Hello Sir,

I have purchased Pure It water purified 5/6 months back. After that I have changed the battery twice. However no one has explained me about the life of the battery. One battery is costing me Rs. 500/- and after every 3/4 months I have suppose the change my battery. I have recently changes my battery in the month of june and still my pure it has not been working. Executive visited my home for change of battery is now answering my phone. On toll free no I have lodged my complaint several times but no positive reply.

Please help me out with this.

The response of the manufacturer / Marketing agent does not address the core issue of the consumer.
The product is widely marketed as a low cost alternative. However, the consumer, at the time of purchase, is not advised / informed about the operating expenses involved in the replacement of the batteries. The designed life span of these batteries are very short as compared to normal batteries and the general understanding of the lay consumer.
This is an intentional deceptive marketing technique and needs to be curtailed by law enforcement agencies. It should be mandatory on part of the seller to indicate or display clearly the replacement costs on an yearly basis alongwith the product selling price. This shall ensure that the consumers interest is protected as he can take an informed decision by correctly comparing the actual operating cost with other similar products in the market with transparency and competitive fairness.
better we should use general filter. because, we have to purchase the battery twice in a year and after fitting water chamber water leaks from the side of the chamber. i think it the most expensive water purifier.

    I am using Pure IT water purifier from last 3 month.
    Last Thursday 24th June 2010 i ordered pure IT germkill kit with reference no S10/DLI[protected].

    i received address verification calls right from Saturday but till now nobody is turned up with Germkill kit.
    The kind of service is very pathetic, and i am very unsatisfied with your services.

    Please look into the issue ASAP as per company commitment you are suppose to deliver germkill kit with in 48 hrs.

    Today it is more than 4 days, Germkill kit still not delivered.
    my son is sick due to water problem. email written but still no response.

    Please log a complaint, as a consumer i am suffering.

    I am using Pure IT water purifier from last 3 month.

    I left my home at 9 am and reached home at 7pm so I work at office between monday to saturday. Please ur service will come to my home after 7 pm.

    The kind of service is very pathetic, and i am very unsatisfied with your services.

    Please look into the issue ASAP as per company commitment you are suppose to deliver germkill kit with in 48 hrs and also 24 hrs.

    Today it is more than 30 days, Germkill kit still not delivered.

    i have given germkill kit battery order from last 10 days every day from TD-pureit received message your germkill kits will be supplied within 2 days i have received 10 message every day but till date not supplied
    i dont understand why this compony giving guarantee of rs.1 crore safty and also showing advertise instead of advertisement if compony giving service then advertisement cost can save and also face problems if customers giving complaint to consumer forum

    Pure It — No delivery of germkill kit

    Hi,

    I had ordered for my germkill battery kit on 9th. I was assured that it will be delivered to me on 11th.
    When I called on 11th, they said that they will place the order again and it will be delivered on 11th.
    I called again on 12th and logged a complaint. I was assured that it will be delivered on that day.
    I again called on 13th and complained to a assistant manager Lakshmi. She assured that it will be delivered and I will get a call from the Bangalore cell in one hour. I did not get the call.
    When I called again, I was told that it will be delivered.
    But the kit has not been delivered.
    Since water is a basic necessity, I do not have drinking water at home and have to fetch it from my neighbors.
    I would like to file a complaint so that I can get the kit and get along with my life

      I have logged a complain dated 12june2010, C[protected], this complain regarding germy kit, I have buy new germikit at 14may2010 with in a month its showing red.
      For this complaint ur excutive comes on 14june2010
      and said to us this could be replace with in to days. But still now its pending. Regarding this I have call to ur help line no, each and every time, they gives us new complain no ie[protected],[protected], but ur excutive not come again for that complains no.
      Kindly replace the germi kit asap.
      I am not satisfy with ur services because after 12 days condition is same as before.

