Dear Sir,

This is complaint related to bad services as well as false commitment by Pure it customer care. As I had booked my pure it battery kit on 18 March, 2011 till then I had called at least 6-7 times on their customer care nos. i.e. [protected] & [protected] & every time they make a new complaint & give assurance that battery kit will be delivered till evening everyday and problem will be resolved within 72 hrs. Even they are not taking any action against their executives. This is second time I am facing this problem with PURE IT people.

I request you to kindly guide me what to do & request you to kindly take an action against Hindustan Unilever if possible

HUL Pureit — Horrible customer service and committment

I am using this Pureit purifier for last 3 months. The product may be good no doubts, but the customer service is horrendous. I had booked one battery kit on 30 June 2008, but till date nobody turned up. Forget about receiving any calls regarding the service, after calling and following up on a daily basis for the last 5 days, I still haven't got the service. In fact yesterday the senior executive promised that the task would be done by 1.00 pm today and no one still called or showed up. Is this customer service? When enquired in this regard and spoken to the senior executive (to call center [protected]) who talked about commitment of calling back in 5 minutes (never called) and was further still uncertain when the service guy would arrive at our place! Having described how the issue was escalated to higher authorities and would be dealt with topmost priority, I still haven't got the service. Quiet unfortunately these HLL fellows have more enthusiasm during marketing and absolutely zero during maintenance and customer service. They should be taken to the consumer court!

Pure it — WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

We ordered for battery replacement 1 months back, but still no response from the Company. We have made more than 50 calls to the service centre. it really frustrating.we are really regretting to have purchased pure it. we never expected HINDUSTAN LEVER to have such a poor service. it is a shame, will the company compansate us for all the water borne diseases we are facing now.
FIRST SATISFY THE EXISTING CUSTOMER THEN GO IN FOR NEW CUSTOMERS ELSE STOP UR ADS TO FOOL NEW CUSTOMERS

Hindustan Unilever Pure It — Worst customer service

We have requested to change the battery but no one has come yet to replace it even after 45 days.
i had wrongly purchased and using this option
bcz no response and care from pureit customer care
i have remined last 2 months to customer care for replace the renewal kit
pls consider we have used for the purpose of pure water
if the delay continue how to survive the life wiht un purefied water
pls consider the responsible person and arrange the replacement the kit
if this condition continue i will enter with legal level
Pathetic service from HL. As other people said HL only focussed to sell the product, not the post delivery services.

Pure It — False Commitments

I have been regularly calling the PUREIT helpline number for a demo of their machine and each time they lodge a complaint and provide a complaint number, which is very much on the lines of any complaint lodged with any company.
The problem starts when the complaint are supposed to be addressed, the very next day a message pops on the mobile asking for a feedback if you are satisfied with the service, please reply as your complaint has been solved. Wheres as no one has called from their customer service.
As I stay in Ballygunge in Kolkata the nearest customer service is in Jadavpur as informed by the person who attended after 3 months of calling for a demo, and after confirming every detail he kept calling to fix a date for the demo but he would say as i donot have the demo machine with me can i get a new machine and you buy it... how strange can anyone get without giving the demo they just want to sell and one fine day he did appear at my residence with the new machine.. for which i had to tell him please leave i cannot buy the machine without a demo..
I wonder if these people are kept to serve the customers or just to harass the people... each time i lodge a complaint the help line executive has just one thing to say.. sorry i will get it solved within next 24 hours.. and the message pops on the mobile without even anyone calling..

Dear Sir,

I bought Hindustan Lever's Pureit 4 Years back. I called to customer sevice of Pureit for germkill kit order on 2nd Sep 2011. They promise to send it with in next 24 hrs. But i didn't get te battery even till now. I again called them on 07th 08th & 09th, every time they promise me to replace it with in next 24 Hrs. Up till now the replacement is not made. There is no place where I can buy the kit becuase that was only
delivered by there delivering agent.
The request I placed for germ kill batteryis already more than a week that there is
no response from them, inspite of my regular calling and complaint
registration there is no response from them. We are daily buying liters of
Bisleri water.

Hindustan Unilever is such a big company but they don't need customers actually. In future Neither I will buy any product of this company & nor recommend to any friend. This is complete hrassment of customer.

