I booked the TURBO Germkill Battery Kit at customer care, after four working days,the technician repaled the new Battery kit but it was with Expiry date.
Also,before this i have replaced this six times, at that times the service was good and the company is not charging any excess money but this time, Rs. 25/- is charged more than prise stating it is service charge.

      i went to a shop m/s steel palace mehkar dist .buldana he is charging 395rs for the 350MRP replacable battery

          Hi,
          I bought this pure it on 12 Mar 2010 and 26 Apr 2010 my battery kits is showing red where i consumed 4-5 liters of water and i have given several complain to Pure It customer care but my problem is not solved some complaint nos are C[protected], c[protected], c[protected], c[protected], c[protected]. the complain was of leakage in the bottom of the filter and battery down within one and a half month where my consumption was of 4-5 liters of water , till my problem is not solved .

            I have a Pureit water purifier and using it from last one year, the battery has worn out and I have registered a request with HUL customer care for its replacement on 117th Dec 2008. Since then I have been calling him on 23rd, 26th, 30th and today too, only to hear, that we are sorry for the inconvenience caused, the complaint has been escalated and some one will be calling today. I am no longer able to use the water flter and forced to drink water directly from tap without filtering it.

            This is worst kind of after sale service I have seen. So I advise that plaease avoid buying HUL products as it has worst after sale service.

            Pureit Water Purifier — Functional defect

            When we put on the purifier the green light does not glow & the pure water does not come through the outlet meant for purified water flow.
            I have purchased a Pureit water purifier and this is second battery replacement and they claim that within 72 hours they will deliver and I booked it on 13th October and today is 26th and so far I have not received the delivery even after 14 days as of today.

            My battery is totally drained and it is completely red already and these people dont care if we drink that water and go to hospital even such is the kind of serviced Hindustan Uniliver is giving and they dont care at all the problems a customer is facing and even after such a delay they give standard replies like we will do it today and tomorrow.

            I stay in Kaggadaspura and their office is located in Domlur which is just about 10 mins drive from my place and consider in 14 days they are not able to deliver and god help if it has to come from other city may be we will not get it in one year also.

            At the time of buying the product they make such tall claims all of which have fallen wayside and I am yet to see a water purifier company who is so in sensitive towards the plight of a consumer and dont know now what to do.

            I am seriously contemplating filing a case in the consumer court for the harassment they have meted out to me and we are seriously facing a risk to our health as battery is totally red already for this reason I had ordered about one week before it was to become red but that also no use.

            So now i am not left with any other option but to file a criminal case against pureit

            Pureit water purifier — No service - exchange of battery

            I bought one water purifier make Hindustan Uniliver - Purit in the month of July, 2009 from Lakshmi Nagar branch. On 17th Oct.2009 I have made a request for requirement of its battery as it has already expired. The customer care executives are always promising that they will contact us within 24 hrs. I called them up around 10-15 times. But till date (28th Oct.), no action has been taken from their side.

            If the executives of Hindustan Uniliver is going through this, kindly do the
            needful immediately...that's all...

            PureIt Water Purifier (HUL) — Faulty Device and Despite several complaints they are not resolving the complaint

            Sequence of overall bad experience events with Pure-It water purifier:

            1. I purchased a Pure-It on October 27,2009. It was delivered by some Mr.Dinesh ([protected]).

            2. It has been leaking from day 1, and I had complined to Mr.Dinesh 3-4 times on October 28 and 29, everytime he made false promises that he is coming in an hour but he din’t addressed the problem faced by me.

            3. On October 31 I made a fresh complaint at pureit helpline (Complaint No. C[protected].

            4. To greatest of my surprise they sent me a message on November 02,2009 that my complaint has been resolved and if I am satisfied I can send a Ser 1 sms to pureit.

            5. Called up again to pure-it helpline on November 02,2009 night and yelled at them and then they said that message was wrongly sent due to technical problems in the system. He said that complaint resolution takes place in 2 working days, and its it just 1 working day passed for now and that is our company policy, so I have to wait for 2 more days which makes it November 05,2009 (A new crap definition given for providing services).

            6. Today they called up at my cell and started giving some crap which I din’t understand (lack of English training to your staff, I would say in this competitive environment) and then they banged down the phone and sent me a message again that my problem is solved and if I am satisfied send a ser 1 message.

            My overall take on this:

            1. Pure-It (HUL) doesn’t have a good sales team. (They sent a person who doesn’t even know how to install a device to customer’s place).

