We purchased 'Hindustan Unilever product 'pureit water purifier' on 02.08.2008 for rs.1800 from Jalaram Agency at Kandivli west in Mumbai.For the past six months,we have been noticing green color algae inside the purified water chamber for which technicians have attended each time we complained and cleaned up the algae with some chemicals charging 50 rupees for each visit.During the technician's visit before last we asked for the reason of algae formation and we were told that it was due to yhe purifier exposure to sun light! We covered the purifier exterior by black polythene to avoid sun light and still algae formation was there.We complained on 18.06.2011 (complaint no.C[protected] and technician cleaned it with chemical after charging rupees 50.After the technician left,we noticed that algae was not removed completely,hence,we complained again on 19.06.'11(complaint no.C[protected],but no one came.We complained again on 21.06.'11,no one came. We complained again on 24.06.2011(no.C[protected] but no one visited to resolve the problem. I complained again today,i.e. on 25.06.2011 and was assured twice that a technician would visit today before 8 p.m. but till 6 p.m. noone has visited! This algae mixed water can be very harmful to human life if consumed,hence,I request you to kindly do the needful to resolve this problem permanently by taking away the product and refund the purchase price so that I can buy some other better produt.

Pureit Water Purifier — will fire a case in consumer forum against your company

I purchased a Pure It water filter in November 2008, since then I got the component repaired/replaced 4 times (last service was on 24/07/2009 by DIKSHA ENTERPRISES-LUCKNOW changed KKB + MFM parts) after paying Rs 300+ each time. But the filter gives not pure water. And the family member remains ill by loose motion, stomach problems etc.

Two days back I complained this to you but no got any reply. If you are not responsible for customer feedback then why people should by your product. This a last Email to you, then I will register a case in consumer forum against your company.

Please inform me if you are doing something for my complaint.

Pureit Water Purifier — blackmailing

I have ordered to replace a battery kit. Last time also, in the month of April 2009, I had problems with them. My routine morning schedule was to call them and loose my peace. I now regret buying it. Even this time, I had placed an order on 10th September 09. And today morning I have given my peace of mind.

And in the afternoon they have come and installed a bigger capacity kit. This is a new strategy they have adopted is that they are selling bigger kit which cost over Rs. 500/- and this does not work the full capacity as they claim. This is nothing but a sales Gimmick. They say the regular kit (Rs. 315/-) is not available and if you want you have to pay more for the bigger kit. Even in my last use too they have blackmailed me saying the regular kit is not available.

I hope at least now their After Sales should be improve and take care of its customer or else even now customers will not buy any of their products reading these comments.

    Hi,

    This is with respect to pathetic service that HUL, the big brand provides for its pure it. I have called for the germ kill kit on 14/06/2011 and specifically asked them to send the technician before 12 in the morning or on saturday. Nothing happend till i registerd a complaint on 21/06/2011. On 22/06/2011 the technician called me at 1.30 pm saying he's standing below my building. Since we are working professionals I told him that I am in the office and wont be home till 8 so come later. But he never called or followed up on that. Neither company bothered to find out about the complaint. The company just has a brand name and when it comes to service its pathetic. I feel frustrated that I bought this from HUL...

    Could anyone please look into this complaint and send the technician at my place on Saturday 24/06/2011?

      I am existing customer of hindustan unilever pure it water purifier as i am using from last one year.After purchasing it for some time the service was very good but as i odered the germ kill battery after six months the customer care person told me that i will get the battery in next 24 hours as i was expecting it in 24 hours ther was no response for next 8 days i called the customer care 3/4 times but they were just saying that i will get in 1/2 days but it didnt happen that way.At last the concerned person came after 8 days.He did the fitting for some time water was coming but suddenly after 2 days it stopped again i have to call the customer care and again the person came after 3 days he did something and said that it wont happen next time but again after 1 day it stopped.The next day someone called me from customer care to know whether i was satisfied when i told them the problem i am facing they said that my problem will be attended but again there was no response till date.So i have to regularly clean the filter.After sales service of hindustan unilever pure it is pathetic i will not recommend anyone to buy pure it

        Hi,

        I've ordered a germ kill kit of PURE IT water purifier around 20 days back. Till date, i haven't received it. I've called PURE IT customer care for more than 4 times to order Germ Kill kit and they were hopeless. They were telling that they don't have an active dealer in Kondwa Budruk (Pin: 411048) area.
        Now, tell me whom do i need to contact or escalate this issue? Do i need to simply scrap the current purifier and go for a reliable one like TATA???

