I am doing II year BBA (English medium). I have not yet rcvd my books from my study centre. I am repeatedly enquiring them in this matter. But all my efforts are in vain. I am working women, only if I get my books in time, Iam able to study. Even in the I yr also I had the same problem. I have not rcvd my Iyr Marksheets also. I have paid all my IIyr and IIIyr Fees properly. Iam very sorry to tell this that your service is very poor. I am not hurting you. Atleast please inform me when will I get the books and marksheet. Send me the books atleast before the examination dates are announced.

India got lots of capable persons but people working in Periyar university in Salem are damn useless. They even can't provide proper exam dates. imagine how they will perform in other field. The education minister should look into this matter and just rid out all those old rotten persons and recruit new knowledgeable persons. So that it can help the lakhs and lakhs of people studying in this university.

Always time the time table is coming late and we are facing a lot of problem and the same thing happen when the result out hope that the university will consider the problem in the coming academic year

I m doin my bba...I dont know how the universities is function unlike others.We hv face lot of problem due to many reason of this university..Lot of problems to be mention but it guite numerous...Here are some defects of this university.
1.Late arrival of exam schedule causing problem to those students from far place at the time of booking rail or flight.
2.Not appropriate while getting results.
3.Mark evaluation basis which really affects to quality education.

i greatly agree all the above mentioned comments... i did my PG English in this university... i have never seen a bad university like this... worst in everything... particularly in valuation... that too in English department... they are valuing the paper randomly without seeing the content of the paper... then what is the use of our hardworks? why should we study, when you award marks randomly? we could not tell others the wonderful...! percentage the university have awarded to us... and moreover we cant persue our M.Phil programmes in other universities because of the second class percentage... its not my emotional outburst... but the cry of many students like me..please do consider this and take necessary steps...

I gave my paper in nov 2007 first time i got result failed in two paper .i was shocked to see that but again i gather my courage and gave exams in 2008 august . I got result again shocking. I was declared failed again .
I am a service class woman having lot of experience of teaching in college. I cannot imagine such situation again i am suffering from. I am M.COM M.C.A I.C.W.A(inter) . I have experience of various universities but this my experience i got from this university was really very shocking. Kindly help to revaluate these papers held in August 2008.

My self one of the students who took admission under periyar university salem (pride) session 2006-7 through chandigarh centre. I gave exams earlier in nov 2007 and got the result which was shocking i was declared fail in two of the subjects. i gathered courage and gave exams again through this university in august 2008 . Result came in january 25. i got it through the centre by enquiring . I was shocked again to see the same result . I did my paper well and was expecting more than 70% as i attempted full papers.
As i have got degrees of m.com m.c.a. and icwai (inter ) calcutta i never had such an experience as i am having now from this university. as i am in teaching and have the knowledge of the subjects . I was not expecting such type of harrasement i had from this university. Kindly help me to reevaluate the papers. i will be highly obliged.

But I have failed .It is request to reevalute papers.Because it cannot be possible, as I have attempted 100% paper. And I have an professional experience also . It can't say that i have written wrong.

i dont think that the people who evaluate the answers have a good knowledge.Though i have done my exams very well i got the result as fail.I think they are expecting answers as same as words that is present in the book.like what u say his the blue print.This is not highly acceptable.

My friend is a M.Phil Student in Periyar university, Salem. He joined in 2006 Batch. He have one arrear paper. But he couldnt get the reexam date, pervious semester's mark sheets, Dessertation & Project Results and proper communication. Still after 2 years, he couldnt get a single evidence from the university for the written examination. Very very assault answers and too late for the results, improper result publication and total irrelevancy is periyar university. Government should cancel this university. I can say this is the worst university in ASIA.

I wrote my MBA - Distance Education 3rd semester Feb/Mar, 2008 examination. I got only my main papers results and i didn't get my elective papers result. I have submitted my examinations attendance slips to the university, but there is no response. I have received my 4th semester results and i didn't receive the 3rd semesters elective papers result. I donot know what to do with this problem. My study centre person also not taking any steps and he is just passing the time. Now my positions is that i am unable to get the results of the 3rd semesters elective papers, due to this delay of degree certificate and unable to join in any concern or unable to continue my studies. Please, tell me how to solve this problem and how to view the distance education MBA Feb/Mar-2008 results.

