I am from Mumbai. I purchased a Philips DVP 3046 DVD Player around a year back, used it for around 1-2 hours on weekends and kept it in dust free environment and always covered it with cloth after the unit cooled down. Now the unit won't play any DVD discs. It plays VCD's and MP3 discs after some delay. It displays "No Disc" whenever a DVD is inserted. This is not my first bad experience with Philips. My earlier VCD/MP3 player was also from Philips and that too stopped working after exactly a year after the warranty expired. I think I did a very big mistake by opting for a reputed brand like PHILIPS. I called the Philips technician and he said that the cost of fixing the DVD player is around Rs.[protected]. I can easily buy a local brand (but a reliable one) DVD player with that amount. I have seen local DVD players work trouble free for years. I think PHILIPS has programmed it products to work only in the warranty period. I have now stacked my PHILIPS DVD player on top of my earlier PHILIPS VCD/MP3 player in my store room. This is my last association with Philips. I WILL NEVER BUY OR RECOMMEND ANY PRODUCT FROM PHILIPS.

Iam also bought the PHilips DVP 3046, same problem NO disc it shows, If it plays the DVD then after some time it stops automaticaly and sometimes picture get frezeed.

I went to Philips Service centre they said it takes Rs.1650/- to replace some Board inside.

I really unfair about this product, just bought last year march (2007) and used for 6months weekely 2-3 hours to play some MP3/ Movie.
after that i went to abroad and coming back its not playing, if it plays the same problem above mentioned happens.

Really worst Product .

philips vcd mp 3 player — regarding worst service

Sir,
I have purchased philips vcd mp 3 CD mini hi-fi system with MODEL NO.FW V320 ON 200702 and this set is not at all functioning well right from the date of its purchase. The problem is that the disk does not
rotate and the taperecorder does not work. Once I took the set to the local service station of philips and
after working properly for a few days, the said problems exist since then. Although I paid AMC of Rs.1000/-
for two years, the service is not at all godd and the set purchased for Rs.18000/- has been kept idle
since it is highly difficult for me to take the set to the service station every time when the vcd disk does
not rotate. They do not send the experienced technician to locate the exact error in the system. I got
frustrated like anything. I, therefore, request you to kindly advise me the solution.
I am Kannan from Chennai. I am also facing the same problem "NO DISK" in display on the model PHILIPS DVP 3046 DVD PLAYER. Whenever i insert a CD/DVD it loads for a few minute and simply returns "NO DISK". I am not even getting any display also. I bought this on last year 2007. A very worst product.

Philipd DVD player — Shows No disc and no CD or DVD played

Even after changing the head and also cleaned by Philips Clean DVD this is not o[censored]se. THis is around 2 yrs. old now.

lenonardo DVD Player — Quality of Products are not very good

Dear Sirs,
This is to inform you that i have order a Combo DVD Player of Rs 3, 499/- the order no. is[protected], which have received thr courier on dated 10/08/2009, and i have paid full amout in cash.
But after uncover the Box and use it i am not very much satified with the Quality of the Proucts i.s DVD Palyer and Wireless Head Phone.
For which i have made a complaint on call center the ref no. is 1877687 on dated 20/08/2009,
You are therefore reqested to please arrange to back it to you and refund my money as soon as Possible.

    Dear Sir i mr. jadhav send my philips DVD System to your service center at rounak services , alkapuri, vadopdara, gujarat on[protected] for reparing since that date till today i dont got my system when ever i call them and ask there is only one answer one part is not available as we got we tell yu so how can i believe that up to 27 days they can got a part i m tired sir please help me and bring solution. my Syetem FW-D390/12 is in charge of center for reparing. my workorder no. is 111931 and customer no. is 31290.

