I purchased a Pureit auto-fill on Feb 25, 2012 in Pune and had no issues until last month when a crack developed on the bottom of the base chamber and leakage started. I lodged a complaint at Pureit helpline and was assured that it will be taken care within 48 hrs. Surprisingly I did get a call from the local servicing partner the very next day and I was assured that the issue will be fixed as an FOC (Free of Cost) replacement as the piece was in warranty. Nothing happened after this for 2 days when I called back requesting for updates. I was told that the technician would be visiting on the same day whereas he actually visited another 2 days and 5-6 calls later!! Again the same promise was made that the piece is covered in FOC and hence will be replaced.

The situation changed after this. Nobody called me to inform on the status. I ended up calling several times to the technician but never got a clear answer on whether they will fix the issue or not. After a lot of pursuasion, the technician finally admitted that they won't be doing it FOC even though the warranty is valid. He was apparently guided by his boss (the owner of the local distributor) to tell me that since I had been using it for 2-3 months, I only should have done some damage and hence now I have to buy the component from them. I tried to lodge a complain with Pureit on the helpline again and again but they kept redirecting me to the same local service provider.. Finally I gave up and used M seal!!

The cost of replacement wasn't a lot (they asked me to pay around INR 400), I could have easily purchased it but I didn't want to pay to a fradulent company.. Had the warranty period got expired, I would have paid anyway. I am very surprised to see this behavior and never really expecting this treatment when I bought the purifier.

    Hello, my name is Isaac i have purchased PUREIT some time back and recently pure it people have changed the kit with in it (germ kill kit) it worked for few days and now its not purifying i can see dirt and even some green stuff which am not sure of inside the tank (that means after purification process) , i called pureit help line many times but with no resolution to it even i have mailed this issue to pureit but still no response, now its more than a week, i told customer care that i will update this issue on the consumer forum still no resolution to it, so its my honest request to all the readers please never ever think to buy PUREIT coz it will take you hospital with many familiar diseases, these people are showing cheap marketing trick as you know 1 crore S*** , even i thought no company will put this big amount for purifier and thought this would be gud and now i came to know the trick behind it so PLEASE PLEASE DONT PURCHASE THIS PIECE OF S***

      I am Miss. M.Rajeshwari from Chennai.

      Recently My mom bought ‘Pureit Marvella’ in one of the shops at Redhills, Chennai in the name of Madhusudhanan.

      Now that, I wish to bring to your notice that the Appliance which I have brought is not in good condition from day one. I wish to report that the tool has been at fault since the time I bought it.

      The problem identified is leakage of water. Even after reporting it to the shop as well as the service centre many times, no proper response is given from the company.

      I would like the company to either attend the problem immediately or I wish the money to be refunded to me at the earliest. Hope so you will take necessary step regarding the complaint.

      Today on 14th Jul I recieved a message from Pureit that my call has been attended and requested for feedback.
      I WAS SURPRISED WHEN I ASKED AT HOME THAT NO ONE HAS ATTENDED THE COMPLAINT
      I have ordered for a battery replacement of my PureIT C.S [protected]. The manager and the staff of the PUREIT call centre misbehaved with me and my wife and laughed while logging the complain. The order was placed 2 days back and the battery was not replaced as on 1st Feb.Now the manager is telling me that it will require another 1 day to deliver. I cannot tolerate this delay as I have my son 1 year old in my house who require germ free water the most.
      This PUREIT company does not bother to deliver things on time and moreover misbehaving with the customer. Hence I would suggest no customer should purchase any product from them going forward.
      Please take serious action against the manager of the Pune call centre and the staff(name: Vijayendra). Pune call centre no : [protected]

      HUL Pureit Marvella — Systematic fault in Pureit Marvella

      Ever since I have purchased a 'PureIt Marvela', about 8 months ago; there is a recurrent problem of leakage. On the top of that, the after-sales service of the company is miserable. Each time the service guys fix the problem temporarily, but it arrives in a week's time. In fact they say there is a problem in the water supply of my apartment, which causes the machine to leak. I think there is a manufacturing/systemic defect in the machine! The company never disclosed any such red flags at the time of buying, instead promoted the fact that this can be fitted directly to the water (supply) tap. I should be compensated by HUL.

      The service guys have repaired it again. They say it wont leak again. Let's see how long this works. I am keeping fingers crossed. I will update here.