            2. Promptness to address queries is missing (When everyone in industry fixes up complaint issues on priority basis, HUL team takes 4-5 days and they give a crap definition that it takes 2 working days mininmum).

            3. Faulty technical equipments (Without sending anyone to my place for closing the complaint they simply send a sms that problem is addressed and want a proof of satisfaction sms in return to that bull- “Ser 1” keyword.

            4. Lack of training (Customer care staff should communicate to the customer in a language that customer understand, how come speaking in a local language in a globally competitive environment going to help HUL).

            5. Non-Adherence to company policies by Pure-It team (I don't think any company can have a policy where they will address complaint regarding new installation in 4-5 days time-frame.


            I have had a really bad experience with this device and some awkward explanation provided for service deficiency, and putting the blame on system and company policies, when basic skills are lacking in your individuals. I always respected HUL as a group and still i feel that if this matter can be resolved in a proper i can forget that HUL employs such a dumb staff who are tarnishing the group image in public.

            I am truly dissatisfied with Pure-It and wants it to be taken away immediately.

            Pureit Water Purifier — battery change

            Pureit Water Purifier — reg the so called Battery

            As far as a common man like me, would define a Battery as a electrical battery, such as Automotive Battery or Torch light Battery or even a watch Battery. But there is no such thing in the PURIT WATER PURIFIER. I dont talk about the safety features. But why do they call just a very ordinary Indcator as a battery. Why do they Cheat a Common man like me? The indicator Consists of just a Clorin type Block and when it dissolves in water, a plastic stem comes and blocks the water flow. Thats all. According to my Knowledge, there is no Battery in Purit water purifier. Today I spent around Rs.510--00 to change th so called battery kit. I dont know how to call this? Business Tactics or Mere Cheating.???????

            PURICOM WATER PVT LTD, H-25 3rd floor, Laxmi Nagar, New Delhi-110092 is charging 900/- for battery replacement of PUREIT WATER PURIFIER. Vide Reciept No. 113766 on 8.6.14.

            This is happened with me, this agency makes so many calls to me for change battery of my Pureit water purifier, i dont know how they get my phone number. They have asked me to replace my battery kit of Pureit water purifier so many times. Finally i asked to change the battery kit and they charged Rs 900/- and replaced the above kit. When i tried to check kits prise its was found that the date of manufacturing and amount was enraged from the packing box of containing the kit.

              I had purchased a Pureit water purifier of Hindusthan Unileaiver Company in March 2009 ( Customer ID of Pureit [protected]) at the time of purchase it was not intimated to us that the product requires change of Germkill Kit in every 2 or three months and servicing in every 2 or 3 months which costs about 500 in every quarter, however iam ready to pay the charges whatever is applicable but since two months the said purifier is not working and about 20 times we have made a complaint for the same , two times company's service boys attended the complaint , wash and service the product and assured us that the product will work then , I have also paid the service charge for the same , but after servicing the product didn't work , the non working of purifier was again conveyed to the Customer care representative of the said company and it was requested to send any expert or engineer as the local boys are failed to repair the product . Customer Care representative only assured us that the complaint would be attended , but till date ( after about 2 months ) the product is not working and we are either depend on mineral water purchased from market or consuming boiled water which is costing a lot .
              Therefore It is a humble request before the Hon'ble Consumer Forum to intervene in the matter and at least to convey the said grievence to the Company.

                Dear Team,

                I am a bank officer. I purchase Hindustan Unilever PURE IT Water Purifier on[protected] from Grihashree-e ;address : 201, Indira Gandhi Road, Konnagar, Hooghly ( cash memo no. 2203) due to unavailability of quality drinking water . I have the original cash memo & warranty registration card which certify warranty of six month.

                But on 17th of April (i.e. only after 13 days) the purifier stop functioning & since then we lodge complain to the showroom against it several time . My father at the age of 61 went there 3 time physically to get an appropriate answer & they told that it is now the company's matter & they can't help us.

                I request you to take action against the showroom GRIHASHREE-E & get the matter solved as quick as possible . I also request you to ensure that nobody has to suffer like me after purchasing something .

                HUL is a big company and has lost its focus on goods which they produce. They just sell things without quality. Because of this I bought Tata Swach purifier similar to that of pure it but no hassles. No battery change and no maintainence cost. Tata is an awesome company.
                THIS HINDUSTAN UNILEVER PUREIT IS MAKING A FOOL OF CONSUMERS.

