It was a mistake not to read to reviews before going to the electronic store, the so called “Anandamela”, located at the Gariahat Morh. I became another victim of “Anandamela” after a recent purchase of a Phillips micro-system from this store. On Dec. 5, 2009, when I went to Anandamela and decided to buy Phillips MCD 396 micro system, Mr. Biswajit De, the person in charge of the music section, sold me a used and dirty system on display, with a promise that he would deliver me a brand new item in two days. I had no other option to purchase it as they recommended this to be one of the best and it was the only item available in that price range.

On the third day, when I called them up to check the status, they mentioned that the item is not in stock and will arrive in another three days. After four days, when I did not receive any correspondence from the store, I called them up again and this time they said that the “item was on the way to my home”. I came back home immediately to receive it. It took me a few hours to understand that they were lying once again. I called up and this time a lady from the store, Ms. Swati, picked up the phone and came with another excuse that the product is indeed not in their stock since Phillips had stopped delivering the item. However, she promised that it would be available once again and delivered within a week. I decided not to use the system that I purchased and kept it packed although I desperately require it for some recording purpose. Nowadays, it has become a daily routine for me to call up the store and listen to their lame excuses or a fake delivery promise which never materialize. I would therefore like to know if there is any way that I can handle this issue more efficiently. At the same time I would also advise people not to go to this store for any kind of purchase.

      The services from philips service center, pimpri chinchwad link road, pune is very pooooooooor. I have raise a request to replace the Hair straightener before Sep 2009, and they promise me to replace it within 2 weeks. But still it's NOT done after 4 months also. Whenever i call to service center, they tell me it will be done in 1 week, but again when i call next week, they are telling me the same thing again and again. I have made around 30 to 40 calls to service center for the Hair straightener ONLY which is very small thing.

        Our new philips mixer grinder got some problems and it doesn't work. we returned it to the dealer (Supreme Home appliances, Piravom, Ernakulam, Kerala) during the guarentee period. three weeks has passed and we came to know that the company failed to collect our mixer grinder from the dealer.we think it to be a great fault from the part of company and as a customer, I am really dissatisfied with the inconveniance caused by a reputed company like philips.

          I bought a Philips water purifier on 23-05-09, against JS no-JAsn[protected], reg. no.-123278. We are total 3 in my family. First filter changed on 08-10-09. Now it is down again. That means Rs 600/- in every 3 months. Think about it’s performance and circulate it to all. They told 3000 lit. but I got 1100 lit. (Rs.0.545/- per lit.).

          yes i m totally agree over the poor performance of philips water purifier. last year i bought it, just after 3-4month the quantity indicator stopped functioning, i neglected that issue. but since then the performance of purifier depreciated. so i m not at all satisfied with the product. i wasted my money.

            I have purchased a new Philips 5 watt CFL Lamp, from M/s Shakari Bhandar, Anushakti Nagar, Mumbai. Next day it did not work, I go for replacement of the lamp, but they denied to replace this lamp. They said that they will not provide any warranty on Philips CFL, while all other shops providing warranty on Philips CFL Lamps.
            So I suggest to all the customers "first confirm warranty before shopping at M/s Shakari Bhandar".

            I've had a similar experience with Philips Tornado 15W purchased from More recently. It worked fine for a week and now it's not working. Better to buy these bulbs from electric stores rather than from Marts as electric stores give 1 year warranty on the bulbs

              I am using your mobile connection for more than 5 year allways my billing is above 1000 rs and i think that am an important customer to you but the service you providing is very pathetic. my last bill is 1800 rs i pay that amount on the due date and again you cut my all outgoing calls today am now travelling and not able to contact others so am loosing so many bussiness only because of you mistake. For this you should take some necessary action

                The product was purchased from croma Belapur,Navi mumbai on 18.12.2008.It has one year warranty from philips and extended waranty from croma.
                The product stopped working on 16.12.2009. I contacted croma, Which advised me to contact philips customer service centre.Philps service centre did not agree to send technecian to repair it nor to note down the complain as it is a portable product.

