Dear Sir/Madam,

I, Rahul Kothari am a user of Philips Make water purifier for the past 2 years. I have a family comprising of my wife and 2 year old daughter.
The said water prifier is not functioning since past 15 days. As i raised a request with the Customer Support , the call was duly recorded ( SR NO 203064 ) . I recd a message that the Technician will visit my home on 16 apr 2010.

On 16 th morning, i recd a call from the Technician ( from Dhule ) mentioning that he has already visited Nandurbar the previous day and because he has no other calls assigned , we will take a few days more to come here. I tried to perusade him to attend the call soon as my family is facing a lot of problem for Clean Drinking Water. He was not agreeing. As i further tried to reason with him, he, all of a sudden chaged Track saying " filter change karna padega, aapko chagres dena padega etc etc ". I quietly put down the phone saying why he is acting so unreasonable.

Since then, on twice a daily basis, we have been emailing/chatting/calling executives from Philips Customer Support to arrange for the necessary call. During our conversation with the exec, we came to know that the Distributor at dhule is giving a lot of Mis information to the Philips comany .

Yesterday, the company confirmed that the Tech will come today b4 1 pm. Till now no one has visited our place.

My family is facing a lot of trouble to get clean drinking water. It is terrible heat in nandurbar making the things worst. The family is under a lot of stress and harrasment due to this kind of Service. Plz Help !!

Philips - Water Purifier — Complaint not sortout.

I have purchased Philips Water purifier 2 & 1/2 year back. Recently the leakage problem arise in the purifier for which I lodged complain through customer care and the relevent SR no. are - 503364 ; 516554 ; and 522318.
But the problem is still there and after so called repair the other
problem also started like not working of indicator.
And as per service man the said problem can't be repaired while he has changed one part of it in the name of solving the problem.
I could not understand, such small problem is not getting solved.
Should I approach local repair man as Philips co. can't repair their own product ?
Kindly guide.

    We are using philips water purifier from last one year. few months ago we water was not coming from nozzle of machine. This problem was solved by a philips techanician. But this was the temperory solution. Within 1 week later we again started facing same problem and it is still persisting. Please solve this issue as soon as possible.

    My Philips water purifier stopped functioning overnight. There was no led light. I checked the top and found that the fuse was blown. I replaced the fuse but still it blows off. what could be the reason?

      I had booked a Philips DVD Player with speaker (Product Code H-129) on 5.3.2010 vide order No.HB-6350. While on booking the above said product the terms and conditions for delivery of the above said goods was 21 days from the date of booking.

      It is wroth to mention here that more than 21 days had been passed since the date of booking the Philips DVD Playerwith speaker (Product Code H-129) had not been devliered till date.

      After on being making a contact with your concerned representative over phone time and again falls promise of delivery of the good had been made .

      I here by put you to notice to comply the terms and conditins of the booking of the Philips DVD Playerwith speaker (Product Code H-129), failing which I will constrained to ventilate my grievance in appropriate forum within the frame work of law.

        Since my DVD player was not working, I lodged a service requisition on the website of Philips. The technician visited my home and took away my music system two months' back, with the promise to return the same duly repaired within 2 days. He told me that the lens is not working and the part has to be changed. He also informed that the cost of repairs would be Rs.1500/-.

        For two months despite constant followup I could not get my DVD player repaired. The service station kept on telling me that the part is not available and the same wouldbe procured soon. The approx. expenditure is Rs.2000/-.

        Now, after two moths, the service station has sent me an e-mail informing me that the part would cost Rs.4000/- and that they would carry out the repairs on receiving my confirmation.

        It is very much disgusting to note that a company with a trusted name of Philips has been betraying its old customers.

        even i have this problem with same model, it seems to be philips has sold defective product to customer for rs. 25000. its should eb the responsibility of philips to call back the systems and relace the defective parts free of cost. already we spent huge money on this product, spending further cost on lense is not an intelligent decision while you get new DVD plyer in the market for that cost which is far better than this player.

        i am very sure lense problem is manufacturing defect from philips and needs to be replaced by them without charging further.