                WHEN I BOUGHT IT FOR THE FIRST TIME, THEY SAID THE CHLORINE CARTRIDGE WILL LAST 1500 LITRES OF PURIFIED WATER. I DIDN'T CARE TO TAKE NOTE OF THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME. BUT WHEN I HAD TO PURCHASE A REFILL FOR THE SECOND TIME, I WAS GIVEN AN OPTION OF A HIGHER CAPACITY OF CARTRIDGE. I OPTED FOR THAT PAYING RS 510. IT DIDN'T EVEN LAST, MAY BE, 500 LITRES.

                I CALLED UP HUL PUREIT CUSTOMER CARE ON [protected] TODAY (16/8/2010) AND NARRATED THE WHOLE STORY TO A LADY AT THE OTHER END. SHE SAID THAT A PERSON WILL BE SENT TO CHECK ON A CHARGEABLE BASIS AND I HAVE TO BUY A NEW CARTRIDGE AGAIN PAYING RS 510. WHEN I SAID THAT A PRODUCT SOLD BY THEM IS NOT PERFORMING AS PER THEIR SALE COMMITTMENT, THE REPLY WAS THAT IT IS MY PERSONAL MATTER. WHEN I SHARED WITH HER MY OPINION OF APPROACHING THE HONOURABLE CONSUMER FORUM WITH MY GRIEVANCE, SHE SAID THAT I WAS WELCOME TO DO.

                THIS IS THE ATTITUDE TOWARDS CUSTOMER OF A GIANT MNC LIKE HINDUSTAN UNILEVER LIMITED.

                  I Purchased water Purifier from Hindustan Unilever 5 months back, I have been asking a battery change service for this product from past 1 month. Everytime I call the call center executive([protected]),they promise the the executive will visit my place and will provide the service within 2 days, but nobody turned up till today. Very very disappointed by the service.

                    It continued for a while and then company stopped the promotional scheme without any intimation leaving him with high stocks of inventory of colors and cosmetics.

                      This is to inform you that the undersigned purhcased the Purit of Hindustan Uniliver from the above dealer vide recept no. IS10/489-192 dt 19.4.10

                      It is regretted to bring your kind attention that on purhcase of this items, I have replaced the battery sofar 4 times, first time on free of cost and remaining time on payment basis, But this battery give the performance only for 2-3 months period, again we have to replace it.

                      We have purchased the same due to branded company, but we are facing great difficult that every 3 months we have to replace the battery by paying the payment

                      Again the battery is not working and we have to keep money every time for repairing the same. Being reputed firm of Hindustan Co, again again we have to spent on it.

                      Kindly look into the matter and arrange for replacement of battery free of cost.

                        I am facing a similar kind of problem.

                        Ordered a germ kill battery on 27th July 2010 & till now it has not been delivered despite of regular follow-ups with the CC team.

                        If I would have ordered a new machine then it wouldn't have taken more than 2 hours to reach my place.

                        My complaint no. is C[protected] dtd. 29th July 2010.

                        Hope it doesn't take years to reach though it is not free of cost & we are paying for it.

                          Pureit water purifier after sale service is very very poor. Inspite of repeated ordering for replacement of GKB nobody attended the complaint. Every time a new customer care executives attend my calls and talk some new things. I have ordered for a GKB 2250 litre on 29th April 10 and today it is almost four days passed, nobody attended my case. It is my sincere advise to the public that not to purchase the Hindustan Lever product like Pure it water purifier. It is only waste of time and money.

                          Pure It — replacement of GKB Kit

                          I have purchased Pureit on June 19, 2008. My customer id is [protected]. I requested for replacement of GKB kit on Oct 21, 2009, as said by customer executive and received SMS , GKB kit was suppose to be replaced with 72 hours, now today 9 days gone but I am still waiting for kit. Meanwhile I called 5 times to Pureit helpdesk every time I received same response Kit will replace today but nothing is happing. This is very frustrating. I was in impression that Hindustan Unilever Ltd is very good company but what service I received is pathetic. Now onwards I will avoid to using any Hindustan Unilever product.
                          I want to advise Hindustan Unilever management resolve all issue of Pureit as soon as possible otherwise you are losing your credibility very fast and all company products sale will affect because of Pureit services

                          This is Mukesh. The same instance happening with me. I ordered for GKB battery kit in june, But I did not get replacement yet. Every time call to their customer care, every time a new executive pick up phone and every time he apologizes and provide a new complaint id.

                          Where is their 1 crore challenge... bewkuf banate hain general peoples ko...

                          I fully agree with the above complaints. I am facing the same problem for the last two months (I too ordered for GKB battery kit). What is happening is that everytime it is a different consumer and different city. This means across the country the service is very very POOR & PATHETIC.