      MARVELLA WATER PURIFIER — DEFECTIVE PRODUCT

      Rajesh from Bangalore sold me the Marvela at Bangalore on August 8, 2011 and I have raised multiple requests for demo. Someone came on August 11, 2011 and installed it but refused to give a demo. The same day the machine started leaking and jug not filling plus tap also leaking. Even after multiple calls to Rajesh, Raghavendra, call centre no one is willing to come and rectify the defective product. I need some action ASAP else will have to go to Consumer Forum Court. Request Nos. are C[protected], C[protected].
      I have purchased a Pureit (Marvella) water purifier on 23/08/2010. But, after few months water leakage problem appears. After lodging complain each time the service personnel assured that he has repaired it thoroughly and it would be OK. But, it reappears after one or two months every time.
      I have lodged at least five complains in last five months regarding the same old problem. I have also requested to replace the set by a new one as it may have some manufacturing defect, in vain.

      On 27 july 2012 i purchased ‘Pureit Marvella’ in one of the shops at Pimpri town,PUNE.

      The problem identified is leakage of water since 4th of Aug 2012 , i made compalnt to pureit online customer helpline 4 times and send almost 10 reminder .

      Everyday their team committing me that today service engineer will attain the complaint but till date no body shows their faces and strange thing is that
      response level is very poor and service engineer is also bluffing to company saying that compalnt is close and giving his feedback to your online helpline .

      Also i am getting sms that problem is close and attained by your service engineer and till date no body has even called me or show their face to me .


      I purchased it only 10 days back and not able to use it due to this reason .



      I would like the company to either attend the problem immediately or I wish the money to be refunded to me at the earliest.
      Hope so you will take necessary step regarding the complaint.

      In spite of several complaints the leaking faulty marvella unit that we have purchased in Bangalore has not been repaired. The woodwork in our kitchen is getting damaged. Very poor service and a very poor quality expensive machine. Kindly sort out this mess immediately.

      sir i purchased pure it marvella one year back, soon after it had leakage problem in its mug area.the same problem is occurred many times. lastly it is happened on 3rd of november.i continuously registered complaint through the help line number four times in two weeks, no technicians turned up till today. first complaint on 3rd nov. second on 5th, 3rd on 7th nov, 4th on 13th, but no technicians willing to attend the problem.but i received the sms from the LM pureit, is YOUR COMPLAINT NO C124601*** HAS BEEN ATTENDED!!!I got this same message four time.how can you send the message with out attending the problem?please explain.i have a request, that your company should not give the contract to such irresponsible companies to customer suffer. bad luckly once i purchased the hindustan products, but i never purchase it again to suffer pr recommend to other .

      Hi,
      I am facing the same problem.
      Every time the service engineer comes repairs it and then within 2 weeks the leakage starts again.
      There are old people in my house and am now worried whether this leakage would cause one of them to slip.I have come to stage that I am planing to replace this purifier with something more sturdy like a Aqua-guard(which we were using earlier and never faced any issues).

      If some one is hearing this, please correct the machine completely (with permanent solution) or refund the money I had wasted in this product.

      It has been just 6 months since I bought it and I am already fed up and afraid of this product.Currently we are not using it and boiling and filtering the water.

        Pure IT is fraud. We ordered Germ Kill Battery from PUREIT in April 2012 along with Jar. They delivered Jar and battery was not delivered. AS per SMS they will provide Battery for free if not delivered within 72 Hours. They simply closed the order without delivering it. We placed couple of order with Pure IT after that. Every time they close the order mentioning address is not correct. If address was not correct how they can deliver jar to our place. They are not interested in delivering battery. Even after 2 months (now June 2012) we have not received battery. This company is not service oriented. We made a big mistake by purchasing Pure IT.

        Roshan Battery Co. — Incorrect Billing

        This is in deep regret to say that despite of my continuous reminder since last one year for disconnection of my broadband service no[protected] it has not yet disconnected due to which the raising of rental billing amount every month, the billing amount has been cumulated. It is to inform you that at present I am not in the position to pay such due amont. So kindly please settle the matter. Your kindness will be highly appreciated.

[protected].they assured me that within 3 days company will deliver the battery to my given address(M/527,Gandhi colony, Faridabad-121001) but none of any executive has neither contacted nor came to change the battery. I have called many a time on helpline No. every time they will assured me that our executive will visit your address. But nobody come till today.Today I have receive a call in the morning from pureit that our executive would come to your address till evening(Person Name Mr. RajKumar Mishra and his contact No. is [protected]) After that I have received another call from pureit executive, he said to that I am not getting your address then I told him the lcation of home but he did not come after that will call him on his no.[protected] but he did not receive the call.


        so pls do the needfull step which is realy required.
        We have purchases Pureit product in july 2009 the germkit battery is now finishes or passed it limit I have booked 4 to 5 times my germkit 2250 capacity of water purifying battery kit of Rs.510 at your customer care toll free no. every time they booked but not revert to us my complain no is [protected] which they have given me only once. I don;t know what to do I am continuously trying your nos but it all waste of my time. I am daily buying water from the market.
        What u have commit before buying product but not fulfill after wards, is this your commitment towards customer? or try to make fool after selling product....how can u solve my problem to this negative attitude of your customer care deparment.