          Reliance Digital Store, Bansdroni, kolkata is in reality a mouse trap, once you enter this store only you can meet a gang of salespersons who are ever ready to mislead the the customer. Before even you see the staff you are buying, you will be forced to pay for it and come what may, you will forced by this gang to accept it whether it works satisfactorily or not.
          Refund is just not possible.
          Totally disgusted, promised nrver to enter is store ever again.
          This is totally against the Consumer's rights protection act.
          I do have the newspaper clips on this subject with me.

            I had taken water purifier from Philips last year.3-4 days berfore i called up philips customer care.they had given the no of Dibyendu mukherjee(technician,kolkata)--[protected].He being the same person whom i came across 5 months before. At that time and this time this person cheated me and is not well behaved.last time he charged me 250 and promised will provide the bill for the same.As i am a service holder i dont have much time to track these small issues.When this person visited my home again i asked him the last bill he answered me that previous service center has been closed and could not produce the same withn arrogant attitude and replied if you required that bill then i should have informed him with repeatitive reminders.

            Though i forgot that incident but this time again same thing occurred he charged me 260/- and promised me that will come and provide the bill.When i again called this person he answered arrogantly that i dont have much time as and when he will get time will come and give.I have been harrassed by this person totally.


            Sir,I have decided this time that i have been befooled by philips and decided not to buy anything of philips in future.

              I have purchased a Philips DVD mini hi-fi system (model No FWD 185) from Great Eastern Trading Co. at 20, Old Court House St. Kol-700001 on 11.07.2009. Recently, few days ago, while playing a DVD a burnt smell came out from the system. I quickly off the power connection. But after this the said system does not functioning.

                Philips LCD — sevice centre is not responding

                i have purchased lcd last year but now it has problem since 3 months i have launched complained in service centre but they are not responding and cancel my complain.my lcd lost screen automatically and become dull picture. off automatically.really to purchase this company product is very big mistake for me.

                PHILIPS LCD — LCD not working and long due no response

                My complaint number is [protected] for a philips LCD 32" . I have been calling the service centre almost daily but there is no proper response available . They are not even able to detect the cause of the problem. I spoke to their Manager, Avneesh as well and he promised me to call back with a solution but I never received a call. Please can one look into the matter , My LCD is only 2 yrs old.

                Is this the way Philips treats their customers?

                  Dear sir,

                  We had a complaint about our philips TV and we informed to your service center at Cochin. They sent a technician at Thursday and he told that he had to change something and he will come by Friday or Saturday. Even after sunday he either came or responded well. When my father called him, he told that he is not responsible for the TV or parts and the philips service center is responsible, then why he came and took away some parts of the TV?

                      Hi,

                      On 3rd of march 10 I Have lodged my complaint regarding my DVD Player which is under warranty. But till now I am getting only daily assurance from Philips Customer Care and Philips Service Centre.

                      Everyday since 3rd march 10 I am calling them and service center too and the common reply is they will replace my system today. But as always that today has not come. The ever pathetic customer care I've experience with Philips, India.

                      i have philips 7.1 DVD player i love this player because it is beautiful model and amazing sound with excellent pixcture quality. i never allow to tuch another person it is full of my control and i am the responsible for this player. i never long run this player every moment i see the player but now the player is automatically shut down and the power light is minglled when i turn on the player it is automatically do turn off so i am really upset. i am seeing movie only weekend once i have another player i use every day. i would like to service my DVD Player and i also gave to philips service centre who did not do proper service. please tell me how i can get my DVD player as a fresh. i am ready to service but the servicer could not find what is the problem on my player

