This is regarding my complaint about HINDUSTHAN UNILEVER's water purifier PUREIT.
I registered a complaint with customer care (Ph:[protected]) on 05'Oct-2011 and complaint No is :C[protected].
After three days a person had called me on behalf of PUREIT and told that their representative would come to me for attending the complaint but no one have come.
The nextday I recieved a service message from PUREIT, that the complaint has been attended and also asking for a feed back of their service.


Isn't it stupid and ridiculous????
I bought and home, opened Pureaiti in Septmber Chamber water was bad. The Complaint more than 20 times, but I still did not find any Solution. My problem is that neither man nor servise shopper Taking Center is right. pl help me

      Hindustan Unilever Ltd. product DOVE soap costs Rs. 20 for 50 grams while it costs Rs. 38 for 75 grams. HUL being such a reputed company doing such cheap things in India not at all tolerable at all. HUL is taking almost double amount for 75 gms soap whereas it should provide atleast double quantity for double cost. To add worstness to problem today i found that 50 gms pack of DOVE contains only 47gms and not 50 gms. This is just cheating. HUL is making fool of Indian Public. Please take necessary action against HUL.

        I was dealing in food products of International Best Foods Ltd which in 2001 amalgamated with Hindustan Lever Ltd,(now Hindustan Unilever Ltd.-HUL).Hence the merged entity was obliged to replace the damaged food products which they didnt replace inspite of our oral and written communications to them which later on resulted in expired food products.

        That, in November 2004 officials of Food Adulteration Department visited our godown prepared the list of food products damaged and expired and later destroyed it. (copy enclosed)This matter was also communicated to HUL but of no heed. We have been continuously reminded HUL regarding the replacement of food products and the subsequent developments but were not attended to by HUL. We have incurred huge losses till date and want that HUL to indemnify us and we REQUEST INDIAN CONSUMER COMPLAINTS FORUM

        We have received as Full and Final Settlement cheque from Hindustan Unilever Ltd which got bounced on 17/06/09 . We have put so many mails on this to the Co but there is not a single reply from CO.

          I purchased Pure it from Ghaziabad 3 years back.
          Initially it worked satisfactory, but not as good as shown in TV ads.
          Service at Ghaziabad service center was poor. service man takes two to three days to attend service.
          Now I am in Bhiwadi(Rajasthan).I have problem again.This time condition is Worst.
          No body is going to hear.I have mailed to pureit team and two times these guys had send their servive engineer at my place but they are not capable and efficient enough to rectify my problem.
          Problem is still as it is.
          I want my pure it to get Repaired or replaced.

          Hindustan Lever -Pure IT — Worst Service of HUL -Pure IT

          I would strongly recommend not to buy this pureit product and this guys will not bother to service the customer once the device gets sold. I have faced an worst experience for which when i have contacted the customer care for battery replacement they have committed the SLA of 48 hours for replacement but i was continuously following up with them on 5 escalation complaints are raised from past 12 days still this fellows doesn't show any seriousness on customer complaints and they are least bothered to service the customer.
          I have the complaints numbers with[protected]- 785873.which were raised.

          I would strongly suggest the buyers not to go for this pureit product.
          I purchased Pure it from Khandala 2 years back.
          This time condition is Worst.

            200% agreed on the poor service provided by PureIT guys in Pune. I bought the Pureit compact system on 24th September 2011. From the very first the bottom chamber was leaking and i logged a complaint (No.C[protected] on 26th September 2011. They confirmed that within next working day the problem will be rectified. 3 days have passed and i'm still suffering. Till now i have called the call center team 15 times and everytime what i got was assurance and promises. I even asked for the contact number of the local Service Provider so that i can take the purifier myself to the service center and rectify the problem but they don't have a single working number. Absolutely WORTHLESS service by HINDUSTHAN UNILEVER. I never regretted more buying any other product in my life.

