Dear sir,

I bought 29pt2204 on[protected]with in two months it was getting on&off on its own, i contacted Phillips serivce center persons @ Marathalli in bangalore and registered a compliant in the month of Jan-08 vide comp no-F-55 after a lapse of 3 months they attended my compliant did something and went, to my surprise on the same day evening again same problem occured again. Added to that some times no audio some time with heavy echo sound its started giving some more troubles. I called up several times to Marathalli service center persons. No responce, again i registered a fresh complant with Philips customer care no-[protected] on 4-4-2008 vide comp no-60141

5-6-08/within eveing call expextd CALLED UP INFORMED THAT SATURDAY THEY R FIXING IT
16-6-08/with in two days they reply with replacement or refund.
19-6-08/within 5 pm call expected.
19-6-08/within 5 pm call expected on 20-6-08.
20-6-08/Domlur service center person called up for service when i said abt the case he said will inform to branch head.
21-6-08/called up for status they said they r going to callup today before noon.

so this is the way of giving service, is 6months time required to repair a TV. So i cant call any more to get my TV repaired, im requesting you to Replace the TV and give New TV or else Refund the money i paid for the TV.

    Hello Sir

    I have purchased Philips DVD Home Theatre HTS3105. This product is faulty and despite my continous talks with their customer care, no action has been taken to replace the system. The faults keep on coming and resurfaces again and again. The major problem is it is unable to load the disc, sometimes even the lens cleanser is not detected.

    I would not recommend anybody to buy Philips product considering my bad experiences with the Philips DVD Home Theatre. I have now even lft the hope that this problem has some permanent solution.

    Dont Buy PHILIPS.

    Please see if anything can be done.

      About 6 weeks back, my very expensive 50-inch Philips plasma TV developed a minor problem. It took 2 weeks for the Philips service center to pick it up for repairs.

      Now after 4 weeks have elapsed, I am still waiting to get my TV back. Every time I call them to inquire, they have a standard answer -- "we are still waiting for the parts from Pune." Now they have even stopped answering my phone calls.

      This should serve as a warning to all consumers. If you are thinking of buying any Philips TV -- CRT, LCD or plasma -- better think again. If it ever needs any servicing, you might as well forget about it.

      Learn from my experience. Stay away from Philips and warn all your friends as well.

      Caveat Emptor -- Buyer Beware.

        I have purchased the philips DVD 3166 model before 3 months. Now, if we put any cd in the tray it is loading for 1 minute and displays the message NO DISC. What is the problem?

        There are lots of problem with DVP3166. Notable one are:

        (1) Cannot automatically jump from one folder to another while playing.
        (2) No easy volume control + mute
        (3) Doens'nt play some of the high resolution videos & exits the player abruptly.
        (4) No firmware upgrades available.
        (5) Lots of problems with high capacity pendrive (USB greater than 4GB) and inability to play from external harddisks.
        (6) Doenst navigates and shows the active playing song or movie in the directory view.
        (7) No external display to show the content it plays. (You should need a TV to operate it !!... , it doenst even auto detect and play the disc or pendrive it detects!...

        This is just the tip of iceberg problems...
        I have purchased the philips DVD 3166 x/94 model Sr no FJ1A [protected] before 8 months in udaipur(Raj). Now, if we put any cd in the tray it is loading for 1 minute and displays the message NO DISC.

        Many Times I tried and found same problem with different disks.
        I am unable to use it at all.

        I used the DVD player very carefully all the time, but facing problem very soon . I purchase this because of big name of PHILIPS, but now not satisfied.

        Please suggest me the solution to repair it.

        There are lots of problem with DVP3166.

        Cracking sound in audio.
        Disk not detected.

        Many of the complaints are because of software problem.
        No firmware upgrades available.

        The authorised service centre are charging exorbitantly for reloading software,

        It doenst even auto detect and play the disc or pendrive it detects!...

        Very poor engineering design.

        Please dont buy any new phillips DVD players.
        The phillips name has gone. Indian phillips bstards and phillips authorised service have spoiled the name of Phillips.

        I have this DVD/DivX/USB player and its working best, mine support 500gb external HDD and eveything is working really well, I am so satisfied with this player and now I am going to buy the one with HDMI, I dont know why people say that its not supporting 160 hdd maybe you are having more then ONE PARTITION in HDD, it supports single partition and you can use any capacity USB pen drive...

        i bought dvp3166 player, at the begining it was working very nice and plays everything within 10 seconds.but i meet one problem that the sound was something noisy and low quaality, then it doesn, t plays the dvd video cd nowadays, if we use home theatres and if we the hometheatres volume fully then suddendly it will get hanged and i couldnt play further.one day i brought it to the nearest service center they told me that we didn't attended this type of repaires and all,
        so please give me a solution for this...

        Philips — Output sound port not working

        I bought a Philips LCD TV -5000 Series Model 24 " this March. The port for routing the sound from TV thru the home theatre system also a Philips was not working and I lodged a complaint with the consumer care on 24 th March. After several follow ups I was assured by their Regional Sales Manager Mr. Major Gill the set would be replaced. After several follow ups for the past 2 months all their assurances saying within one hour , one day, one week has not worked. All assurances are not honoured and the TV is only 2 months old. Probably they are waiting for the warranty period to be over by next March so that they can comfortably say the 'the Warranty is over"

          I bought a PHILIPS LCD TV (Model 23PF532‏) from USA on Jan 31st 2007. Before I bought it, I called their pre sales team and verified that it is compatible for India (NTSC/PAL). This model is also little expensive than the normal model with only NTSC. Also it supports 110-240 volt - 40 to 60 hz.

