I have a saving account in Punjab national Bank, SHAHDARA branch. I submitted the documents and request to close my account (a/c no. ending with 373409) on 7th Jun. I was asked to visit bank on 12th Jun t collect the DD. I told them that as I have shifted to other state I can't come again, and requested for a NEFT transfer. I was denied stating that's not possible, but bank will send the DD to my place trough courier. I had left my corresponding address as required with the branch manager.
Till date I haven't heard back. I called customer care and they suggested to contact the branch. The numbers shared by customer care don't work. The email I'd shared doesn't get any response. Finally I wrote a complaint email on 28th June. Except acknowledge and assurance no action has been taken. Attaching the snapshot of the last email communication.

Complaint marked as Resolved Finally after 2 months I have received the DD and account is closed now.
Punjab National Bank [PNB] customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

as the money was refunded back from Amazon.in but not credited in my account. Refund issued on 26th June.