      I am so regreted to but the pure it because your system is so poor i regestered many complaint on your old number [protected] but no response yet to received. i bought your new germ kill battery worth of 510/- rupees the your serrvice men said to us this big battery will work at least 4 months but it has to defused in 1.5 month now i am get ready to complain against the pure it company in consumer court so reply me as soon as possible. if you will not reply against my complain i will submit the complain against company in consumer court and then it is your responsblity to make your favour against court.
      I have logged a complain dated 23 Oct 2010 to yr excutive Mr. Mukesh Patel, But he was not visited to my home for sollution . My CUSTOMER ID IS [protected], This complain regarding germy kit, I have buy new germikit at 28may2010 of 2250 ltrs. Within a 5month its showing red.We are TWO members family.         Hi, I am Sandipan Baksi from Navi-Mumbai, Vashi. I got my Pureit (Cust ID: [protected]) Battery replaced on 15th May 2010 and was told that the battery will expire on a usage of 1500 Litres. It has been only around a month from that date and the battery has stopped functioning. I want to emphasize that I stay here with my elder brother and it is impossible that we have exhausted 1500 Litres in such a time span.

        When I am trying to raise a complaint, the technician is giving excuses that its because of the hot weather here and the Project Lead (Vashi Region) is avoiding calls (The phone is being picked by some family members who are giving lame excuses, like he is playing football).
        Request you for an immediate battery replacement as this is unacceptable from a company of such repute. Kindly guide on how to proceed for the same.

          I had ordered for a pureIT battery KIT replacement on 19 June (complaint no-S10/MUM[protected]), till date no one from the company (HUL unilever) has bothered to attend to it. The company assures replacement within 2 days, but till date not attended to. VERY POOR SERVICE by a BRAND like HUL.Its high time a advertisement is placed by PUBLIC in newspaper & other media NOT TO BUY this product PUREIT. Let the company first improve its service quality and then start selling its products. I have already started using bottled water and spend a couple of bucks. The company should hence replace the germkit FREE OF COST for their poor service

          Dear Pureit Team.,

          Its really surprising that you seem to respond faster only when a complaint is placed at the consumer
          complaints forum.Your service personnel did visit me on 28 June to replace the kit, however i was charged for the replacement whereas, I had clearely specified in my earlier complaint that the replacement should have been made free of cost.

          My claim is justified since i had to spend around INR 1500 appx for purchase of Mineral water for consumption.
          I have also clearely specified this to your team, when they had called me on 28 June and was assured that they would look into the same.

          However i am really surprised to find, 'NO MENTION' of the same in their reply referred above.
          Their reply above only states that the HUL personnel had replaced the kit. The reply completely blind folds and ignores to address the compensation towards my expenses incurred towards purchase of bottled water
          and the mental tension and time I has to spend on repeated complaints and followup.

          I hope the top brass of HUL will acknowledge the delay on their part which is a service lapse and compensate me accordingly

          Awaiting a early response and call from the pureit team

          THE COMPANY SEEMS WOULD LEARN ITS LESSONS WELL ONLY WHEN AN AWARD IS PASSED BY THE COURT AND IT WOULD GET WIDE PUBLICITY

          YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED TO NOTE THAT ALMOST AFTER 2 MTHS THE COMPANY (HUL UNILIVER--product pureit water purifier) HAS NOT BOTHERED TO REVERT BACK OR TO CALL ME BASED ON MY ABOVE MAIL.I have on my part accepted the fact that the PUREIT water purifier staff is not bothered about its consumers after the product is sold to end users. I am now in the process of filing my complaint in consumer court for inadequate service .I would largely request Indian consumers to CHECK ON THE QUALITY OF AFTER SALES SERVICE OF PUREIT WATER PURIFIER OF HUL.

                I purchased Pureit water purifier of Hindustan Unilever from an authorized dealer in Thiruvalla on[protected]. After the purchase I have changed the battery 2 times and the other kits once. We used to fill fresh water from our well for further purification but the purified water did not have the normal taste from the beginning itself. Even then we consumed the water thinking that it is purified.On[protected] I noticed blue coloured sediments in the water as well as on the sides of the transparent lower chamber of the apparatus. The sediments is that of Copper Sulphate,which is very poisonous.Myself,my husband as well as my 3 children have been using the water from it since we bought it.We fear that that our health has been seriously affected because of the regular consumption of the poisonous water from it.