Me working in Indian Navy and presently posted in Kerala. I & my wife took admission for PGDBM & MSC (Maths) respectively in academic year 2009 and told from study centre (Rewari, Haryana) that the exams will be held some where in the month of December - January but now in December they told us that there should not be any exam scheduled in this time and we have to wait till February or March. Please note that Periyar University of Distance Education has declated the result of the exmanisation held in Dec2010 but the result is incomplete. For few students they declared result of only 10 subjects out of 15 and for few only 8 subjects. Study Center is also not taking any responsibilty and saying that this is university's problem and nothing is in there hand. Study center named Chaitanya Degree College which is located in Kukatpally and Ameerpet and Dilshuk Nagar in Hyderabad has chared more then 30k/40K for course but not giving response.

This is a serious problem. Some action should be taken against such universities who play with students future.

I done my m.phil in management studies in perriyar institute for distance education pride in[protected] batch and i have passed my examination successfully. i submitted 3 copies of my m.phil thesis to perriyar institute for distance education pride for internal and external valuation i cleared part -1 and part -2 successfully the thesis named customer perception towards dairy products offering by the avin milk company a study under the guiedence of dr.harinath i approached so many times with study center PIMT code no 1397 and university too i came to know that procedural work from your side also has been completed only releasing of certificates are pending i spoke with Dr. gunasekharan director of pride and Dr. jayakumar who is a controller of exams prior to bringing this issue to your notice they assured me to release the certificates but unfortunately Dr jayakumar get hospitalized recently sir i have lost 2 ph.d admission notifications in 1 1/2 year due to the same cause of delay and final date for yogi vemana university also approching dated april 10 is the last date for application with out certificates not possible for further process of research and the coordinator when ever i approched him showcasing some reason ultimately getting poor response from him i brought this issue infront of controller of exams and director several times they promised to take some action still their words not seem to practically implemented by your and their subordinates i did my study with full dedication and commitment by spending enough time in data collection, sampel collection, and emperical analysis completed thesis has been farwarded through University Coordinator which also approved by the university panel members still why my certificates has not been released yet. if you delay more it cost me a lot why because after a great frustration i came to this conclusion wether you relase the certificates or not it wont be useful to me after due date for p.hd admission notification has been completed i enclosed all the details with this mail please repond quickly .

I done my m.phil in management studies in perriyar institute for distance education pride in[protected] batch and i have passed my examination successfully. i submitted 3 copies of my m.phil thesis to perriyar institute for distance education pride for internal and external valuation i cleared part -1 and part -2 successfully the thesis named customer perception towards dairy products offering by the avin milk company a study under the guiedence of dr.harinath i approached so many times with study center PIMT code no 1397 and university too i came to know that procedural work from your side also has been completed only releasing of certificates are pending i spoke with Dr. gunasekharan director of pride and Dr. jayakumar who is a controller of exams prior to bringing this issue to your notice they assured me to release the certificates but unfortunately Dr jayakumar get hospitalized recently sir i have lost 2 ph.d admission notifications in 1 1/2 year due to the same cause of delay and final date for yogi vemana university also approching dated april 10 is the last date for application with out certificates not possible for further process of research and the coordinator when ever i approched him showcasing some reason ultimately getting poor response from him i brought this issue infront of controller of exams and director several times they promised to take some action still their words not seem to practically implemented by your and their subordinates i did my study with full dedication and commitment by spending enough time in data collection, sampel collection, and emperical analysis completed thesis has been farwarded through University Coordinator which also approved by the university panel members still why my certificates has not been released yet. if you delay more it cost me a lot why because after a great frustration i came to this conclusion wether you relase the certificates or not it wont be useful to me after due date for p.hd admission notification has been completed i enclosed all the details with this mail please repond quickly .

We are very happy that PRIDE has announced the examination results with in time which were held in the month of December-2007.But at the same time we felt very sorry after seeing the examination results.

I would like to bring to your kind notice that there are many failures, even though some of the students are upto the mark in subject and in writing the examinations in perfect.They are teaching the same subject since long time and also I donot have any hesitation to say that they cannot fail in writing the examinations in perfect at any cost. At the same I am not commenting that the mistake is from your side only. But there are unexpected results in many cases.