                        I have given the Home Theater DVD system (HTS4750/98) for repair to Philips Authorized Service Center, The problem that I was facing was "CD/DVD" use to get stuck in the panel. When I gave them for the problem for the first time, they told me that they have rectified the same.
                        With in one weeks time, we started facing the same problem, but this time it was on & off and not every time. We observed the system for quite some time before approaching the Philips Authorized Service Center for the second time. Only on confirmation of that problem, we gave the system for the second time, they advised me to change some component and I paid for the same.
                        With in very short time of the second time repair, I faced the same problem and additional problems as well i.e. CD/DVD getting stuck, Tray Eject problem, Source not working. I gave back the same for further repair with very high dissatisfaction on 26/01/2010. Today is 06/03/2010. I must have called them many many times during this period (my cell phone bills are the proof to say how many times I have called them) - all that I get the response from the other side (a lady speaks) is that "we will let you know in couple of day time &/or our service engineer shall contact you" None of them have called me to let me know what the problem is. Today, I again called the Philips Authorized Center. Today they inform me that they are yet to hear from the Company i.e. Philips India Limited. They further told me today that I might have to shell down Rs. 3000/- to Rs. 4000/- for the repair. This is simply disgusting.

                        WHO FROM PHILIPS INDIA IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS CUSTOMER AGONY AND HARASSMENT.

                        I am having same system (HTS4750/98). i am also facing same problem. the phillips people are not at all focussing on customer satisfaction. The woofer of my HTS4750/98 is again not satisfactorly performing. Everytime i load any disk...it stucks and i feel shame in front of my friends..is there anyone from phillips who reads this???does C-SAT means any thing for phillips? are customers not to be taken care off??any authority person...plz contact me on [protected]@yahoo.com.                         I gave my woofer in authorised philips service centre. After 2 months they told me the component is not available. And woofer can not be repaired. Now my home theater is dead.If anybody wants to give life by selling your woofer, please call me on [protected].

                          i am vaibhav jain and i am complaned on the philips call center on one and half month ago but there is no response from there side, they were giving such a bad service and no call back from their side only i calling to him.
                          i just want to replace my product with the new model not the same model ,
                          more importantly i am just using 2 month that product and it will create problem

                            i had purchased an DVD home theater from Croma at mulund just before the expiry of the warranty period my DVD stopped functioning . And the engineer from philips came and changed the part but after that the DVD was not performing as it was previously i called them many a times and after 3 to 4 months again my DVD stopped working. Now after pursuing the company and calling daily to some MR. Sunil and MR. Deependar thapa of Philips i am told to pay Rs:- 1400.00 to get the product working again . My question is that if i pay the amount and again after a month of two months if it gets faulty who will be responsible and should i shell out Rs:- 1400.00 every two months. For this i am contacting philips from the past 15 to 20 days but all that i am getting is promises that the concerned people will call you back before noon and they never call.What can be done please help me in this case. What is the use in trusting a MNC brand like Philips when the same product is available cheap on roadside.

                              I bought a philips dvd player in the month of sep09 where i was informed that it plays mp4 formats also.but it didnt so i took it to the philips service center in adyar and they had it for 1 week . they said that it was taken to the philips central service center to correct the issue so i took it home but it didnt read mp4 and i didnt have time to goback there . i took it there after a month and they had it again for a week and gave it back tome. adyar center told me that they dont have any mp4 files to check it and so i took it home but again it didnt play. it was a late on saturday so iwas not able to take it immediately and i had to take it to them again after some days only.And after couple of months, they told me that it plays mpeg4 cds directly but will not play any mp4 files which are in usb thumb drive. i bought this dvd player just to play mp4 files but it didnt and since they told me after couple of months i was not able to return it back . if they would have told me immediately i would have returned it and got another one.
                              so bad service.i feel i lost the dvd's price itself..

                                Dear Sales Manager,

                                On 26th January 2010, I approached Bajaj representative Mr. Abhijit, stationed at Techno City (Great Eastern), of 15B, Sarat Bose Road, Kolkata- 20, for financing a 32 inch Philips LCD TV, model NO: 32PFL5402, valued at Rs. 31000 (Thirty One Thousand Only), under your Zero Interest 12/2 (12 EMI, out of which 2 are Down Payments) finance scheme. Accordingly the form was filled up & documents handed over.

                                On 27th I again met Mr. Abhijit at the showroom, when he told me that the same will be sent for verification. On the same night we got an SMS on the Cell NO: [protected], that the Proposal / Request NO: SF604026, has been approved.