          When I came back to India in Apr 2007, I found that it didn't work. I immediately called PHILIPS and logged a complaint. It has world wide 1 year warrenty. The local PHILIPS people verified the user manual. It is also available on their website. They tried 3 times to change the inner PCB. It didn't work. Now they concluded that there are different kinds of PAL and this particular PAL is not suitable for India. But we all (PHILIPS and me) got wised up at my expense. As per my understanding as a global consumer product PHILIPS should write this in their user manual and specification in detail. Now they are asking me to pay Rs 31593 and offering me a 32" LCD whose cost in market is Rs 49990. When I bought it from US I had paid $585 = Rs 25623. So now they are asking me to spend Rs 25623 + Rs 31593 = Rs 57216 for a TV which is available at Rs 49990 in any retail store. It's very hard to get any response PHILIPS. This offer also they made after one year of struggle. Definitely I am not ready for the above option after they made me suffer for one year (Also they are asking more than the market value).
          Please guide me, what do I do? Whom to approach in consumer forum (I am in bangalore)? Is there any way to file a complaint online? What is the procedure and how long it takes to get any resolution?

            On the 11th of June, I had purchased a Philips pure water Dispenser Model No. WP3890 from Shreeji Enterprises, Thane[protected]. They had promised to install the system within two days that is by the 14th June. However, despite repeated reminders and subsequent false promises, the system has not been installed till the 16th June. On calling the Philips Customer Care, I have been told that the system will be installed only on the 19th June. People at Shreeji refuse to give any justification towards the delay and are unavailable on phone and the customer care seems to be clueless as to what needs to be done.

            I I bought it for 14 thousand more than 10 months and till now I didn't get atleast 10 liters of water from it. I suggest not to buy philips products any more.

            Every time I call them they promise that thier person will come and after repated calls they will come and check and they will say they will come tommorow again and rectify but that didn't happen.

                The audio system is not working for all the channels. The Enggs comes every time for the same problem.He sets the same in the factory settings and the problem is resolved. The same problem has been occured more then six times in last eight months.I told him to let me know the procedure to restore the audio stting s but he is not co-operative.
                Every time I have to call the person from Philips service centre .
                Can you provide me the settings to restore the same so that it will be convenient for me to do myself rather than wait for the service person.

                Philips — Audio Problem

                I bought a philips TV in 2yrs back, now the TV sound is not comming and the video also move from down to 1" i was searching places for Philips Service centre, but the result no where in philips service centre i am realy disappointed because this is our india product i am not able to find the correct service centre (i got one service centre, but when i was calling nobody will picking the phone), i request for particular person kindly make more service centre for philips, so people can easily take care their philips product, , i love philips products, plz help me

                I am also facing similar problem. Every time service person comes and charges 500-600 Rs. for restoring volume and within 2 months the problem occurs again. When we ask for actual cause they tell us, there is a problem with some chip and they change it and do something with remote control (Enters some code in factory mode) and problems get resolved for some time. When I asked for this procedure they ignored to answer. This problem is causing lot of trouble as every 2 months we have to call service person from Philips service center.

                  I bought Pilips music system FWD 182 on 24.06.2007 from Krishna Electronics, A-260, Majlis Park, arsh Nagar, Delhi-110033.
                  But unfortunately it start giving trouble only after one week, In this music system I can’t able to play CDs also the system automatically get started in the stand by mode.
                  Since July’07 I had made about 20-25 complaints in the Philips customer care, and on this complaints 4 to 5 time technition come to attend complaint and even take system to service centre 2 time, but still they can’t able to rectify the problem, Still I can’t able to play CD on the system also the system automatically get started in the stand by mode, my complaint number is 9652.

                    I have purchased Philips Water Purifier in name of my father Sh.Vinod Arora on 05/04/08, its model number is WP3891/01. From last few weeks, there is a leakage problem in that purifier, for which I have been complaining to Philips Customer Care at [protected]. I filed my first complaint on 23/04/08 and got a call reference number as 43766, but no technician visited for the resolution. On 02/05/08, I again called the customer care service and a new reference number was given to me as 45066 with a promise of providing appropriate service. but on 06/05/08 I got a call from Philips Care from the number [protected] and the person committed to send the technician on other day but still no one approached. So, on 10/05/08, I got another call reference number on calling customer care as 46492. And in this regard, I again got a call on 11/05/08 and on 13/05/08, a technician visited to check the complaint but the purifier was unable to repair because he said one part needs to be changed for making it properly work without getting leaked. But, the thing is that after calling so many times I just got this response. So, I want to get the whole purifier changed instead of some part because its being hardly just two months of purchase that it started leaking. From last few days, the purifier is not being accessed by us and we are drinking tap water despite of having a so called water purifier which is of no use due to some technical problem. So, please help me in getting the purifier changed or the company agree to take it back by giving my paid amount.

                    I am encountering the same problem here. I had to travel 15 kms (MArina electorincs, Triplicane) to get a filter for this product. This time I was given a filter where the MRP was corrected using a whitener and the price was not displayed just had a whitener and the manufacturing date was also made the same but the date was printed as AUG 2007. I asked for another one, they said thats the only stock left. I called up customer care and they said I can get it with the dealers. I checked all the dealers they said no. Called customer care again they gave me the service center's no. Called them up nothing was helpful everybody was out of stock.

                    Now when my mom called the customer care they say it will take 2 more days. What shall I do without water for 2 days. The previous water service was stopped as we bought this product. Now if we ask them again for 2 days they wont respond. And eve if he does he will charge the double rate.