              The company claims that the battery indicator on the Pureit Water Purifier turns red to prompt change of Battery. It also claims, that the battery turns off if the indicator shows complete red. In our pureit, there was no indication until we came to know about its water contamination through taste. The battery still shows full while.

              I called the helpline number. No response has been there except for false assurances. Even there salesman did not come on the appointed time saying that there is only one order in your locality, so I cannot come.

                I purchased aPureit from raebareli in last[protected].Kit changed after two and half month.Second time kit changed in October2010and third time it was changed in 31-march-2011.After two and half it was not indicating red signal so I made a comp. to custmer care on[protected].A person came from Pureit and told that the clorine sukh gai hai.I could not understand this type of problemcan create when a new.kit was changed by genuine distributer.Pureit gave a message on mob. that against C11348774 comp. no. reply feedback ser-1 for satisfaction and ser-0 for unsatisfaction.I replied for SER-0.Another message came from your side that comp.noC[protected] you could trace my house.What is this? You will work like this.This is a cheating I was aduplicate kit.Pl solve mr problem.....THANKS Rahul Tiwari Raebarili

                  On the date of purchasing of Pure it, Every 2 months I have forced to procure the battery on payment. Kindly arrange to replace original battery on free cost. So many times the battery was replaced on payment but on free replacement no receipt was given even after my request. I was told that no receipt will be issued, it shows that the battery is replaced only duplicate material. Kindly enquiry the matter and arrange for free replace. If the same problem regularly comes, I have no alternative except to return the material to your firm. This will be spoil the reputation of yr firm. Hope u will look into the matter and arrange for free replacement being you are reputed organisation. Awaiting yr reply soon.. Further, it is also mention here that no so many times I approached to customer care, but no response , it shows that effiency of your firm.
                  I have no alternative except bring out the same to many peoples.

                          Hello every one I am Sasi Kumar and i would like to bring notice to you guys that, NEVER GO FOR Hindustan Unilever's PURE IT water purifier. They have one of the worst customer support in "Pure IT" and possibly also in their other product i think, I have been using Pure It for Last 3 yrs and every time when i need to change germ kill pack i have to call them literally 10 -20 times in a week and then they will show up after some 10 Days. Also my product was leaking from sides for more than a year and have complained but nothing happened finally sellotape gave me peace.

                          Now it has gone even bad it has been almost more than 1 month and still they have not shown up i have called at least 15 times and they will tell "surely we will send you soon sir" nothing happens , My germ kill booking no is 66443 as told during booking for it on my 3rd booking in a 2 week always they would tell the call was closed dont know why. I chosen it due to the price and REPUTATION of HLL and i paid for that now i feel i should have gone to better product. Beware Guys.

                          Bye Bye HUL and PURE IT i am fed up.

                            I have purchased a Pure It (water purifying system) from hindustan uniliver. I have reqested them for the replacement of the Germ Kill Battery Kit approx 10 days back. Request Number RFS/454028.
                            But still I am spending an hour daily in reminding them. I have registered a complaint as well.I have a baby and its very difficult to manage with the tap water. Everytime I call, customer care people feel sorry & use to assure me that the Kit will be replaced in "NEXT 48 HOURS".

                            I need to know whether the germ kill battery kit is available in any other stores so that i can buy them without having to wait for the so called customer service from HUL.

                              I had purchased Pureit compact from M/s Sampoorna Super Market – OU Colony Gachebowli on 2nd June,

                              The very first time that I filled it with water the compact carbon trap started eroding and filled up the container with black carbon particles.

                              I cleaned up the first stage container and again filled it with water, this too was full of carbon particles, every time I pour water in the container the compact carbon trap gets eroded, I realized that this is a manufacturing defect and called up Pureit help line, was given a complaint number C[protected].

                              On 4th June 2011 I received a message at around 9.30 pm that they were unable to locate the address where as in reality the service personnel had not even bothered to call up and check.

                              Meanwhile I got in touch with M/s Sampoorna and in turn he called up one Mr Deepak – Team Leader, sales on mobile number[protected] and he promised me all that he could do, he deputed a person Naresh having mobile number[protected] and Naresh came to my residence on 5th June 2011, Sunday to check it up, although accepting that the compact carbon trap had a problem he cleaned up the system and promised to help.

                              On 6th one Mr Rakesh or Rajesh having a mobile number[protected] came to my residence, checked it and questioned on our decision to buy pureit compact, he told that this model has problems and we should have purchased pureit classic. He once again cleaned up the system in spite of being told by my wife that a person had already cleaned it the previous day and the carbon trap is defective, his attitude was quite rude and unhelpful. He questioned her asking that how will anyone else come and that too on a Sunday, then he suggested to her to buy a new battery kit and replace, I fail to realize his arrogance & attitude problem.