              I have been facing same kind of problem with some other ploblems related to same product. I purchased a Pureit Device from M/S G. N. Veriety Stores, Siliguri Thana Road, Near Siliguri Police Station, Siliguri, West Bengal, on 03/04/12. But till date, I have not received any bill. I was informed that sale invoice will be provided by company people but I have not yet received any invoice till date. I have been even given a low priced product rather an outdated product (an introductory product) at current rate, i.e., I have been charged Rs. 1150 for a product with a printed price of Rs 1000. Product is defective also and lying with the shop owner currently for repair. How can company like Hindustan Unilever Ltd sale products in such unorganized
              manner?? How can introductory product can be available with a lower price tag and can be sold at a higher price as normal products are sold at same time??

              Situation where introductory products will be available in market and normal products are also available at higher price the retailers will get a chance to cheat customers and ruin reputation of company. I think company should immediately take action against such dealers, if company is intentionall not doing this to clear scrap stocks, to safegurd their reputation
              and interest of customer.

                After initiating three complaints as below and receiving false promises from a HOD Mr.Manish on promises of receiving the total amount Rs. 2000/- back no one has yet shown up and when contacted Mr.Manish wanted me to narrate the incident again via mail to send it to the finance dept for approval when questioned what he had been doing for 19 full months he gave vague explanations and till date the company is not able to solve the issue.

                I as a customer need to understand the company's ethics and the employ's who as per me are thugs and make a mockery of law and order by delivering false promises in and out.

                Even after submitting the xerox of the purchase invoice with acknowledgement of Mr.Rahul behind the same to Mr.Manish (mob [protected]) I have not received a single call after this from him, I now that I am not wrong on the company's policy that they assume they have grown over and above the law.

                Below is my earlier complain
                After depositing a Pureit dated (20th feb 2010) purchased on (25th Jan 2010) ( bill no IS09/[protected]and regularly complaining on solution or expecting a firm reply from the company I have yet been waiting on the same.
                The last complaint as stated on the 29th Nov 2010 and talking to a senior (Mr.Nitin) with a commitment from from him that my problem will be solved in 4days i received a call and to my disappointment there was a technician named Pradeep who did not even know what he had to visit my house as i had narrated the the process of depositing the unit purchased to the safe water zone at chembur Sandu Garden to Mr.Nitin.
                I totally now believe that the company employees are fraud as I am not the only person to not receive a solution to the complaint made and regularly updating it without any solution as the company is not ready to pay me my money back as I have as per me have been cheated by a bunch of employees where as even after regular complaints the management is turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to the problems faced by people like us.

                I would like some guidance to lodge a strong case against the company on grounds of negligience and fraud against the employees and the management as the team is taking no concern on complaints as they do think and believe why people will waste their time on a petty purchase of Rs.2000/- which the company management also enjoys by making money as this inturn adds to their profits in balance sheets but at the same time the negative publicity will tend them to loose loyal customers in the long run.
                Pl guide me as i would like to get my money back with interest of 10 months and if the court can penalize the company on the same

                    Myself Dr.Himanshu Sharma with Id No.[protected] R/o G-101,Preet Vihar,Delhi-110092.

