[Resolved]  Quikr — Refund for amount paid for converting ac into premium - ad never converted!

On 22 may 2017 @ approximately 10.30 am, mr. Saurav ([protected]) from quikr called me and managed to convince me to convert my ads into premium ads. Mr. Saurav even insisted to be on call until i made the payment. Over the call, i was informed by him, that i will be receiving a verification call from quikr team and my ad will be converted into premium ad within 24 hours. He also shared his phone number with me, with the assurance that i can reach out to him in case of any questions or concerns.
However, i never received any verification call on 22 may 2017 and on 23 may 2017 until 5.00 pm. During this time, i tried calling and messaging mr. Saurav that i am no longer interested in converting my ad and i want to cancel the request. However, mr. Saurav never responded to any of my calls or messages. During the verification call as well, i had refused to verify since i no longer wanted to convert my ad.
Since then, i have been trying to get in touch with your team through phone calls and emails. Until the 25 may 2017, each time that i called quikr – premium ad team, i was either disconnected or connected to the doorstep team who was not able to help me out.
On 26 may, i received a call from ms. Komal who mentioned that refund is not possible. When i tried to reason with her stating that my ad was never converted and i would like to speak to the higher management, i received a call from mr. Manpreet ([protected]) who blatantly stated that refund is not possible quoting reasons such as –
1. The ad was converted in the back end (Which i was never informed or aware of earlier),
2. Mr. Saurav was on leave when he did not respond and how can i expect people to respond when they are on leave (On the contrary mr. Saurav responded that he was in a meeting),
3. Once a request is placed and the amount is paid, there is no refund (Nothing like this is mentioned on the quikr site, i am aware that once an ad has been converted into premium there is no refund – which is perfectly understandable)
4. 24 hours means until the end of the day (Which i was not told during my initial call with mr. Saurav)
5. You can do whatever you want – but you will not get a refund!!!
I have been writing to the facebook team since 25 may and all i get to hear is “we shall reach out to you”. So far, i have not received any concrete response for my complaint. I am now compelled to share this experience online, so that this may get the visibility required to trigger an action for my refund.

Update @ 01 jun 2017 - today i received a call from the quikr agent - saurav after 09 days to inform me the premium ad credits have been credited to my account!!! After all my products have been already sold off and my ads no longer exist. I have no email, no message telling me this and i am informed about this by mr. Saurav over phone. I refused the verification call, inspite of this. When i requested him to refund my money, mr saurav tells me about family and how people are dependent on him and how the refund will get deducted from his salary.

Quikr appears to be least bothered about resolving this matter..
This is the level of their professionalism? Telling the customers about their family problems?

I am so glad to see that this happened to someone else, too, because I feel lost against this huge company. You wouldn't believe the exact same episode involving the same characters happened to me on 18th May 2017.
Thank you for sharing Mr. Manpreet's number because the last time we spoke to him, we was quite rude and we didn't have his number saved.

After reading your complaint, I spoke to him directly and firmly asked him for my money. He has asked me for today's time. My complaint is yet to be resolved and Quikr is not helping. The guy Ravi, who gave me his personal number is acting like an #######.

I am sorry for the frustration you had to go through. I can perfectly understand it since I am sailing in that same boat. Never using Quikr for anything ever.

Thank you for sharing your concerns and now I an in the same boat and again culprit is Manpreet Singh. I think it is a scam racket.

I have finally received my refund, after endless badgering, calls, complaints, phone calls and messages. Quikr has resolved one complaint ATLEAST!

@Simran96: Dont give up and continue to follow up with the team, that's all I would say. If they are wrong, you should fight till you get your refund!