This attitude is now a days seen in many of the universities.
One is because they have sizeably increased the Examination fees and next M.Phil. is no more available im correspondence.

The best thing is to file a complaint under the newly enacted "RTI"
Right to Information Act.
Under this the University is bound to show you your answer sheets and the marks given for each answer. You can check if your answers are right and if so have they given the marks designated for those questions.

There was a similar problem with the marking o[censored]PSC EXAMS. Recently, Students filed complaint under this act and got reliefs.

I too agree. But I have done B.Com(CA) through a college. In many subjects, they have given me less marks, with eventually pulled me to 9th position in the university.

I had admited M.phil in periyar university through distance education and written examination well and eagerly waiting for results (expected more than 80% of marks). on 25th Jan 2008, they have published results in the net, i was very shocked after seeing the result, it seems that the person who checked the answer sheet have not sufficient knowledge of subject, and the result is he failed me in a paper (Not only me, but also the people who have written exam well). Student who is teaching that subject for last 7-8 year thay also failed. it is very surprising things first time in india you have never seen or hear this types of things. and to hidden this they also mentioned in the result "no re-revaluation". This is also first time in INDIAN university history I really felt bad. i think that we are cheated. University aim is only to earn money, not to educate the peoples. This is the best way because hereafter no Mphil through distance education. I studied in 3 different universities, i had never seen this kind of non-sense. This is the bad experience of all the student this university management is playing with peoples faith, They creating bad name to the periyar university,

im doing my BCA (II yr) thru distance eduation in pride. usually the exams are conducted in may month by other universities. But in pride, it takes about july to august... students like us who want to join PG regular, suffered a lot due to this. B'coz we dont have the final year mark statement to join the regular colleges... especially (BBA & BCA students) and so that we are forced to wait for a year...

so u pls take necessary steps to lessen the burden o[censored]s. it is highly useful to us when the final year exams are conducted in may and the result to be got in july/august.

You are true. I was also one among the candidates who was failed, even after attempting all the questions correctly. I was then told by the Director Distance Edu. to write a letter in the name of Director and Controller of Periyar University and as per the Director Dist. Edu., a meeting was going to be held for the same purpose and the papers were going to be re-evaluated before the members in the meeting. But it was irony to hear from the same office after waiting for three to four months that the said candidates have to re-appear in the examination for no fault of there's. I even wrote to the Vice Chancellor of the university, but he too was reluctant to do any thing in favour of the candidates. I don't agree to you that blind people have checked the answer papers. The paper checkers are there own 'so called professors' but unfortunately they are not worth to be the lecturers of even 10+2 standard, not talking of the university. The standard of education and lecturers of the university can be easily understood by the study material provided by the university. Even after copying the same material from the books of the other authors, there are a lot of conceptual mistakes, which shows the literacy rate of the teaching staff of the university.

I have been undergone my M.Sc. chemistry through one study centre. In this study centre they are getting more amount as fees and other purpose. When we asked regarding the amount that we had paid they are not responding properly in addition to that they are threatining us.

WE WANT TO KNOW THE EXAMINATION TIME TABLE OF JULY 2009.

I want to know the examination time table of B com(Distance education) 2009

One of the wrost universit ever we have seen. They are not at evaluating any exam papers. It seem who do not know the subject only evaluates the paper. I do not knoe what UGC is doing? This university should not be allowed to conduct Distance education courses.

It has been brought to the notice that the valuation was done improper and it seems that the marks are being given at random. there is a liberal valuation in some papers like M-1, EDC etc. In some papers proper evaluation was not done. Overall, it seems that there is no proper evaluation and the merit students have lost their percentage of marks. we request the management to see that the reputation of the university should not be lost and do not play with the students future.

WHEN WILL I GET THE CONVOCATION FOR MY M.PHIL DEGREE FOR THE COURSE DONE IN THE YEAR[protected] ?

Yes, even i am also agree with this statement, even my MBA 1st sem result is pending for last 02 years, No Body university is playing with students carriers in such manner. This one one of my bad experiance with this university.I adviced to all my frds not to go this university so that they are avoid to bothering with this type of non-sense created by the university with each n every students as i believe the same .