                    I purchased a 10 liter PURE IT on 19/04/11.At 07/0711 , I ordered a germkill kit for change. Next Day a person named as Vivek with contact No.[protected] came to change the kit.He charge Rs.280 + 30 from me.Next day after installation of germkit,It starts leaking.I again speek to person who had come to change the kit,but he is unable to stop leaking.He keeps on saying me to come this day or that day,in this way he spend almost a month.Then finally,I decided to complaint about it to and do the same on 08/08/11 with complaint No.C[protected].The person on customer care speek me to cheek this problem within two working days.Nobody came till evening 09/08/11.Finally at evening at 09/08/11,I again talk to a person at customer care.He again promised me the same with complaint No.C[protected].One person came and try to resolve the problem,but not succeed.He asked about the bill for the changed kit.Previous person has not given me any bill against the ordered germkill kit.I replied that I have no bill as not been provided. Then He asked for 50 rupees as labour charge,I denied as my PURE IT is in warranty period & also I have not been told by customer care regarding the labour charge.He said that He can't do anything in that case, I have to show the bill.Then I asked him for the solution he said that I have to buy a fresh germkill kit , If I buy form him he can give me on lesser price than customer care.I replied why should I buy although I have bought already.He went Away without doing anything.Then I called upon for the previous person Vivek With No. [protected].I asked him for bill,But he again make fool of me saying that He will came on that day or this day.Then again On 21/08/11,I called on customer care With Complaint No. C[protected].They narrated the same story as usual of resolving the problem in two working days.after three days ,One person called me to ask about the bill.I replied that I don't have the bill.He said I[censored] have the bill only then i can do anything.Then I again called at customer care on 04/09/11 with complaint No.C[protected] for my problem.They narrated the same story of resolving in two Working days.Nobody came up.Then I again called at customer care on 08/09/11 With complaint No.C[protected] & also talked to Tl Mr.Ashwin.He narrated the same story of resolving in two Working days.Nobody came up.Then I again called at customer care on 11/09/11 with complaint No.C[protected] for my problem.They narrated the same story of resolving in two Working days.Nobody came up.

                    What Should I do Now?
                    Should I repeat the same story of calling at customer care?
                    Should I purchase the germkill kit form again because one person from PURE IT makes fool of me by not providing me the bill for previous kit and another is indirectly forcing me to purchase it from him as i have taken the bill of previous bill?
                    have i committed a very intense crime of buying the PURE IT ?
                    Is this should be the behavior of a renowned organisation like Hindustan lever?
                    Should I go to Consumer Court?

                      Till date I have not get any answer from HLL about my problem. This is the last warning for them to solve the problem within a week. After that they will get a legal notice from me.

                      I have complaint against Hindustan lever product -PUREIT- water purifier.
                      I purchase this product on dated 10th dec 2010 Mr Nitin sales executive committed regarding sales & service facility on dt.9th.dec-2010 that time they suggested after using 1500.liter water then you have only change the filter not whole kit. And one more interesting commitment given by Mr Nitin that he will PROVIDE LIFE TIME KIT to us till we are waiting for above said kit.
                      After 3 month we have only used approximate 500 litre water then we continuously approach to Mr Nitin by phone but no response till 13h april .then same day i lunch complaint on mumbai sales and service dept. till date nobody has attended this complaint. Then raise the second complaint on 27th April. Second day on 28th April one service people came and replace the whole kit insist of filter and they have charge Rs 580. And this technical person said after using 1500 Liter water all 3 spare must be dead .
                      On 30th April i contact to Mr Bhagwan ( territory off)regarding complaint he committed that he will solve the problem within 24 hours but till date problem is running he has given fake commitment. And no result comes out .
                      29th April we have contact to Mr Pratik soni but he has not given answer on mobile. On 4th June personally Mr Pratik Soni meet that time he remind me i not pick your mobile on 29th April because he was driving a vehicle. Please Imagine from 29th April to 4th June where is Mr Pratik Soni?...
                      21st June we have contact to Mr Javed ( Cust care) and on 22nd june he has given appointment for solving this problem at ahmedabad on 25th june but till date where is Mr Javed Again fake commitment given by him.
                      I do not understand such a multinational company HLL is spoiling the IMAGE into the market for by selling a product of Rs 3200/- only.( Negligible amount ).
                      Since from 4th june we are not using This machine. Our request to pehradhar customer cell to solve our problem early and intimate to M/s Hindustan Lever Concern department to refund our money because we do not continue with HLL .... .If we will not get satisfactory result shortly then we go for next step to civil court and all expense recover from HLL.