        Pure It — GERMKILL BATTERY

        Dear Concern,

        With respect to the above subject, I requested to change the battery kit on 15.04.2011 after that I have spoke to call center more than 10 times, till date no one bother to come and change the same.

        When I called, each time they promised to send same day or next day. Till now nothing is taken place.

        I feel buying this product is good but service of HLL to customers is very bad in this product.

        I suggest people to think twice before buying this product. My request with company is when you cant serve to customers please stop selling this product instead off trubling the customers.

        we replaced pure it germ kill battery .. & we buyed new one on tuesday. rs825 from sai balaji services vijayawada & service man name jaweed [protected] from that day onward untilnow we can't able to drink water bcoz the water is very yellowish & terrible taste after drinking water we'r getting thoart pain & getting cough & buring in heart. we requested them to come check the battery from tuesday we no drinking water from that day we calling them twice a day to check what is wrong in it but they'r not coming not only that didn't bill for battery also .. dont say onecore challenge try to give the good water to every one

          Hi Iam A.PRAMOD..My no.is [protected] .I am, using pureit for the last 2yrs. last month i ordered new battery kit. After replacing the battery kit my pureit have a leakage in bottom . Several times we complained in the customer care, and they send a person from ( V care service centre..ANNANAGAR) to rectify it. They told that a washer needed and there is no stock of the washer in their service center. we again called them for the service and the customer care not taking the complaints also.           Hindustan Unilever(Pure IT) — pure it leakage

          i have buyed a pureit from hindustan uniliver ,and now there is some leakage from last month.i am complaning about leakage since last 25th september 2009.they say that our executive will visit the house and will repair.but no one comes.last weak too.i complained but no action have been taken.customer care say that within 2 days our executive will visit our house but no one comes.

          Pure it water solutions — Service

          My customer id for Pure it water purifier is [protected]. I had ordered a germ kit more than a month ago. The company has changed the size of one of the parts and now the machine requires some nut to support it, the irony is they have changed the size of the part without producing what they call a base nut.
          Its out of stock since the past one month or more. The worst thing is there call center takes ur complaint and says it would deliever it in two days and then they send u a message that says they couldnt trace your address, I have two pure its at different addressess. Upon asking the service guy, I got to know that they are sending that message to every other customer facing the same problem, the fact is that they dont have base nuts in stock. Its been more than a month. I have to keep buying bisleris despite having a pure it purifier at home, its just a meer space eater at my place since the past month. they talk about 1 crore safety challenge, what about their service.

                  I struggled so much to decide what kind of Purifier to purchase but finally i choose Pureit which is marketed by Unilever, after started using this product i found it is so ease in handling the device and even cleaning procedure.

                  Also i experienced their after sales service which is again fabolous, when i called on their help line for refill booking they told me about thier Puriet promise and after my booking they delivered it on the same day.

                    Very much pleasure to know that one of your customers is getting good support.

                    But very sorry to say this is not true with your majority customers.

                    I have ordered a cartridge 3 weeks back and it was promised to be delivered within 48 hrs (Cochin).

                    I received a call from your Cochin office after three days, saying tht they will take another two days to deliver it.

                    Now this is the third week, nothing has happened yet.

                    The product is one of the best in the market but service is exactly opposite.


                    There is no local contact numbers or address or even there is no place from where I can purchase walking in.

                    I had recommended this product to some of my relatives to, but feeling guilty now.

                    Kindly provide some shop/ office/ dealer address/ phone number from where I can vuy it.

                              I am a user of your PUREIT water filter since the time you have launched the product.

                              This is to bring to your knowledge that the service personnels who visit for the replacement of the Battery kit are not properly educated by your service centre. Every time they come for the replacement I request them to properly wash their hands before they start their work.They do not have the least sense of hygiene. Except for the first time when I got a replacement, they did not bother to do so even though I tell them to do so. This happened again recently on 27.5.2012 They waive it away casually. Water is very sensitive to germs and proper care should be taken before handling the filter. This I have pointed to you earlier also in February last but no action has been taken. It is a shame that Hindustan Unilever do not take care to this major health care side.

                                I had purchased the Pureit water purifier sometime in April, 2010 and onwards replace Hindustan pureit battery germkill kit (can filter 2250 liters of water) at July, 2011 when Auto-Switch off flow of the water and Battery Life Indicator turns fully red (As HUL cliamed).