                              I called him up to ask for a solution to which he started questioning me on buying pureit compact, I asked him that if this particular model has a problem then why is the company selling it? I told him that being arrogant will not help and that I can approach the consumer court for damages, to which he replied that he will see how I have pureit in my home, probably he meant that I will not get any service from his office located at Attapur area that is supposed to cover my address.



                              If the company’s own service personnel claim that the device has a problem then the company is cheating the public by selling it and not providing support, employing people who are so arrogant.



                              I had called up Deepak again and updated him about this shoddy behavior, he was apologetic but since he is in sales I guess he cannot do much, I wish people like him were in customer support / service. I have come across numerous complaints on the web and fail to understand why Hindustan Unilever does not realize that it is dealing in a product of day to day use, people purchase a water filter to protect themselves, time is of essence since they will not have any other product to fall back upon.



                              I have included the photos of the defective compact carbon trap, the erosion is visible, I would like Hindustan Unilever to give me a reason as to why I should not initiate a complaint in a consumer court for fraud / harassment and inferior service.


                              I expect an apology and immediate replacement of the compact carbon trap, as per the service personnel's comment pureit compact is a sub-standard product, I would appreciate if Pureit Compact is replaced with Pureit Classic and difference in price charged.


                              It had been a bad experience with Pureit, I would definitely not recommend it to anyone.

                              I am also facing same problem, water from carbon trap is not running down fast it is taking too much time.
                              I'm too having the same problem and filter not working after one week from purchase

                                Have ordered a Germkill Kit for Pureit, MARVELLA Model on 31st May 2011. Until date no response from Pureit Team. Even after calling their helpline[protected] continuously for the past 7 days no action been taken from their end. (Complaint Number[protected]

                                I have experienced the worst kind of customer service with them and suggest any of the customer for not to go for PUREIT product as after sales service is the worst of it kind and you will be spoiling your health only.

                                Using their trend even I can bet for 1 crore that when ever you call their customer service for complaint they doesn't know anything other than telling "SORRY" and "As soon as Possible". Doesn't have any basic courtesy also but use to cut the line in between the calls.

                                When you log the complaint in their website also doesn't turn any response. Actually I do not want to use filthy language here and want to be decent.. to that extent i got disappointment.

                                SO AS A MUCH WORRIED CUSTOMER, LET ME TRY OTHER NOT TO SUFFER WITH "PUREIT PORDUCTS". Please spread whoever read this and save others.

                                  MY name is Yogesh joshi.I bought Pureit water purifier on 24th/04/2011.i have complained 8 times to customer care.with following complained id.

                                  3- C[protected]
                                  two times technician came and repaired it they r not able to fixed the problem.now m tired of calling and complaining this issue to them.its a kind of neglegency of cusomers complains.
                                  if they cant fix the problem then why they are giving 1 crore safety challenge.this wil be the last time i will use hindustan unilever product and will not recommened any one to buy it....

                                    Dear Customer Support,

                                    The complaint is regarding the replacement of Battery of Pureit Water purifier(Model: Classic). The battery turned red completely and needed replacement. We have called the pureit dealers at Palakkad and asked for replacement in September 2010. They said that our place comes under the dealer at Manjeri (Malappuram district-Kerala) and asked to contact them. When we contacted the Manjeri Dealer they said that the service of our pureit comes under palakkad dealer as we are residents of Palakkad district. We have complained and contacted the two dealers many times. But none of them came and did the battery replacement.

                                    Make arrangement for the replacement of battery and provide timely service to the customers. You are only concerned with selling items giving so much advertisements and offering services, but the after sales service is completely pathetic. You have offered replacement of battery within 2 days but for the last 8-9months we are contacting the dealers of our region for this purpose, but in vail. The contact details are provided below:

                                      On 30.05.2011, I purchased one water purifier of Pure It brand under the misleading by salesman, Mr. Mohd. Naseem. (M-[protected]) of that company and right from the installation it is not working and after a complaint to shopkeeper, from which i purchased, he and salesman are not attending the call realising the call concerned to me and i am a worst suffere of this product and seeking a proper against such person like Dacoit.

                                        Urgently wanted battery of Water Purifier on 01.06.2011 as drinking water cannot be compromised. Till today ( 3.6.2011) no one turned up.

                                        Also when called Customer Service at [protected] at 5.20 p.m. ; the male person at the service centre carefreely & boldly told that he cannot do anything about it.

                                        Is this the helpline to be dealt with ?

                                        Need immediate step against this or else let PUREIT- HINDUSTAN UNILEVER declare the customers have to depend on the dealers/ customer service persons mercy.