                        We are drinking the pure water from your company's water purifier, but
                        it is so problematic we had no idea. The battery was red yesterday at
                        10 AM, we contacted the local dealer (M/S Nanak Enterprises) to supply
                        the battery as early as possible as the purifier got stopped totally.
                        A drop of water could not purified from it. But now, it is today 02-00
                        PM your dealer could not arrange to change the battery at all. Now, it
                        is very unfortunate that for a Company like you, can not take the
                        responsibility to serve such persons like us and in electronic media
                        you are broadcasting some big dialog. Some of your dealers and
                        distributors like this Siliguri in West Bengal can not promise to give
                        us the service what you are asking for. We contacted the person named
                        Mr. (contact no.[protected] ) who said that we can complain wherever we
                        want. It is very much unsatisfactory from your side and now we are
                        thinking to set for another company's purifier instead of your
                        purifier. It is also stated that we are using the purifier in our
                        State Govt. office also and drink water by ten staffs and officers.
                        It is now in your court. You may resolve the problem as early as
                        possible and give us the opportunity to drink the puriest water as we
                        drank earlier.

                        Hindustan Unilever Ltd Pure it — change of battery

                        I Have been requesting for changing the battery in the Pure - it water filter. I called the service engineer for more than two weeks, he is telling that battery will be supplied within three days but he didn't turn up.


                        We now repent for having purchased this product of Hindustan Lever Limited, which has a very very bad service back-up team.
                        This attitude of the engineer is totally ...totally frustating.

                        I would like to inform that whosoever wants to buy this product of HLL, pls dont go by the company name. You will be buying peace if you dont venture to buy.
                        the service of hindustan unilevear is so poor.I can't saggest to any one buy a hindustan purifier of Hindustan Unileaver.Becasuse i suffer a problem from last two months.The sale team of Hindustan Leaver is very Un educated & misbehaviour.They can, t tgive response their customer.Ipurchased a purifier from The sale team name of [pursom is mr.Ravi Panday His Mo.No is[protected].My battery was diffective in just 3 months.My PurI was Diffective When I purchased it.But No Response was given to me by the Sales team Members.I think I summited a Case on Consumer Court Against Uni Lever. my Puri ID is.[protected]

                            I have registered a Request for new battery on 16th July-2011 and i got it on 18th July. I purchased your big battery worth rs 550. Earlier a use to atke battery of Rs350 and it runs for 3 months. after three months i use to take new battery. This time your team suggested me go for big battery, he suggested that based on your history it will run 6 months approximately. I accepetd and purchased it. But i surprised after one month only it again discharged and shown me red signal and stopped working. I called at customer care and registered my complaint on 29th August with complaint number [protected], asked, why it happen. Then your execuative came to check the reason and he said he will discuss with his senior and will revert back in next day only. that why it happens. no reply from your side. Then again called on 31st and got new complaint number [protected]. But again no respone. Then again called and registered the complaint, they have again given me new complaint number [protected] on 02nd September. Till today there is no response. From 28th August my pure it is not working. I spent more money for betterment. But got harrasment. No result form yourside.

                            Pure It — microfibre mesh and battery not replaced

                            Hello

                            I am calling the company's call centre ([protected]) for the last one month and every time their call centre executives are committing that within 3 working days it will be replaced. It is being a month now and still it is not being replaced. Couple of days back the matter is being escalated and the escalation manager has spoken with me and communicated that she will call me and cofirm the time of the visit of the technician. But after that she never called back. Request for your intervention or advise that what is needed to be done.

                              I am a customer of pureit & had buy a pureit the last year dt 20/12/2008.

                              Each and every year I am facing lots of problem. In this year I am running behind still from 29.7.2011. My new battery kit had installed on 27.7.2011 and still I am registered the complaints from 29.7.2011 regarding the installed new battery kit shows red alert button. Today is 2.9.2011 now its shows the battery need to installed new one. How its possible???? From more than a month no one had given me any good service. Or I can say Pure IT has given me very valuable and good service.