                          If any of Pureit team cares to do something about it, just DO IT.

                          I am a regular user of hindustan water purifier from Feb 2009. It is very good product but the agency service is very poor. almost all times they charged very high amount in their parts and also charged additional cost for the installation of battery kit.

                          In most of the times the pump (which is used to remove the block of water purifier) would damaged regularly, they will be charged Rs 50, some times i called through telecon they said only 20. but when buy from there they charged Rs 30 and not given the bill.

                          kindly let me give the spare parts price list at the earliest and request to you take necessary steps to controll these agencies.

                            I had made a complaint with Pure it's customer service twice. Nobody has come to my place to repair it. but I got sms that your complaint has been attended. My machine's warranty period is yet to complete. Might be they will have to replace any part. So they are trying to ignore my complaint. It seems to be I am being cheated by them. It is not a way to deal with your customer. Also it doesn't suit to company's reputation. So, please be alert before purchasing it.

                                I am Tarun Goyal , mobile no.[protected], placed an order for germikill battery with Pureit helpline [protected] on 24.04.2010. Assured me of supplying the said battery within 72 hours. Due to non response, I called the helpline on 25.04.2010 and again I was assured of supplying the same within a day. As there was no response, I called the helpline and registered a complaint on 27.04.2010. Having registered the complaint, I was informed that the matter will be taken on top priority and necessary arrangements would be made within 24 hours. After the assurances from the customer care personnel on helpline, no one contacted me nor the battery was supplied/delivered I again called on 28.04.2010. The customer care person on helpline again and again kept on assuring me that they have taken up the matter on top priority. Till the time of sending this mail, I have not received any call from your personnel regarding the status of supply of the battery.

                                Further, to get the customer care person on line through the helpline is an hectic task, that I have to hold the line for more than 30 minutes loosing my valuable money. After getting the person on line, there will lame excuses saying sorry and the personnel with get in touch within 24 hrs or 48 hours or immediately can expect a call.

                                I could not understand whether you are interested in supplying the battery. If not you may please make necessary arrangement to take back the filter as the same is of no use without the battery.

                                  For last 18days I'm trying to change the battery kit of Hindustan Unilever Pureit water purifier, 15 days back I'hv ordered through [protected] ... but nothing happened. Few days back (4-5 days) I again called at [protected], they took the details and given me a complain number. 2-3 days back I received a SMS "Your complain have been attended...", and I'm satisfied or not? Though nobody even called me up. I again called them, they told "within 48 hrs something will be done".. but no call yet I have received. On the other hand the purifier is not working, no drinking water in home.

                                  So it can be said that we are just a toy for all this multinational companies. They are not here to serve themselves but to suck our money and everything by any mean or kind.

                                    I bought this water purifier which was Pure it on 14th march 10.
                                    After seeing the advertisements of this huge product i was quite impresssed.
                                    the 1st day it was leaking from the bottom, this leaking was in a very small quantity
                                    so tried ignoring it. after some days it stoped purifing water. i was supprised
                                    for what happened, i called up the local store from the place i purchased it.
                                    he contacted the call center with me and asked me to speak to them.
                                    i explained the representive the whole story and in the end he started taking my order for new battery kit
                                    and wanted me to pay for it. i dont know if he was after his sales. again i explained him
                                    he now understood and promised me to sent a techinition in 2 working days.
                                    the tech never showed up. i again called my retail store and asked him to check
                                    he tried pumping it and temperorly it started working for 6 hrs at a very low speed
                                    again i called up the call center and explained the whole story abt the previous rep and everything
                                    but again even he started taking my order for the battery kit. i was just pissed off because of
                                    stupid customer servise and over all idot agents working with the company.
                                    after that day there was a rep. who visited my house several times but as soon as he lefts the problems continues
                                    i was irrateted. the rep. had me contact to their boss who was holding a good position in
                                    hindustan lever, but the boss seemed to more stupied then the tech and the call center rep.
                                    he assured me several time that he is going to fix the problem but it never happened even after
                                    several visits of tech. i got mad at the boss then he and assured me that he ll be speaking to his
                                    respective boss. i spoke with his respected boss who was a big even he could not do anything.
                                    i asked my money back to them then this is what they replied me. ' asa nahi hote' (marathi)
                                    means we dont do that. it was clear that they dont want to refund my money back,
                                    i finally got so pissed off that i got aggressive over the shop keeper, the shop keeper was a
                                    friend of my father so he refunded the money back which was on 29th April 10.
                                    It was a real bad exprience which even made me write
                                    on it. i am to lazy to write and i barely care for anything but this was a hight.
                                    i think this is how the crimes take place i literally felt that someone should kill them all.