                Kindly do the needful.

                  i booked philips radio alarm product no 1591 on 4th august 09 from gift360,order was taken on phone by miss imrana banu,and i was given order no 66955.
                  same day amount of Rs. 1,098/- was credited to their account kaviraj houseware from my citibank credit card,but still today i have not recd. any product,no help from citibank also and no reply from gift 360 also.
                  whats why making an online complaint.so that these fraud can be stopped.

                    I have purchased 32" LCD [samsung] + Philips HTS [HTS 3265] on 10.10.2009.......i was not sure for taking HTS from home town , but as i got confirmed assurance from there service persons that u will not get HTS below our Home tome price from any where....and i[censored] get such low quote just produce us the quotation we will give benefits of double the difference of it.........so i purchased it same day when i purchased LCD.
                    After one day that i came to know that philips HTS is at lower price than i had taken.....but due to some reasons i had to move to my native place and i returned after diwali.....I took the quote from another retail shop [i have proof for it] went to Home town, and saw the price , it was Rs.13990 and i got quotation for Rs.10990 for same day so i asked service person[Mr. Jaymeen Shah] over there , why is this big difference, i got reply that no i think prices are changed, then he told Mr. Vinod to refer the catlog and in front of me only he changed the tag and put it to Rs.11990 [so is this the way] and even still there was difference in quote i got on same day.....So as a customer i expect ur[home town's word to fulfill].
                    I do agree i brought quotation late but you should consider another scenario of price change on quotation i brought.[actually i inquired in that retail shop, the prices for that specific model of HTS has not changed since Diwali]..........

                    So i expect the commitment to be fulfilled.

                      I have purchase one LCD TV and Home Theatre Bar of PHILIPS make from Reliance Digital show room at Ambeince Mall Gurgaon on 18th Otuber 2009. The LCD TV shown to us which was on display is different to what has been given .The model given is 42 PFL 7403/98, in the bill also they have mentioned wrong model no ie 42 PFL 740 only . The cost of TV charged is Rs 65990/- where as the actual cost of this TV is around 60,000/-.as quoted by other dealers of gurgaon and also confirmed from the area manager of philips.These items were purchase on 18th, octuber,2009. No body from reliance has come for commisioning. No response, no body in reliance is picking up telephone. Kindly register my complaint

                        i bought a 29 inch PHILIPS colour TV [model no. 29PT6021] from Dehradoon in february, 2002.

                        last year, it developed a strange problem. the TV would switch-off automatically after about 50 minuters of continuous use. as days passed, this period decreased to 10 minutes. finally, when the TV would switch-off automatically after just 5 minutes, i had to send it to the local authorised service centre but the service in-charge took 10 weeks to reapair the TV and charged me Rs. 6000, saying that the IC in the TV was dead. a TV has thousands of ICs. which one was he talking about? was his sevice charge justified? how do i get to know this? as there is no one else in my town who does repair work for PHILIPS TVs, i could not ascertain whether the service amount charged by the service centre was justified.


                        since the day the service centred returned my TV after rectifying the problem, a new problem has surfaced. now my TV does not show more than 50 channels while my cable operator provides 85 channels. when i bought it in 2002, the TV used to show 99 channels. the TV guide claims that the TV supports 99 channels.


                        what should i do? should i go to the service centre and again pay a hefty amount? rs. 6000, 7000, 8000,.......

                        I HAVE RECIEVED AN SMS REARDING WINING A DVD FROM PHILIPS AND REQUESTED TO LOG ON www.philipsofindia.com. THERE THEY ASKED MOBILE NUMBER AS KEY LOGGING WORD. AFTER THEY ASKED TO FILL A REGISTRATION FORM ASKING DETAILS .
                        AFTER COMPLETING THEY SEND ME A CONFORMATION BY SMS.
                        BUT AFTER THIS THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION.