                    The funny part is I cannot see this product on their website.
                    Most fu...ked up water purifier one can get in the market today.I only trusted the Philips name before buying, thinking that one wouldn't have to bother about the other technicalities there after.Being a techie myself I later found out that it involved rocket tech...ly before you got out water out of the spout.If there was a air bubble in the inflow, .the water would stop instantly, if ever the pressure fell by a few millibars the result was the same. The tube.the plastic body including the joints all appear cheap and inferior.There is a persisent leakage problem from the word go.I have used Aqua guard, Alfa.Moniba and many other filters at different places in the past and was always satisfied .What made me to buy a PHILIPS was only the name. .The tech..ns attending to the breakdowns did not have the slightest knowledge of the product.They happen to be well dressed roadside plumbers.PHILIPS are you listening.Please stick to audio products which are otherwise not performing equally well, and that made you jump into this ventureI .PHILIPS I want my money back or else I assume that you have looted me.I would therefore advice any and everyone NEVER buy a PHILIPS product in future, or else repent the rest of your life
                    Even my philips pure water dispenser has a leaky bottom! Total manufacturing error.

                    Pure water dispenser — Poor service by the dealer

                    Sir, I have purchased one pure water dispenser from Philips. Now it is not working as the filter needs to be serviced/replaced. On giving many calls to the technician, nobody turned up. So the basic purpose of the purchased item is defeated. This type of people pull down the name of the company for which they work.It is really surprising and disappointing to find such poor customer care from a company of Philips repute. Philips should take action against their Pathankot service center if they dont want their reputation to suffer.

                      Hi,

                      On 15th of April '08 I've lodged my complaint regarding my mini home theator MCD109 DVD Player. But till now I am getting only daily assurance from Philips Customer Care and Philips Service Centre. Unfortunately, I have been a regular Philips customer, even when I was in USA.

                      I am calling them and service center too and the common reply is they will reach me in 48 hours. Pathetic customer care I've experienced with Philips, India.

                      Micro DVD Player Of Philips — DVD Player

                      Dear Sir,
                      I am Pradeep Thapliyal,Residing at 26 N,Gole Market,New Delhi,I had purchased a Micro DVD Player (MCD 106) of Phillips Company From CSD on 28/11/2007,but it was defected and it didn’t give Video Out/Put from the first time when I put it to use, after complaining for more than 10 days they took it to the service center on 15/12/2007, since then I m asking for replacement of my DVD but they are not giving any answer.

                      On 11th of February'08 I've lodged my complaint regarding my DVD Player which is under warranty. But till now I am getting only daily assurance from Philips Customer Care and Philips Service Centre.

                      Everyday since 11th Feb I am calling them and service center too and the common reply is they will update my system today. But as always that today has not come. The ever pathetic customer care I've experience with Philips, India.

                      I Bought These Phillips 5.1 Speaker System (SP060) From Vijay Sales, Thane West Approximately April 2007. The Speakers Stopped Functioning The Same Month, Which Was When I Lodged my First Complaint For Repair As They'd A Warranty Of 1 Year. I've been calling Phillips Service Center(Vision Electronics) In thane Since Then. I've now called them more than 20-25 times. I'd their service person visit our place 3 times during these past 11 months. Everyone keeps saying that There's A Fault With The I.C And They would need to replace it. After their visit, everyone gives me a Turn Around time of 1-2 weeks which just never dawn. I'm so disgusted with the kind of service they provide. And They dont have a definite answer anytime. I've now spoken to so many people from Vision Electronics, Noone has the courtesy even to keep me informed about whats happening.
                      They have just recently taken the Woofer to replace the I.C which is now about 3 weeks And Theres no communication. I called them to check the status last Week And As Always Was Told that I'll get it back in the next 3-4 days. I Asked for the Corporate Phone No To complain About This. I Spoke To some Person(I dont remember his name but i've it written down at home.) This guy was in Ahmedabad. He put me on hold for about 2-3 mins without telling me what he was doing and then probably got someone from IT conferenced on the call and they promised me that I'd Receive The Woofer Back On Tuesday, March 18th 2008. And I still havent heard from them .
                      I'm so irritated with all this that I want to sue this ridiculous company for this. I've wasted so time and money (cell phone bills) calling these people and I just manage to get a deaf ear everytime.
                      I just want the money I paid for the speakers back and have them take those GodDamn Speakers. I Swear I'm Never Going To GIve Them any business in The Future And Advice All The People I Know To Avoid Buying Phillips Products.

                      I bought a FWD182(PHIIPS) music system from Krishav Gadget Bazaar Pvt Ltd, A-80, Lajpat Nagar - II on 11 Aug 07. The cassette player was unserviceable in Oct 07. It was repaired in Oct 07.

                      Water Purifier Not Working Properly - I purchased Philips Water Purfier 4 months back and I am facing the music - that too in peak summer when we need it the most. When lodged a complaint Philips technical person was here to test and they say it is working fine. They do not have any equipment to test the water before it is filtered and after filtering. In this regard I want to approach a 3rd party LAB which can do this - test the water for me. I ask them to suggest a LAB that PHILIPS believes is GENUINE. I might be wrong in my analysis that the purifier is not working properly - but if I get it tested by a LAB I can be happy that my KID is drinking pure water. I left behind 12 year experienced water purifying system (Aqua Guard) and went for this brand and I don't like to be treated as innocent. Philips spends crores on advertising this product but does not have a testing equipment to satisfy the customer. Also the customer care people are pathetic in their service. When lodged a complain on PHILIPS INDIA website we get an automated reply that someone will call in 24 hrs and NONE have called even after ONE WEEK.