      My complaint id is L111
      I have purchased philips MMS 430 audio system from authorized dealer on oct 2007 and on 19 th dec it has got dead and I taken to authorized philips service centre at Marthahally, Bangalore, Karnataka on 22/12/2007. After checking they have told board has to be replaced and it will take 10 days. I agreed and after 10 ten days when I approach them I got the replay not yet replaced 2 days is required again, I agreed that but still today (14/12/2007) not yet repaired. They keep saying will take time.
      What a pity PHILIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        I own a LCD TV 32" purchased from Philips. Last month there were certain problems in the TV. I called up the local service Centre (Mr. Jayesh), who kept giving promises that he shall pick up the TV from my residence and get it repaired. He did not come to pick up TV for 7-8 days. Subsequently, I mailed to Philips Company, who kept giving promises but again for 10 more days no body bothered to service my request. Finally, they came home to pick up TV after 20 days.
        Now, from the day they have picked up the TV, i have been following up with them, but neither are they servicing my TV nor giving quotes for the cost. I have been constantly sending mails to company, CEO Mr. K Ramachandran and calling up Mr. Jayesh, but am not getting any favourable response.
        Require your help to get my TV repaired.

        I got LCD TV 32" Philips from my organisation as a gift . From last six months no body comging for installation I called up the local service Centre several times, who kept giving promises he will send some body. He did not come to my home for Installation. Subsequently, I mailed to Philips Company, who kept giving promises but again no body bothered to service my request. I have been following up with them, but neither are they servicing.I have been constantly sending mails to company, CEO Mr. K Ramachandran and calling up Mr. Jayesh, but am not getting any favourable response.
        Require your help to installation the TV.
        dear sir...i have been waiting for the repair of my philips lcd tv 32.kept under service centre muvattupuzha(ernakulam) since january ...during its warrantyperiod...many times i called the toll free...only is will cleare it within24hours...now i beeeen followup them...not yet servicing...now i may think is it lost via your servicing mafia party at kerala(muvattupuzha)...what should i do for my favouriote philips tv...kindly give me a replay for the above

        I PURCHASED 26 INCH LCD PHILIPS TV THREE YEARS AGO .IT IS SLOW IN BOOTING . THIS IS A SIMPLE PROBLEM . BUT THEY ARE ASKING ME TO EXCHANGE THE TV.
        THERE IS NO SERVICE FACILITY AVAILABLE . SINCE THEY CANNOT ASK YOU EXCHANGE THEY ARE, NOT COMING TO PICK UP. PHLILIP HAS LOST ITS REPUTATION. I USED TO BUY PHILIPS PRODUCTS RADIO, DVD.AMP .I THINK WE MUST FILE IN CUMSUMER COURT . EVERY THREE YEARS WE CANNOT EXCHANGE THE TV.
        Dear Sir, I purchased a 43"full H D LED T V from your authorized dealer M/S, Simar Enterprises, Malviya nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan, 4 days back with full payment.I was assured that it will be installed with priority basis within 48 hours but till date it has not been installed .I have made many calls to your customer care but the result is nil . It is shameful for such a renowned company as PHILIPS .I request you to look into my grievance and direct your technician to install my TV immediately .Thanking you, regards, Dipali Gupta

          we had given rl117 free power radio to philips authorised service centre for repair. ( raunak services, vishwas colony vadodara).
          We had personally carried this radio to repair the charging handle. We were informed that replacement charges for the handle will be inr 50. service charges will be extra.
          On repair we find that we have been charged inr 50 for the handle and inr 46 for service charge and no bill has been given to us even when insisted. Is this how phillips operates? this is a clear clase of looting? service charge for what? why no bill? I have written to the company many times but they have not bothered to respond to my request. i'm also approaching the consumer redressal forum for this matter. I also request your intervention. How can a reputed company not issue a receipt?

          I entirely agree.

          I have trying long time to get email addresses of philips officials who can listen to me. From the web site I found a email address and I wrote them as under

          I had purchased a Philips Audio System about one and half year back. I lodged a complaint that one of the speakers in the Philips Audio System was not working with your Authorised Philips Service Centre : Super A. Services, Shop No. 5 , Legend Aparment, Behind Vakola, mumbai 4000055. Complaint Number 36687 dated August 29, 2007. A representative came to my home on August 30, 2007. He took the equipment to service centre and said that he will gi ve the estimate. He rang up after a week or so and said that it would cost about Rs. 3000. I agreed to pay and asked him how long it will take. He said about a week.

          Since then my wife and I have been regularly ringing up the service centre regularly at least once every week. There is one innovotive excuse after other and promise the deliver the equipment within next two days. However, it never happened.