                          I own the HTS6515 home cinema system. Thankfully, this is a secondary unit we use in the bedroom.
                          The problem:
                          'We' managed to break the plastic clip on stand for the main unit.
                          Being a piece of plastic, i assume costing a few pounds, i figured this would be reletively simple to replace.
                          With a little online research, I found two companies who specialise in spares for Philips. Dutchwest & Curryspartmaster.
                          After helpful, but fruitless emails & telephone calls with both companies, i was advised to contact Philips dirtectly on their customer service helpline. I was immediately directed to their online store, and a very unhelpful woman, who did not know what product i was talking about, as her 'system' could not bring up details for this item.
                          She then 'Oh so kindly' & very quickly referred me to Dutchwest. I managed (after sometime) to explain to her I'd already been through both Dutchwest & Curryspartmaster, and had been unsuccessful & had been reffered to Philips customer service by them. She told me i would have to talk to customer services, because "if it not online, then it's not available!"
                          I then kindly explained to her that the people she wanted to put me back to, were the poeple who had connected me to her! Anyways....
                          I went back to customer 'care' (The use of the word care here was starting to get my back up!)
                          They basically told me If the stand is not sold by one of their suppliers (Dutchwest or Curryspartmaster) or by their online shop, then it was not available!
                          I stated this surely could not be true, and there must be a solution available to her than spending another £300.00 to buy a brnd new system just for the stand?!?!?!?!?
                          She put me on hold for what seemed like an eternity, and then came back offering to put me through directly to the dept who make/deal with DVD/Home cinema.
                          I thought "fantastic - finally someone who will know exactly what i'm after & how to get it!"
                          I was put in to a que of 15, which took nearly 25mins (listening to exactly the same piece of classical music, over & over!)
                          A young man with a bad cold told me after hearing my case the following, "If it's not stocked by Dutchwest, curryspartmaster or our online shop, then I cannot help you!" "We have no facility to help outside of this policy!"
                          I informed him that i work in technical customer service industry & we regularly have customers who need a component that is not sales enabled. I consider it my job to get that item for the customer by any means necessary. This usually means transacting an internal buget code or two, then loading a miscellaneaous spares order for the customer to pay for the item.
                          Although he listened to my tale & actually apologised for not being able to help, he again stated that my options were as before.
                          So...in summary:
                          If you manage to break the stand of your HTS6515 DVD system, you will never be able to replace it! Without it, you can only lay it flat, or prop it up against something. neither of which is asthetically pleasing, or practical in terms o[censored]sing the remote, or safety from knockig it over!

                          I will seriously think twice before purchasing from Philips in the future!!!

                            we brought a philips food processor from Kholsa Electronics.... a few days ago(18.9.09).on that day we were informed via sms that within 48 hours their executive would come to our place to show us a demonstration of the product.till then we were instructed not to open the box of the phliups food processor.we are waiting eagerly for there arrival....but of no use...till now they cant send an executive and open our product.today they called us and told that their executive would come today at 6pm....but till now(7.30)...they are showing no positive response.moreover their helpline[protected]cant help us ..they are also unable to say surely when would they send their executive.we cant use the product...just look at the cartoon.....so please sir it would be of great if you kindly look into this matter and help us as quickly as possible.
                            I am also facing the same issue. I bought on 10-oct-2009. Still I haven't opened the box as per the executives informed in the call. Now I am planning to return the product and going to buy normal mixie.

                              PRODUCT ORDERED:Phillips 5.1 channel home theatre system.
                              Credit card used: AXIS bank
                              Credit card Charged on:19/08/09 in the name of GIFT 360 BANGALORE with transaction ID 40371767

                              I had ordered for three nos of Phillips 5.1 channel home theatre system via order No 67449 on 19th Aug 2009. They had promised to deliver the product within 14 days. On completion of 14 days and on enquiry over telephone they confirmed that they will deliver within 15th of September without fail. On 16th they recommitted that the same will be delivered by 22nd September as because there was a shortage of stocks but they had managed to get hold of the stocks and they can now deliver the same without fail. The same was also confirmed by their team lead.
                              When today evening on (22nd Sep) on non delivery of consignments they confirmed their unability to deliver the product.
                              My querries are as belows
                              1. There is no clearity on how will my card be repaid?
                              2. Why is such a fraud company allowed to work in Indian market?
                              3. I am desperate to know what any authority will do to stop the working of such a fraud company?