                We demand immediate action and adequate compensation

                  hindustan lever pureit — No battery replacement for 7 days and still counting

                  We ordered for a new battery for PureIT system on July 3 2010. In spite of daily reminders, there has been no replacement for the last 7 days. The mentioned replacement period is 1 day. We are left with no water to drink! Still there has been no replacement, and the website does not work.
                  I have the same issue in Pune too. No replacement for 10 days now. PureIT is pathetic.

                  hindustan lever pureit — defected machine sold by company

                  i bought a hindustan lever pureit and when the very next day i installed itas i was not provided intallation by the dealer(surprising!), the tap and the body was found to be leaking. i made repeated complaints and when the engineer came and varified my complaints he first said he would repair it... did i pay for a repaired defectd water purifier??? second when i argued as it was purchased a day back and leakage was found at the very first use, he promised to replace my peice but after 2 days... does the hindustan lever purieit wants their customer to drink polluted water for 2 days dispite buying their product???

                      It needs to be taken into consideration that a house hold hardly keep any secondary arrangement as far as "drinking water" is concerned.A complaint was lodged over phone on 15.04.2010 that ' the equipment is overflowing and we are not getting potable water in the final chember and hence we need to be attended to as we are not having any secondary arrangement'.

                      After a second call at about 7.00 pm today i.e 16.04.2010 one personnel in the Help Line assured to be turning up within 8.00pm and finally didnot turnup.

                      Take it for granted that we are not going to continue using the product any more and register it that we are not allowing any service personnel to attend us any more since we have opted for a different source in the compelling circumnstances. A dissatisfied customer may be your asset.

                      Hindustan Unilever- PureIt — Poor Service

                      I purchased pureit on 6 april,2010 and have not received the bill for the same, inspite of repeated reminders to the sales executive who delivered it. Pathetic service.The sales executive does not even receives my call after selling the product... Is this the service hindustan liver boasts of??                       I have the same issue. From 6th I am waiting for delivery & every 2nd day I am getting a message that it is delivered !!!. 3 times I complained on that. Until now (16/10/2010) it is not delivered
                      I am doctor by profession .I have 2 units of pure it water purifier.One is in my clinic and second is for personal use.I am using this units since 2years. I called on your customer care and booked a order for battery kit.Call locked on 10/05/2012.SMS revert received.We are at home only on Saturday and Sunday because of our busy work schedule.Concerned distributor from Ghansoli area promised me to deliver the kit on Saturday .But after calling him on so many time , he has not yet delivered the kit nor he gave any satisfactory justification till date.On Saturday we were awaiting him just like anything as he promised to reach by 4.30 pm.I was very upset and left the home on 7 pm when he did not came .your call center was not that much caring towards customer.On complaining of same,somebody gave the mobile no.of Mr.Pandey,who did not answered m call.
                      I a very disappointed and already told at least 100sof my patients not to go for PURE IT.I am putting this on social networking site also.
                      Really shameful treatment from such a reputed brand .

                        My name is M. D. Mistry I have purchase a Hindustan Uniliver Pureit in April 2010. From your advertisement we were informed that pureit gives us 1500 liters water as save as boiled water but within two months our germ kill battery indicator has become red. In the pureit warranty details you assured us that in addition you cover the customer with a 6 months warranty against manufacturing defects & my case is nothing but a manufacturing defect because two months maximum 400 liters water is used in our pureit filter. So it is your responsibility & duty to replace the battery free of cost & save your companies reputation else I shall published all the details in my city news papers to make all your existing and prospective customers aware of such inconveniences caused to the customers post sale of product. Your customer care is most hopeless, I have made countless complaints but nobody has bothered to get back to us, we are only given false promises. I request you immediately replace the battery.                         Hindustant Lever - Pure it — Battery Replacement

                        I had purchased Pure it on 04/01/2009 (retail invoice number IS09/DLI[protected], the battery of which is not working now. I has lodged a complaint (Complaint Number S09/DLI[protected])with the company requesting for a replacement on the 26/06/2009, and was assured a service within 3 days.
                        Even after repeated complaints the battery has still not been replaced.