                                Today on the 28th when I again went there, for the payment & delivery, I was told by Mr. Abhijit that it was approved under your Zero Interest 12/4 (12 EMI, out of which 4 are Down Payments) finance scheme. Although this was quiet contradictory to my proposal / application, I got no feedback / clarification regarding the same.
                                Ironically as a reward to my three days visit & patient wait, I got a very arrogant answer from your representative, like : “I cannot explain you the reason why the scheme got changed”, “Take it or leave it, maximum I will loose a customer”.

                                From some reliable sources, I have come to know that the proposal has originally been logged by him under 12/4 scheme, for Rs. 60,000.

                                But if I accept such finance proposal, It will put my plantings haywire. On the other hand such act on the part of your personnel will not simply deprive you & Bajaj Finance of a customer, but also tarnish your images.

                                It will be highly appreciated, if you can please look into the matter & revert to me.

                                  I purchased a PHILIPS JUICER in January '10 from the dealer LOTUS ELECTRONICS, sneh nagar INDORE . But on the first run of the machine itself the juice started leaking down from the jar of the machine and got into the rotator of the machine. on complaining about the same to the lotus electronics Indore on the same day , their attitude was indifferent and also they refused to get the machine repaired , neither the dealer became ready for replacing the same, but even after reminding for last so many days the dealer has not responded and the product is still not in use. they are neither ready to change the product nor do they give any information on the process. At times they even disconnected the phone in the middle. Also the juice extraction is not proper by the machine as it leaves a lot of roughage behind with important ingredients in it,filtering of the contents is also not proper as juice contains straws of the fruits . Quality of the Philips juicer is not satisfactory.

                                    I sent a device for repairing under warranty period of 1 Year.
                                    Warranty Period not written on Warranty Card.
                                    You have to deduce it from their web site.

                                    Plus they need a Valid Bill (despite an ORIGINAL WARRANTY CARD issued by TATA's CROMA Store - M/s. Infiniti Retail Ltd.). WHY? Nobody to explain.
                                    I tried[protected]Philips National Call Centre) to check as to why a valid bill is still needed when you have a valid original warranty card - they did not have any information as to why a bill is required by service centre! Somebody was to call me back yesterday to answer the same - Nobody did till now when I am writing this at 1532 hours on 28-JAN-2010!
                                    My equipment was to be repaired today. They have given up. They will not be able to do it. Some senior GOD-SEND man will come & do it. By which time, utility of this product will be lost on me. I will miss all my sessions to record all voice. I am to travel outside my city to attend this seminar (without the device now).
                                    What is the fun in buying a branded product?
                                    One could buy 2 or more such products (may be, chinese) with the same amount of money!

                                      Philips MCD196/98

                                      I experienced a problem with my music system (MCD 196/98). When try to play a CD the system gives message "No disc". I took it to Philips authorised service centre in Kotrudh Pune. I was told that the cost of repairs is Rs. 3000/-. I was told that the mpeg card for the system has failed and that it did cost that much.

                                      I am very much surprised at the cost of repairs as the cost of repairs is almost same as the original...

                                      I have Sony Home theatre DZ 370. I saw the features of Philips hometheatre HTS 3571. It seemed that there are few good features than sony. I wanted to buy. Before buying I have deliberated a lot as philips service is very bad. Still on 12/12/2009 I have purchased the same. As expected their service is worst. Though the retailer informed Philips about the purchase, till date nobody from philips visited for installing the same. Therefore, I had to instal it. I have a DVD “Bourne Supremacy” which was purchased in Landmark at Chennai plays in sony. But it is not playing in the Philips Home theatre now I have purchased. I have purchased two more DVDs “Hotel Rwanda” and “Jackal”. Hotel Rwanda plays in Philips but Jackal is not playing. However, both the DVDs play in Sony. Why it is so. Even the DVDs purchased in Chennai do not work Why they sell such a system? What is the remedy.

                                      I have a Phiips home theatre system.Model no MMS 5.500i.First i am go to Service centre, Kottayam.They have no responsibility against customer complaints.So i raised a complaint thru mail to Philips customer service, There is same response.Is this a Branded company or Local company??????????????.. Answer is local company.So my dear friends, please don't buy any philips appliances...