                                I had booked the said product in the month of August09 and the amount was paid through Credit Card. Credit Card statement for August09 shows that the amount has been paid to you. But till date the product is not received. No information about the processing of order or cause of delay is given to me. I feel I am being ceated for a considerable amount. Pl look in to matter and send the product or pay my money with interest for 2 Months.

                                On June 27, 2009 I had placed an order for an offer provided over the phone for a Home Theatre and DVD Player system. After booking on phone they provided a Booking Id.[protected] assuring me that the same will be delivered by courier within three weeks. But till now I have not received the Phillips DVD player cum Home Theatre system or any other gifts.

                                I made the payments through my SBI Credit card and the same was transacted to your account on June 29, 2009 for a sum of Rs.7598-00 (including postal charges).

                                I am deeply sad to write to you that the assurance given has not been fulfilled and the same amounts to deficiency in service and deception. The customer care Number provided[protected] for assistance does not seem to function; several STD calls have been wasted on this account.

                                Kindly ensure that the products for which the money has already been paid is delivered urgently or else the amount with interest is refunded forthwith.

                                I wish to get immediate from you in this regard within a week from now.

                                Home Theater and Philips DVD Player — Non-receipt of the Product

                                On June 27, 2009 I had placed an order for an offer provided over the phone for a Home Theatre and DVD Player system and other gifts i.e. Benetton Watch worth Rs. 2600 + Holiday Voucher worth Rs. 5000 for 3 days @ 2 nights.
                                After booking on phone they provided a Booking ID./ Transaction ID.[protected] and a membership no. 0952810 assuring me that the same will be delivered by courier within three weeks. But till now I have not received the Phillips DVD player cum Home Theatre system or any other gifts.
                                I made the payments through my SBI Credit card and the same was transacted to your account on June 29, 2009 for a sum of Rs.7598-00 (including postal charges). Statement of SBI credit Card is attached herewith.
                                I am deeply sad to write to you that the assurance given has not been fulfilled and the same amounts to deficiency in service and deception. The customer care Number provided[protected] for assistance does not seem to function; several STD calls have been wasted on this account.
                                Kindly ensure that the products for which the money has already been paid is delivered urgently or else the amount with interest is refunded forthwith.

                                I wish to get immediate response from you in this regard within a week from now lest I should put case before the consumer court.

                                0N 24.12.09, I HAD BOOKED ONE DVD PLAYER TELEPHONICALLY. PAYAMENT WAS MADE ON LINE BY CREDIT CARD. AT THE TIME OF BOOKING APPROXIMATE DELIVERY TIM MENTIONED WAS 10 TO 14 DAYS.

                                HOWEVER, TILL NOW I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING AND NO INTIMATION FROM YOUR SIDE WHICH IS HIGHLY REGRETTABLE. ON CONTACTING THE CUSTONM CARE DEPTT, THE ONLY ONLY REPLY ONE GET IS THAT MY CONSIGNMENT HAS BEEN PICKED UP BY COURIER COMPANY ON 14.01.10 AND BEYOND WHICH THEY DO NOT HAVE RESPONSIBILITY. ON FURTHER PERSISTING THE TELEPHONE NO OF COURIER COMPANY IS GIVEN BY YOUR CALL CENTRE FOR FOLLOW UP.
                                IS IT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER TO CALL YOUR COURIR COMPANY AND FOLLOW UP. ITS HIGHLY DISGUSTING. PLESAE IMPROVE YOUR SERVICES OTHERWISE DO NOT MAKE ANY FALSE PROMISES. THIS WAS MY FIRST TRANSACTION WITH INDIA TODAY BUT IS PROVING TO BE VERY BITTER.