                              Please note my ref. nos. C[protected] dt. 29.7.11, next complaint no. is C[protected] dt. 2.8.11, another complaint no. C[protected] dt. 3.8.11, on 4.8.11 Ms. Kiran has assured that today the calls must be attend so she wont given me any reference no. another reference no. C[protected] dt. 5.8.11 then after a long period again I follow up on 25.8.11 because we are not in town. The reference no. is C[protected] dt. 25.8.11 , every time customer care given me new reference no. I PUREIT work very sincerely the another no. is C[protected] dt. 2.9.11
                              I must HATTS OFF your good and valuable service. KEEP IT UP. Why PUREIT challenge for 1 CRORE SAFETY CHALLENGE.

                              i am really very sorry to say i had a very bad and negative experience with PureIT Customer Support in regards logged a complaint wont take any action.
                              After that lots of follow up regularly as i was not getting sensible answers & never find any respose from the customer care regarding the logged REFERENCE NO. and never find why no one take it in seriously, all of them think it just a joke.

                              Now i am running behind the PUREIT and although you dont have any head office we have only option to call dirty customer care.

                              At this time if i didn't get any response and nobody help me out to giving me better solution then file case against PUREIT just because of your valuable & good service.
                              In all the years I've ever dealt with technical customer service, I would have to say that PUREIT is the worst!

                              Despite repeated reminders, I have not had any response OR any solution from the PUREIT. I would appreciate your help in resolving this issue.

                              At this time, I am very displeased and unsatisfied with PUREIT Support. Though I am upset, I hope we can work together to change that or else pls take back your product (PUREIT) from my home.

                              PATHETIC SERVICES

                              I think that Hindustan Unilever workers have only one work that they just sell the machine and after that they don't bother whether the customer is satisfied or not /PROBLEM RESOLVED OR NOT.
                              I think these branded products company just made their own rules and no body is there to take relevant actions against them.

                              Please elaborate day by day i raise my phone bills because of regular follow up. everyday. SO, WHERE IS THE COST CUTTING???? PUREIT WONT GIVES ME ANY SAFETY AND SAVE MONEY?????????

                                  On 27th August 2011 i have purchased a Pureit Compact Water Purifier worth Rs 1000 and i have

                                  got a Scratch card With it. After Scratching it i found that this Pureit is free and if i

                                  have paid any money to the retailer he will immediately return the Maximum MRP of the

                                  product. After Showing this filled Coupon.
                                  My retailer said company don't pay him anything so he will not pay to me. He said Company

                                  is not mad that they will distribute it for free. Now my Question is if Company is not

                                  Paying for this Coupon Why they are just saying this for marketing Purpose, It should be

                                  either close or Company Should pay me for it. There are lot of Competitor available in

                                  market, Even Tata Swaksh is Available for Rs 900, Why Hindustan Unilever is doing such cheap

                                  Advertise if they don't want to build faith with their customer.
                                  I have tried Interacting With Pureit Customer Service so many times, Every time they said they

                                  are escalating the case and So many times i spoke with their Supervisor and So many times

                                  they commit me that they will send their Pureit Agent who will resolve this issue. But No one

                                  came yet and i have now more than Rs 200 bill by Calling Paid Customer Service.

                                  So Guys Conclusion is this Hindustan Unilever has Bring this wrong Advertisement just for the

                                  Selling Purpose and Stop Purchasing it. I am Also forwarding this case to Consumer forum for

                                  all possible Legal Action.

                                    I have bought a pure-it classic around 6 m ago, soon after 4 m it starts giving colored water. we contacted the customer care regarding this and they said that the expert will come to us in 24hrs. no one
                                    came. Again i called after 3 days they replied the same and promised that someone will definitely come now but no one came. This happened around 6 times over a period of 2 months but no one came so finally we packed the kit and i myself threw it into dump and i promised to myself that i will never ever but any of there products. I even contacted an advocate regarding this to file a complaint in consumer court but to there luck i lost the warranty card and slip.
                                    So my personal advice to everyone planning to but a filter buy it but don't expect them to take care of you once something happens. these guys can sell can even come when your battery needs replacement but don't expect them to visit you regarding any complaint for which they are not getting anything

                                    Pure It — Pathetic after sale service

                                    I called pureit helpline to replace my pureit germ kill battery after 8 months from the date of purchase. They lodged the complaint and said that it will be replaced with in 3 days, BUT nobody turned up. afte r3 days i again called & the customer service agent told me that the complaint has been forwared and it will be done soon, BUT still after 3 more days no body turned up, PURE it customer service is PETHATIC. think 100 times before purchasing the product guys. The product is too good, BUt the after sale service is awefull. I got my pureit germkill battery replaced after 11 days. The call center agents of pureit are also not at all professional. they never put the customer on proper hold while grabing the information. Please rase your standard HINDUSTAN UNILIVER otherwise ur name will be ruined in society.

