to my mail for three days.... And harsh in phone. Can't reach you guys in weekends & night also.

          Sorry to say, very worst service from pepperfry.... Disappointed........

          For me pepperfry has been best online shopping site till date... Just to clarify for everyone, I'm not from pepperfry staff or anyway linked to them... I'm just a happy customer of them. I have shopped from almost all major shopping sites and I'll prefer buying from pepperfry anytime.

          I've had transactions worth over Rs. 20k from them and I'm really happy with their service. The only bad experience I had was with TIMTARA, which took 2 months to deliver an item...
          This regarding my Order No.[protected] which i received on 3/11/2012 and it found that the seal of the box of my one touch ultra strip is broken and there were two seal one side of the box one is of LIFESCAN Johnson Johnson Company INDIA printed on the seal which was not broken but pasted on the broken seal below it and it was of LIFESCAN(printed on the seal) the same broken seal was on the other side of the box and which was not broken there was only one seal i.e of LIFESCAN(printed on the seal) and on the box it was written that DO NOT USE IF GLUED SEALS ARE BROKEN so i am requesting you to look into this matter and replace my product with the new one in which the seal is not broken so i have attached the pictures of it so you can see it and the Lot No. on the box was 3324027 printed.

          Kindly reply me if any sought of help required from my side and please solve the above issue as soon as possible.

            HI all,

            I am sam john, from cochin. I use to do online purchases fom many sites and i found pepper fry is one that delivering the cheapest product,their indicative products are in higher quality.

            when u pay COD(Cash on delivery) or Online they wont give u proper response and when u trying to call their toll free no. its not ringing an when.
            i asked them about this this they responded like its bcz of line buzy,
            again about the quality of the product i was very much disappointed with pepperfry,and a very poor customer service.


            now its ur turn whether to go fo it or not... find some other places for you to get the products that will be my advise

              Pepperfry is the new and worst shopping site ever. I had purchased Gatsby men gift set worth Rs. 725 for gifting purpose to someone's marriage.

              I asked customer care representative (named Nerry) 3 time before making the purchase that the gift set is in Gatsby box or are they loose products. He confirmed me that these are nicely packed in Gatsby gift set with having diff. space for each product. So i ordered it. My friends’ marriage was on 5th Feb 2012 and i received the product on 4th Feb 2012. But when i opened the pepperfry box..it was all loose products with no Gatsby gift box. And i checked all the products. Most of them were expired and near expiring date. And also it was not genuine products. I called the customer care no. same time and told about this. i told him that i relied on your product and not purchased any other gift and i have no time left. So he said gift it somehow and we will refund the money.

              I did the same. Now when i am following up with them they have no answer for it except sorry. Every time i call up they say will sort it out in 24 hrs but no email no call back ever. I asked them about the refund or coupon against that purchased so they simply denied. They say we can’t help it and cannot reimburse it. I told them it was promised by your representative only. But they are not responding and simply said NO. I even have the proofs for it.

              I would advise to the govt. officials to close such fake and bogus sites and should be levy with heavy penalties.

              Many of my friends had a bad experience with this fraud site. They are the dirt cheap local guys having no professionalism. Each and every customer care rep. is useless and have no sense. I had discussed the same prob with Nerry/ Prateek/ Shweta and 2 more rep. All are helpless and nobody is responding properly.

              THAT IS WHY THEY GIVE HEAVY DISCOUNTS TO BE-FOOL PEOPLE. ITS ALL EXPIRED PRODUCTS AND MODIFIED MANUALLY.

              NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE. WORST SHOPPING SITE, WORST PRODUCTS- EXPIRED, WORST CUSTOMER CARE.

              I feel its just a group of cheap dirt useless group running this co. I wasted my money but ofcourse i can stop others to waste their own.

              Try placing an order on Cash on Delivery using pepper points and they would not allow you redeem your pepper points, pepper points can be redeemed only with prepaid orders ...why? Sites
              like pepperfry.com are luring gullible people at large by throwing 500 discounts coupons with minimum purchase of 1000 which they call as pepper points, now let me for benefit of everyone caution people not to get lured by such deals and companies, they will take money from you and will not process order. People must understand that such sites maybe running with sole intent of fraud and not to honor orders. If they are so clean and honest why do not they allow people to use their discounts wit h cash on delivery orders so people build up trust with them over a time, but here maybe they have different agenda like they did it with me. Yesterday I have placed an order with them and used this discount with it since i am new to them i thought to test them first by using Cash on Delivery option but to my surprise they did not allow me redeem discount with Cash on Delivery, so i decided to give them a try and paid them online through netbanking and amount got debited from my bank account, after one makes a payment bank site moves you back to merchant site pepperfry here and i got a response on there page and I quote "Thank you! Your order is being processed and should get confirmed soon." After waiting for few hours patiently of confirmation email which never came in, I called there customer care help line and one of there agent name Sandy(which i am sure is a fake name too) said to me that she is escalating the same and should get resolved in next few hours, in between i also wrote an email and attached proof of my bank statement so to substantiate my claim even though there agent sandy refused it as she said bank statement is not required, I did it out of my own courtesy, since no one called me till late evening I called them up again and coincidentally same girl picked the phone and now she took a complete U turn and said that she never said it would be resolved in few hours and that it may take 48 hours now and hung up the phone on me. I wonder these agents who work for petty salaries have attitude and air to the like of bollywood filmstars - shame on them and surely comapny covering and protecting them and giving them covering or maybe they are trained such way so to toss people at large. People must also note that they should not get mislead by facebook apreciations and likes of such websites because on facebook one can make many account and keep appreciating there own company and at same time on facebook they have control to hide such post where people may be wanting to escalate there issues and experiences for public at large so to bring into notice of everyone practices adopted by such companies, so there facebook page would always keep them clean and customer friendly but reality maybe far different. I will surely forget about my money after few days with a very sour experience but i thought to help out many who may just get lured and place order with them only to feel cheated and save them from loosing there hard earned money.
              What may i achieve out of this after all I can substantiate my review if anyone wants to check I just want to safeguard interest of many out there who may not suffer to hands of such companies/websites.