I strongly want to drag these guys to consumer court. Please help me in the
process. Please call back or mail ASAP.

    have been got it tomorrow , that tomorrow has not come so for, while i will have

      I had bought pure it water purifier on 27th of feb. but from two days it is lickint water drop by drop from its base.

      Hindustan Pure-IT water purifier — Leakage

      ID No.[protected]. I purchased this item in the month of Sept.07. Immediately after few months the device started leaking from storage area. The mechanic corrected the same. Again after few days it started leaking which they have corrected by putting thread somewhere in the system. Now on 16.8.08I placed order for replacing the battery which they have done on 26.8.08. The present situation is that the device started leaking. I reported the same to the concerned complaint cell. They assured to send the mechanic for doing the needful.

      Since the leakage is still there even after repeatedly rectifying the same, I requested your delhi service centre to replace it. However, they require approval from the higher authorities. I shall be highly obliged if you could kindly instruct the concerned to replace the device. If necessary I am ready to make the difference in the total cost i.e. the present price & the purchase value.

          change of battery, worst customer service

          My name is Sarala , product purchased in the name of my mother, Mrs.Janaki 5 yrs back when the service was gud.

          It was on 5th March'11 i sent SMS requesting for battery kit for which i did not get any responce. As the battery was red on 10th March'11, i called up customer care requesting the status of the SMS which i sent to them on 5th March.I got a reply as request not registered and request was raised by the team with req no s11/chn[protected] on 10th March'10 , inspite of informing the agent that the battery was red nothing happened for the next 2 days.

          On 12th, complaint was registered by me for the delay, COMP NO:C[protected] NOTHING HAPPENED AND JUST GOT ANOTHER SMS as "ur order for battery kit has been placed with req no:s11/chn[protected], Our executive will visit in next 72 hrs" - again nothing happened other than only me calling up the customer care and logging repeat complaints COMP NO:C11321459.

          After 10 days of requesting batter kit, today again i have got a SMS as "Order for battery kit has been registered with reference no: req no:s11/chn[protected]" - not sure as how many more days i have to wait and how many more req numbers would be sent to me.

          Another funny part is that while i placed the 1st request 10 days back, price of the battery Kit was Rs.375 and today its Rs.400

          Hope so there is somebody to check & address the issue posted by the suffering customers.....

              Hi Forum Members,

              Wanted to share the experience of ordering the Germ killer battery Kit from
              Unilever Pure it, customer care center.
              I have ordered the battery kit on 22nd Feb and have followed
              with the customer care people after waiting for a week for its delivery,
              and what i keep on getting a response from them "Sorry for inconvenience, i will escalate your request and you will receive on next working day".

              Today is 2nd march and still the same answer from them...
              with more to add on it there executive suggested me why not
              you buy it from retailer near you instead of ordering over here....

              This is how the Unilever company operates .. is this how the customer should be
              treated and responded, kudos to these people and there services.

              I will indeed try to reach as many people as i can to make them aware of such companies that
              make big hype of its and in return when you get associated with them this is what you hear from them

              Unilever Company its such a shame to be associated with you.

              Pure it / HUL — battery kit not delivered

              hello,
              I had ordered for the battery kit for my water purifier on saturday the 10 th of April but it is still not delivered even after 5 days (15 April 2010). A maximum of 48 hrs is specified. i made repeated calls to the helpline on Monday, tuesday and wednesday, though they registered complaints there was no response.

              This is really ridiculous for a company that is considered to be very prompt world over. please rectify this at the earliest.

                myself vinod kumar sabu owning a pure it from last three years. i am really upset and dissatisfied with your service. I am regularly complaining about the product i am really not satisfied with the service and the contaminated water on top of it even some greenish part is visibly seen at the bottom of the product . I want to know how come you guys claim for a crore safety challenge where as my pure it is giving highly unsafe water. I want you to take immediate action on my complain. even i am willing to claim for the crore safety challenge. Kindly take this into action.