                        Hindustan Lever / Pureit — Hopeless Customer Service

                        My Customer ID of Purit is [protected]. I would rate the purit water purifier service is one of the worst customer service in the world. I have ordered a germ kill battery which am supposed to be serviced by purit by two working days failing which i have made at least 20 to 30 calls on there customer service desk but every time i have been answered differently & even after speaking to the area incharge on the same, resulted useless.
                        This could be the one no. hopeless service i have ever come across wherein there is no role, responsibilty of any service aspect & even the area incharge has no control over it at all.
                        I wish that I had read all these complaints before I bought pureit, now I am facing the same scenario with a defective carbon filter

                          I have order a germ kill battery on 12 Jun. But till date (17 Jul) it is not delivered to me. I have spoke to the customer care executive 4 times. every time they noting down the complaint against the same and sending a new complaint registration no by sms. But till now no fruitful result. When I ask about the nearest dealer details they say " sorry sir, we don't have the dealer details we will send it to your home directly. Hindustan Unilever being such a big company could not control and monitor its dealers for good after sale service to its valuable customers. please look into it.

                            I bought PureIt Water filter on 28.10.2009 from Hindustan Unilever Ltd's dealer M/s Janesh Sons, Ghas Mandi, Bhagat Singh Road, Muzaffarnagar. While buying the aforesaid water purifier I was assured that only twice a year I will have to change the battery of the purifier and the dealer has assured all type of after sale cooperation. The Battery provided with the filter stopped working in the first week of May, 2010. I contacted the dealer and they sent a representative who changed the battery at the cost of Rs. 365/- sometime in between 10th and 15th May, 2010. To my utter surprise the said battery stopped functioning on 10th June, 2010 and its button went red (which is indication of battery being functionless). I again contacted the dealer who directed me to contact HLL (Hindustan Unilever Ltd)'s online cunstomer care helpline. On lodging a complant there (No. C[protected] on 15.6.2010) they sent a respresentative (Mr Sachin) who visited my house and showed his inability and advised me to lodge a complaint with the customer care of the company.
                            I request you to kindly look into matter and see that within less than a month's time how a battery stopped function which is meant to purify atleast 1500 litres of water.By no stretch of imagination a family of 4 to 5 persons may consume 1500 litres in less than a month's time. The company is supplying substandard batteries, which are not upto the mark and they give much less services than assured by the company. It is only to dig in the pocket of the customer so that they may continue to change battery every month.

                            MY HINDUSTAN UNILEVER PUREIT BATTERY IS EXHAUSTED .I HAD ORDERED FOR A REPLACEMENT 15 DAYS BACK.I HAVE BEEN CALLING THE TOLL FREE NO.[protected]
                            SEVERAL TIMES BUT THERE IS NO RESPONSE.MY UNIT NO.ISRPB[protected] .I HAD PURCHASED PUREIT NOT BECAUSE OF ITS RESULT OR CONDITION, BUT BECAUSE OF ITS BRAND NAME, WHEREIN ALMOST ALL OUR DAILY USE IS FROM THE COMPANY.PLEASE LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND INSTRUCT THE PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE TO DO THE NEEDFUL EARLY.
                            My pure it is not changing the taste of water, when i had call the customer care before buying pure it, i asked them them about the taste changing matter, they had said that it will also change the taste of water after purifying it, but they r telling a lie, and i want it to refund my money, as i earn money with difficulty . rs. 2000 is very big amount for me. As, i am working as a worker in a shop, and earning Rs. 1500 per month, pls help, . I am Need!!!

                            Hindustan Unilever Ltd / PUREIT — Non-delivery of GKB / after sales service

                            I had ordered my first request for GKB on 12/04/10 and then after waiting 4 days I again made a request on 16/04/2010 and then 19/04/10, 20/04/10, 22/04/10 and finanlly today (i.e 24/04/10) i got a sms that my Complaint has been sorted out and i have received GKB. I Don't know where and when they hv given that...