                      I bought a Philips water purifier a month back from Ezone in the name of my husband Santosh.
                      While buying the product they never told us, along with the water purifier a pump booster worth (Rs. 2000) is required to regulate the water.
                      After buying the product we had to call them several times even to install it.After installation there was very less water flow. Then the technician is suggesting us for the Pump Booster.
                      We didn't go for it and managed with that little flow of water. One day the water stopped flowing.                       DVP 3146 — complaint

                      I have already been lodged a complaint against DVP 3146 Divex on 4th Aug 08 and my compalint No 85604. . Due to frequent calling the nearest dealer attend the case on 9th Aug 08. The technician said that the lence deffective. The deffected components has to be replaced within one week. Hence I request yuor honour to repace the DVD instead of repair. Please intimate the next course of action immidiate.

                      I had purchased a Philips 5.1 channel 100 RMS speaker system from M/s Audiotronics, IRC Village, Bhuhaneswar (Orissa), India, Phone No. (+[protected], (+[protected]. The date of purchase is August 11, 2004 and the product no is: MP[protected]. The cost I have paid is Rs. 7, 500 INR. After giving a four year's good service suddenly some problems came to the system. The details of the problems are as follows:

                      1. Its remote controller is not working most of the times. After giving the power supply, its red light turns on. But the remote is does not work. No button of the remote works. Hence I am not able to change the Line 1 or Line 2 or Line 3 of it.

                      2. To my surprise after a prolonged trials, the remote works. After giving the power supply, its red light turns on. By pressing Line 2 switch (my input line) it functions correctly. But all of a sudden, its volume goes on rising rising to the peak. Remote at this time does not work to reduce the volume.

                      This matter has been communicated to M/s Audiotronics, Bhubaneswar (Orissa) from whom I had purchased this set. I am advised by M/s Audiotronics to send it to our nearest Philips Servicing Centre i.e. at Sambalpur in the western part of Orissa. Presently I am staying in Jharsuguda, Orissa (India). Hence M/s Audiotronics advised me to send the system to Philips Servicing Centre at Sambalpur (Orissa) whose phone numbers are :(+91) [protected], (+91) [protected], (+91) [protected]. I was also advised to send the system through M/s Bombay Music House, Jharsuguda to which place, the technician of Philips Servicing Centre of Sambalpur pays regular visit.

                      Now, I have sent my music system through M/s Bombay Music House, Jharsuguda to Philips Servicing Centre, Sambalpur (Orissa). But to my unfortunate though a prolonged 25 days have been elapsed, I could not get the system repaired. The technician says some electronic part is ordered and will arrive from Pune. After that he gets my set repaired. But this story became older one. As far as my knowledge is concerned, to get the part from Pune by courier, it will take hardly 1 week. The response from the servicing centre, Sambalpur is poor.


                      Hence sir, please instruct your servicing team of Sambalpur (Orissa), India, not to harass their customers otherwise people will no more believe on Philips and faith on it falls.

                      Now I want my 5.1 channel speaker system repaired at the earliest. I agree that it is an older one. But I hope a product which is purchased for Rs. 7, 500 INR should work for at least 15 - 20 years. I also hope that it is repairable. Hence please intervene into the mater and expedite the work at your service centre, Sambalpur (Orissa).

                      I bought a philips DVD player model DVP3046 from a dealer.After about 8 months it went down and was taken to a authorised service centre, vijay electronics, statue trivandrum. they repaired it after 4 weeks and I took an annual maintenence contract paying Rs 400. After 6 months it again went down and I took it to the same service centre on 22/4/o8.Till now ( 5 months) there is no reply from them.When I enquire about it they will tell that the damaged part is not available and they will call me back when it is ready. Waiting for their reply, I am very much disappointed about their service. In fact the reputation of a company(Philips) is diminishing due to the irresponsability of these service centres.I think the service of Philips is very very poor in this regard and I recommend to buy other brands of products like sony or LG as their service is excellent
                      Philips service is the worst i have seen. I had my juicer-blender faulty and gave to service, and behind it for more than a month now.                       I have purchased a philips DVD Micro Theatre MCD290 from EMDEE sales at Thane (W) on 16.03.08 . The system has stopped functioning and I have lodged a compliant (Complaint No. 0101101) with the service centre on 4.11.08. Since then I have called them at least 20-25 times. The only reply I get is my case will be attended tomorrow which never comes. One technician Mr Ganesh Pande just shuts off his mobile when I call. The EMDEE sales people are also not cooperative. Philips has the worst after sales service ever. I am seriously thinking of approaching the Consumer Forum to get a replacement for my prodect which is still under the guarantee period.

                      Philips micro dvd theatre — Not working properly

                      We purchased a Philips micro dvd theatre through ICICI bank. Its been a year since we purchased. It aint working properly since the time we bought. We sent it to Di G waves solutions pvt lmd, authorised philips service center, Marredpally secbad 26. Phone no: 6633588. They said that liners werent proper and they charged us 1600/- on 13th december 2008. It worked for a day after we got it back. From the next day it stopped working so again we sent that back to the same service center. Now they say that CD ROM isnt working properly. The DVD player isnt proper. I think we received an outdated one. We kindly need a proper reply for this mail as soon as possible.