          Last week, the service centre said that now they would put a more costly replacement part and the cost would be Rs. 4700.

          Though personally, I have but abandoned the audio system as I feel that rather than throwing good money after bad, I should buy a new system of a better brand. But I thought that I would at least let someone know in PHILIPS.

          You know the reason why? As child I was brought up with a Philips Radio always around and thought Philips was the best brand. Anyway, I was wrong."

          There is no way in which you can get into Fortress Philips.

          No addresses, No email addresses. Nothing. You have bought something it is a lemon. It is your fate.
          I bought a TV (CTV-21PT4443) on dt[protected].I am facing prolem in every three months.they are some major & minor problems.So if the product quality will be like this, who will go to buy PHILIPS tv.This things are decreasing the image of PHILIPS...

          this is to inform all that the product is not bad but the people working in sales are horrible. as they do not respond to any customer complaints and half the time there is nobody to pick up ur phone. these people who are working in sales right from the top are spoiling the brand name of Philips. it is a shame.

            I purchased Philips DVD Home Theatre I purchased Philips DVD Home Theatre
            HTS-3105/98 in Feb,2007. Unfortunately, I am having extremely bad
            experience regarding this product. Initially, it was not able to detect
            DVDs. The technician from HI-Tech Services, Noida detected that the lens
            was faulty. Hi-Tech Services assured me that the lens is going to be
            replaced within one week. However it took around more than two months to
            fix the problem. Now there is another problem, it is not able to detect
            VCDs. And they are again saying that the lens needs to be replaced. Now I
            dont know how much time they are going to take this time. But I am
            extremely sorry to say that my experience with Philips is extremely bad so
            far and frustrating. I am also planning to write about this experience on
            several blogs. Please look into the matter to look into the matter
            to resolve this issue.

            VERY TRUE I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM
            I purchased Philips HTS-3105 DVD Home Theatre system in the occassion of gudipadwa on 2007 Unfortunately, I am having very bad experience of this product. from the begining to till date, it is not able to detect DVDs. it seems the lens of this dvd player are faulty.
            Philips is like a " NAAM BADE AUR DARSHAN KHOTE"

            I am also suffering from the same problem [ Fauly lens]
            I have also started facing "NO DISC" error for DVD's. VCD works fine but it is unable to detect DVD

            Poor customer care service and pathetic installation service

            Had bought Philips tv from Snapdeal on 3 march till 11 march i am continuously requesting philips customer care regarding installation but no response expect making me irritating just for installtion

              I had purchased Philips MCD 109/98 product last year. In september 07 its stopped working. Engineer from Sky Serives[protected]/[protected] had taken the player for repairing and still I havn't received the product. Please let me know why should I not go to consumer court for this pathetic service, Ignorance. You can contact me on 0 [protected] for details. I hope somebody will look into it and anticipating promp responce for my problem.

                I am an engineer in HAL, Nashik Division. I purchased a Philips DVd player 3046 in Nov,2006 from Mayur Enterprises, Ojhar, Nashik. Just after 5 months problems started in the player. The reading/loading of CDs, DVDs became slower gradually. First it stopped reading DVDs, although it was reading the VCDs & MP3 CDs, but with a long delay. During this it completed 6 months life. When i complained to my dealer he said that the warranty period was over and i can't get the free service. After 1-2 months the player was totally unable to read any CDs. Now the Dealer says Company/service centre will charge for the repairing which may go from Rs.1000 to Rs.2000. What i will do now, i am frustrated. I was using it hardly 8-10 hours a week and used to keep in dust free environ. If within a year I have to spend thousands on a reputed brand piece like philips, then why to purchase branded. I have seen local pieces giving excellent results at least for more than a year with operating time of 5-6 hours a day. I also own a Philips 3 VCD/MP3 changer,V-39, 1200W system since 7 years. It's good, lens replacement came after 4 years & it was on for 5-6 hours daily. My father had a Philips TV and now a DVD player also. So i had a great faith on Philips, but all lost after this 3046 DVD model. Now I started thinking that why didn't i go for LG or Samsung. I almost determined myself that not to purchase (or suggest anybody) anything from Philips if my set is not given free service.