                            Few of complaint no.'s which i hv noted are C[protected] / C[protected] and many more. After purchasing the water puriefier from such esteem & well known Co., for the last 2 weeks I 'm still using water bottles from outside vendor...

                            This is the Kind of service Unilever is going to provide... SHAME on the team of PUREIT... the SERVICE they are providing is really pathetic & cruelsome... I had purchased the product in the name of HINDUSTAN UNILEVER and never thought this kind of service they will provide... It is the time for the parent Co. to think abt this... SHAME ON HINDUSTAN UNILEVER.

                            Dear I have ordered GKB Battery on 2nd of September. But till date nobody is come to me for replacement of battery. We are drinking the same unpurified water. same thing is happen to me second time if you have the data base of last complaints you can check the data last time also i have ordered the battery and after doing so many complaints my battery got changed We were not expecting this kind of problem but now we spent amount on your product now we have to face the problem If any body is suffering from any dieses just because of drinking bad water who will responsible for that I have also word with your customer service manager I don't know his name but I have his number that is [protected] according to him he don't have battery in stock I am requesting you to please solve the problem as soon as possible because we are drinking tank water from last seven days and waiting for somebody got fever because we can't afford Distell water .

We have purchase PureIt on Feb 2010, but we have seen one problem in PureIt water Purifer, There is gap between top and bottom Pots. because that gap between the two pot, some dust particles goes inside into purified water (into bottom Pot). So we have no use of purified water. Your purfier functioning well, but when dust particles are mixed into purified water,

                              We have already put 4-5 complaints at your call center about this, but we dont have any response from your support team. They just suggest me fool answers. Please look into this problem.

                                    I have purchased your device i.e, pure it of Rs. 2000 two months back. It is not cleaning water properly.
                                    I registered a complaint against that on 9-June- 2010. My Complaint I.D. is C[protected].
                                    Whenever i call Customer Care that replies again & again to take action today.
                                    What is your process to correct the complaints. It should be not like this.
                                    I have seen so many complaints simmilar of mine. I am worried about this. But your Customer Care service is not Good.

                                      Hindustan PureIt water purifier kit is, in nutshell, a water leaking device. Every time I ordered for the GKB replacement I had to wait for 4 days to get it to normal functioning. Because technical person who comes to replace the battery, intentionally leaves the pureIt kit in leakage stage so that we would call him again.

                                      This time while placing order on 10th june 2010 for GKB I emphasised on this point about PROPERLY replacing the battery so that no leakage would result. But customer care doesnt pay attention to customers complaints instead they concetrate on selling high price GKBs. As expected, post replacement of the battery I'm seeing the water leakage from the pureIt unit. I placed a complaint again on[protected] to fix the leakage. To my suprise I got 'TD-Pure IT' SMS stating my complaint has been attended even though no technical person turned up. Such is the great customer care they provide. It is still open though the SLA 48 hours exceeded.

                                      As i'm the sufferer, I called up them and registered another complaint today. They said it would be a high-priority complaint but no one so far attended it. I'm wondering what do they mean by high-priority complaint.

                                      In single sentense " PureIt offers you loads of worries and tonnes of frustration at a cost of your phone call" please be refrain from buying it. It is good for nothing.

                                        I had booked 15 days ago purification kit after calling several times at [protected] and [protected] and finally got a booking number S10/KAN[protected]. Until now no body responded despite regular recalling at customer care. The response was pathetic as they responded very poorly telling that noo such booking has been made. Why does a company sells a product if it doesn't provides the neccessary kit. We are left to drink unsafe water in city like kanpur where TDS concentration is immensely high.

                                        hindustan lever pureit — poor customer response

                                        I have logged a complaint on 14th April 2011, for the set up of the Pure it KIT but the customer care people constantly go on telling they are sending the technician ASAP. It has been more than 5 days I am calling them to send the technician and they are very reluctant about it. Please help me on this.