                      On 17th November, 2008 I purchased a PHILIPS brand HOME THEATER from Great Eastern Trading Company located at 20, Old Court House Street, Kolkata -700 001. The DVD Player that formed part of the set (Model No.3011 and Sl. No.68701) was delivered at my home the next day, but when I tried to use the DVD player for the first time to play a CD, I found to my consternation after about 10 minutes that the player was not working any more. When I restarted, the drive programme displayed a “No disc” message, but I also found that the CD was getting visibly affected with flimsy scratch marks on it. When I personally contacted the selling outlet, a responsible employee manning the service counter there advised me to get in touch with the service center of the manufacturing firm. A mechanic from the Service Center paid a visit at my home after a couple of days and asked me to deposit the DVD Player at the Service Center. The mechanic there saw to the defect and told me that he had repaired the glitch and I took the DVD Player back home. The mechanic advised me not to try playing cheap CDs. After a lapse of a few days the same problem recurred and I again had to take the DVD player to the Service Center for a re-look. As I took the set back again the mechanic at the Service Center admitted that there was a defect in the setup which he said he had set right. The problem however continued to persist and I had to contact the Service Center once more but they did not send any mechanic. On 29th January I was forced to request the selling outlet viz. Great Eastern Trading Company to replace the defective set but they pleaded their helplessness stating that they could not do so after a lapse of a week from the date of purchase. When I pointed out that I had come to the outlet on the fourth day after purchasing the set they refused to accept my contention and iterated that anything regarding any electronic gadget once purchased should be taken up with the Service Center of the manufacturer concerned and that the selling outlet could not have anything to do with it. Utterly exasperated and exhausted I left the DVD Player at the counter of the Great Eastern Trading Company and even after my repeatedly requesting for a receipt, they not only refused to give me one but showed me the door in a very uncivil and unacceptable manner.
                      As an aggrieved customer I do not know what to do and whom to look to for the redressal of my grievance. Should I not be taking the matter before the District Forum constituted under the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986?

                      At the time of giving it for repair, only dvd was not working. When I went to take back, CD also is not working. They are not even in a position to give back my dvd player as it was...pathetic people.

                      Philips 5.1 music system — Regarding no response for service of product which is still under warranty

                      I have registered a service complaint ( compliant no 148595 ) in Alap service centre in November'2009 which is an authorised serivce centre of Philips India in Ahmedabad. At that time they told me that they are not having the accessory to replace it and they have to order in philips for that which will come within 7 working days, after two weeks when i didn't get their call i approach their service centre and i was shocked to hear that the accessory was still not available with them they assure me that within 3-4 days my problem will be resolved and since from there they were just keep me assuring but till now my problem is still unsolved .

                      If this forum really works for suffering customers than pls help me, as this is totally a case of cheating from such a reputed brand.
                      Buying from vijay sales seems that they are procuring defective electronics items from Philips and selling at very low prices. The items get faulty and then the customer harassment starts . I bought a Philips dvd player in some scheme displayed prominently in the showroom and till now i am repenting . My advice to all that do not buy DVD Players or anything which is displayed as these may not be the items which are to be disposed off at low prices as either they are defective or not getting sold for some reason. Also post sales service at vijay sales??? ---do not even dream of a service at all...thier job is to chipkao the items at low prices to customers and then let the customer suffer.

                      Phillips has very poor quality products & their after sales service is pathetic. Their service centre in Thane is full of arrogant (as well as ignorant people). I am also having a DVD Micro theatre MCD 290. In the last 3 years it has developed snags almost 6 times. The guys at the Thane Service Centre charge exorbitant rates (Rs 350) just to have a look at what the fault is. They even don't tell you about the charge when you hand them the system. Add to it some obscene amount for actual repair & ridiculous timelines. When you confront them they behave in a very rude fashion. Please beware of Phillips Products. They have got worst after Sales Service.

                        The CFL purchased on 5th April 2008 from M/S Ganguly Electrical outlet on S P Mukherjee Road, in south Kolkata did burst after glowing for sometime on 27th April and the CFL came out of the holder and fell on the floor. Fortunately no bodily injury was caused as this has happened distance away. The Holder was found intact and another bulb was put on and found working OK.

                        The dealer did not entertain request for replacement though the same was under warranty with a committment of replacement within one year.

                        philips authoriezd serivce agent mr.soni who the philips service center indore.he bought my 14"tv's chechies before 6 month.after i called so many time his or his indore office.but no budy response my caal and there mrs.preethi answerd that i have no solutiton o[censored]r problem.sir im realy mental depreation for thi cause.plz solve my problem asa early as possible.

                        Even I am facing issues with Philips CFL and its warranty. The dealer claims that he has stopped dealing Philips because such complaints and refuses to take it for replacement. I have filed a complaint with the customer care.
                        Usually we find a Guarantee or Warranty card describing conditions subject to which the guarantee /warranty would be executed, but as far as Philips CFLs are are concerned no such terms/condions are found to be mentioned on the packaging or in the packet also . However it is heard from certain customers, friends and associates of mine that many shops give a warranty or guarantee . My advise is that since the company makes no mention about guarantee or warranty, dont believe what others say about it .
                        I purchased one CFL of Philips brand ( Model : Genie, 5 watts ) on 4th September 2011 . The CFL has stopped working w.e.f. 10th March 2012 . It was bought from M/S Bakshi Electricals, Sikanderpur, Gurgaon, Haryana - 122001 . The firm has refused to replace it as the warranty of replacement is for six months only . The company should clarify the exact period of guarantee for replacement for such products .

                          I HAD BOUGHT A PHILIPS DVD PALYER IN 2005. THE DRIVE OF THE SYSTEM IS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY. THE SERVICE CENTRE IS CHARGING RS 1600/- FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE FULL DRIVE AS THE DEFECTIVE DRIVER MOTOR IS NOT AVAILABLE. I THINK IN TIMES WHEN A NEW DVD PLAYER IS COSTING 2300/- IT IS ILLOGICAL TO ASK 1600/- FOR REPAIRS. IN ADDITION, THE COMPANY SHOULD NOT FLOAT A PRODUCT IN THE MARKET WHICH IT CANNOT SUPPORT FOR EVEN THREE YEARS

                          Very Poor Service...

