Before I begin, here are the details of my order:
a. Order ID: 10162823
b. Date of delivery: 19th June 2016
c. Date of return: 21st June 2016
I bought a Sony Xperia Z3 from QuikrX which was tagged as being in "excellent " condition. On receiving the phone I find out that it was not in "excellent" condition. It has the following problems:
1. Screen popping out from one side. You could see the internals of the phone.
2. Power buttons couldn't be pressed. It wouldn't come out.
3. The volume buttons couldn't also be pressed.
4. One of the dual speakers wasn't working.
5. The screen would go black all of a sudden when a white background would open.
Hoping that these would be minor issues, I took the phone to an official Sony service center but there they told me just by looking at the phone that they wouldn't touch this phone because the full front assembly of the phone had been replaced with cheap market alternatives and I would have to pay another 8000 rupees to get that repaired. Feeling cheated, I called the customer care to take away the phone and refund my money nbut they said the company policy is to first send a replacement and if that also doesn't work, they would return me my money then . I said fine, as long as the money comes back. So they take away my phone two days after the delivery. 4 weeks, 4 weeks is the time that it took me to reach the end of my wits. In 4 weeks, Quikr hadn't even created my replacement ID. So I call the customer care up and after a long long argument on what should they do, they agreed to refund me my money the next week. It's been 3 weeks now. Since that day, 3 weeks. They haven't refunded me my money. Nothing. I call their customer care up everyday. I have been calling them up everyday since I returned the phone and they keep telling me the same thing. "Sir, we just confirmed in the concerned dept., your request is being processed and it will be all taken care of in a day or two". They say the same thing every single time. I have made numerous posts on the Fb page of Quikr. I have sent them 15 mails till now. Telling them about my problem. I am a student, 16000 rupees do matter a lot to me. I have spent more than 400 rupees on just calling their customer care number which isn't even toll free. I am tired. I really never thought something like this could happen to me seeing how amazing other companies like Amazon, Flipkart etc are with their after sales service. It's been a nightmare, but I have decided to stand up for my rights. I am registering a complaint tomorrow with National Consumer Helpline against Quikr. I am also getting information on how to sue this company in court. And I will do it. They can't keep my money for so long without any accountability.
Quikr customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
Dont advertise in www.quikr.com becaz they are earning by two ways 'LISTINGS AND LEADS' in servicesLoans. So they will get benefited, you will loose..