                I dont know if this matter will go to the right hand/person or authority, let hope for the justice & the company will do the needful.

                I agree.. its been 6 months after I purchased the said player that I started getting DVD reading problems.. now the dvd reading is very slow and sometimes does not even work.. but works fine in the other Philips DVP2160(2yrs old) or somethin. as far as divx is concerned, it works well. Even clean(fresh after burn) dvds have problems so the problem is with the lens and the Philips company issuing such a poor player.. blame them!!

                go purchase a BIG player and not a slim factor one such as this one from philips.
                I am also having the same DVD. The complaint was similar. The authorised service centre estimated replacement of lens at Rs.1300 for which we can easily get unbranded DVD which will work for nearly two years without problem. I think the model DVP3046 is failure model. Had it been in USA they would have given replacement.
                I agree that philips products should never be purchased.Eleven months after purchasing the DVP 3046, it stopped working and the lens had to be changed. This is in spite of my taking the utmost care of the set like covering it to prevent dust getting in. A year later I found it taking 4 to 5 minutes just to load a DVD, though it would read Divx disks without any problem. Years ago I had purchased a Philips CD player which gave trouble and had to be serviced every year. It is a shame that the company that invented the CD player turns out such crap. Better to go in for Samsung or LG equipment.
                Same problem with my Philips DVD player 3046.

                Given problem of NO DISC since purchase.

                Even I have given this for repiar during warranty, the problem of NO disc is not resolved.

                I am also frusted with PHILIPS now.

                I think Philips is not careing the customers.

                If thsi model is having the problem, philips should have replaced me with other better model, when I loged the complaine during warranty.

                Philips DVD Player — repair of the DVD player within warranty period

                I had purchased a Philips DVD player in January,2009 in Pune. In september it stopped working suddenly. I called up the customer service. They sent a technician. He came and took the player saying that he would fix it and bring it back in 2 days. Its been 15 days now and the the player is still with the Phillips guys.I have been calling them up for teh last one week but not getting any confirmation as to when would it be delivered back. They always say that they would call me back but never do so. Having bought Phillips DVD player is turning out to be a nightmare. Please help me on this.

                  This is prakash from bangalore, last 15 days i had a problem with my dvd mini hifi sytem, so i took it to the nearest philips service station to rectify the problem, as he examinied and the person in charge said that it could be the problem with some lense (opd -some component)and he promised me, that it will be done with in 3 days, after i go on the third day, he said that he didn't get the component which will be done by the next week, so i was little pissed off by this and i said him clearly that i cant keep coming oftenly for this, and then he said that they didn't get the component, but he promised me to give it after 2 days, but when i went today the condition is pathetic, its untouched , and the engineer response is so worst , he's not even bothered to explain what is wrong, and how it can be sorted, but the person in charge has promised me that he will be giving it to me by today, am totally very unhappy by the service center people, its really poor service i have ever seen ,,

                  i am purchase dvd homethetare with wooofer and 5 spk sound at work shop on 13/072008 after one months my homethetare not clear sound i will complain to your service station at baroda. your service man come to my home and recived woofer. after one week l called your service station they told me that your woofer is ok you can come service station and recived your woofer i am recived woofer and check my system but sound not clear i again called to service station they have told me that our srvice man come your home.their man told me that you will come with 5spk our service station and we will complete your 5 speakers.again after called them at[protected] they told me you will come dvd and woofer .that i want to know how long prosesure to your service station. i do not satisfied with your service and presentation.my customer no-[protected] and workorder no-[protected]
                  please i will new all system i can not accept my old system

                    I purchased the Hand blender in March 2006; Within three months the press switch got stuck; It was referrred to the Dealer who got rectified it free; Again aftet TWO months I got it repared thro Philips Authorised Service Centre---Marina Electronics, Chennai-5; They charged me Rs 50 /-; It worked for three more months; Again it was serviced by the same Marina Electronics; I paid Rs 70 /- this time ; Now after three months the same problem has come; I think either the design of the press switch is wrong or the quality of the switch or the servicing is poor ; Who will take care of this ?