                Hindustan unilever pure — Products Complaint

                hello sir/madam
                we had bought a hindustan unilever pure it,,about 2 yrs back and had a good feed back in the starting and had a good responce from them but after 2-3 battery changes when the 3rd battery had gone those guys are not coming for battery change ,our first request for battery change was logde on 18/3/10 and we had a reply that the battery will be changed with in 72 hours...but its almost3 months but those ppl has not responded at all v tried calling them many times,and even told the ppl who market it on roadside but no use...this is one of the worst service we hav seen soo far ...its not the matter of money but the trust we had made on the company is false..and now we ask ppl around us not to go for this product as it has the worst responces....we hope some good responce from yu...

                thnks for the response. But after calling ample of times still none of the agents are bothered to come n check pure it. Initialy they took rs. 50 as for service charge n did nothing. I want you to take immediate action regarding some monica agency from where your agent came. Waiting for immediate response.

                    I had ordered for the outlet tap of the pureit filter onthe 15th Feb'11, it was told that it would be replaced within a day inspite of 3 reminder calls it is still not repaced now it is been 8days. This is not the first time this has happened here before when I had place an order for the germkill battery kit it took 3weeks to replace after repeated reminder calls.I would like to no why there is delay in replacing the order when they give us certain period of time. It causes a lot of inconvience to us.

                      I have ordered germkill kit 10 days back(11th FEB 2011) , bu t is not yet delivered.my filter has dried up and we are drinking non filtered water. Hindustan Unilever is not managing the after sale services for this product. I got syatem SMS with ref no. RFS/140183 on feb 11, 2011 to confirm the status of delivery. There were 3 calls made on [protected] and the callcentre says ther are sorry everytime and assure of delivery at the earliest.Customers are facing the drawbacks of outsourcing the complaints.

                        I am a retailer(M/s AHN Enterprises) from ghaziabad.As per the instruction of Mr.Shailendra Shrivastva(Tsi Ghaziabad) i have send the damage stock to M/s Garg Traders on 20/3/2010 value on Mrp.- 54,945.00.
                        but till date M/s Garg Traders has not reimburse against the damage stock.

                        As per the market information M/s Garg Traders has leave the distributorship of HUL & the new distributor i.e. M/s DGAN Enterprises has working now.

                        And when we talk to Mr. Shailendra Shrivastva about reimbursement they told us that the full n final settlement of M/s Garg Traders are not done by the HUL yet.

                        Kindly resolve this matter on priority.

                          For more than one year the same battery is in operation but with no indication/ warning for change of battery
                          indicator is not working hence, it is highly doubtful whether it purifies water or not is a big question. Our complaints over phone evince no response. They are interested only in changing battery. The person attending the calls knows nothing other than repeatedly offering to change the battery.
                          Now for the past six or more months it filters water and no purification happening.

                            we have ordered a water purifier(PUREit)in october 2010 and after a month the puifier battery meter goes red and on registering a complaint one of a person from the company comes and told us that your vender has given you a back date (i,e 2008 model) purifier and then after giving some commitment he leave.
                            now after 3 months nobody has come us to see or notice our complaint..

                              I Mr. Connie L. Williams purchased the new Dove deodorant for men named Extra Fresh non-irritant (24-hour), deodorant. After using this product for over (1) week today February 14th 2011, as I was bathing while washing under my arms the skin on the inside of my armpitts was peeling off. Exactly a whole layer of my skin came off from both of my armpitts, leaving my skin in those areas raw & exstremely sensitive as well as pianfully irritable when my arms are in a relaxed state. I have already called the company "Unilever/Dove" to make them aware of my unfortionate situation. However I also wanted to make sure that my problems/bad reactions, that I incurred by using tis product be knowned incase someone else is having simular problems/compliants.                                 We purchased a pureit (pure-) recently and it was leaking profusely from the bottom chamber and our concerns are still to be addressed. Needless to say, people like us based on our trust on HUL brand purchase pure- and what follows is a painful experience. Adding to all this, their stupefying responses furthers the frustration and stress. Even our effort to reach out to their senior management through mail has been an exercise in vain. Those at senior level will never respond and the ones who respond (The local offices bearers) are just buttressing and adding salt and chillies to the wound. They are equally hopeless. Let me recount my experience by putting up the mail that I sent them on February 1.The mail goes like this..