                                July, 2011 onwards I used more than 3000 liters water and germkill power is exhausted but indicator not showing any warning even not showing any red indication for replacement.

                                I and my family members have stomach upset or other water related attack of diseases using this pureit water.

                                I spoke with customer care executive so many times in between each complain. I told him the entire story so far and requested him to either arrange a replace faulty battery kit or let me speak to someone who has authority at his end who can look into this complaint. Customer care executive always said me for change battary again. If Hindustan Unilever is not able to handle these complaints they can simple stop foolishing the customers. Kindly do some work?

                                hindustan unilever limited/pureit — Regarding the battery kit of water purifier

                                I have purchage the product Pureit whose device ID is RPB[protected] and my customer id is [protected].I have change its battery kit on 16.05.09 which has a minimum water filtering capacity of 1500 liters for a member of 2 family, which approximately comes to six month service, as the company claim, but there is no measuring device to measure how much water is filtered by the device.My complain is that my battery got damaged in 40 days only and now when i complain this to the pureit company, they are not taking any action on it.I complained them on 26th June and they are not giving me any solution.
                                They say that i have to get it replace on my own cost, but when i ask them do they have a gureentee that this time also it will not repeat the same thing, they say they do not know.
                                How many time will i get it replace if their product is not up to the mark, they are not giving me any satisfactory reason why its not working.

                                I am using HLL PUREIT since THREE yearS. whenever the time come for replacing GKB battery kit always

                                    WE PURCHASED PURE IT OF HINDUSTAN LEVER WHICH PROCLAIMS THAT THE WATER WILL BE ABSOLUTELY PURE DEVOID OF ANY BACTERIAL INFECTION OR EXTRANEOUS SUBSTANCES. LAST WEEK, WE FOUND THE WATER COMPARTMENT FULL OF RED ANTS. ON CONTACTING THE COMPANY'S SERVICE PERSONNEL, THEY TRIED TO CONVINCE US THAT SUCH THINGS DO HAPPEN. THIS SEEMS TO BE AN UNACCEPTABLE EXPLANATION. THERE SEEMS TO BE A DESIGN ERROR OR THE PRODUCT DELIVERED TO US IS FAULTY.
                                    YOU ARE REQUESTED TO LOOK INTO THE MATTER & RESOLVE THE SAME.

                                      Hello, I am Bala Subramanian (Customer Id[protected] from Vadavalli in Coimbatore. I am a customer of this product (Pureit) and I think its a very very good doing product for ever of our health. Because I am using Pure It Classic continuously 5 years to till date. When first time its GKB is not working & also lick from chloren tube just I call local CCE Mr.Sathyaraj then he come and short out the problems with in a minutes (30minutes).
                                      Next time when I again facing a problem I call to same CCE after half an hour if possible he comes my home or he send his local LSP (Star Service) for short out my problems.
                                      So, I am very happy to purchase this product and also after purchasing service.

                                        I bought PureIt Marvella in February'12. The purifier started leaking suddenly on 14 May'12 even if the battery indicator is showing white. I lodged a complaint with Hindustan Unilever on the same day and asked the customer care to send the person as soon as possible because of summer days and we were having water shortage. I called four times since then but no one has come to my place to fix the issue. I must say that the customer service of HUL is very bad. They have not addressed the issue in last 48 hours.

                                        Pureit Water(hindustan unilever limited) — Water leakage from the Product (Marvela)

                                        We are using PuritWater(hindustan unilever limited) product,we are using it from past 4months and from that day we are facing water leakage from the product.We are giving compliant and consulted technician is solving problem though we are facing same problem.In past 4 months i gave 4 complaints.Sir you can trace our details by giving my mobile no:[protected] in product web site.Please take certain action against them,i am looking forward getting reply from you.

                                        Pureit Marvella — water leakage / battery replacement

                                        Had lodged an initial complaint on 10 th may 2012 complaint no.C[protected] .After so may phone calls the technician visited my residence and had a look at the machine n commented that the battery needs to be replaced.For replacement of the battery I had to re lodge a complaint.I re lodge a complaint on 15/05/2012 morning complaint number :RFS /1700779. AFTER THIS COMPLAINT WAS LODGE I GOT A MESSAGE STATING THAT IF THE BATTERY IS NOT REPLACED WITHIN 72 HOURS THEN IT WILL BE REPLACE FREE OF COST. SO FAR EVEN AFTER 72 HOURS THE BATTERY IS NOT REPLACED N NEITHER HAVE I RECEIVED ANY REVERT AS TO WHEN THE BATTERY WILL BE REPLACED. TRIED SPEAKING TO THE SENIOR SUPERVISORS ALSO BUT IT SEEMS ITS JUST ANOTHER PHONE CALL FOR THEM.