                                  I had purchased a Philips hair dryer (Model HP4885/00) on 04 Dec 2008 and the product is under warranty for one year. The item was given to the authorized service center in Bangaloreon 04 Sep 09 vide work order no. [protected] for a defect and even after two weeks neither the item has been repaired nor I am being informed that I should forget about it. My calls to the Philips customer care[protected] on 15, 16 and 18 Sep 09 has fallen on the deaf ear who only apologizes for the inconvenience with an assurance that the matter will be looked into. Infact one gentleman from the customer care on 18 Sep 09 took my email-id with a promise to revert back within an hour (probably wanted to cut a joke). I am facing the inconvenience since last two weeks (and donot know for how long?). Will any compensation be paid by Philips for the customer’s inconvenience other than apologies? Any way, it is a lesson for me to think twice for buying Philips product in future. Can I expect my hair dryer from Philips.

                                    Dear Sir,
                                    I have received subject items vide Living Media India Ltd,N.Delhi Invoice no:ORA[protected] dt 30/07/09 in fourth week of August.
                                    After waiting for company courier man for about 1 week,I opened d parcel & do not found any free gift voucher of Rs.5000/- for diamond & gold jewellery.

                                    Since last 16-17 days I tried several times to claim my free gift voucher on given site[protected]

                                    but all efforts are in vain.
                                    Even I tried several times to contact company on given tel.no.:[protected],
                                    but here also efforts gone in to vain.All d time I heared only recorded tape for more than 15-20 minutes thereby increase in STD Bill.
                                    I even send email complaints to them on :[protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com & found no reply even after 2 weeks.
                                    Now ,what is to be done in this regard ?
                                    I am afraid of this company & seem to be scandal behind this.

                                      I brought philps tv 6 months(54 cm flat tv), Remote is not at all working and having sound problem.
                                      i called and mail to philp service centre .When i called they told they will send the executive but till now nobody came and see the tv

                                        My Audio System model is FWV-355 which i bought it 4 yrs back ... I had the problem of just CD closing and Opening and also change of the disc... I have given my system in Mahalaxmi Electronics Hyderabad, on 31 August 2009.They have checked my system and told me that the CD lens (Set) shud be replaced and it costs Rs.1800/- and need to be changed... i asked them the CD Reading is very good but the main problem is of open/close and change of the disc .They told me that this is due to the problem of the lens... Then i said OK and plz replace the part and then they have charged me totally 2200 including the service charge...The spare parts are tooo costly as when compared to the system.

                                        On 2 sept 2009 i bring back my system & checked it but still facing the same problem... My system is very gud before the service itself...but they spoiled it and even my casetter player is not working properly they wont listen to our words or else our problems which we are facing ... they simply say that the problem will be rectified once the whole service is done.

                                        But Nillll...

                                        Plz i m requesting u that dont take ur product to the service center...better the technician comes to ur home and do the repair... the problem will not be solved in the service center why bcz they will write something in the complaint and do the repair for another one.

                                        The Service is very very very poooooor...

                                        I was totally disappointed by their service.

                                        Hi This is S.Srinivas,

                                        This is reply to my coments which i have posted earlier for my system Philips FWV-355.

                                        First of all Special Thanks to the Consumer Complaints for highlighting my problem at the Philips customer desk.
                                        I got a mail from the customer service for helping me out from these issues and responded fastly and also special thanks to my local Service center Mahalaxmi Electronics, Hyderabad who has approched me fastly to solve the problem with work order No: [protected] dated on 07/09/2009.

                                        They have rectified my
                                        1. Changing of the Disc tray issue.
                                        2. Low Sound Issue on the Right Side speaker while playing the cassettes by changing the Head of the cassette player(Now both are working fine with equal pitch).
                                        3. Replay Issue after Ending of the cassette.

                                        Now all the problems were solved and checked twice n thrice before getting my system back from the service center and now it is playing well upto my expectations.

                                        And at last Once again my Special Thanks to:

                                        1. Consumer Complaints India.
                                        2. Philips customer service,
                                        3. Mahal Laxmi Electronics. in helping me out from my issues.