                                    I bought a water purifier model no. - RPMO[protected] on dt. 27/4/10 from Electra distributer pvt.ltd
                                    B-29 Near Rama place, Faridabad. I was told that a battery purifies at least 1500 litres water. But I am sorry to say
                                    that my first battery lasted for 42 days only without purifying stipulated litres of water.
                                    I had to purchase the second battery on 14/6/10 for Rs. 365/-. It lasted for only 15 days.
                                    I complain at customer care (Complain no. - C[protected]. DT. 2/7/10,
                                    C[protected] dt 7/7/10, C[protected] dt. 14/7/10). I talked to Mr. Parveen on Phone No. - [protected],
                                    Mr. shailesh - [protected], Mr. Rajkumar - [protected], Mr. Nitesh - [protected].
                                    It is definitely a black spot on your reputation. I want you to take back the whole purifier and replace with a new one.
                                    Hope you will take necessary step at the earliest to avoid any embarrassing situation.

                                    I got my battry kit of pure it changed twice .The indicators dont work at all.So we are unable to judge the purity of water. complained many times .NO ONE ATTENDS.always some excuse and stupid reasoning.for past 8 months the indicator is pure white .

                                      Dear sir,

                                      we are the regular customers of pure it water filter and having two filters with us..we got fedup with their service..earlier for the battery replacement they used to take 20days and many reminders..

                                      recently 3months back we got the problem i.e leakaging the water from the filter and approached customer care centre i.e to [protected] , they told us to remove the parts once and fix properly if still its not rectified we will send the executive in 24-48hrs..but it was not rectified so we called them again..they took all the details and said our executive will call you in 24hrs, but we have not got any call for a week also so again we called and registered the complaint..again the same answer they said and without anybody's visit to our home they have sent the message to my mobile that the complaint has been attended..

                                      we again called them again and asked how can you send the message without attending the complain you will send that it has been attended, again they took the complain and again they did the same i.e we got the message that your complain has been attended..

                                      i am very much surprised on what basis they are sending these messages..we even asked them if you can rectify our problem kindly tell us so that we will go for another company's water filter (due to this my wife got severe infection and ill health, i have the reports also.) .

                                      we are mentally upset with their attitude and carelessness, kindly request you to take the proper action against them as soon as possible as this related to the public health..

                                      Pure IT filter — leakage of water

                                      i honestly say ur customer care z really very poor...i have been giving complaints for the last 3 months .iam just receiving complaint numbers but not the service.i called several times and each and every time they r saying we r going to send technicians within 2 days..iam really fed up..and one agent called 2 me from bangalore to know the status one month back and itz of no use...hope i will find some solution atleast now...

                                        My Name is Jatin Shukla & My Customer ID with the Company is [protected].On 31/10/2009 through a Jalaram Agency having its Address E-115, E-Wing, Parshal Co-op.Hsg.Soc.Sant Jana Bai Road, Vile Parle (E), Mumbai - 57 we had purchased PUREIT-M05 IWPS MAROON. My complaint is that at the time of purchase of product it was told by the sales person Mr.Brijesh - [protected] that product battery (by which the purification of water is done) will last for 6-7 months (1500 ltr.) and there will be a life time free servicing by the company of product in every 2 months time. We are family of 4 persons and now against 6 months time I have alredy purchased the battery in month of Feb.10 and today only i.e.29.04.2010 the service guy from the company has visited our place and saying that again the battery needs to be replaced.How one can know that 1500 ltr.of water is consumed in just less than 3 months time? We have been informed by the sevice guy that there is no co-ordination between the Sales Team and Service Team besides Sales Team just wanted to sale the product and achive the target do not provide full information to customer. We have been also told by the Service Guy that many sales persons have lost there job due to such wrong representation.At this point of time I feel that we have been cheated by such a reputed company and whom should we blaim. Aainst purchase price of product of Rs.2000/- the battery cost is Rs.365/-. If I need to buy it on a 3 months basis then my battery cost will be around Rs.1500/- p.a. which is quivalent to Product Cost. And from January 2010 the Company has smartly introduced a charge of Rs.50/- if call for any part replacement if one has purchased the product before 6 months. This is also not there as we have been told a life time free servicing. We have stopped using Pureit and also adviced others not to rely on such a false statements given by any Sales Person from Hindustan Unilever.