                          My Audio System model is FWV-355 which i bought it 4 yrs back ... I had the problem of just CD closing and Opening and also change of the disc... I have given my system in Mahalaxmi Electronics Hyderabad, on 31 August 2009.They have checked my system and told me that the CD lens (Set) shud be replaced and it costs Rs.1800/- and need to be changed... i asked them the CD Reading is very good but the main problem is of open/close and change of the disc .They told me that this is due to the problem of the lens... Then i said OK and plz replace the part and then they have charged me totally 2200 including the service charge...The spare parts are tooo costly as when compared to the system.

                          On 2 sept 2009 i bring back my system & checked it but still facing the same problem... My system is very gud before the service itself...but they spoiled it and even my casetter player is not working properly they wont listen to our words or else our problems which we are facing ... they simply say that the problem will be rectified once the whole service is done.

                          But Nillll...

                          Plz i m requesting u that dont take ur product to the service center...better the technician comes to ur home and do the repair... the problem will not be solved in the service center why bcz they will write something in the complaint and do the repair for another one.

                          The Service is very very very poooooor...

                          I was totally disappointed by their service.

                          Philips — NON COOPERATION AT THE SERVICE CENTRE

                          This is in reference to my Hair Straightener of Philips, Model HP3310, purchased on 30/3/2012. As the product was not working proper I had given at the service centre at Santacruz E on 16/7/2012 against WO no. 120416. The product is still under warranty. I also mailed them the invoice copy for their reference. After few days they asked for the mail copy again. On 1st of August, when I followed up they said they will replace the product. Yesterday when I called up, they again asked us to mail them invoice copy, which was done immediately. Again I called up, Ms Jyoti, who was following this issue said that they cannot replace the product as it is out of stock and would refund the amount for the product after deducting the VAT(12.5%). I wanted to talk to any of the senior but she said that she only is the head of the centre. I denied as I why should I bear the VAT and I need the product not money. Today again I called up, they said that they cannot replace the product and I will have to collect the product from the dealer who has sold it after they put a sticker on it. I called up the dealer, they are saying that they will not do any such thing. I am really shocked by the behaviour of the service centre people and considering PHILIPS as a prestigious company I bought this product and this is not expected. I really want you to look in this matter and help me in getting my product replaced. I even cautioned them that I will go to consumer court to which they replied cooly as you can go whereever you want. I am also posting this complaint on consumer complaints site.

                            On Sunday 13th April, 2008 i visited to Vaibhav Khand, SHIPRA MALL, Indrapuram ( U.P.) For purchase of CTV, I Selected Philips
                            CTV (PHILIPS 29PT5507)-COMBO OFFER INCLUDES HOME THEATRE (DSP 3000) & DVD PLAYER (DVP-3146) @14990/- i paid all the bill through ICICI Credit card under 6 EMI Option + 2.0% Processing fee.
                            Because of some constrant i could not purchase the 29" CTV, so,
                            i tried to Replace the CTV With PC ( HP BRAND @31990) as per the terms & condition printed on the cash memo, For that i tried the service executives no. as this is only printed on the billing cash memo. I got the no of RELIANCE DIGITAL, SHIPRA MALL, INDRAPURAM, ITried the no., but nobody give me satisfactory answer regarding the replacement, i wasted nearly one hour with the executives, then i went personally to Reliance digital, First they agree for Replacement, But after 4 hour they denied to replace the item( Ms.Jyotsna & Ms. Priyanka ) I tried to meet with Reliance digital Incharge, but nobody help to talk to Manager, even they didn't provide his no.,
                            After a long discussion they told me to come after two days for the same, nearly 6.30 i went back to my home .
                            Their behaviour towards customer is very disappoining & they are Neither willing to solve the problems of customer nor they are willing to increase the sale of reliance digital by satisfing the customer needs, even it is as per terms & condition printed on Cash memo itself.

                              I bought a Philips HTS3545 on Oct 6, 2007 from Adishwar outlet at Domlur, Bangalore.
                              On 13th March, 2008, the system started giving technical problem whereby it was observed that the input power was not received by the system. I called Adishwar outlet and Philips helpline in Bangalore for the nearest Philips service center and they advised me to call the following

                              Philips VCare, Marathalli
                              CP- Mr. Subaiah ([protected])

                              Mr. Subaiah came to my residence and took away with him one part from the main system to test it in his office and take necessary actions to get it replaced from Philips, if it was defective. If it was fine, he would diagnose another part to be defective (as only two parts are concerned to supply input power, according to him).
                              I called him after couple of days to find the part of the system he had taken away is infact defective and he asked me to wait for a week so that he can get its replacement.
                              Weeks passed and he is giving excuses of not getting the part replace. I am without the service of the Philips system even after a month. I asked Mr. Subaiah to give me the old part back to me, understanding he is incapable to give a solution.
                              I lodged a complaint with Philips Customer care on 31-Mar-2008(# 58958). Surprisingly, I am yet to get a reply in 2 weeks time.

                              Please arrange to take back my HTS system and reimburse me the cost of the product as soon as possible as I have lost faith in Philips.

                              Please revert at the earliest.