                                    i am using water purifier of purit from last one year, but the afer sales services provided by the company was not satisfactory. i booked battery on 25th oct 2010 it is assured on the help line that the same will be delivered with in one working day. the next day customer care expert visit my home but instead of providing battery & kit he charge Rs. 100/- as service charges and gave the receipt which is having no. printed receipt no. on it to my mom. this is not the first time. we all togeth 20 persons booked the pure it purifier from the company & all of them are not satisfied with the services. my customer id. is [protected].

                                      Dear Sir/Madam,
                                      I am from Pune, have always appreciated the marketing efforts that HUL (formerly HLL) has made to make its products highly acceptable and strongly loved brands for the society. I recently came across the Pureit 1 Crore Safety Challenge on TV and was thrilled to see it.
                                      I am a ‘Tata Swach’ water purifier user since March 2010 and have been fully convinced with the performance of the water purifier. This motivated me to take the Pureit 1 Cr challenge especially since I saw the new campaign on TV “Unclaimed for 2 years”.
                                      However, on visiting the website http://www.pureitwater.com/IN/, I found to my dismay that I cannot participate to claim Rs 1 crore as I had made the purchase in March 2010. The conditions put in mention that the consumer has to purchase the unit on or before 31st December 2009.
                                      In my opinion this is completely misleading the consumers and I would request for an explanation on the application criteria (purchase on or before 31st December 2009) and the airing of the challenge on TV in July 2011.
                                      If the challenge is being run in the month of July’2011 and would continue till Mar’2012 why is the condition of brand presence or advertising before Dec’2009 being put in?
                                      Request you to kindly clarify this doubt and re-establish the high image of your esteemed company in this consumer’s mind.

                                      Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) agrees to pay Rs 1 crore to any claimant who can bring to it any Indian commercially manufactured and marketed in-home drinking water treatment unit (water purifier) which, after passing through the defined process of the Challenge, and under these terms and conditions, has all the features specified below, which HUL believes only the Pureit water purifier has:

                                      • Meets USA's EPA stringent germ kill criteria. (For safe drinking water, USA's EPA germ kill criteria recommends log 6, log 4, and log 3 reduction of harmful bacteria, viruses & disinfectant resistant parasites respectively. This includes testing water to remove one crore viruses in every liter of water)


                                      I agree that my in-home water purifier has this feature

                                      • Has an ‘Auto Switch-off’ mechanism. This mechanism automatically shuts off the flow of water when the germ kill power of its consumables is over and needs replacement to prevent drinking of any unsafe water.


                                      I agree that my in-home water purifier has this feature

                                      • The ability to work all the time, without using any electricity or requiring a running tap water connection.

                                      Yes, I confirm that my in-home water purifier has ALL the above 3 safety features



                                      However, post this, comes the terms and conditions section, which to my surprise clearly creates differentiation not in terms of the unique features of Pureit vis-à-vis its competitors but on time or area of launch or advertising. For example:-
                                      “Any in-home water purifier offered in response to this challenge must be commercially sold in at least 5 cities with population of 1 million and above in India, on or before December 31, 2009, and continues to be sold during the period of this challenge. The product should also have been regularly advertised on national and regional TV during the six month period ending December 31, 2009. Television Audience Measurement (TAM) data shall be adopted as the basis for determining period and regularity of advertisements. The advertisement shall be specific to the claimants purifier under challenge and represent the above three features attached to the purifier.”