                                “It was 23rd January 2011, a fateful day, when I made this terrible decision of purchasing a pureit compact blue and what followed was an ordeal with this horrible product. There was a leakage on the first day, which was delightfully ignored. Second day's consequent filling also resulted into a leakage. Starting from 25th January, Mr Joby Cherian, a friend of mine, made a series of complaints (complaint no-C[protected] on 25th, [protected], [protected] on 31st) and was given the assurance of redressal within one working day, which was never kept.

                                On observing the pureit one can see water dripping from the central point of the bottom chamber, which is clearly a manufacturing defect. This can also be verified by your technician, only if he grace my home with his presence.

                                This product of yours has breached the trust that I previously had on HUL. It has also become a reason for loss of peace ever since I made that terrible decision!..!

                                Now coming to the most crucial point of this mail- I am announcing a self-imposed deadline to hear from your side and i.e. till this weekend, 6th February, 2011, failing which, I will consider myself free to approach the honourable consumer court. I do not expect a repair but a genuine replacement.

                                Lately I have come across the so many bad reviews about your product that is flooding the Internet and it’s tingling me to vent out my personal experience so that at least some consumers can be warned about this product.

                                This letter is a last hope on your claim “Customer relationship management in Hindustan Unilever ltd., is considered as the key parameter in building the brand. It also serves for us the key mission of bonding and understanding the consumer better continuously.”(as mentioned on the website)

                                In response to this mail, I admit that I got some response and was thrilled to receive the pure-it guys (two real people) at my home. They came and reinstalled the lost hope, only to be thrashed and assaulted later. Let me say something more about their visit, they observed the pure-it and agreed that it was a manufacturing defect. My goodness, they accepted it. This was the short lived “AHA moment”. I got the shock of my life when their boss spoke to me and asked for Rs 450 for the replacement and without losing seconds I responded with a stern no, not even a single penny I said. Boss conceded and said this will be sorted out. Their blatant promise ridden calls followed for 2-3 days with no delivery on those promises. Finally, on 4th February I called them asking about the progress. He said he is still looking for the proper replacement and will get back in2-3 days (another eternal promise). At this point I told him “Yours is the worst after sales services I have ever experienced” and his answer was very genuine “I agree that we are not able to satisfy you. I am also feeling bad that I am not able to help you but what can I do”. At last, at least one guy in the whole organisation accepted that they are hopeless and unable to fulfil their responsibility. Till 6th February, I got calls from many bosses and the deadline just passed and now- no more calls.

                                I am extremely disappointed with HUL and would advise consumers to be careful before purchasing pure-it, I mean pure-. This is not a promotional mail since I am not suggesting people what to buy but just what ‘not to buy’. Overlooking customer grievances has become HUL’s second nature and leave the only option of contemplating legal action. The HUL should learn from reputed global brands like Toyota who do not hesitate to recall their entire product from the market in case of any fault. In this case, forget about the recall thing as that will be too much to ask for here.

                                My grievance has been redressed though not without the initial hassles.Posting my complaint was fruitful.

                                I can say that the pureit team were forthcoming this time and delivered on their promise.They came on time and replaced the defective pureit with a new one.I thank them for reinstalling my faith in HUL. I hope this will continue.

                                  I placed an order for a battery kit on 7/02/2011, the call centre exe told me that i would receive it in one day. i waited till 10th.

                                  I again called up on 10th feb 2011 to know the status. The call centre exe said the order is not booked at all. i was surprised.

                                  Then i again booked the order on 10th evening, till 12th morning i have not received. Again 12th morning i called up and asked for

                                  the status and filed a complaint, the complaint no is C[protected], they said it will be delivered by 12thevening. Till now i have not received.

                                  When i asked them they are saying 14th i will get. I am completely fed up with this, what a irresponsible service. I am buying water can now for drinking purpose, god only knows when they will solve this.

                                        This is regdng the complnt regd of hindustan unilever pureit purchased fm Palakkad branch on 12th June 2010(near Malayalamanorama office) it has been creatng prblm since bigng.1st was of battery which didn't last even 5 mnths, now it has started overflowing due to problem of sensor. The main thing is the no responds attitude of the persons handling customer service.