                              Home theatre system not working properly. It's totaly dead since 15-20 days. So, please send your service engineer, for repairing. for communication please talk to Mr. Vinay Deo on [protected]. So, look in to the matter immediately & solve the problem as early as possible.
                              Dear Sir,
                              I had purchased a Philips 5.1 channel 100 RMS speaker system from M/s Audiotronics, IRC Village, Bhuhaneswar (Orissa), India, Phone No. (+[protected], (+[protected]. The date of purchase is August 11, 2004 and the product no is: MP[protected]. The cost I have paid is Rs. 7, 500 INR. After giving a four year's good service suddenly some problems came to the system. The details of the problems are as follows:

                              1. Its remote controller is not working most of the times. After giving the power supply, its red light turns on. But the remote is does not work. No button of the remote works. Hence I am not able to change the Line 1 or Line 2 or Line 3 of it.

                              2. To my surprise after a prolonged trials, the remote works. After giving the power supply, its red light turns on. By pressing Line 2 switch (my input line) it functions correctly. But all of a sudden, its volume goes on rising rising to the peak. Remote at this time does not work to reduce the volume.

                              This matter has been communicated to M/s Audiotronics, Bhubaneswar (Orissa) from whom I had purchased this set. I am advised by M/s Audiotronics to send it to our nearest Philips Servicing Centre i.e. at Sambalpur in the western part of Orissa. Presently I am staying in Jharsuguda, Orissa (India). Hence M/s Audiotronics advised me to send the system to Philips Servicing Centre at Sambalpur (Orissa) whose phone numbers are :(+91) [protected], (+91) [protected], (+91) [protected]. I was also advised to send the system through M/s Bombay Music House, Jharsuguda to which place, the technician of Philips Servicing Centre of Sambalpur pays regular visit.

                              Now, I have sent my music system through M/s Bombay Music House, Jharsuguda to Philips Servicing Centre, Sambalpur (Orissa). But to my unfortunate though a prolonged 25 days have been elapsed, I could not get the system repaired. The technician says some electronic part is ordered and will arrive from Pune. After that he gets my set repaired. But this story became older one. As far as my knowledge is concerned, to get the part from Pune by courier, it will take hardly 1 week. The response from the servicing centre, Sambalpur is poor.


                              Hence sir, please instruct your servicing team of Sambalpur (Orissa), India, not to harass their customers otherwise people will no more believe on Philips and faith on it falls.

                              Now I want my 5.1 channel speaker system repaired at the earliest. I agree that it is an older one. But I hope a product which is purchased for Rs. 7, 500 INR should work for at least 15 - 20 years. I also hope that it is repairable. Hence please intervene into the mater and expediate the work at your service centre, Sambalpur (Orissa).

                                I’ve lodged My complaint regarding my DVD Player DVP3146X on 11th of February 2008. Since that day I am calling Phillips service center and Customer Care {[protected]} on the daily basis. But the only reply which used to receive that today surely the technical guy would visit my place. But today has not come till now. Even I got the Number of Mr. Saha from customer care but as usual they never pick the phone. The Number of Mr. Saha {[protected]}, which he was not picking.



                                Kindly suggest me what should I’ve to do, Coz in the absence of DVD player my Philips Home Theatre is also Lying idle at my home.

                                  We brought 4in1 Audio system (CD player + Cassette player + Radio + Aux) from Mayur Electronics, Nasik, Mh.
                                  From date of purchase it's Radio was not working properly, we continuous follow-up to dealer for the same but no any responce given by Philips Dealer. After one year we gone to Auth service centre i.e. Alphabetics, Collage road, Nasik but at service centre we face very worst experience of service.
                                  Cassette player's Belt was also not available at that service centre. and also for just change belt it will charge min Rs.1000/- which includes Rs.600/- service charges. And for Radio's problem he give estimate for Rs. 2500/- or more.

                                  I have bought all my home appliances in 2006 when I moved to new house. It costs about 1.7 lac rupees. In this, 3 items were the products of Philips. All 3 items (Mixie, TV, Music System) were got repaired within the warranty period. They have replaced the Music system after so many complaints and phone calls. They have rectified my TV also. They have changed the motor of my mixie. After the warranty period, the mixie got repaired again. When I went to service centre, they have told me it will take one week time and the charge for the same is Rs. 850. I have agreed and called them after one week. They keep on saying one or other date and finally I went there for taking my mixie back. They havent shown courtesy to call me atleast once for updating me the progress. The man who went inside for bringing my mixer was not coming back for long time. I went and enquired what is happening. Then he was saying he had given me the item already. I have asked him where is the item them. Then he was showing my some philips shaving machine which was kept on the table. I have told him I have given the mixie for repairing and how come this become Shaver. Then he asked me my name because he lost the job card. Finally, I have collected my mixie without repairing. I have wasted my time, money to go there and give the item for repairing. This was happend in the below service centre:

                                  All these complaints happened within 1 year after purchasing. I have purchased my grinder from a local manufacturer about 10 years back, and it is working without any trouble even now. This international brand is giving me a mental torture. One of my friends Music system, which was given for servicing 2 years back is not ready even now. They are moving to consumer court now. Philips Product is cheap and service is pathetic.
                                  I BOUGHT A PHILIPS GO GEAR SA 2825 ON 18 NOVEMBER, 2008 PRICED Rs 2999/- AFTER 15 DAYS I FOUND A PROBLEM INTO THE VOLUME BUTTON AS IT BECAME VERY VERY HARD THAN OTHER BUTTON. I TOOK IT TO AN AUTHORISED SERVICE CENTRE ON 18 DECEMBER, 2008. ON 8 JANUARY, 2009 THEY CALLED BACK AS IT REPLACED. I WENT AND DISCOVER THE SET UNREPLACED WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY CONFESSED THEIR MISTAKE AND TOOK IT BACK AND PROMISED ME TO REPLACE WITHIN A WEEK MAKING THE CASE AS EMERGENCY. ANOTHER THREE WEEKS PASSED AND TILL 29 JANUARY I HAVE NOT GET ANY POSITIVE NEWS FROM.
                                  I CALLED TO CUSTOMER CARE OF PHILIPS, THEY GAVE ME A NUMBER TO CALL BUT WHEN I DIAL THE NUMBER I CAME TO KNOW THE NUMBER DOSEN'T EXISTS.

                                  I AM VERY MUCH FRUSTRATED ABOUT THE TOTAL PHILIPS AND THEIR SERVICES.
                                  WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW? PLEASE HELP ME.

                                  I gave a compliant in the month of Begining of December 2012 about my T.V. remote is not working. One Person came after 2 days. His Name is Mr. Anand([protected]). He came next week also and spend more than one hour in my home to service the remote. And finally he taken the remote with him. Till time he not communicating with us. we only communication with him and normally he will tell i will bring tommorrow or evening. Finnally he gave his supervisor no. i.e. Mr.Santhosh Kumar ([protected]), while contacting with him also same thing he ordered but not received the material. For a remote taking around 2 months. This is the customer service saying by Mr.Santhosh Kumar.

                                      I'm a customer of Philips for last 10 years. Recently, I bought an MP4 Player, which had some software problem with it. I gave the product to one of your Service Center (New 28,old#38, shanmugam road, west tambaram, Chennai - 600 045) on 08-Jan-08.

                                      When, I went there the people told me that their system got some problem and adviced me to visit the Adyar branch, so that the problem can be resolved in one hour. Since, I was not in a position to go there, I told them that I don't have an issue if you give me in delay.

                                      But unfortunately, after so many phone calls to the service center since 12-Jan-07, my product is not looked after and everytime they get an excuse of two days which is totally unfair for an customer.

                                      I don't think, even for manufacturing a MP4 player would not such a longtime. Today (29-Jan-07), its been 20 days and my product is not yet serviced and delivered to me.

                                      I would request you to look into this issue and resolve it ASAP. I need a reply or a call back with in 48 hours by email or call on the below contact details. Else, I need to take this matter further to Mr. Viswanathan Seshan, Country Manager.

                                      I have purchased philips MP3 PLAYER Model No. SA3125 from authorized dealer on May 2007 and on 20th feb it has got dead and I taken to authorized philips service centre at Ganga Nagar, Bangalore, Karnataka on 21/02/2008. After checking they have told board has to be replaced and it will take 10 days. I agreed and after 10 ten days when I approach them I got the replay not yet replaced 2 days is required again, I agreed that but still today (10/03/2008) not yet repaired. They keep saying will take time.

                                      i face the same promplem, you can send written complaint to thier registerd address in India and than follow up or you may go to consumer forum.
                                      i got my MP3 after 8 months when i followed up with philips senior management in india.

                                      i have given my philips music player in the service center held at hyd due to the technical problem and there by the date given from the service center ,when i went there they told still the problem is not cleared and they told me to come there by another time and as above i went to service center four times and finally they told that give money for courier charges, we will courier it to your address and there by i waited for more than three months ,i did not received any courier and when i went there the service center is closed and i found another shop there , and i went to another philips service center in another area to enquire they told that we do not bother about it and we are not to take responsibility and they are not giving proper response ...

                                      I got a Philips Go Gear 4GB Ipod which I bought in 2007. I works wonderful. But, today, I connected that to my desktop computer to organize the playlists at 11 a.m. and it was continuously kept connected till 3:15 pm. During this time, there were 3 times, my computer went auto log off and on. Suddenly, at 3:15 p.m., I got prompted on the computer screen that the ipod is not respond or switched off. When I checked the ipod, it went switched off on its own and since then its not getting on even though I tried so much to switch it on...Please kindly suggest me the solution...I love my ipod a lot and it is the only friend of mine who relieves my day long stress and strain...Please please please kindly help me.

                                      Again had a discussion with a lady for the same on 26th and she confirmed that my call will be addressed in 48 hours from then. Infact i had told them i ll raise this with consumer forum and a reply was given stating it is my wish.
                                      Such big company does not service customers properly and will have to wait for 15 days to get a small work done..

My work order no. 11020919. Model no. SA1VBE04k/97. SR no. MT1B[protected]. They said that will replace within one weak. But now they are not receive my phone and asked me to talk philips customer no. [protected]. But I am not getting any satisfied answer from there also.                                       i got a philips go gearcam 8GB-SA2CAM08K/97 last year around december. it worked properly for some time but then after a few months one day when i connected it to my pc for charging then later when i disconeted it it started to hang and all my files were deleted and when i checked out the settings it noted that internal memory is 0GB and used space is also 0KB.and the device is not getting detected in my computer. please i need help!!! please kindly suggest me a solution...!!

                                        Hi,
                                        The most pathetic service I have ever received is from Philips.
                                        Micro Services, Jogeshwari (East) is an authorised Philips Service Centre.
                                        However they asked me to get the bulky 5.1 Home theatre system to the service centre when it started showing problems.
                                        Now that was still fine.
                                        But they return me the system after 7 days without even touching it.
                                        Later, next month i realise that the problem hasnt been fixed so I call them again.
                                        This time They keep the system for 1 month after which they claim they have fixed it.
                                        As soon as I take the system home, I find the SAME problem exactly the same way.
                                        When I call up, they agree that they didnt do anything. I am still wondering what they did with my system for a month. After that they ask me to call up some other dept and make me slog for 2 more months nearing my end of warranty. Till date, the system is with them and they are saying they are trying to replace the logic board but havent done that for 2 months now.
                                        Can anyone tell me WHAT SHOULD I DO?
                                        should i go to the consumer court?
